Eliot was escorted into the overseers office. There in front of him he saw a middle aged man sitting at his desk.

"H-he-hello, I am Elliot F-Falk. I have come here to see if I can assist y-y-you. I-I also want to know If I can get a m-m-message out to my w-wi-wife."

The hired carriage hits yet another bump and you are justled along with your companions. You look again over the letter:

“You and your companions are invited to Falkreath in Skyrim Provence to meet with my servant, Bildam. He will be waiting in the Dead Man's Drink awaiting your arrival. He will instruct you to your mission, the dangers, and the rewards. Enclosed is the sum of 50 Golden Septims to pay for your travels to reach Falkreath…”

The letter finishes with a few safe routes into Skyrim and a date that with after Bildam will no longer be present (and the quest forfeit). You hand it to one of your companions and look at the mountainous land of Skyrim, cold and oddly mystical. You crossed over the mountains, setting off from Bruma, and traveled a day and night through the wind blasted rocks until arriving at Helgen to resupply. Now you where mere minutes out from Falkreath.

As you gathered your supplies the carriage pulled into the small city. The coach driver turned around and said “We are here, grab your things and get going. I am sorry for the rush but I need to get to Markarth in a few days time.” You disembark and the carriage lurches into movement and quickly moved down the road to the eastern gates where new patrons pay and climb on. Again with a lurch the cart is moving again and disappears around a bend.

Now you stand in the middle of Falkreath, the sound of a bustling town surrounds you as farmers, children, and guards and a rare noble move about their lives.
Dice Rules:

Now Edge of the Empire is a narrative dice game. There is no simple pass or fail here. The dice give narrative density to the game. A failure can be matched with benefits that sweeten the vinegar, or a success with a despair that sours a sweet victory. Typically any Advantage symbols gained on a test are spent by the PCs. But for the speed and simplicity of the game the DM will spend them to aid your story (unless there are a lot of them).

If a Triumph occurs (or a lot of advantages that equate to a triumph), then the player is allowed to interpret it as something really really cool being done by the character, a cool effect occurs, or whatever else the player can imagine. The player will PM it to me and I will approve (unless it is too outlandish).

Any negative dice symbols are interpreted by the GM.

-Dice symbols-

Do read the Edge of the Empire beginner sheet I provided as it explains what these symbols mean. For brevity sake I will leave letters to represent the symbols as follows

Triumph = = T
Success = = s
Advantage = = a
Despair = = D
Failure = = f
Threat = = t

-An example of a skill test-

Qa'Ra is running along the rooftops of Markarth when he needs to make a long jump to reach the next set of buildings. There has been a recent snow and the ground is a little wet. Following him are three guards in hot pursuit. Qa'Ra picks up speed and tries the jump.

His Agility is 3 and his Athletics is 2. Thus he starts out with 3 green (ability) dice and upgrades 2 of them to yellow (proficiency) dice. He will roll with 1 green and 2 yellow dice. The gap is not to far, but still not a leisurely hop, thus I add 2 purple (difficulty) dice. The snow is wet and slightly slippery, this I will add a black (setback) dice. I roll the dice and get the following symbols (after matching symbols have been cancelled out):
s s t t (2 success and 2 threat)

Qa'Ra makes the jump and is still on his feet, but the landing was not the smoothest as possible, -2 strain.

The soldiers follow suite, but there bulky Armour weighs them down. They roll 2 green against 1 purple and 1 red (challenge) dice. They roll:
f (failure)

The guards either stop before the edge or jump short and fall bellow.

Posting order:

Due to the narrative nature of the game. I will allow 1 post per player indicating what they want to do, I will then post the dice tallies and roll results followed by the narrative effects. If there is a triumph I will ask the player to PM me their idea for approval, I will either post the triumph outcome or leave it to the player. We then will start the next round.

A round may last a few seconds (in a fight) or minutes and hours (searching, travelling, gossiping, smithing, etc) If I feel that one player is getting ahead of the others by performing a time consuming task, I may state that the player does not get to post for the next round (as they are engaged for that period of time).

If a player drops out or does not post in a few rounds, I will simply NPC them until they return or forever.

We move…

PS. Play your characters like you never been to Skyrim (or is so only briefly). I know we all played the fucking video game, it still means we cannot play like the world is new
@Regendorf I will look into it. On the character sheet it reads Athletics as Str. But then that leaves END with only two other skills linked to it when all the rest have well more than that. Conceptually I will ponder on it (and am actually leaning towards Athletics being END). I will update you guys when I am done today’s classes.
All right @Eklispe@WittyWolf@Regendorf@rush99999 We are good to go, you just need to make some small corrections to your CSs I asked. I am going to start the RPG officially in a day or so. I will also post a rule compendium on how we are going to run this thing before that (a little blurb on post order and how I will run the dice mechanics). So be ready to ELDER SCROLL BITCHES!!!

@WittyWolf You are approved!

@Eklispe Can you PM me your build notes. I want to know what skills are from your 6 and your archetype. Also your free skill buys and any xp spending. Something looks off
@rush99999@Regendorf

Ka-Vara and Qa'Ra have been APPROVED (with minor corrections). Pending 1-3 more characters before we start.
@LotusWarriorGot it
No armour for him.

Question...do Knuckles and Punchblade come as a set or separate? If separate can I mix an match?
Right hand Knuckles for heavier punches
Left hand Punchblade for piercing jabs

Either way don't know if grabs work with either if them equipped

I am going to rule that you can only have one equipped at a time. This may be due to having knuckles in both hands. when you have a punch blade, your other hand is free to assist in the chaos of and-to-hand combat. Thus one equipped at a time, though you may take 1 action to change weapon sets. (additionally I will grab bonuses to rolls that use these weapons: Punch blade for stealth attacks and Knuckles for intimidation beatings).
[edit] As for grabs, if you have them equipped they should not case an issue, at worst a neg dice will be added (black most likely).

Also know [@Eveyone] this dice system is more about the story than pimping out your characters to succeed. You will be surprised how powerful your characters are and how boring it will be to just play the numbers.
@LotusWarriorMonk talent
While not wearing armor, increase soak by 1 point per rank

AH, right right. So the answer is no. They cannot stack as the quilted quality can only be applied to armour, thus you need to where armour to have the effect, thus disabling the talent.

@WittyWolf You are free to jump in. My max cap is 5 (I think we are there now). Once I have 5 approved Char sheets, 'we move'.

Elliot walked down the corridors towards the overseers office, thinking what to say. He needed to get that message to his wife, hell even leave the vault and get to her. He reached the administrative section of the vault and was stopped by a young man.
"You cannot go further, we are on lock down until the Overseer has settled things out." The man said.
"I-I-I Understand young man. I am in fact looking for the Ov-O-Overseer to see if I can lend some assistance." Replied Elliot.
The young man looked him over.
"I am a m-m-medical professional, he can u-us-use my skills." Continued Elliot.
The young man sighned and pressed a com-pannel. "Let the Overseer know a..." He looked at Elliot.
"E-El-Elliot F-Falk" Stated Elliot.
"...Elliot Falk would like to lend his medical assistance". The young man finished and waited for a reply.
