"Spitfire is a good name. It lets people know what's in store if they try to mess with him. It's almost as good as naming him Tiny, but maybe that name works a different way. I know it always made me not want to meet someone if their called Tiny. Maybe it's just me?"

"Yeah" Almond said stretching out on the ground. "I'll be fine, eventually, in a little bit, hopefully. Ugh. It's this adrenaline. How did the trainers do it in show/ game? I'm more exhausted than Walnut! Which is weird because Walnut did everything. I mean, not everything but I didn't do anything, but panic." He sighed and scratched the top of his head. "But everyone is okay. Let's focus on that. Uh. Everyone will be okay after a breather. I'll just breath for a moment."

"Okay. Good. I was scared I was just seeing things." He frowned as he got to his feet. "Well I guess there's no reason why we shouldn't go through it. I mean, its on the way right?" He motioned with his hand and started walking towards the portal that would lead them into the dark woods. "The sooner we go the quicker we'll get out."
"You, you don't young lady." The man said, doing his best to sound cheerful despite something apparently being on his mind. "These summer storms can get bad and if my aching knee is any judge, and its always been the best around these parts, this storm here is going to be a doozy." They reached the cabin the stranger opened the door. Inside was small but cozy. There was a strong fire going in a fire place at the north end of the room. "Take a seat. I'll get you two some tea."

"Thank you sir." Jim said, choosing the second nearest love seat to the door. He sank down into it and the little mareep quickly bounced on his lap and curled up.
"Yeah, I guess." Jim looked down at the mareep. It was pressing hard enough against his leg to nearly knock him over, purring. "But its a bit creepy being the center of so much attention. Do you think its going to bite me?" Gingerly he touched the pokemon to see if it was still real. It was. When Rae touched the mareep it gave her a look but smiled as her hand touched it soft head.

The man nodded. "Well, its a good thing neither of you are hurt. It's always annoying to find some people trespassing but I wouldn't like any of them harmed because of it." He motioned towards. He pointed at a small cabin a few yards away. "Why don't you two come on in so we can talk. Looks like there's a storm coming."
"Ssss." Abigail winced as the man hit his head. She hadn't planned on that. She was going to force a lifesaver up his legs till his arms were bound in rubber safeness. Oh well, unless. Looking around to see if she was being watched the red pirate did just that and kicked the man over. She watched him as he hit the water with a splash. "Kind of messed up I know, but you started it. Let nobody say Abigail the double Lotus Pirate attacks first! Turn the other cheek my tender rump!"

Was there more to say on the subject? The sea may never know because before she could continue the captain of the attacking ship started yelling at his crew, informing them of a better strategy of attack. "Well, god damn I hate a confident foe." Without waiting for another word Abigail started powering up her left hand. It was her favorite hand. Shame she couldn't use it for both sword fighting and lightning blasting. Now that would be the life. As the balled fist started to glow the redhead charged forwards as fast as she could up the bow and leaped at the crest.

Being airborne wasn't difficult. She was new to it, but it was easy enough to handle. Once you got started it was only a matter of letting momentum carry you forwards. Landings were new to Abigail too, on account of a nearly complete absence of being airborne in her life, but it wasn't easy. She did it, technically. Her feet touched the ground but failed to stay under her so she slipped and rolled until she crashed into the legs of one of the pirates legs as he was getting up to aim his rifle.

"Well" Almond said as he let his legs fold up underneath him. "That was a close one. I came this close to a heart attack. Which may or may not have worked. Hopefully it would've confused the growlith enough to make it run away. Luckily though you caught him and I didn't have to play the hero." He shuddered at the thought. "Oh god I'm not build for heroics. I'm built for lounging and mass aborbtion, period." He turned his attention to Walnut, smiling, gave the green pokemon a friendly pat. "You did go Walnut. You did good. I'm glad one of us is ready to save the universe." Again, that strange vacant look, but at least the bulbasaur's mouth was turned up at a slight smile.

"Tsunami is a good name. It reminds me of this harem anime I used to watch. I think the character was a goddess or some future version of a child, something along those lines. What're you going to name your growlith?" Almond got to his feet and stretched. HIs back popped. "Ouch." He made a face like someone who just licked lemmon juice mixed with mustard and enough salt to kill a snail army. "Oh god ouch." He shook his head and looked around. "Hey, do you see that over there, or it just me?"

He pointed in the distance where what looked like the entrance to a forest waited.
"Not anyone's property!" The old man said, his faded blue eyes darted from one of the trespassers to another. "Young lady there are fences and signs everywhere. How could it be anything but someone else's property?" He put his hands on his hips and shook his head. "Well whatever the reason you two are here, we'll get to later. Are either of you hurt? That's what needs to be focused on."

"I'm okay." JIm said getting to his feet, Mareep snuggling at his leg. "This little lady looks good to know." Jim turned to Rae. "How about you Rae? Everything alright? You still got the same amount of holes that you came into the world with?"
Alrighty. @PandaBrady Well I start working on a CS so when this gets off the ground I'll have one ready.
Almond was just about ready to jump into fray. He had a thing for animals and couldn't stand to see them fighting one another. It was like whenever his dogs went at it. He'd be right in the middle pulling them apart. Of course, this was slightly different as getting in the middle would mean burns or worst. Still he had to do something. "Alright Walnut. Back off. His attention is going to focus on you now!" Which sure enough was the case as the dog pokemon moved back after the successful attack to start throwing his burning embers at the grass type pokemon.

"Okay Walnut. It's okay. Don't worry about attack. Just run in circles. Eventually you'll give your chum a chance to attack. Just keep him busy." He stopped and blinked when he heard Haruki call over to him. "Oh yeah! That's a good idea. A few more tackles and he should be good to go. You want him or should I have a go?"
This looks like fun, but I"m a bit confused. Is it the Interest check that needs to be posted to or this IC?
While Zypha piloted their ship, Abigail stood by her side, arms crossed, watching their voyage towards the attacking ship. Her dark eyes watched at the cannonballs fell harmlessly into the water around them, at least most of them fell harmlessly into the water around them. There was a third one, and it hit. "Ooo...ouch." Abigail winces at the sight of the new damage on their ship. "That's not going to be cheap to repair, you know?"

No sooner had she spoken than their ship smashed into the attacking vessel. "Wow! This thing can really move when it wants to." There was a clatter on the other ship as commands were made and people started rushing on to twin lotus's ship. "Damn1 Everyone wants a piece of us." Abigail reached for her sword but it was too late, there was already a soldier swinging his sword at her chest.

This wasn't a new situation to the redheaded pirate. She'd experienced it a few times in the past few days and had a pretty good idea how to handle it. She pulled her body back so the blade's tip merely cut cloth and then lunged forward. She grabbed the attacking pirate's arm and held it there while she closed the rest of the distance. She snaked her leg around the man's and then pushed him back, hoping he'd trip and land on his back.
