So apparently, business shorts are a thing that exists. All I can say is... why?

Been busy lately, courtesy of the guy who thought that it was a good idea to have 3 assignments and a test due in the same week.

Anyone remember the period a little after guildfall, when the site didn't have a lot of work put into it, the servers went down pretty often and people were moving out? We waited and waited until boom, Mahz made America the guild great again. That was about where I left off.

My mistake was trying to take on everything at once (and being cringy as hell but I mean come on). Well now I'm back, and better than ever.

And I'll be damned if I let anything get in the way of having a good time.

In retrospect, it seemed obvious. The Stone Gargoyle, while distinctly not the Jailor, was probably one of the Jailor's lackeys. That should've been an easy connection to make. And now the Jailor was here, flames and death threats galore. Thankfully it hadn't seen him yet, or at least, it wasn't looking at him. That gave him an advantage, but what could he do with it?

Derrick crouched behind the bookcase, trying not to be noticed. He eyed his halberd carefully, wondering if it would be any use against stone. Edging around the corner, he peeked out to watch as the scene unfolded. It was his first time taking a good look at the Jailor so he took the opportunity to study it. It looked old, and it looked like it was on fire. Then again, he'd never seen blue flames, but that was what it looked like. Maybe they could use it to burn all the spiders? But the library would still burn down...

In the end, he wasn't sure the halberd would hold up, and he wasn't entirely sure what the Jailor could do to them. He couldn't just run out recklessly either, so he'd just have to wait. But that didn't mean he wouldn't act if he needed to. He tried to catch Kenza's eyes, to signal that he was ready to do... something. He didn't know what he could do, but that was no reason to try nothing.

Stephan looked left and right. He was at a junction, but he wasn't sure where to go. The park was over in a more left direction though, so he decided to go there. While down there he quickly realized the folly of running to the park, because he didn't know where he was going. And also because he couldn't see much down here. There were lights, but there weren't many and there was plenty of darkness to keep Stephan on edge. He supposed that meeting others with super powers would've helped but it really didn't. Instead, it only made him more worried, and that was because of his strange dream, the one that told him to kill people. He didn't want to, though, and that was the sticking point. Murder was illegal, after all, and he didn't want to have to resort to it. But there were too many things left unknown. If there were others like him, then they probably had the dream as well. But had it been the same? Perhaps they'd received a different set of instructions. Whatever the case, things were a bit too open to be comfortable with. Although, then again...

Stephan's train of thought was broken as he heard a strange noise. From somewhere in the deeper the sewer came some kind of scream, one that sounded like whoever made it had a throat made of sandpaper. Stephan stopped and stared back into the darkness. A short moment of silence followed before giving way to a heavy grunting. Then he heard fast, frantic splashes, as if something was moving through shallow water, and what could only be described as frantic and furious 'clawing'. The sounds were coming closer but he couldn't see what was causing it.

Stephan started running again. It was his policy not to deal with sewer hobos in dire need of a throat lozenge and a manicure, or something like that. That probably wasn't what it was, but he wasn't exactly keen to find out. Soon enough he came to what he thought was the section he'd gone into when he'd sunk through the floor at the park. There was a problem though, there was no manhole. With a muffled curse Stephan ran further, trying to find a place to go out. He found one soon enough, and without checking he jumped up the ladders and phased out of the hole. And then phased right back in as a car zoomed through his head.

Another muffled curse and a few seconds later he was out of there. Stephan got to his feet on the nearby road, looking left and right to check for any cars. Looks like he was in the clear. He jogged into the park, going towards the drink tap first. He picked up his glove, taking off the girl's glove and replacing it. He hoped he'd find the girl sooner or later; otherwise he'd have to hand it in to lost and found or something. Now that he'd done that, where was that man? Stephan couldn't see him anywhere, so that meant he either hadn't come yet or he was in a different section of the park. Looks like he'd have to look for him.

I'll post sooner or later. Been busy recently.
@Lord of Evil, @ERode

Do we want to collab this interaction or just keep it post by post?

I don't think it'd take that long so I'd be fine with it being post by post
The Blue Nova sighed.
"You know, this is why I don't like people like you." He said.
Despite the threat to his arm, the Blue Nova moved. He slowly pushed against his captor, trying disregarding his trapped arm. He only needed space to move. Hell, he only need a few seconds. He could feel his shoulder coming out - but that was what he wanted.
"If you want to break something..." He said, pulling his shoulder out some more. "Do it... Properly!"
He activated blue shift, aiming straight upwards. Immediately he felt his shoulder yanked out of its socket as he rocketed into the air. The pain was intense, but there was no time to scream. It didn't last long anyway. Besides, he'd dislocated his shoulder often enough in real life. Doing it in deep ground just didn't have the same impact.

Blue Nova's dash peaked in the air - low enough to not receive much in the way of fall damage. He was still slow as all hell but it wouldn't matter so much up here; he could let gravity do the moving for him. His right arm was of no use now, but he could use his left at least. Although it was highly unlikely that the rogue would just sit still and let him land on her.

Soon enough he began falling through the sky, curling his left hand into a fist as he did. Suddenly he noticed they had a spectator. Someone he seriously hadn't expected to be anywhere near here had arrived, and it surprised him. The Blue Nova landed unceremoniously in an awkward position, slowly getting to his feet.
"Oh come on..." He grumbled as the red king finished his lecture.
He very slowly brushed the dust off his armour with his left hand. Seriously, that rogue's abilities were pretty annoying.
"Seriously, Streak? You know me, I've never been big on politics." The Nova said. "Besides, I wouldn't peg you as the kind of guy to care about two people having a scrap."
The red king was, after all, the leader of a whole group of guys who fought pointless duels against each other. Although perhaps the previous days events had changed things somewhat.

From what I envisioned, Blue Nova is on the floor, back against the ground. Mauve Night is with him, positioned at a right angle to his head/neck/shoulder area, back also on the ground. And while Blue Shifting her into a wall might work, I don't know if he needs his feet/body to be facing the direction he wants in order to do so? Or if he'd just be shifting into the sky??

Either way it'd help but I don't think it's up. Unless rounds it total posts between posts rather than how many posts you've done after your last post...
@Dark Light Sorry for no posts lately, been pretty busy. May do it tomorrow, and if not then the day after. Did your sewer cat want to do anything to Stephan or can I just walk to the park?
@ERode

Truth be told I'm sort of confused as to where Mauve Night is in relation with Finn, and the floor. Probably just my sleep deprivation, but do you mind clarifying it for me?

Edit: Dern, tagged wrong person. Ignore that please.
Wondering if I can hit myself with nova burst. I'll post later on, I have lots of stuff to accomplish before the day is up.

Think one of the GMs said something about Moe's attack speed allowing for three-five shots per turn, so let's say he's at 9+ (75% slow) right now. If he doesn't pull some super badass tech out, we can wrap up the fight in my next post.

Now that I think about it, did you say your bullets increase cooldown? Because I didn't see it on the sheet.

And also, will probably post tomorrow.
