The only time I've shown interest in a Nation RP was something based off Candyland of all things, but it was dead in the water before all of us were able to submit CSes. A shame too,

The instigator anticipated his last resort. He didn't care. It's swarm speed forward to support the ukulele-playing annoyance. He didn't care. All that mattered to the Timekeeper there and then, was to deliver the final blow. Cause honestly? The thing was starting to piss him off. Swiftly, makeshift club clashed against rapier, but only one had prevailed. Fable had suffered a blow to his shoulder. Amber-colored oil; his blood, seeped through the cracks, revealing hints of copper alloy accented with slivers of silvers and gold. But this was a mere scratch in comparison.

In Fable's free hand rested Aeterna. And skewered on Aeterna was the corpse of the blue behemoth. Struck dead in the heart, as precise as the boy liked. His face scrunched up slightly as he shook the dead crab off, allowing it to turn to dust like the rest of it's friends. He turned back to the other three, but only managed a couple of steps forward before he felt lightheaded. Did he have enough energy left to heal himself? Luckly, he didn't need to bother. Elroy had stepped over to help him. The nickname did confuse him for a second though. "'Gear boy'? What are you- ...Oh, right." Fable's head turned toward the smaller gears that acted as his joints. The damages to his shoulder gear essentially paralyzed his arm. So when the rockstar healed his shoulder, the smaller boy took a moment to shake it back awake. "Thanks for the help, Firecracker." He nodded to Elroy with a smirk.

“No problem, gear boy!”

The Timekeeper's attention went to the doctor lady, Binky, as she listed off everyone who took part of the extermination. Apparently someone named Pac-A-Fist took care of evacuations, while Immortal Volcano and Cthulhya (Which he assumed was Elroy and Mary, as obvious as it was at that point.) were accounted for in the Crab Rave's execution. The boy tilted his head when asked if he forgot to sign up. He had to sign up?? Fable opened his mouth to explain himself, but the rockstar giving him a light punch caught him off guard.

"I-I didn't have time to sign up, I just ran into Doc soloing that thing and felt like she could use the help! Not to mention it trapped me between a rock and a hard place and if I tried to ran I'd probably be screwed, eheh..." He nervously stammered, explaning how he ended up getting involved. The meek boy he usually is pushing through for a moment. Then Elroy offered to give his half of the pay to Fable, making him more flustered. "Eh?! N-Now that isn't necessary, I don't need the money! Honest!" He tries to protest. Especially since he was planning on giving his half of the pay to Mary, as thanks and an apology. But the fact that he had to sign up to get paid slipped out of his mind.

Speaking of Mary, ze finally spoke up, looking as nervous as Fable usually was. Apparently the two were talking when the bounty was posted. A part of him didn't want to know what, but he could see the annoyance in zir eyes when Elroy dragged him into their conversation, to which the mechanical boy only replied with a confused shrug. When Mary started to tear up, his eyes widened in worry. The hell happened while he was busy?

Then ze explained what happened. Or really, what happened to Betty. And the Timekeeper could feel his "blood" run cold. How Mary described what happened, how ze just let this stranger manipulate zir and basically kidnap Betty for God-knows-what, the mix of emotions made him sick to his stomach. Elroy already ran off to search the Diner, so that left Fable's attention to Binky. Apparently she, or GEMINI in fact already knew who they were dealing with. A monster. One of the more humanoid ones. Vampire. But the way she talked about what happened to Betty as if it was just a slight inconvenience cause the boy to shudder. He was no mind reader. The doctor probably had high faith for her squadron to eliminate Justin easily, but how the hell could she act like that over a life at stake??

When she thanked him for the help, he took a deep breath to regained control of his emotions, and defaulted them into indifference. "The Timekeeper." He told her his handle on Shimr, furrowing his brows. "Inform me when that operation is ongoing, the earlier, the better. I dread to think of that bastard wanted with Betty." He bluntly told her, shuddering once more at the last sentence.

Binky shrugged. ”If the government decides to hire freelancers, you'll be the first one to know about the operation.”

Then he looked towards Mary. As much as he wanted to put some blame on zir, he couldn't. Ze was just a kid.

...They were both just kids.

"I assume you'll be helping out too? Behavioural changes are common in cases of mind control. If we're to rescue Betty from that thing, I don't think she'll listen to us easily. We'll have to find a way to break the curse. You can leave the fanged freak to me." He remained stern as he told zir his hypothesis, even if it was only bones at the moment. His expression broke into a confused, empathic frown. "I won't blame you for letting this happen, Vampires usually have an air of charm to them, but he'll be a nusance to kill head on if we don't figure out how his mind control works. Was there anything abnormal about him?" He asked.

Mary was still wallowing in self pity when Fable approached zir. “Well, actually, yes.” Zi used Danny to wipe zir tears away. “I don't remember what his eyes looked like. I think he kept them closed the entire time. but if he did look at me, I didn't see it.”

With a huff, Binky lowered her tablet. ”I'm probably not suppose to share this with you, but if you're hunting Justin, I hardly see the harm in sharing it.” She adjusted her tie. ”Vampires aren't exactly like the ones you read about and see on TV. Monsters have similar attributes but can be different in a lot of ways. You don't need to invite them into your home, they won't stick around to pick up granes of salt, and holy symbols have no effects on them. One fortunate difference is that they cannot easy make more vampires. Instead, they make thralls.” She folded her arms. ”A vampire's infected blood is enough to turn a human into a thrall. An esper can resist the effects, but a human stands no chance. They can inject their infected blood into their target, which enthralls their will and makes them puppets of the vampire. They become their servants, doing their bidding. That can mean anything from attacking humans, cleaning their house...” Binky closed her eyes. ”...or allowing the vampire to drink all of their blood at a later date.”

Mary pressed zir hands together, or at least placed a hand in Danny's mouth. “Then we have to act quickly!”

”What happened is tragic, but even if you find out where he's gone, it would be foolish to fight him yourselves. Though if anything turns up, do contact us on Shimr.” Binky turned to look at Fable. ”I'm not sure why you were running down the street, but I do think I would be in worse shape had you not shown up. So thank you for that.” She walked back towards the police station. ”Veronica, you'd better not have eaten all the donuts.”

Mary remained stationary. “If you had stayed in the diner, does that mean that the white princess would have been safe, but that green haired girl would have gotten hurt?” Ze looked into Fable's eyes for an answer.

At Mary's question, Fable detransformed back to his normal self, amber colored eyes returning to their humble brown. His grimore clicked back closed. "Frankly this felt like some stupid domino effect. But seeing as Doc was on a time limit? ...I'll be honest, there would not be that well of an outcome from either opposite side." He sighed, looking to Mary with a remorseful frown once more. "I won't ask for your forgiveness, but I will give you my thanks for assisting me, despite...yeah." He sheepishly glanced away.

“Well, hngh...” Mary fidgetted with zir hands before Danny shot up in the air. When this happened, Mary cast zir gaze to the side.

"What Mary is trying to say is that zi's sorry too! She was just having a bad day, and feels personally responsible for what happened to the violinist!" Mary walked closer to Fable so that Danny could rest on his shouler. "We won't rest untill she's back safe and sound!" He patted the back of Fable's head. "But all that said, throwing coffee is totally uncool!" The puppet pounded it's soft fists into the back of Fable's head. It felt more like a massage than a series of furious blows. "You've gotta take my mastress on a date or something now!"

To be honest, he didn't really react much to the puppet's blows. "Can't you even blame me though, you've led me to assume you'd kidnap me or some crap!" He shot the two an unamused look, before snapping his head back to Denny when the puppet suggested making it up with a date. "Wait what-"

Mary coughed, and Danny went limp. “I'm, ah, also glad you didn't let that whole thing bother you too much. Thank you for assisting with the opperation.” Zi looked back at Fable. “We should catch up with Elroy, hmm?”

The boy nodded when Mary thanked him. "It's no problem at all. Let's move."

Albedo @Lugubrious, Linkle @Gentlemanvaultboy

Once it was confirmed the other two would accompany them, Frisk went ahead and stepped outside, leaving the door open for Linkle and Albedo. They looked around for any sign of Treat, or anyone who could've harassed her. Nothing. How fast was she?? Maybe they could follow her footprints in the snow? The child glanced down to look. Their brows furrowed. It wasn't that Frisk didn't know what the bottom of the wolf girl's boots looked like, moreso any sign of bootprints were quickly covered up by others. A bit annoying, but maybe they can figure something out.

Their attempt to figure out a trail led them to the christmas tree next to Linkle. In their curiosity, they stopped and watched the peculiar girl search for a present. Perhaps for a peace treat-y? Frisk snickered to themselves at the pun that crossed their mind. But that does seem like a good idea. Maybe they could look for a gift too? As Linkle put her present up on her sled, they carefully searched for something they could give Treat too.

"Hm?" They lifted their head up, looking back to the skullgirl once she asked if they knew where Treat lived. Admittedly, they didn't. As far as they knew, the wolf girl only lived around the area. They only answered with a shrug, picking up a smaller gift box with a familiar shade of cyan. Luckly Albedo already had the answer for them. Treat lived on a mountain, huh? Frisk stood back up, setting their gift next to Linkle's, then nodded to Albedo.

Though before they did leave, Linkle wanted to stop by the motel for something. Frisk didn't know what, but they were cool with it. A moment of waiting passed, and as it turns out, she had grabbed a hat for Frisk so their ears wouldn't get too cold. They quietly looked over the snowcap, then tried it on. ...Huh. They didn't have a mirror nearby to check how they looked, but it is comfy. Frisk looked back to Linkle with a smile. "Thanks."

The child theirself made one more stop to a checkpoint, just in case anything happens while the trio was outside of town, then they were off.

...

..

Frisk quickly remembered why they kept to Snowdin for so long. The warm scenery that matched the town was snuffed out by a depressing, kinda creepy atmosphere of dead trees and...porcelain dolls? If the cold couldn't give them chills, this certainly would. They might not have watched much horror movies, but those dolls dangling in the trees didn't seem normal. They kept a close eye on them, and stayed close to their new friends. Their brows were furrowed again, in their attempts to ignore the creepyness around them.

The creepy trail was short and sweet, fortunately. Frisk let out a relieved huff, warming their hands as the trio went uphill. The child did have to carry their cyan present with them though. Not a problem for them. And eventually, they came across a gloomy manor by a waterfall. Gloomy, yet it still had a sense of beauty despite. Did Treat really live here? The trail of bootprints; the one Frisk was looking for before, confirmed it. This was the place.

The child took a deep breath, their stick in one hand, and the present under their arm. "Come on." They said, walking through the front gate, and to the front door.

Albedo @Lugubrious, Linkle @Gentlemanvaultboy

...They might've held the little corgi for a bit too long. After a moment had passed, Frisk released the dog from their embrace, and shuffled off of Albedo to where they were sitting besides him normally. "Eheh, sorry." They nervously chuckled. In all honesty, they weren't thinking of how close they had to be to the guy to hug the corgi, so they could've made him uncomfortable and not even know it. So it was probably a good thing he allowed it. Maybe it'd help warm him up faster. Or they could get Albedo his own sweater later if they earned enough money for the shopkeep, who knows?

The lady, Linkle, had introduced herself and Albedo to Frisk and Treat. The child turned their head back to her...and her rabbit ears that she apparently had. Okay. Maybe she was a monster. That or some weird hybrid. Curse maybe? The way she dismissed their attempt to compliment her eyes implied that she was under a curse of some kind, atleast to them. They quietly wondered. Could there be a way to undo the curse? Or atleast loosen it's hold on her for a while? Another thing to figure out later.

Frisk opened their mouth to introduce theirself next, and to explain that they've already been in Snowdin before. But they were interupted again when Treat freak out at the sight of Linkle's rabbit ears. The child prepared to stand up from their seat to calm the wolf girl down, but she fled before they got the chance. They quietly sighed, and plopped back down in their seat. Dang. Their attention went to Grillby, who explained the reason why Treat was so jumpy, and jumpy around anything that looked like a rabbit.

They frowned in remorse for the wolf girl. She was getting bullied, and they didn't see it?? Apparently no one else was able to convince the rabbit-residents of the town to leave her alone too! How would any of that be acceptable?! Frisk's remorseful frown turned angry, but more importantly, determined. If no one else could convince them to leave Treat alone, that was only cause they haven't met Frisk yet! Not willing to waste time any longer, the child got up from their seat and marched towards the front door.

They opened the door, prepared to step back into the cold. But there was one more thing they had to address. Frisk looked back to Linkle and Albedo, their expression softening slightly. "I'm Frisk." They introduced themselves. The child looked outside, then looked back to the two. "...You coming, or what?" Well, they did assume the duo had the same idea in mind. Might as well take the lead.

"Scholar Dude" @Lugubrious, "Red-Eyed Lady" @Gentlemanvaultboy

Frisk nodded as Scholar Dude grabbed his drink, their smile unfading. They weren't a mind reader of any kind, yet even as they were nothing short of a stranger to others, that never meant they shouldn't show kindness. Especially in a weird place like what's outside of Snowdin. The child wasn't aware of the Scholar Dude's full schedule thingy either, so if anyone was indeed scared, they'd probably be confused. He seems so quiet, like they are. What would be so scary about him? For goodness sake, the poor guy was probably cold as heck out there!

Frisk's attention was turned back to Red-Eyed Lady, their smile shifting to a curious expression with their mouth slightly open. She greeted them, then hesitated on what to refer to them as. They softly chuckled. They never said if they were a boy or a girl, did they? In their defense, no one thought to ask! They just were. And that's okay. Anyways, the lady asked if Frisk knew where Scholar Dude's pet dog was. "I-" Regardless of their answer, their attention turned back to Grillby, who answered for them.

Apparently Grillby asked someone named Treat to look after the little guy. A wolf girl, no less. Putting the irony aside, Frisk's attention went back to the Red-Eyed lady. "Uhm..." They spoke up, thinking of a way to break the ice.

...Nah, not the right set up for a pun. Or time for that matter.

"Your eyes are pretty cool." They said to her, albeit more focused on the skulls that acted as her pupils. That kinda is neat if they were honest. But they internally grimaced at the wording, even if it was just nothing. ...Actually, now that it's crossed their mind, why was Scholar Dude freezing, while Red-Eyed Lady looked okay? Did the former fell into a lake or something? Would make sense. Still, they should probably ask. If anything, Red-Eyed Lady could've pulled a prank on him that went wrong or something. Possibly a remorseful culprit. ...Well, they'll bring it up later, when Scholar Dude's fully recovered. Last thing they wanted was to be rude to possible friends. Once they heard the front door open, Frisk tilted their head to look at the girl that sprinted inside, dog in her arms. They've seen Treat around a few times in town, but she always seemed so nervous and sad, and they didn't want to scare her. That'd make them sad too! And then where would they be? The child gave her a reassuring smile, as to say that it was okay for her to be here. But the fluffy corgi in Treat's arms did most of the talking for them, once he saw his owner.

Frisk watched intently as Scholar Dude's Scholar Dog was passed to his lap. They remained quiet. More quiet than usual. Their blank stare was directed to the dog, and the dog alone. Must. Not. Pet. They must resist the urge to pet the Scholar Dog. He was not their dog, but...fluffy... Very fluffy. The child's small arms reached over to the corgi, petting him. After a moment, they shuffled closer and gently wrapped their arms around the good boy. They emitted a content hum.

"Good boy."

If they ended up with dog fur on their sweater, it was so worth it.

"Scholar Dude" @Lugubrious, "Red-Eyed Lady" @Gentlemanvaultboy

When Frisk first woke up, their first thought was that the timeline had been reset again. But that was both false hope, and a quick assumption. Once they were awake enough to focus, they noticed a few things. The child was looking up at clear skies instead of the hole that made up the Underground's usual entrance. They felt the ground beneath their body, but there were no golden flowers that could've broken their fall. They stood up. Closed eyes took a glance at their surroundings, trying to figure out where they ended up. This...wasn't the surface. Yeah, they were sure of it. Wherever Frisk was, it looked way too different than what they knew, felt too different.

The weird sun didn't help either.

Their trusty stick in hand, Frisk took a few hesitant steps forward with the intent to find anyone that could explain, and hopefully guide them through this weird place. Then it hit them. Their friends! Last thing they could remember was Flowey holding them all hostage, then they blacked out (atleast they think they did...) and ended up there. It was kinda terrifying to remember, but they had to be out there somewhere too! The child hardened their resolve. Once they figured things out, they'll look for their friends and find a way home! Preferably on the surface and not still stuck underground!

Some time had passed since then, and Frisk had learned a few things about this new world. Firstly, not everyone that resided there could be reasoned with. They had to learn that the hard way, nearly getting their butt kicked a few times with their refusal to fight. What helped secondly, was the fact that their ability to save was still available to them. Or atleast, some version of it. They stopped at one of the golden stars at some point, and though it did save their progress, it didn't heal them. Odd. Stranger was that in a desperate attempt to reload to avoid dying, they ended up back at the "save" point, with no further changes in their condition. Was this even a save point anymore? Nah. But Frisk kept note of this, hoping it'll still prove useful. And y'know what? It did! The little exploit got them out of a lot of close calls in their search.

Though the most important find to them was the fact that Snowdin itself somehow made it to this place too! The town being out of the Underground was both weird and great at the same time, but this was also a good sign. This meant their friends were okay! ...Well, somewhat. There was no sign of the skeleton brothers for example, but some monsters like Grillby still populated the small town among others they've never seen before, both human and monster.

One example was that one soft-spoken scholar dude with the funny hair. At least Frisk thought he was. He did look smart. For how long the child was staying in Snowdin, they sometimes saw him around doing stuff that looked like research. But they never bothered him. He always seemed busy anyways. Atleast, until most recently. Frisk noticed that the scholar dude was accompanied by a strange red-eyed lady. They couldn't tell if she was some weirdly scary human, or a monster too.

Did it even matter? Regardless of their question, her appearance was a bit unnerving. At least she seems like a nice lady! They left for a bit, and Frisk went on with their day, helping out the other residents or figuring out a way they could defend themselves outside of town without lethal force. They eventually decided to rest at Grillby's, waving to the titular owner as they stepped inside and sat down at their usual spot by the bar.

...Wait, they didn't have any gold on them, did they?

Frisk furrowed their brows as they checked their pockets. Nothing. With a quiet sigh, they looked back towards the sharply dressed elemental. "Maybe next time." They said. They'll probably get some fries later. Besides if they ended up concidering a tab, they didn't want to accidentally overuse it. Frisk idly chatted with one of the other regulars, when their attention was turned to Scholar Dude and the Red-Eyed Lady rushing to get inside. Guess they got too cold out there? Or atleast Scholar Dude did, from what the child could tell. They slightly frowned in concern. Maybe they could help?

When Grillby was done with Scholar Dude's hot cocoa, Frisk offered to carry the drink to him. Once the fire elemental allowed them, they carefully grabbed the hot beverage, trying not to spill any of it onto the floor. They walked over to Scholar Dude's booth, and handed the drink over to him. "...Here you go, sir." Frisk said, giving him a polite smile. While it probably didn't look like it, they kept an eye on Red-Eyed Lady as well. Though it wasn't out of suspicion. Something felt...off about her, aside from her intimidating look. Maybe they should stick around for a bit?

"Bingo."
Current Location: Richter Street

With the not-yet Crab Rave stalled for now, that gave Fable more time to figure out his next move. Not to mention give the rest a bit of breathing room. He watched as they fought, waiting to see if he needed to help any further. It was almost interesting, seeing how others fought. Though as curious as he was becoming, this wasn't the right time. There was one behemoth remaining.

The last Crab Rave collapsed easily against the jovial rockstar, and finally, the source of the hivemind and it's tiny ukulele were revealed. Fable grinned, he knew it was hiding in there somewhere! But that triumphant feeling wouldn't last. The abnormal crab was calling reinforcements. It would only be a matter of time before their efforts were in vain. The boy overheard the Doctor's question to Elroy. So they were on a time limit, huh?

Six seconds.

Fable started to run towards the instigator. As his running broke into a sprint, lightning arched through his legs, making him faster, and hopefully fast enough. Once he was at a certain distance, he readied his weapon to finish the blue crab off with a stab dead in the middle of it's body.

Well, they did try walking through. They just didn't think of the timing. Soon as Finn took a step in, he was forced back by the four-eyed annoyance, and who he assumed was Sally trailing behind her. Oliver helped yank him back before he could be trampled or something. While the ghost didn't react much, Finn looked irritated. Great, now Beacon's claiming this case? Not on his watch! He shot an annoyed glare at Rachel. "Kinda late to the party aint'cha?! We've already started searching!" He yelled over to them. He was tempted to add the fact that Sally was a suspect...but nah, Rachel would deny it in a heartbeat.

Speaking of, Oliver watched as she confronted Dan about their predicament. Dan was giving up on the bet? Hm. How spineless. Then again things have already gone down the rabbit hole, might as well go deeper- Hold that thought, was Rachel hesitating?? Such a sight left the boys confused, but atleast it bought them time.

Now they didn't know who Alicia was, but the title she was addressed as gave them enough of a hint.

"Think she's light magic?" Finn asked Oliver. As much as a light specialist would help, even more if they can analyze traces of magic with a Third Eye, he'd rather work with someone...less biased.

"Probably." Oliver shrugged. Before he said any more, Finn shushed him. They were interrogating Sally. Back of the lodge, figure in the trees, possible footprint. An important suspect might still be in the dimension!

They nodded to each other, and Oliver sent out a few clones (plus the one charged with guarding the scene, too late for that,) to search the back of the lodge.
