By which I mean more precisely, when did you invest your time and interest in it? ...

I alternate between 'some concern' and 'utter indifference'. I vote in presidential elections, but I largely ignore state/local because basically everyone else (according to our system of a democratic republic) shares similar political views with mine. I do like to look at "Educated' political sections as I think it helps me to think things from a different point of view. As our thoughts and Ideas today our shaped by our experiences from our past, which is usually different than what another has experienced.

Set in a distant future where Humans have colonized other planets and have harness FTL travel to claim much of the Milky Way. In the beginning, a new Golden Age of colonization dawned on humanity as what was initially a dangerously overcrowded Earth with rapidly dwindling resources slowly tunred into limitless possibilities as plenty of land and resources became available. With the immediate danger gone, mankind turned to face many new challenges and questions, only one has been left unanswered; The existence of intelligent alien life... Until now. On a research facility on an Isolated frozen world a alien life form has disguised itself as one of the Humans on the facility. It's intent is unknown, has it come as a friend or as an enemy?

So one character is secretly an alien that has killed and disguised itself as it's 'host'. The alien can shift between it's human and alien form to fit the situation. In the alien form it is capable of 'infecting' other characters and turning them into a weaker version of the alien, though bound to serve the alien. The alien seeks to kill or infect all characters while the other players have to figure out who is the alien (and who is infected if applicable).

Just an idea. Not sure how it would work when everyone can see the post. One thought that came to me as I was writing this was that we would have a 'fake' post where we write whatever we want and we could have a 'true' post within a {hider} that (using the honor system) only players in close proximity to the character should view. Would make an interesting mechanic out of whether or not we can trust another.

@Lord Wraith and others: Thanks for the opportunity, it was a good distraction from my life. And I finally got around to working more on that DeviantArt series I was writing after life got in my way for some four months, so that's another plus.

I'm going to put in my two cents (even though nobody cares)

Due to the speed of the rotation of Earth, It is not completely spherical as the liberal media would have you believe and is, to some degree, flat.

Of course the Earth is not as flat as others claim. I mean, where else would Tsathoguaa be? Clearly he is in the light-less cavern of N'kai which lies below the red cavern of Yoth, which subsequently lies somewhere beneath the subterranean land of K'n-yan, which is somewhere under Oklahoma. How can the Earth be flat if there are like three layers of caverns?

to a lesser extent, the kind of bat is also important. what kind of wood is it? is it standard regulation baseball length?

But probably the guy with the baseball bat. Not 100% though, many variables would need to be addressed to be more accurate and even then, random chance is still a possibility.

so uh, everyone alive? Not taking classes this semester so I'm not sure if finals are over or not. Hopefully y'all get good results on them if not.

@Dark WindI don't know any free ones of the top of my head, but as with many things, 10 minutes with google would answer that.

Never heard of Inkarnate though but the map looks good. does it have Sci-Fi elements to it (specifically a solar system map of planets, artificial installations, and the like?) otherwise this would be something I could use for the planet my current deviantart series is using. saves me the trouble of having to describe the environment.

I spent the last 4 hours watching foreign propaganda on youtube for some reason. But I did find time to do some writing for a non-rp story (that I've neglected for some 5 months), so it is technically a productive day for me in my hobbies.
