Monster Laws -- Ancient Laws from the Ministry of Creatures and Legends

These are the laws that have been passed down from the first Ministry to the current one--although, many of the creatures that created the original rules still live in order to uphold the order they created. They are created in hopes that monsters and creatures may thrive among humans without bringing unwanted attention to this secret society.

Anyone caught breaking these rules are subjected to trial or immediate execution. Peace and secrecy must be maintained for the betterment of all monster races.

Were-Creatures & Shifters

Hider

Every were-creature wears an article of jewelry possesses at least one silver bead (to prevent random changes into were-form) and must turn on the full moon (against their will) or when they feel extreme emotions. Shifters, on the other hand, will have the ability to change when they choose and do not have to change on the full moon. If were-creatures have silver injected into their bodies (whether it be through bullets or weapons), it will act as a poison against them. Every were-creature family or "pack" will most likely have connections to hospitals as well as someone in the authorities to prevent any mistakes from exposing them to the world.

Were-creatures also have the ability to spread or "infect" others through transferring of saliva or other bodily fluids (take that however you please), making them one of the most populate species in the monster world. When a were-creature "creates" another of their species, Ancient Law states that the "creation" must be dealt with as the Ministry deems fit. If they are unable to live up to their mistakes, they and their changeling will be executed without trial. If one is to be caught changing humans against their will or threatening the safety of other monsters, they will be executed without trial. Attacking a human and killing them while in were-form will sentence you to permanent Binding.

If offspring are produced between Monster and Human, all offspring are to be claimed by the Ministry until further discretion. Anyone who produces offspring must offer proof of conception to the Ministry's Office of Human Affairs.

Vampires

Hider

Vampires are to feed only off of willing victims. If a vampire is to feed off an unwilling victim, they are to be left alive. If the victim is to be killed, a report must be sent to the Ministry's Office of Human Affairs. Punishment for the act will be subject to the standing of the human individual as well as the number of memories erased. For every memory that must be erased, one year of Binding will be required. If the human has no relatives or relations of any kind, they are to be simply disposed of in a neat and timely manner.

Vampires are required to feed at least once a month--or if they are newborns: once a day, but only until the thirst is sated enough that they will not go into a rage. Creators of each vampire are to take care of their "offspring" to maintain order and secrecy. Any signs of maltreatment towards a "newborn" shall not be tolerated.

If a vampire "creates" another of their kind through the act of sharing blood, they and their changeling states that the creation must be dealt with as the Ministry deems fit. If they are unwilling to come forth with their changeling(s), both creator and creation(s) shall be executed without trial.

A vampire caught creating more than a single newborn within their lifetime shall be executed without trial.

1. Swearing is allowed, but please refrain from dropping the F-bomb every two seconds. Be respectful of those who do not swear themselves.

2. God-moding is NOT tolerated. I catch you going super saiyan on this RP and I will give you the boot!

3. Cybering / Sexy Times are to be taken elsewhere, and by elsewhere I mean: off this site. Do not pollute this site's good name just because you're going ham with someone else.

4. If you are going to be gone for a period of time, please PM me or someone else within the RP--just so we know where you are. One-Post-Wonders are too common and are unacceptable in my book.

5. I am the Goddess of this RP. What I say--goes. If you have a problem with it, please PM me and we'll discuss it. Don't get all butthurt and make it everyone else's business.

6. Proper grammar and excellent spelling is something I greatly appreciate. If English is not your strong suit, then I may end up giving you a grammar lesson sometime in the near future.

7. Please love and tolerate others! If you don't like em, then don't make it everyone else's business! If you are having issues with another player, let me know! I'll see what I can do to make your RPing experience with them at least manageable!

9. Please note: I will have "Chapters" set up with some form of storyline for the RP. If you are in the middle of something with someone else, please PM RP and finish it up. Some jumps in the timeline may be a day to possibly a good couple of weeks. Keep this in mind as you're RPing!

Background Story:

We all remember reading bedtime stories about dragons and heroes overthrowing evildoers. We were always lead to believe that the they were nothing more than beasts and legends to remind children to never go out at night. We were always told that they could never truly exist in our world--a world without magic or dragons or princesses needing to be saved...

"Nana... why are the dragons always evil?"

"That's because they always kidnap the princess, sweetheart. Why?"

"Well... when I scraped my knee the other day, I started to cry and when my tears hit the scrape... The pain vanished and it was like I had never fell. DJ called me a big fat liar and told me that I was just imagining things."

"Oh, sweet one, I had hoped you wouldn't have to find out like this--"

"Find out what?"

We were always told that there was nothing to truly fear in this world except fear itself. But what we didn't know was that we were told wrong.

"My sweet one, I have another story to tell you, one that will tell you about the tale of why you can cry and heal yourself, but it is a sad tale, my dear..."

This is an RP where you can choose to be either a "monster" or a normal college student living in the city of Hallesdale--the city with the largest population of creatures from every other fairy tale or legend that you can imagine. The "monsters" are forced into hiding among normal people, trying to live somewhat normal lives. Every character is attending Halles College of Arts and Sciences.

A small club (often referred to as a "cult" by outsiders) known as the "Night Garden" is notorious for being very picky about the students who are allowed to join. This club, if you haven't already guessed, only accepts those who are "extraordinary". As of late, the club has been threatened to be removed from the campus due to their behavior and are finally accepting a small amount of human students in order to appease the student council.

The Night Garden is a club that seems to hold events in the later hours of the afternoon and their club room is found in the basement of Quills and Quivers, a bookstore owned by the current president of the club, Afina Talon. Their events include physical activity (laser tag, late night capture-the-flag, etc.) and they also participate in much of the nightlife in Hallesdale. They have no specific things that they do, as they are a club that does everything that other clubs typically specialize in.

I have set up a Google Doc with all of the current creatures in the RP! It has a list of their strengths, weaknesses, etc.

It's a work in the making, so please feel free to message me if you have any questions.

Any content that is found there is for your personal knowledge. If you would like to use any of the content, please ask for permission before copying it to your own threads! A lot of time and effort was put into it and I would like to receive credit as well as give credit to those that helped to create it!

Monsters can be either good or bad--they are just like people.

Also, yes, humans can take leadership positions, but as this club is mainly just monsters, one human has received the role of secretary. Other positions may open up at later dates, depending on activity and attitude towards the club in general. If you work to help the club or show potential, then you shall be rewarded. ^_^

Certain monster species shall have rules and regulations that they shall be forced to follow, I know, that's very cruel but necessary. If you have any disagreements or things that may be in my best interest to add, please PM me any questions, comments, or concerns. I'm always willing to listen and I'm fairly agreeable, so no need to fret.

I shall be setting up the actual thread and creating the profiles, so watch out for the link that will be posted today! (yay!)
