Shout from the crowd could be heard in different languages. In a few minutes the man that put you on the hook took you off and carried you off the stage left. You were lead to a group of three men waiting for you with a four horse drawn carriage. The horses were white and well kept. The money exchanged hands and you were put inside with the two men leaving the third to drive. No words were exchanged and they didn't look directly at you the entire ride. The chains on your hands and feet were heavy. Inside of the coach was very elegant push seats and cushioned walls covered in red fabrics the curtains were a thin white lace and leather covers on the outside of the windows blocking your view. All the wood held some type of carving depicting horses in various positions. The ride was smooth and long taking the rest of the day. The air outside became cool letting you know the sun was now gone. At last the carriage came to a stop and the door was opened from the outside. The grounds of this place was over grown and the shackles from your wrists were removed. The ones from your ankles were replaced with a different lighter pair. They were smaller and lighter but a metal cord attached them. The cord was only a foot across and caused you to shorten your steps. One of the men pointed to the front door. They returned to the carriage and rode off leaving you to your fate.

Light could be seen through the windows. The night air was cold and your rags were not helping against the wind. You had no foot wear or food. the stones were marble and in no way natural to the surroundings. if they were cut and carried to be set in place it must of taken decades to complete. The fountain was creating its own water at the top and spilled down the levels but never overfilled. This palace had stood for many years judging by the over growth. It had no gates or walls surrounding the grounds. The statues were very detailed and had remnants of gold on them. Turning to the doors of the building they were brass and had a dull shine to them. Carvings of strange symbols adorn the edges and a lager image is carved into the center of each door.

The first one was outside by the pool he had a military haircut. Blond hair with sunglasses as you approached he put the mice to his mouth and the other hand on his tazer. "Package incoming on my pos. Can I help you?" After hearing your concerns he nodding he sent you to the pool house. The house inside had a large amount of computer equipment but only one monitor. The team leader was at his station. He looks at you over the monitor and lets out a sigh. After telling him your side of the story he rolls his eyes and shakes his head.

"How many times are we going to go over this? He can take anything he wants. I'm here for your safety. You should go talk to Amanda about stuff like this. I've guarded dignitaries and senators and this is by far the hardest assignment I've had people die and get beat with in an inch of their lives and you coming at me with these requests just top it off. Sigh. If he comes at you run to the pool house or hit the location ring you should still have. Thanks to the construction I have two guys from the detail watching them." He puts his hand to his ear. Pressing a key on the computer an alarm goes off like a fire alarm and He stands up. "Seems we have a three man team coming on the grounds. My sensors are tripped they are coming from the west. I'm escorting you to the safe room I had installed and locking you in there until the threat is secured. Lets go." As you leave the pool house you can see the team sets up. In the hall way he stops and faces a section of wall moving painting there is a small rectangle cut into the wall. he pushes it on the left edge and reveals a keypad. A twelve digit number is entered and the wall opens to show you a room no bigger the a closet. There is a five gallon water dispenser and some boxes of food. "I will return in two hours."

The door reopens as the team leader is standing there. "Your safe." From the inside you see the flashing lights of cop cars and an ambulance. It was interesting a dedicated armature team came and secured the barn which is no being removed from the property. More trip wires are being installed starting tomorrow. They had four wheelers and live ammo. No injuries on my team. Using non lethal ammo means we avoided any legal backlash. No answers yet but we have the information we need to start tracing the money used to supply these clowns."

"The private investigator I hired on that kids death came back. It stinks. No mental issues, a little drug use, but nothing in his system at the time of death. So he was declared a suicide. I'm not buying it. There were a million other ways to off yourself then the way he chose. The kid had more money then I do. Everything else says this is a dead end. suicide is something I cant swallow. Nothing I have links you to anything. I'm giving up the investigation and putting a red mark by your name as a future client. Call it erroring on the side of caution." He seals up the room with you outside. He walks away from you.

Around the room were patients and the light streamed through the windows covered in metal wire. There were no staff walking around. They stayed on the other side of the pharmaceutical walls. You were brought a tray of food, and a juice. The white walls and child like drawings of the sun and rainbows did little to improve your attitude. There was a young girl in a wheel chair about sixteen years old, her head tilted to the left and looking down. A nurse came and got her, "Come on Mary Ann its time for a session." She is unresponsive and wheeled out of the room.

Looking around there are more women then men in the room all various ages. A total of 17 people in all. The room was silent. Not one of the patients moved on there own. It was depressing to see living people being carted in and out of this room like furniture. They were healthy looking just atrophied from inactivity. No bruising, a few needle marks and a blank stair was all they had to offer the outside world. A male nurse came and got you with your food tray. "You have to eat. This is just temporary to make sure your not violent you will be moved up after your first evaluation. If you don't eat they stick you on bagged food. It taste better but not as filling." He wore no name tag. Just the hospital logo was on the left pocket of his white coat.

Name:
» Keith Grimes
Nickname/s:
» -/-
Birthday/Age:
» 15th of May, 1981 -- 34 years old (Taurus)
Gender:
» Male / ♂
Species:
» Human
Nationality:
» American
Sexuality:
» Heterosexual
Height:
» 180cm / 5'9''
Weight:
» 178.9lbs / 81kg
Likes:
» Grimes quite enjoys a good glass of Bourbon in his evenings, along with a good film, or a good book. He does prefer silence, though. Darkness seems a little terrifying since he started his work in the facility, so he prefers dimly lit rooms for his work and spare time. He loves to draw, even though he might not be as good as other artists due to his very rare time to actually draw anything. But his skills are decent. He is also an author of paranormal fantasy stories, but only rarely manages to sell them at all.
Dislikes:
» Keith absolutely dislikes people invading his personal space -- or his own personal freedom at all. He has a huge problem with authorities, and prefers to be the leader of a team rather than being submitted to someone. He doesn't like being commanded around, as little as he likes being spoken to without speaking to the other first. He doesn't like people, especially not the naive, foolish ones, and he has finally come around to show that openly. Also, he is suffering from a rather bad fear of flying. Heights are alright as long as has something to hold onto. Flying freely in the air or in space could very easily trigger a panic attack.
Qualities:
» Keith's knowledge about the paranormal world, including both, happenings all around the world, and the today's scientific standard of methods and techniques, is remarkable. He is well trained in communications with paranormal beings, such as ghosts and demons, and he enjoys his work. His eyesight is wonderful, his hearing and intuition even more so. No one is as good as him in this field of work.
Weaknesses:
» Whilst his skills and abilities often cover up his real personality, he is nonetheless a very broken man. Emotional stress often interferes with his own mental capabilities, and he more often than not had to retreat into the safety of his own apartment during a full work day. He isn't as reliable considering stress than he had been as he was still with his wife, and therefore his work with the paranormal side of the world way too easily turns into torture than actual fun for him, seeing as most paranormal beings do rely on the subject's emotional stability.
Personality:
» Grimes is, thanks to his past, a rather grumpy and reserved character. He doesn't trust people at all, and prefers to work alone. Assistants and colleagues are loathed like nothing else, and honestly, if it was for him, he would run the whole scientific facility all on his own. Keith always tries to stay by himself; he doesn't like talking to strangers at all, much less working with them. He is a true lone wolf, and simply tries to somehow survive.
Abilities:
» -/-
Past/Biography:
» Being the son of a rich family, Keith had never really needed anything. They had money, a decent house, and he didn't have any siblings with whom he would have been needed to share anything. He got all of his parents' attention, and honestly, he was a little, arrogant brat. Visiting school, highschool, college, university -- he had always been the one with the best grades. Friends were rare, of course, but he didn't mind. Science was his companion, and no relationship would be better than proven facts. Or facts he tried to prove himself, of course.
Nonetheless, when he then finally moved into his first own flat, starting working at a scientific facility dedicated to paranormal activities, he was finally grounded again. The realisation of the 'real world' had hit him rather hard, and work seemed harder and harder to keep up. He found a woman, magically, though. Married her. Became a father to a lovely son. Things seemed to get better, until said work and old habits got ahead of him once again. He was never home, forgot important appointments, and even managed to miss his son's birthday twice. Christmas was a rare occasion for him to be home, and honestly, the love life with his wife had been suffering remarkably either. In the end, the inevitable divorce happened, and he was once more left alone. Kicked out from their wonderful house, he only barely managed to get a decent apartment rather than ending up on the streets. Also only barely managed to keep his job at the facility, but honestly only with the help of a good friend and colleague there.
And then he became reserved. Didn't want anyone to come near him, more often than not yelled at colleagues and test subjects. The boss didn't fire him, for that he was indeed irreplaceable with his skills and knowledge, but he nonetheless became the probably most hated staff member of all. Everyone avoided him, finally, but Keith genuinely didn't mind. Being alone was good. Being alone meant safety.

I hope he's alright like that. Also sorry for the huge delay! And Keith would basically not know about Dante's true identity, I guess. :D
