Been on-and-off of the site for a long time. Male, late-twenties. My interests are varied, but steer towards western fantasy and sci-fi. I'm picky with my weeb media.
Name: Ashelyth Iseris Age: 115 Faction: Alaitoc Craftworld Occupation: Ranger, walking the Path of the Outcast
Appearance: Short for an Aeldari, but still taller than many humans, Ashelyth is closer to six feet than seven, with a lithe build and the fresh face of youth, despite living for over a century. Pale-skinned with a smattering of freckles, her eyes are large and light silver-blue in color, and somehow the only part of her that seems old, due to her often distant gaze. Her long hair is platinum blonde, loosely bound behind her and typically tucked away into her hood when on a mission.
Wargear: Ashelyth's weaponry consists of her beloved Long Rifle, Silvershard, and her Shuriken Pistol sidearm. She wears lightweight body armor in the dark blue color of her craftworld, Alaitoc, beneath a long hooded cloak. The cloak appears a shimmering metallic silver color normally, but can shift and bend its color to match surrounding environments, aiding in her stealth.
She has also come equipped with a Ranger Gloom Field to help hide herself or her unit when under fire, and a Wireweave Net to deploy and use against charging foes, killing some and slowing the rest to buy time for a retreat.
History: Ashelyth's story so far is an all-too-common one on Alaitoc, that of a youth driven to desperation by the repressive mandatory discipline of her craftworld. Rather than cause enough trouble to be forcibly banished, Ashelyth left her people behind of her own accord, choosing the Path of the Outcast, taking up a rifle and setting out as a Starstrider, a Ranger.
It wasn't an act done lightly, as Ashelyth left family and many friends behind, and was well aware of the hardships and dangers that awaited her in the larger galaxy. But also she knew there was opportunity, adventure, and greater purpose in it than she could find elsewhere, and that she could not resist. She devoted herself to the craft, obeying the words of her mentors and trainers as law, and steeling her mind in the hopes of becoming impervious to malicious influences.
She started her journey on a number of Exodite worlds, offering her services where she was needed. After several years of this she ventured further, seeking out the territories of aliens, always reporting back any noteworthy developments to her home. She made a habit of watching those she encountered in stealth for days, sometimes weeks, to determine their temperament towards her kind if she could, before revealing herself and selling her skill as a sniper.
Her most recent and most notable destination was a verdant, lush world under Imperial rule that had come under assault by a sizable warband of Chaos, red-clad cultists and crimson demons fighting under the banner of the World Eaters traitor legion. Ashelyth offered her aid to the beleaguered garrison of the Astra Militarum there, and by chance encountered another of her kind walking the Outcast's Path, this one a Pathfinder of the Saim-Hann craftworld named Galanmaer.
Ashelyth spent two years on that world, honing her craft of hit-and-run tactics alongside Galanmaer against the utterly predictable forces of Khorne. The fighting there, the things she witnessed, and the overwhelming threat of Chaos, left its mark on Ashelyth. When she left the ultimately doomed world, she did so alone, sending only a slim report back to Alaitoc, and making no mention of Galanmaer. She left haunted and with the intent to return to her craftworld, perhaps for good, finally feeling like she understands the need for extreme discipline her people preach.
She wavered as she traveled, however, and when the call for aid from the Maiden World Yonah went out, it came as a relief. A way to avoid facing her family for now. She changed course and joined with the forces of Alaitoc rangers arriving there, ready to put her long rifle to use against whatever threat Yonah faced. All the while, a foreboding feeling builds in her gut, a feeling like she's become a moth, helpelessly drawn to the flame.
I admit I have no idea how old a "young" Eldar should be, so I guessed. If anything else seems wrong or not lore-friendly let me know. Some of the history parts I left intentionally vague, if you want the details I can always PM them to you.
Ashelyth is great! Definitely accepted! 115 is pretty young for an Eldar but I don't think its a bad thing! Many who choose the Outcast Path do so at a young age so it works!
EDIT: Also, as expected my weekend has been quite busy, but tomorrow I should have time to get the proverbial ball rolling on this properly!
Exonyms & Aliases: Caendoros the Liar, the Scorned Scion, The Gilded Shrike, Korvus Kraven
Age: 400-700 Terran years. Due to spending the majority of his life in Commorragh Caendoros has lived out of time and spent only about a third of his existence in real space.
Current Faction:Ynnari
Faction of Origin: Drukhari
Occupation: Spymaster General and Reaver Lord for the Ynnari warhost.
Appearance: Caendoros is tall even by Aeldari standards. His unnatural height is a product of the extensive surgeries that have altered every aspect of his being. He has a nimble loping gait, his balance kept by his black feathered wings. Over the decades he has lost his natural hair, becoming gray-white feathers and quills sprouting from the crown of his elongated head and down on his back and shoulders. Caendoros has grasping talons instead of feet and dewclaws upon his lower legs. Sharp aquiline features dominate his face with large green eyes. Caendoros is pale skinned and if seen naked the scars of torture, surgeries and combat are visible among tufts of feathers and taught muscle.
Wargear: When not in the security of his nest Caendoros dons his segmented Drukhari armor. It is a shimmering metallic green like the shine of a beetle’s shell. Specially formatted with the strongest and lightest materials possible to protect his hollowed bones and fragile body. Specialized anti-grav vents have been crafted in the legs of his armor that allow him to move with little effort. A small but specialized jump pack sits near his wings, capable of giving him a boost to enter flight or make quick maneuvers to throw off pursuers. His helmet is beaked and affixed with vox enhancers which increase his shrieks to a deafening volume. A decorative plume of feathers and quills, plucked from his own body run along the head and shoulders of his armor. At all times Caendoros is armed with a pair of venom blades he keeps either tucked within his wings or concealed elsewhere on his person. A blaster pistol is his favored sidearm and he keeps one holstered on his chest. When entering combat, Caendoros keeps his distance and uses either a shardcarbine or a dark lance if the situation calls for it.
History: Caendoros began life as a half-born of the Kabal of the White-Leg. His genetic progenitor was the trueborn scion of Dynozo Uzmahli the Kabal’s archon. Caendoros was a near perfect clone copy of Dynozo’s son Razzemi and was kept as a genetic backup should the true son be injured or killed. At best he was used as a body double, at worst his body was harvested for parts. When Razzemi lost fingers in a duel with a Hellion, Caendoros’ fingers were surgically removed and grafted onto his genetic twin. When Razzemi was stabbed and poisoned in an assaination attempt, Caendoros was drained of quarts of blood and had one of his kidneys removed. Caendoros was forced to endure this torturous existence, as prisoner in the black laboratories of house Uzmahli there was no escape. He was kept in stasis or solitary confinement, save those moments he was used as bait for the archon’s enemies. A pair of haemonculi kept their dark attention on him when he was out of sight of the archon and his scion. These cruel masters in the end provided his escape as during one of his surgeries they turned on each other. It happened almost faster than Caendoros could realize, they had kept him awake through all his operations so as to savor his pain and fear. But it had proved their undoing. The long decades of slow torture had lulled them into security while they handled Caendoros and he used this moment of laxity to attack and escape.
Freedom held no mercy and Caendoros found himself hunted and pushed to the sprawls of Commorragh society where he joined the poverty of the Parched. Without a patron or power of his own Caendoros had to fight and scheme every waking moment of his life. However he had the advantage of his life as the bastard twin of Razzemi to guide him. For decades he had learned through the most painful experiences just how calculated, ruthless and utterly driven a Drukhari had to be to survive and succeed in Commorragh. Through deceit, murder, theft, blackmail, exploitation and racketeering Caendoros climbed the social strata of the underworld of Drukhari society. He chose a new name and carved himself an empire in the shadows of the Dark City. Now with wealth and connections, Caendoros returned to the laboratories of the haemonculi and underwent the process of Ascension.
Though an excruciating experience, Caendoros endured the surgery as he had all others before it. Pride replaced pain when he witnessed himself for the first time after the success of the operation. No longer had he been reduced, now he had been completed, he had risen above them all. The Ascension to the eyries of Cammorragh was dangerous, but no more so than his life had been as an outcast parched. There among his winged peers Caendoros felt for the first time, bliss and perhaps even joy. Yet always in his heart and mind was the gnawing fury of scorn.
As a Solarite, Caendoros was granted access to the highest echelons of Commorragh society, Archons, Corsair Princes and alien warlords of innumerable species. He used this status to expand his influence and inflict his malice. He lied whenever he could, he stole and bought all information available on any Drukhari he viewed as a threat or deserving of pain. Caendoros had learned this hateful duplicity from the masters of Commorragh themselves and thought it only fitting he should demonstrate the effectiveness of their lessons. He made powerful enemies and terrifying allies. Principal of which was Khal-Kozier, beastmaster of Clan Kozier. Khal’s hateful disposition amused Caendoros and he found the beastmaster's jealousy and access to foul creatures a powerful combination for a close alliance. Though his actions were driven by his hatred and lust for control, Caendoros’ suffering and ascension had engendered a glimmer of true morality within him. This spark of hope nurtured a charisma that disarmed other Drukhari. Charming some into submission and service and frightening others into flight and fight. One such Drukhari, Succubus Dehzakeri Ohtani, fell under the spell of his charisma, and carefully timed pheromones and she became infatuated with Caendoros. She brought her Wych cult, the Pungent Petals, into his arsenal and became his most fervent follower. Caendoros found her obsession with him equally frightening and alluring. Dehzakeri was a proficient and sadistic wych who delighted in dragging out the final moments of her victim’s lives to play in their confusion and fear. Never too trusting of members of his own kind Caendoros learned early the best security was provided by foreign alien mercenaries. As outsiders in Commorragh they had little to gain from betrayal and much to gain from the payments for security given by Caendoros. Most trusted and loyal of these aliens was a cadre of Kroot Carnivores hired from the gladiatorial arenas. They are the only creatures permitted access to Caendoros' personal nest and are required remain within eye sight of him at all times.
With an eyrie of scourges, a wych cult and a menagerie of aliens and beasts under his command Caendoros worked to expand his network. While amassing a greater fortune and following, Commorragh was struck with a demonic invasion due to a disjunction of the Webway caused by the rebirth of Yvraine as the Emissary of Ynnead. In the resulting cause of civil strife that followed Caendoros saw the opportunity that lay before him. Forever dissatisfied with the Kabals of the Drukhari, Caendoros needed little reason to join the Ynnari cause. Though publicly he remains independent he is a known affiliate of Yvraine’s followers. Caendoros protects himself from reprisals by loyalist Drukhari forces by giving choice pieces of intel to their Archons. Though relevant enough to stave off suspicion this information is never vital enough to actually harm the Ynnari cause. More often what information he passes on leads to a brutal response, after which it is easy to recruit more followers for Yvraine among the surviving Drukhari.
Now Caendoros finds himself called from his eyrie by the Ynnari to command a host of Drukhari raiders. Acting as Spymaster General and Reaver Lord, Caendoros’ primary responsibility is the acquisition of information, and the assessment and harassment of any threats to the Ynnari cause both external and internal.
Dehzakeri Ohtani: Dehzakeri is the Succubus leader of the Pungent Petals Wych Cult. A true-born Drukhari of a powerful Kabal, she abandoned the finery of Commorragh nobility for one of violence and struggle in the gladiatorial pits. Nimble and dexterous, Dehzakeri is obsessed with the minutiae of her own movements and practices acrobatics and dance constantly. Her precision of movement is only matched by the depths of her cruelty. Dehzakeri is responsible for screening all recruits and enforcing Caendoros’ edicts. Equally feared and admired by the Drukhari under her command, she is a capable leader and strategist who isn’t afraid to lead from the front. How exactly she came under the sway of Caendoros isn’t publicly known. But over the years she has grown into his most zealous companion and ardent muse.
Ardera the Arch Harpy: Ardera is the master of the scourges under Caendoros. She is a frightening figure with a wiry build, elongated legs and enlarged feet. A pitiless predator who resembles an avian monster more than an Aeldari. Whatever had so drastically altered her body had also affected her mind. She was left with the personality of a raptor and it is precisely this reason Caendoros chose her as Arch Harpy. She is utterly without ambition and is happiest only when killing and consuming her prey. When not leading the scourges in realspace raids or acts of espionage and reconnaissance she shadows Caendoros’ every move. Her large saucer-like eyes tracking his movements and ever vigilant for any threat to her master.
Khal-Kozier: Khal is the beastmaster of Clan Kozier. A broad chested Drukhari whose skin ripples with enhanced muscular growth and implanted nerve bundles. Scarred from years of training and breeding the fiercest beasts, Khal has more than one limb replacement. An amalgamation of hatred and efficiency, Khal is reviled by those under his command. Dedicated only to himself and his own standing, Khal is intensely jealous of any Drukhari who displays an equal level of competence. Caendoros exploits these shortcomings and Khal’s own fears of reprisals by his clan members to command him as effectively as Khal commands his own monsters.
Tarkor-Vel: Kroot Shaper and leader of the troop of Kroot mercenaries under Caendoros’ employ. Tarkor-Vel has shaped himself and his kin through careful consumption of Drukhari flesh so as to adapt to life among them. Pale and long-limbed, spools of raven-black hair spill out among the quills on his head. Proficient in several dialects of Aeldari, Tarkor is a capable tracker and diplomat. Shrewd and creative, Tarkor is respected by the carnivores under his command and his leadership has led them to a life of wealth and prestige in Commorragh. Since joining Caendoros’ entourage, Tarkor and his Kroot have halted several assassination attempts and even participated in reprisal attacks on rival Kabals and gangs. Though as per the terms of their contract the Kroot are forbidden from engaging in open war with Caendoros’ enemies and serve only as a defensive force.
Here are the sheets for Canedoros' entourage. Tried to keep it brief, they will essentially be NPCs.
Dehzakeri Ohtani: Dehzakeri is the Succubus leader of the Pungent Petals Wych Cult. Excellent! I'll add them to his CS when I move it over to the characters tab!
EDIT: Update! Still fleshing out my own character, and hoping for maybe another player or two, but I can work with our current group if nobody else is interested! I expect I'll have a long and busy next few days, so I'd wager Sunday will be the day I will finish up and make the opening IC post, with or without any new interest! I hope to see everyone's characters between now and then! I will still pop my head into the Guild to check notifications, so if there are any clarifying questions between now and Sunday, feel free to ask them!
Here is the sheet for my Drukhari character. I'll post a sheet about his entourage and Reaver force tomorrow.

Caendoros is absolutely accepted! I love him! He'll be a good personality foil to the Warleader of the Ynnari forces I'm writing up! (Former Biel-Tan Autarch, so you can imagine the tension hah.)
Working on my own character currently. For my retinue, would a squad each of Wraithguard and Wraithblades be too much? I was also considering roping a Spiritseer into this as XO.
One squad of each is perfectly fine, and a Spiritseer to help with the psychic burden of guiding them would seem prudent! I welcome the Spiritseer being fleshed out a bit, too! Not unlike Tundrafrog's character's spooky ass Wych Cult girlfriend! Well-developed NPCs make for good flavour!
I'm sort of tempted to try my hand at farseeing...
You're very welcome to! If you go for a Farseer, I'd like to communicate with you in DMs about some things your character will be sensing/experiencing!
