Current The past month has been strange. I've been diagnosed with something completely out of the blue and I've been feeling quite low about it. I'm not ghosting on purpose, I'm sorry.

Sorry for leaving a couple of my partners hanging. In between running a group RP, getting a new dog, and restarting university, my head's been everywhere and nowhere. Tomorrow is a soft mental reset.

Partner came home with a little wrapped box for a "super early Christmas." Inside was a gorgeous tartan collar. He's finally agreed to let me adopt a dog and I'm hyperventilating

@Feyblue a tedious pre-RP discussion is usually a sure sign of failure, I'm afraid

Group RP is up and running and replies to my private RPs are almost finished. Sorry for keeping my partners waiting for a couple of days, I didn't realise how wild being a GM could be

The year on Earth is 2762. Exactly one decade ago, a meteor fell, shattering the small citadel of Eastwatch. The disaster was unforseen, and the world fell into discord; sealed within the meteor was a frail humanoid, curled up and hibernating. The Institute of Organic Science were quick to descend upon the ruins, taking the sleeping alien into their grips and dubbing her as EVE, the angel from the skies.

But with EVE's arrival, they came. Grotesque, unique beasts, pulled from pocket dimensions across New Earth. They started off as small pests, potent in swarms but easily disposable at the hands of the common military. Over the first few years, the beasts - named Hydra - became comic book villains. Anti-Hydra teams became known as action stars, and for a while, the Hydra seemed almost too fictitious to be true.

Then, after the midnight hour of March 24th, 2758 - Hullchester fell. An abomination of Hydra, unlike anything the militia had ever seen before, tore through the sub-capitol. Human resources were spent in masses that day, and the rampage lasted for 18 hours. It was only then that we realised that it was only going to get worse, and it was not going to stop.

► //Children of EVE ◄

The IOS came forwards with a proposition. They said that in order to fight monsters, they would need to fashion monsters of their own. With little opposition, Project:EVE was born; an ongoing and successful experiment involving the tranferring of EVE's DNA into preexisting human ovums. The resulting children are fast-growing, fast-learning, and remarkably unique, displaying superhuman qualities and mutations unlike anything the IOS could have predicted. Over the course of the next four years, 128 Children were commissioned, each displaying their own personal qualities.

A Guide on Character Creation

THE RANKING SYSTEM
► ► The Children of Eve are numbered 1 through 128 according to their potency. This system is implemented in order to appropriately match Children to high-risk missions and to maintain a balance within expedition groups; a group of Children will almost always contain a single-digit member.

THE CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM
► ► Children are split into the following three classes:
SAFE
Child poses no immediate threat to the environment or civilians. No containment procedures implemented.

PASSIVE
Child's threat level depends on circumstances. Accidental and collateral damage may occur when deployed. Child equipped with a mid-voltage shock collar.

HOSTILE
Child is innately uncooperative or aggressive, or struggles with self-control. Children with immensely destructive abilities may also fall under this category. Most HOSTILE-Class Children are never deployed, and are fitted with a optionally lethal shock collar.

AGE
► ► The title of "Children" by no means refers to their appearance. As mentioned before, the Children of Eve are fast growing, so whilst they are biologically no older than four years old, their appearances, personalities and intellect suggest otherwise. Physical attributes vary greatly; one Child may appear no older than thirteen, whilst another may even seem to be approaching their 30s. The lifespan of a Child is not yet known.

NAMES
► ► All Children of EVE are given a 'normal' name as part of social protocol. When deployed, The Institute who will refer to them by their Field Names, examples of which include: Beast, Sand, Crawler...

ABILITIES
► ► The abilities of the Children of Eve vary greatly. Some display psychological and telekinetic abilities, whilst others have enhanced senses or physical strength. Others bear physical mutations; extra limbs, eyes, and other outlandish things. If I deem an ability as slightly overpowered, I will ask you to tweak it.

The Hydra

The Hydra are massively variant abominations, birthed from pocket dimensions which open briefly and frequently across the world. Whilst it seems they are intent on closing the distance between them and EVE, they are viciously hostile towards humans. Whilst vastly unique to each other in appearance, The Hydra are categorised by the following titles:

@SilverDawn All yours!
@Kafka Komedy

Some are certainly more successful than others, so yeah, something like that.
@SilverDawn Oh! The position of 1 was requested a little while go via PM - it's completely my bad for not editing it in as soon as I saw it. Would you like another position maybe?

@LasreverI love her! No one has to be single-digit by any means, since there's more to EVE's children than just blatant violence. Looking forward to seeing her in play!

In other news, I'll have the IC up soon. Here's my own character in the meantime:

@Duoya Plenty of room!
Reservations sorted. Glad to have you all!
@Riddle Me This Looks great! I'll go ahead and slap him on the list.

@jynmi88 Absolutely!

Glad to have some more interest. I'll have my own CS up soon.
@KaiBoyGreat to hear! Number 1 would indeed be the most lethal, since the ranking system is based off of offensive capabilities. A lower ranking number may not have the highest kill-count by any means, but they might have irreplaceable healing tears or even something as outlandish as the ability to emit Hydra-confusing soundwaves. Gravity manipulation could certainly be a thing!
@Riddle Me This Glad to have some interest already!

To answer your question, if the number 1 spot were to be filled by someone whose only advancement was within their physical strength, I'd say that levelling a decently sized building wouldn't be beyond them. Think Hancock, minus the flight. Though I imagine that enhanced strength could be used in other ways, such as being able to wind up a punch so strong that hitting the earth would cause earthquake-like tremors. There is certainly a limit to just how powerful a Child of Eve can be, but it's a pretty high one. In my mind, 'overpowered' would involve something like being able to kill something just by touching it.
