[Monday - 9:30 am]

Headmaster Sin’chi Hajime stood next to his large window in his office. He could hear the birds outside chirping and the light of the bright sun filling his office with happiness. This energized him as well since he is a follower of the Hikari, martial artists who follow the path of the light. But the expression on his face was not a delightful one. There was something troubling him that he found difficult to express to others. While staring out of the window, there was one particular spot that he usually visits, outside of the school located near the front entrance was a monument that was built a century ago. The monument was an anomaly to many of the students and instructors, which was a good thing to him because the people did not need to know the truth about its creation. If they did…he feared the worst would happen.

Suddenly, the bells of the school began ringing like a loud gong. The monks who were in charge of the gongs slammed their wooden sticks against several of them on the tallest towers that were located in all four corners of the school’s perimeter. These towers also served as lookouts, with scopes that could see far and wide. When he heard this, Sin’chi knew that his time as the new headmaster of Mikado Daigaku had begun. He has received much respect from others, but today marks the day he would actually participate as being the headmaster. Previously, before school started he was writing out the rules of the school and what needed to be done. He was pushing and signing an endless amount of papers and was only able to rest for one night. He placed his left hand on top of the hilt of one of his katanas’ that was held at his waist under his sash. He turned around as one of the monks entered through a dojo styled sliding door. The monk bowed in respect.

“Hajime-san, one of the homerooms is in the need of assistance. The other homerooms will be instructed by other assistants. However, this room has no one else who has the means to attend. We ask if you could come and help. I can escort you there.” the monk finished.

Sin’chi raised his eyebrow and nodded his head without turning away from the window. The monk bowed and waited.

It is the first day of school and we already have a shortage of instructors and teaching assistants, He thought to himself.

After pausing for a brief moment, he turned around and followed the monk. He was led to an empty room with large windows aligned on the left wall, a huge dark green chalk board, and four rows with five desks each.

“The students will be arriving shortly, sensei.” The monk said again.

Sin’chi took a piece of chalk and wrote on the huge chalk board, “Headmaster Sin’chi Hajime, Homeroom Class #4. Afterwards, he sat down at the desk and waited for the students to enter and took a deep sigh then closed his eyes.
Just like I was telling Spoo...the setting to me is feudal but I encourage you all to imagine this role-play the way you see it. That is the beauty of role-play and reading books, you can imagine your own world by using the characters involved. If imagining your own setting and world means that it will make the story that much more interesting to you, then I encourage you all to do so.

@Spoo
I hope you decide to rejoin us.

@tatszico
Looks well done. I accept.

Edit:
Our cast is looking pretty good so far. Many diverse characters with their personalities. This is getting quite interesting I must say. I wasn't expecting for this to turn out this way.
Feudal mixed with fantasy.
In a fictional region called Terrenus on the outskirts of a city named Ashville.

By when do you mean if it is modern?
Looks pretty good. Accepted. But put your CS in the characters tab next to OOC up top. Thanks.

Appearance:

Personality:
As headmaster of the Shaolin Academy and is within the bloodline of legendary Hikari master, Junichi, Sin’chi is a humble individual. It takes a lot to get him angry, unless he is up against a challenging opponent. Usually he is quite calm and can tolerate most of the students’ bad behaviors. He is also quiet; a lot of the times keeps to himself in his office for unknown reasons and only really emerges if he has something important to say.

Biography:
The bloodline of legendary Hikari master, Junichi Saburo runs through his veins. Though he has never seen him in person he has heard a lot of stories about his ancestor. He attended the academy at the age of fourteen and graduated at eighteen. Before that, he was working at a local bakery while practicing martial arts on the side. People would describe him as quiet, but intimidating. He always had a look on his face that looked important; as if he was constantly bothered by something but never tried to express how he was feeling. After the bakery, his father pushed him to attend the Shaolin Academy full time. After he graduated, he was offered a position as a teaching assistant due to his remarkable skills with the katana and magic use. He refused and decided to go back home where he would spend most of his time until he reached the age of twenty-four. He made the decision to go back to the Shaolin Academy and apply for the headmaster position. Each candidate was put to battle with one another and none of them stood a chance. He became headmaster and received immediate respect from the instructors and other students who know of his blood ties and remarkable fighting ability. He is now twenty-eight years of age, making him the youngest headmaster there ever was at the academy.
