There could be a hundred hours in a day and I still wouldn't get around to half the things I need to do.

Something about winter makes me want to curl up on the couch, wrap myself in a blanket, and join way more RPs than I have time for.

This is the kind of site where you think about it every day even if you haven't actually done anything here for months. Or is that just me?

Bio

Luminosity

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. I'm Luminosity, but feel free to call me Lumi or Lum. If you're here, I suppose that means you have some interest in me, my writing, or in roleplaying with me. Here's a bit about me and my preferences. In general, if you want to talk, about RPing or anything else, just shoot me a PM. I always try to make time for new friends.

About Me

Basics

I'm in my 20s, female, and currently trying to figure out how that whole "being an adult" thing works. I've been roleplaying on this site for a while off and on, but in general I've been roleplaying for over ten years, here and there. I'm on US Central Time currently.

Writing Level
My writing level on this site varies from casual to advanced, though the sweet spot is usually around 3-5 paragraphs per post. If I'm feeling inspired I tend to write kinda long posts, so be warned. I've never been a free-level roleplayer, and writing that little per post is typically something that makes me lose interest.

Activity
I love RPing, but I am busy quite often, and so my posting rate will vary. Sometimes I'll be able to post multiple times a day, and sometimes I won't be able to post more than once a week. Please keep this in mind if you'd like to RP with me. Also that more applies to 1x1's, I do my best to be consistent if I'm joining a group RP. My normal writing times for RP are first thing in the morning or somewhat late at night, but sometimes I can squeeze posts in during the afternoon.

Preferences
I'm mostly into fantasy RPs with a good dose of adventure and action, especially dark fantasy settings. In terms of mature content, I prefer a certain level of realism, and I'm totally fine with language and gore (I actually really like writing fight scenes). I'm happy to write romance, but I really prefer not to force it or have it be the main focus of a roleplay, but rather something that happens naturally if it feels right for my character. I've never written smut/sex scenes without fading to black, and it's not something I'm especially interested in trying. I enjoy group RPs as well as 1x1's, and while I've GMed in the past, I don't do it very often now, due to stress and time constraints.

I really only RP as female characters here, as that's just my personal preference. I write all kinds in lots of genres in my personal work, but I RP here to simply write what I enjoy most. I'm fine with taking on minor characters or NPCs of any gender if the RP needs it, though.

Games

Do You Play League of Legends?

I used to! You can probably guess who my favorite champion is. I haven't played in a long time, though, since I was never very good and ran into one too many unpleasant online experiences. I still follow the game for all of the amazing art and characters it produces, and I'm interested in the upcoming titles in that universe that aren't MOBAs.

So What Do You Play?
Lately? Apex Legends, Mortal Kombat 11, Final Fantasy (VII, VII Remake, VIII, XII, a real FF trip lately), and Resident Evil 3. Honestly, not a lot lately, just haven't had the time/interest in anything for a bit.

That's about it! Thanks for the interest, and if you want to get in touch, don't hesitate to send a PM my way. See you around :)

I'd be interested in hearing what you have for the Villain/Superheroine plot. PM me?
Persephone

Location: Yellow Rose Temple
Interacting With: Keystone, Militia, Temple Attendant

Seph listened To Keystone confuse and bewilder the militia guardsmen before the temple entrance with a raised eyebrow, unable to help a bit of amusement. Despite his disruption of the tavern environment earlier, she thought he seemed like a likable enough sort. Bluntness was pretty refreshing, when so many people sought to hide their true selves behind gilded masks, so to speak. When the doors to the temple opened, she followed him in.

"I'm Persephone, by the way," she mentioned to the militia guards. "I won't be long, and I promise I'll behave." Her tone was a bit apologetic, but the expression on her face was still halfway to a grin.

Maybe it was the fact that she'd known people with Keystone's sort of crude charm before, but Seph couldn't help a small smile while he spoke. She was glad Cremwise had recommended she speak with him. She could already tell that spending a trip with him would make things much more interesting than going without.

"Actually, I came to talk to you," she said, meeting Keystone's shifted gaze. "Merchant I met in the tavern had a business proposal he hoped you'd be interested in." She smiled for the temple attendant that came forward to greet them, bowing shortly. "But I figured I'd stay a little while, too. Collect my thoughts. It's a bit less hectic here." The echoing of the roared words from someone named Lob seemed to just confirm her words.
Hi! I'm interested in that plot idea you have at the bottom. If you haven't found a partner for that yet, I'd love to give it a try. Send me a PM? I'll let you know a bit more about me, and we can discuss :)
@Sigil

Yes, she is. She's not like tailing him or anything. I'd assumed Keystone was out of sight, though she saw where he was headed. So presumably by the time she caught up with him he'd be in the temple already.
Persephone

Location: Outside of Crossed Swords Inn and Tavern
Interacting With: Lucan, Cremwise

Persephone had a vaguely disgusted look on her face as Cremwise departed for the night, covered in vomit from Femnal. It really was turning into an awful evening. She hoped that would be the last of it.

"Well," she said, glancing at Lucan, "I'm just glad I didn't get any on me. I think." She started checking her clothes, pulling at her robe sleeves and twisting her arms and legs around to look. One splotch of vomit on her boot would be enough to make her thoroughly grumpy, but thankfully, she didn't find any. Finally satisfied but still feeling like she needed a bath anyway, she huffed out a sigh.

"We should probably do what Cremwise, suggested, go talk to some of these others, see if they'll join in the morning. You are coming, right? I'd really rather not fight off orcs all by myself." He seemed pleasant enough company, at least. Some of the other patrons from tonight were probably making him look better in comparison, though.

"I'll go up to the temple, if you want to find that white-haired archer." She'd seen the man leave the tavern on his way towards the Yellow Rose Temple. He was out of sight now, but she figured she could catch up pretty quickly.

After several rounds of gagging and desperately trying to escape the inn, Persephone made it outside with the others, and gulped in the fresh air. She was not unaccustomed to foul smells; growing up on city streets among the poor tended to strengthen one against that, but that smell had been in another league. She felt poorly for Femnal. Surely that had just ended the night in the tavern, and probably lost him a few customers. Sadly, there was nothing to be done, for her part. She found Cremwise, and aimed to continue their conversation, despite the horrid interruption.

"As I was about to say, before that awful..." she shuddered, closing her eyes for a few seconds, "well, you know. If you need my qualifications, Cremwise, I was trained at a monastery not far from Ravens Bluff. Hand-to-hand, melee combat, as well as honing my gift for healing. Several of the fighters here can attest to my ability, as they wouldn't still be breathing without my help." She wasn't sure what he was looking for when he wanted more information about them. Surely he didn't intend to delve into personal details for a simple escort job? In any case, much of her business was her own, but her training and skills at least were not private.

"And I would be interested to hear more of the job, of course. Venturing through hostile territory uninvited can't be taken lightly."
I'll be back and ready to post more regularly again tomorrow. Hope everyone's having happy holidays!

Persephone's eyes followed the gaze of this Cremwise as he looked over at Kyra, and shared his plans with her. She nodded her head in agreement. "Certainly, she seems to know her way around that bow of hers quite well." It demonstrated a great deal of confidence, loosing an arrow aimed so close to the gnome's head, and Seph wasn't quite sure how she felt about that. Skill was one thing, and good to know when one had it. Confidence was not dangerous in of itself. But a mere bump of her arm, highly possible in a crowded tavern such as this, could've sent the arrow through the gnome's throat instead. It seemed an unnecessary risk to take for the cause of... what? Showboating?

But Seph pushed the thought from her mind. The snow-haired woman had made the shot, and that was that. "You would do well to have more than a lone archer in your service, though. Orcs are more than hardy enough to withstand an arrow, and are not known to fight their battles at range." She glanced around, taking note of the growing number of skilled-looking figures arriving in the tavern, few enough of which she recognized from the militia. "But I don't doubt you'll find all the help you need here."

She took a long drink of her ale, tipping the mug back and draining the last of it. She sighed, contentedly. "I myself am Persephone, a traveling healer by trade, though I can hold my own in an armed conflict. I would be willing to lend you my services, if you believe a healer would be of use. An insurance policy, no doubt, I'm sure things will go smoothly enough, but good to have along, no?" She smiled at Cremwise, clapping her hands together softly.

"For a modest compensation, of course." Seph was often willing to lend her aid for no charge, but that was typically for those already wounded, weak, or poor. Cremwise was none of the three, and thus if he desired a skilled healer's help, there would need to be some exchange of coin to cover the expense. She glanced over at Lucan.

"Looks like I may be leaving town sooner than expected."

Persephone listened to Lucan's estimation of the man in question, the one with the large hat, and she nodded slightly. "He does have the appearance that he's done fairly well for himself, doesn't he?" The comparison immediately came up in her mind with marks she used to pick out for herself as a child and a young teen, back in the city. Well-fed men who felt the need to flaunt their status on the streets with finery. She didn't necessarily still lump men like him in the same category now that she was older, but as a child Seph most certainly would've wanted to follow this one, and reach her little hands where he kept his undoubtedly heavy coin pouch.

"I don't know about you, but I'm interested." Being the naturally curious sort, Seph found a number of the tavern's patrons to be of interest, in the way that she had found Lucan interesting. Skilled-looking sorts on the fringes of war, each for their own reasons. For everyone had to have a reason to stay, did they not? If they lived here they were either defending their homes or otherwise unable to leave, but the visitors all had options, and made the choice to come here.

Smirking slightly, Persephone sat up a little straighter, and whistled loud enough for the sound to carry. She signaled with a brief wave when she had a chance to catch the man's eye. "Excuse me? Yes, you there. Mind breaking a few words with us?" She hoped Lucan didn't mind, too. "Can we help you with something?"
