I don't think I really had a particular culture in mind when I designed the Hanarth. Though their 'marriage' ideas were based off of the 'walking marriages' of the Mosuo people of Southwestern China.

I based my culture on biblical cultures then made a twist by throwing in scandinavian and western european settings.
I didn't have a culture in mind, either! I made my nation-sheet just from a smattering of ideas. I also recall that the phalanx when done right is a really powerful weapon. Also, I just remember castes from world history class! And... that's all I remember hahaha!!!
I hope I am not seen as a dumb person when I start making IC posts lol!

Not really. Tribe culture is simple enough, so it's really just playing a nation and a half. It's also realistic. American Settlers, Scotland under English occupation, the Amazon right now... history is peppered with nations comprised of two totally separate cultures. Maybe they don't get along as well, by hey, having a stubborn sense of national pride really helps.
I understand the need for realism..
but do you know what would be more real?? Having diplomatic relationships with other countries, especially the elven races like manas, hanarth, and deepwood! Manas is open for communication with torin! I will make an IC post about an ambassador from my country heading towards your country, will you take receive him in all formalities?
