Personality: All over the place. Like most people, she has her good days and her bad days. Sometimes she can't hide her emotions, and on occasion she tends to shut down and push others away so they don't exploit her vulnerabilities. At times Lili can't help but argue a point and expects others to side with her, believing she's right until she's proved otherwise.
Whenever she isn't on the field, Lili likes to have a good time. She can make conversation with just about anyone and isn't easily intimidated. She plays around with sarcasm and may sometimes cross the line, but she would never take it to the extreme to make others uncomfortable.
Appearance: A woman of very short stature, standing at just over 5 feet tall. She doesn't have the typical medium complexion tied to the Hispanic majority and she can pass off as Caucasian. Her dark brown hair is straight and falls down to her lower back, but more often than not it's either up in a ponytail or secured into a tight bun. Lastly, she has hazel eyes which appear to change colors depending on their surroundings.
History: Lili was born and raised in Pinar Del Río, Cuba before her parents made the move to Havana. She grew up an only child, not really needing siblings given she had many friends from school around the neighborhood who would often hang out at either one of their houses. From a young age Lili was very interested in the martial arts, taking classes when she was of age and even learning a thing or two from her father who used to be a military man himself.
Pursuing a similar path, Lili attended the University of Havana to earn a graduate degree in physics before eventually entering the service. Even though she despised the current regime, she wanted to do right by her people, and she always swore she'd rather do jail time than play dirty. Once she had enlisted, Lili met her boyfriend, Miguel, who convinced her to learn some English. She took his advice and fell in love with the language, learning more and more every chance she had.
A few years later, Lili took an interest in Krav Maga after she found about the art. She would ask a cousin living stateside to send her instructional DVDs so that she may practice with Miguel. Eventually, about a year into her new hobby, her command took notice and asked her if she could conduct a demonstration. Lili was static when the day came, teaching others the basic yet useful techniques to get out of difficult situations. The next day, Lili was called into her commanding officer's quarters. He had a lengthy conversation with her, discussing how he wanted her to travel to Israel to become a certified Krav Maga instructor. It wouldn't be a weekend trip, but she'd become one hell of an asset.
The news was shocking to say the least. She'd never been out of the island, only seeing the world in pictures and movies, but she agreed to go on the trip. The conversation she'd had with her parents that evening wasn't easy, although eventually they were happy about the opportunity she'd been given. Miguel didn't take the news too well, breaking up with her on the spot and accusing her of being careless. But Lili didn't chase after him. Instead, she gathered her friends and enjoyed a night of drinking and celebration
Once in Israel, Lili was mesmerized by their world. After getting over the culture shock, she got to work. Eventually, as time passed, Lili missed the island a little less, until she eventually didn't miss it at all. One night, she had a very serious conversation with her parents over the phone regarding her intentions to become a deserter and never return to Cuba again. There was serious risk involved, but she received their full support and she went forward with her plan.
About six months later, Lili received a letter in the mail. She found it odd given she maintained a rather private life, but she was nonetheless intrigued as to the content inside.
