@Ellion I HONESTLY ALMOST DIED WHEN I READ THIS BECAUSE I THOUGHT I WROTE DOWN THAT SHE WAS A TEARBENDER SOMEWHERE OR SOMETHING AND I WAS LIKE "WAIT WHAT?" SO I HAD TO CNTRL+F TEAR ON MY SHEET.

but yes there will be much tearbending if you all think i'm a scrub. (which i am but it's a roleplay so lets pretend i'm good)

And the Waterbending Instructor is officially done. I hope everyone likes her! If everyone hates her then I might cry as I type up a new character.

I believe we're getting one more firebender application and so I won't be considering any character final until all three are in and give you guys a little notice like "judgement day is upon us" so feel free to edit and tweek as much as you want until then!

I've read both sheets! Since I know the firebender and earthbender have other applications headed in I shall be waiting before officially passing judgement but they have both been received.

Okay so I've been thinking about additional non-bender roles since it doesn't seem like there will be much of an issue filling out the rest of the roles. I was thinking of a non-bender who serves as the Avatar's bodyguard and has been in charge of safety for a while. Kind of like a head of security. (I hope you all got a funny visual of White Lotus members whispering into their robes 'The Avatar is on the move!' as well.) As for why they're not teaching the Avatar themselves, it could be any number of reasons; maybe they don't want to. Maybe they'd be a terrible teacher. Heck, maybe they WERE planning on teaching the Avatar and are super miffed to meet this other non bender.

And the leader of the resistance movement; the person who sways the Avatar and crew into helping. A strong non-bender who led the people and has a talent for leadership. They could obviously join the group when they decide to stay and fight and continue on with them throughout the rest of the books as needed. It might be interesting for a slightly antagonistic introduction to a character as well.

Let me know what you guys think about whether or not you'd be interested in some roles like that!

@Zugzwang Okay! Fully read. I'll just be honest and say I loved Yang. Perfect level of detail and a very interesting character; so much so that I'm happy to accept her the way she is since as far as I know nobody else is interested in the airbending role. The only thing I'll ask you to do before you post it in the character tab is color the sheet (her name, role and quote and all of the headings. I know you probably didn't because this was a draft and that's fine!)

I'm assuming you're not going down the route of spirit projection as a sub bending ability in exchange for the firearms and eventually Flight? Which is fine. As for her impact, I'd imagine it was pretty large and that her contributions are probably well known. Maybe something on the level of Book 3 Asami? Lots of reputation and many people in the field recognize her abilities. Since the White Lotus want the team to be as covert as possible I'd assume when they thought about bringing her in as the Airbending Instructor they might have helped conceal her identity a little and made it so some of her accomplishments aren't in HER name.
