Lorelai De Windt

Her notebook lay open before her on the desk, margins packed with chicken scratch so tailor made to the writer that her professors demanded any homework longer then a short answer be typed. Sprawled out in ink and graphite was the sum total of the days lecture lost to frantic confusion that saw sections split across multiple pages and some sentences ending mid-letter stroke because the professor had moved on faster then she could scratch. In spite of that, for an hour of class she had managed to laden down six pages in so many notes there was surely no way to fail.

Lorelai had absoluletly no idea what lay before her, much less what the professor had just demonstrated. She wanted to cry on the spot, but with that being her outlook the entire semester, she had long since grown used to putting on a smile and idly asking her classmates about their golden week plans. Her books felt like leaden weights in her arms as she laughed at some of the sillier answers, or sharing a wistful sigh at those who planned to head off to the beaches or go meet up with family after long monthes apart.

The spines of her books strained under the pressure of her grip and Lorelai had to forcefully exhale, loosening her grasp under the pretense of brushing at her uniform's skirt. There was a nagging desire for some physical release from her stress and she let her thoughts drift towards the Silver Farms. It wasn't a terribly large span of land but the prospect of getting her hands dirty under the sun, working her body to help produce some of the strange and delightful crops from the linked worlds set her heart at ease.

"Maybe I can ask about planting sunflowers. Florist Ume does seem to have stock out of season for it-" There was a hard crack as she walked head first into the doorway, heads turning to see her brow planted deadcenter to the wood while she blinked away stars. "Why does it keep jumping out at me like this?!"

Face flushing with the heat of attention she cried out an incoherent apology and fled the room in a whirl. The sound of further crashes would tell just how poorly she handled the stairwell.

I can work on a Master or another Servant once things solidify here.
I've got nothing against sticking around, just didn't see anything going on here. And don't have much of an idea for a Master.
Kanbaru Otoko

It was the day of the Umbral Games, and the one most excited hadn't even bothered to show up in person. Instead, clad in her familiar long coat and respirator was one of her Serei in a rather poor disguise. But CC did drive like her and from a distance, who could tell that "Kanbaru" was suddenly a few cup sizes smaller? Hopefully the Corpse Collector would be content to rampage and steal without fragging Kanbaru's group, but just to be safe, she made a note to not dilly dally and complete her own mission quick as could be.

That being, the theft of everyone's graduation.

Slipping into the administration building was a lot easier when all the students where away and attention was diverted to the chaos about to erupt in the city. Any locks could be easily busted without a trace, just add water and freeze, expanding beyond the lock's confines and breaking it. No doubt the Hentai Tenshi was busy terrorizing honest criminals while the real one got to have her cake and eat it too. "Now I just need the records room..."

Lorelai

A flash of energy and a proud knight emerged, standard mid swing to clothesline several students and hurl them towards the robotic enforcers. Lorelai was in prime form, her expression one of confidence and ease as shaft of her weapon exploded with a wave of force, whirling it to come around and smash aside another group of students. A great mass of fur and hair prodded Akiko from behind, the snout of Durgan rising between her legs to lift her up to his back where she would roll back into his mane of hair.

"Cower you pitiful fiends! I am here to crush your hopes and ambitions. All your work shall amount to nothing before my villianous ways!" The knight laughed, laying it on so thick she would have twirled an oiled mustache had she the disposition for growing facial hair. It occured to her after a pleasant night's sleep that crime was rather subjective. There was the letter of the law, the spirit of the law, and general morality to consider. So to participate in these games and preserve the virtue of her summoner, Lorelai thought it quite ingenious to instead deprive the competition of their ill gotten opportunity by sending them into police custody.

"Fear the name Lorelai Luxonne as you rot in your cells and know I delivered you towards penance upon my own assenscion. Bwahaha!" She cackled, explosions rippling from her heels and directed backwards, creating a menacing backdrop of airborne students and ruined roadway.

While the Watcher's had made slaughter of captive prisoners, their cursed existence's were just as curtly snuffed out under the retallation of the Escapees. Dragged down and crushed till none remained, even the whimpers of the werewolves rendered mute by the sheer incredulity that they had indeed prevailed, and having done so with ease. Credit was due to their skill, without doubt, but the mindless nature of these lost angels had rendered them no more intelligent then a simple golem. None that persisted in such hopeless agony could claim to hold their sanity, let alone any of the divinity that once powered them.

So it was rather alarming for the Giant Willowa to fall to one, a curtain of blood fountaining from a lacerated calf as Watcher who knew nothing of hunger stood behind her, sword drawn back from a slash that had carried it from the temple interior to the present battlefield. Armor-like flesh writhed a warm blue, tufts of magic leaking into the air that radiated a holy energy that struck Azrael with feelings of warmth while Raula would find it as toxic and noxious as the most combustable of swamp concoctions.

A backhanded fist as large as it's chest swung towards it, and unlike it's lesser kin this Watcher had the wherewithal to dodge, a beat of it's wing sending it gliding alongside Willowa's fist where a sword mounted beneath each feathered extremity cut a shallow gash into her bracers. Distancing itself from a hobbled foe it sprang towards Velo, sword raised high and reverbating with a endritch roar that shook it's bulk righteously. In the shifting of plates, Raula and Velo would be able to see inside and find that unlike the other Watchers, there was the vague impression of someone inside the fathomless chest cavity. Less a wielder of the armor and more an power source.

Just as quick as it exposed itself, it was still bearing down upon the Immortal with both holy blade and keen skill.
@Crimson Raven

Yes, fitting for the Napoleon Complex officer.

The MFF headquarters was a buzz of activity and fresh faces, the halls now bustling with stern men in JSDF uniforms. Young men in immaculately crisp uniforms storming up and down halls, hauling crates of equipment with a fervor that was almost religious in its intensity to match the demanding standards of their commanding officer. In fact, Yurei would find a great many following her same path, and upon entering what should have been Yashiro's office, she was met with a splash of crimson and pink in the normally steel dominated space.

Turning on her heel, the harsh report of a crop striking palm heralded a beautific smile that didn't quite reach the officer's eyes. Tucking her crap up her sleeve she met Akane at the door and forcefully shook her hand while she was still no doubt confused by the strange woman and even stranger forces moving in furniture, personal items, and an entire roll of plush, crimson carpetting no doubt soon to be fitted to the floor.

"Ah, you must be Akane Yurei. I've read a good deal about you, and I must say I adore that level head of yours. Exactly why I'm not moving into your office right now, in point of fact." The military woman tittered, an airy expression belying the tight grip she put upon the Kitsune's hand. It would have made for a threatening posture, if the woman wasn't over a head beneath Akane, even in heeled boots. "Oh, but where are my manners. I'm Fukushi McNair, the current acting commander of the MFF in light of recent events while your Yashiro is informing a board of inquiry about this organization's complete unpreparedness for a GMG sympathetic terror organization. Normally I'd hold little hope for one's career in these circumstances, but I surmise she'll emerge unscathed thanks to the first every acquisition of one Giant Monster Girl. Alive and nearly fully intact as well. A credit to the forces in the field, your self included."

"I think I shall greatly enjoy my time here, Akane-chan, though don't let my personal gratification hinder you from your business. I imagine you wanted to give a report?" McNair inclined her head and swept an arm inside, beckoning Yurei into the office turned madhouse. In a flash the crop was out, striking two men across the rear as they sought to box up and carry out Yashiro's belongings. Immediately and without complain both dropped to their hands and knees, backs perfectly straight as boards. The Commander of the MFF did not need a level to tell this and primly sat upon one soldier while beckoning Akane to the other. "I will have proper furnishings soon, but till then, my personal troops are an acceptable substitute. Now please, regail me with your report."
@Blizz
Nope, go right ahead.
Willowa Turnas

Three things became abundantly clear very quickly. First and most disheartening was that diplomacy was doomed from the start, the Nephilim proving themselves no saner then the lowest retches in the Abyss and lashing out at even the fallen Angel's placating words. Second was that, for all the horror of their visage and speed with a lance, they were sluggish in every other regard. Even Raula's sledgehammer blow sent the Watcher staggering forward far longer then even a novice combatant would allow, tipping forward in it's floating state before moving to right itself as sluggishly as it had pitched.

Lastly, the collars worked wonders on making the werewolves obediant, as the pain roused by Velo's furry saw them loose a howl of madness and despair before the three flung themselves at the recovering Watcher. The presence of claws and fur against it roused some manner of reaction from it, helm jerking wildly as they leaped upon it and tore it to the ground, struggling with a vigor that came from thr spectre of death looming heavy upon them. Their prey's helm peeled away, strands of feathered metal opening like a sickening flower with a coreof meat and snapped for the nearest one, only for a flash of silver to herald a dagger thrown through the mass and pining it to the temple steps.

"Strike hard and fast. These husks have nothing to offer but the echoes of beings far more worthy of prolonged battle." Willowa hissed, a vial already rising to her lips as her throwing hand drew back from the launch of her dagger. A drop expertly sloshed out and not an ounce more, wetting her tongue before being stowed once more.

The now familiar growth potion, used as originally intended, resulted in the already tall elf to tower over those assembled at 18ft in height, even her clothes expanding till the hem of her coat was a wall of swishing cloth. Sighting upon the nearest of the two Watchers drifting from the temple she crouched and spring forwards, tucking herself in tight before shooting out like a spring under tension, hammering it into the ground beneath her enlgarged greaves. There was a dreadful squelch of metal and flesh, a splatter escaping from her heel like a burst melon, but she hardly found it enjoyable when the miserable creatures were numb to their own pain. "At least we know flattening works. Oi, dogs! Use a rock or something and smash that one already!"

Kanbaru Otoko

In the wee hours before the day began for the Umbral Games, a flash of light illuminated Kanbaru leaning against her bed, eyes honed in upon the Serei she manifested before her. She'd thought the meeting was overdue given her reckless outburst when they first arrived, the Corpse Collector's actions getting them here in the first place, after all. "So CC, I think we need to have a little chat before I consider slipping you off the leash. I want to know if I'm going to have an issue using you in the future, because as fun as that ride was, it wasn't what I expected when I pulled on your powers before now."

Out of the light came the glint of silver as a gun pointed itself point blank to Kanbaru's face. No stranger to having weapons raised at her, it was more greeting than intimidation but both could have well mixed into the same for Corpse Collector. Her entire body manifest now, gun still cocked and very willing to blow the blunette's brains out. "How about you go fuck yourself. You should have rolled over and died nicely with that crash instead of wasting my time with negotiation," the hacker spat out. "Funnily, this is a nice little world you brought us to here. I don't think anyone'd bat an eye if I pulled this trigger. They might even graduate me before you, hah!"

"Hmm, testy, aren't you?" The Bluenette rolled her eyes upon receiving the Corpse Collector's warm greeting. If the hacker shifted her weight even minutely she'd feel the rug under her boots squish with excess moisture and it only took a thought to freeze it, raising barbed cones of ice between her immobilized feet in an overt threat. "You know, I'd almost sympathize with you. This place is really too good to be true, and if there wasn't a whole Tower still to climb, I'd jump at spending a few years soaking in the classes."

"But there is more to see, and you are a Serei. You think you can do anything without me? That what you call an existence doesn't just stop the moment no one is left to release your card? Shoot me right now, and I bet you'll poof back into a card that no one local to this floor will release. Sounds like Hell to me, CC, so let''s be a little more considerate of each other's feelings, 'kay~?" Kanbaru said brightly, leaning in till the barrel of CC's gun was flush to the skin of her brow. Perspiration from her brow shot down the barrel, freezing the inner mechanism without any outside sign of interference just to be safe from the hacker's spite.

"You think you can do anything without me? Or did you forget almost splattering into a wall because you can't ride a bike." CC ignored the clear threat gathered at her boots, no different than any player's abilities in her own world. Idly, she wondered how much this datascape allowed her abilities and idly she moved a foot around- "Hah!" Her hypothesis was correct, leg bristling and moving through the ice like a living glitch. Indeed, that would prove valuable for the future, because that also meant... "You know, I don't think you were around when I was big and bashful Kanbaru. Sure, my chances are shot to shit if I get dropped in that card again, but who's to say I won't reset in some other save area?" She didn't know; no one did, but that didn't mean Kanbaru needed to know the Serei Cards didn't know what was in the know.

"Oh sure, I'd just be given to some other user. Maybe. Point is, you don't seem to remember I have the advantage here so I should be calling the shots." Even as her gun was blocked by the other girl's body, frezing over near-instantly, she still had another hand, and thus, another gun. With movements of a seasoned gunslinger, she quickdrew another pistol with a grin. "I think one bullet's enough to turn this room into shredded wood, huh? So why should I put my cards with someone like you?"

It was surprising to see CC could actually phase through her ice, seeming to put herself out of phase like her leg was nothing more than an optical illusion. One that still had another gun and wasted no time in raising it to keep the threat alive, so Kanbaru responded in kind and absorbed her first Serei card. There was a rush as the color bled from her hair and she found her back growing straight as she sneered with renewed arrogance at the gunslinger. "You seem to forget I already have one card, one both more powerful and more cooperative then you. I'd wager, glitch or not, that a demon's constitution surpasses your bullet's penetrating power."

Her expression was clear to see under the light of portals now ringing the hacker, barrels belonging to guns of a far higher caliber now aimed squarely at her person while Kanbaru almost lazily reached up and grasped CC by the wrist. "If threats don't work, how about the carrot to the stick, hmm? I'm fond of your weapons and your style, so I want us to get along. To extend an olive branch, I want you to go so far as to walk a day in my shoes. More specifically, I want to let you crush the Umbral Games for me. Go nuts, burn down the city and hitch the Hentai Tenshi's panties to the back of your motorcycle. Just make sure to keep on the coat and mask when I wear your card to make a token effort at pretending to be me, and don't try too hard to kill my party members, and you'll be free to ravage an entire city. Play nice, and I'll let you out on another floor to have some fun."

"I just need a big distraction for the real crime to take place. Something so big, this school will memoralize my- Our names, for the rest of it's days. Assuming, of course, you have the drive to do more then bite the hand that feeds you."

"Tch, and you call me a cheater." CC didn't enjoy the idea of several other guns pointed at her face, especially when Kanbaru was flaunting a power that far exceeded her own. Her grin shirked into stubborn annoyance across her features, knowing when to back down when she needed to. "I don't remember you having those parts in-game. If I didn't know any better, I'd label you just as bad as any hacker. Whatever." She allowed the renewed girl to snatch her wrist and state her business; though for something she claimed wasn't negotiation, there was interest in what had to be said. CC raised an eye at what Kanbaru proposed and second by second her smirk returned. "Now that sounds more like worth my time. You sure you weren't just going to set me loose regardless of what I said?" Yes, the idea of running amok in these Umbral Games sounded almost too perfect for her.

But there's a catch. "There's always a catch. What, took soft-skinned to participate yourself? I didn't take you as anything less of the pragmatic kind, but if you're having me run around pretending I'm you, then clearly you have a plan. While I love the idea of tearing this city apart, common sense demands I ask what are you gonna be doing?" CC thought better of her words then before shrugging. "Not that I care since I get what I want in a short burst, but if I'm going around wearing your skin, the least I want is a reason why. The hell's this so called big scheme of yours, eh?"

Winning over CC's interest dispelled the ice and water, each portals winking out while Kanbaru tugged CC forward. With an arm sliding behind the hacker's back, she twirled the Serei towards and laughed with excitement to get what she needed. Eyes that shined liked chipped ice descended, terribly close to the Corpse Collector's own. "Oh that's the best part. While everyone struggles to earn recognition, I'm going to steal the very prize they clamor for."

"That's right. I'm goingt to steal everyone's graduation by taking the school registry. No one can pass if there are no students on record."

CC stared blankly up at the other girl. None of what Kanbaru said included maiming, violence, or anything of the sort. "Whatever strokes you off then. Nerd," was her instant reply, matching Kanbaru smirk for smirk. "Like I give a shit about some registry. I just wanna blow up stuff and shoot people that look like that hack Moon Rider. Let me do that, and sure, you can have all the fucking time you can have stealing some dumb shit paper, hah!"

"Tch." The name she mentioned caused a spike of something to throb painfully in her head. She couldn't place it and the moment she focused on it, the sensation slipped away like sand between her fingers. In only a second the pain was gone, along with the memory she was in pain in the first place. Instead she was caught up in CC's laughter and she took the Serei for another whirl through the room, reveling in the chaos that was to come over the horizon soon enough.
