I have three tattoos on my neck and I hope indeed they keep someone from fighting me... otherwise I'm gonna be in trouble.

There are two ways to truly love someone: Become their best friend and then learn to love them, or love them enough to become their best friend. Either way, you won't be loved back. ;)

I also drink coffee before sleeping. Odd indeed, but it works for me.

The status bar is okay, but the "Friends: You have no friends" message is heart breaking.
@Project I will mention that everyone has quick-catching privileges, it's just that nobody has used them. I explained that at some point in the past. But, okay, you're just going to go for WHATEVER you might find on Route 1, eh? Alright, then. Let's see how that goes. Teh-heh. Nicely posted.
YES! Basically, surprise me! I'm counting on you ♥ XD
There was a delightful relief notable on Erza's face when the Eevee came out of it's pokéball - healthy and ready. The pokémon, however, didn't look quite content. It's cheeks filled with air as it puffed angrily. It made it cute if anything, but it certainly wasn't trying to look cute; anywho, Erza leaned down and the pokémon hoped on his shoulder. The boy moved over to Kalmia, who was handing Rory his pokéballs. Right after that, Erza also earned five pokéballs for him to use. The boy carefully placed them in a small compartment of his satchel, taking a deep breath. Professor Kalmia was right, losing here wasn't the end of the world! Erza thought...
But! It was time. With a respectful nod towards both Kalmia and Rory, Erza began making haste towards Pureplain City. There were some wild pokémon here, surprisingly or not, and Erza would catch at least one of each species he came across before making his way to Route 1. First things first - pokédex. Secondly, pokéballs - Erza kept three in his pocket for easier and quicker access - lastly, he glanced at the Eevee on his shoulder. It didn't seem taken down from their defeat - good! And so, the partners moved ahead to complete their first task; catching something.
And eventually, Erza noticed some movement out of the corner of his eyes. A wild pokémon! The very first encounter of a lifetime of dreaming and mentally living this moment, now flowing in reality much to Erza's delight. The boy crouched slightly down so the Eevee could leap from his shoulder and into the ground without harm. As wild as the pokémon a few meters ahead of Erza, was the smirk latching itself onto his lips. The boy quickly thought over the last battle - this time, he wasn't against a very heavily defensive pokémon, which meant... Eevee could go all out!
Alright, Eevee! We'll get it right this time, right? See that over there? Tackle!" @PlatinumSkink
So, given I was granted some quick-catching freedom, I will actually leave the encounter entirely in our beloved GM's capable hands. Basically, whatever it is, Erza will try to catch it and if he succeeds, he'll move on to search for more pokémon. If he encounters the same kind after catching, he'll battle it for experience - if it's different, he'll try to catch it. At least, that's how I think this will work - if theres anything I must change, just tell me so!
I'm quite free right now, so.. can I just go ahead and post again, or should I wait? Better avoid some speedposting even though I'm hella excited to get the whole catching business. xD
Level: 5 Status:87% Moves: Defence Curl, Powder Snow, Growl, Water Gun, Rollout Ability: Thick fat. Halves damage from ice and fire type moves.
Level: 5 Status:Fainted Moves: Tackle, Growl, Tail Whip, Sand-attack, Helping Hand Ability: Adaptability. Makes STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) more effective (2x instead of the average 1.5x)
Thanks to Eevee’s speed, it was able to dodge Spheal’s rollout. However, this meant that Spheal was a good distance away for its ranged attacks. Thankfully, Spheal’s focus on its rollout meant that it wasn’t affected by Eevee’s tail whip. Erza was good for a beginner, and Rory knew this. He’d have to try and get past Spheal’s low speed, and freeze Eevee, to make it vulnerable to Spheal. ”Spheal, use water gun, and then powder snow!” Rory called out, hoping that the cold water would make it easier to freeze Eevee.
Right, Eevee got a good distance away from the Spheal. It could easily move further back and avoid being hit at all, but that’d mean the battle would never get anywhere. The Spheal stopped it’s rollout, which gave Erza enough time to swiftly rush to brash tactics; ”Alright, Eevee! Tackle!” Of course, the brown evolution pokémon began sprinting quickly in direction of the Spheal. When his opponent decided to use a combination of water gun and powder snow, Erza smirked with a bit of sly confidence. Water gun is a straight jet attack - he expected it as much. ”Eevee, to the left! Now, move around until you’re behind Spheal and tackle it!” That easily got rid of the water gun attack. Unfortunately, the powder is still an area attack, so Eevee was caught and damaged in the midst of the snow powder. Frozen, however? Let’s see.
Rory wasn’t about to lose his first ever Pokémon battle, and called out his new tactic to Spheal, ”Qucikly Spheal, use water gun on Eevee when it’s right next to you!” Just as Eevee came in for the tackle, Spheal let out a water gun attack, ”Spheal!”
And neither would Erza! His opponent seemed a little careless, hardly ever commanding Spheal to dodge Eevee's attack. Eevee, who not only was faster but also had the advantage of having Spheal's lowered accuracy help him out, could easily move past the water gun attack because he was actually running around Spheal - not in a straight line. Once his opposing pokémon used once another water gun attack, Eevee moved to forcefully crash against the ice type for a tackle attack! Erza grinned wildly, only making his command when it was time;
"Great, Eevee! Now retreat and use sand attack, then tail whip! Let's distract Spheal until we have the upper hand!"
"Don't fall for it Spheal!" Rory called out to Spheal, "Growl at it, and use powder snow again!"
"Spheal!" Spheal growled at Eevee, following after with powder snow. This time, the wide-area attack was precise! It's a critical hit! Eevee fainted.
Erza's eyes widened as his mouth hanged open. The boy could barely believe that he lost his very first pokémon battle in such a terrible way. Immediately, he dashed all the way towards his Eevee, picking the brown-furred pokémon onto his arms and hugging the tiny creature gently. ""Oh boy, oh boy! I'm so sorry Eevee, I swear we'll do better next time, I promise you!" As the excitement of the battle dissipated and worry took over, Erza looked around searching professor Kalmia. She did mention something about healing their pokémon, yes? The boy quickly moved in direction of the laboratory and possibly to the healing machine - if there was indeed one, that is. Of course, he didn't greet the other trainer that emerged victorious today. It wasn't on purpose, though, he just became too worried about his pokémon.
