Current I love hunt showdown. nothing like talking shit in prox chat while having a friendly cowboy shootout over a bayou bounty. Now I just need to acquire skill over ungodly amount of hours playing the game

Angus McSix and the Sword of Power is a pretty damn good album. I was hesitant about Thomas Winkler's new band after being booted from Gloryhammer but my worry was unfounded. He is def back one better

What's all this about DnD, where my CoC bois at who enjoy the game where every encounter can be a TPK, never use magic unless you want to die, and where you never save the day but delay the inevitable

Sounds good, I was playing through this old game series from the 90s to mid 00s and kinda thought it would be interesting to use the extensive lore to make a character.

I'll get a CS made for submission soon
@Piercing Light

Got two questions

1) Since this seems to allow a variety of characters from other universes, does this allow characters from fandoms like ,for example, one person submits a CS of an asari from mass effect?

2) Classes, Dungeons, and loot gives me a kind of D&D feel. Is this going to be mechanically driven (with dice rolls for example)?

Damn

I missed the 250th post I preemptivly called some 140 posts ago

I preemptively declare ownership of the 250th post.

Two months of waiting down the drain...
Interested. Prob have questions later but it is nearly 3 in the morning for me now and sleep is becoming more attractive...

@Windstormugly

I meant merchant but i guess I was thinking of something else when I wrote that.

And the second part was because no immediate way back to the ship was apparent and I was getting tired so I just wrote that purely in the interest of getting it done.
@Windstormugly

Ok, do you want Traveler to still be on the mercenary ship or can I just simply remove that part from IC?
@Lurking Shadow You need the..uh.. eye of the captain to..open the safe...

the captain is (relatively) safely held within Traveler's carapace (think of it like a cage) which would include his eye as it is still attached to his head which is still attached to his body. So he did bring it to the safe to open it.
@Carnic

I think I'll get to you and friends in my next post soon. Or the post after if you haven't moved on.

Currently working on different ways to write my next post and have not settled on anything yet. Thinking of making the voice more frequent along with the onset of physical alterations like maybe some spikes emerging from his carapace made out of keratin (a hard protein found in nails, hair, teeth, etc.)

Though my post will likly not happen till the end of the week as I am/will be tied up among Tiberium Insurrection/Starcraft Remastered/ and Agents of Mayhem so my time spent writing will be reduced.

And for the first reminder @Override Next Thursday to Sunday (I think, It's the 24th-27th) I will be at Quakecon so I will likely not post or work on a post within that time frame. But it will be fun attending North America's largest BYOC, chugging BAWLS, watching Master Pancake, attending booths/panels, hopefully win a contest or two, and other things I am forgetting about.
Traveler continued its search for the captain even as the ship began to strain from enemy fire. Luckily the immediate damage was minimal, but it clearly would not be long before the hull would be breached. Even though Traveler could survive an extended amount of time in space, most of the other pirates could not along with the merchant captain. The orders were clear, deliver the captain alive. Eventually it found its way to the captain and a handful of guards behind him in the corridor along with two fellow pirates who were pinned with few options. Knowing there was little time, Traveler quickly formulated a plan. Immediate execution of the four non-critical targets would make an easier task of subduing the captain. Capitalizing on his formless nature, Traveler opted to swiftly travel through the nasal cavities and tear the brains apart from within. Acting on its plan and coming from behind, it killed the four guards within seconds who alerted the captain when they each fell with a thud.

“What the f-“The captain said as he turned and was immediately interrupted by a large black wall which immediately enveloped him. Acting the only way he could, the captain pulled the trigger to Traveler’s dismay. Plasma was a weakness of it as a small portion of its carapace melted away, the individual cells dying off. Counter attacking, Traveler opted to sever the responsible arm from the body. A normally fatal wound given time, but Traveler only allowed him to bleed long enough to severely weaken the captain before sealing it up with its own carapace. The sheer pain from losing a limb along with the blood loss made a difficult fight for the captain to remain conscious, a fight that would take most of his energy rendering him incapacitated.

Shortly after, a small hole opened in the corridor. The hull was breaking apart from the strain of enemy fire which meant time was running out. With the captain sealed safely within its carapace, it went back to the hole, which was much bigger now, and quickly depressurizing the affected rooms/corridors and waiting for the two ships to line up right, it leapt towards the Typhon in a most cinematic fashion. Landing on it in seconds, it quickly found a airlock to enter the ship before the merchant captain died from exposure to space.
