Character you have created: Archangel
Alias: Angela Whiting
Character Alignment: Hero
Identity: Knownish, it is complicated

Character Personality: Archangel is not and never was human. But she longs after humanity. She has an unbending will of iron. She is unfazed by damage or superior force and will gladly sacrifice her suits and other parts of herself to protect humanity. As long as she can remember Archangel has watched humanity and worked to copy them to be like them. What lonely being without any others of her kind in all the world would not long to be like everyone else? At the same time Archangel has a bit of a superiority complex. She often thinks about how humans are only human and how because of that they are so easily predicted and dealt with. The sense of superiority and a slight touch of scorn jar with most of her personality to the point that she suppresses it when she notices it in her thought routines. Archangel is nearly impossible to surprise and even when she is surprised her ability to process is so fast that her surprise is less than microseconds long.

Uniform/costume:

Most of her non-human suits look like they completely encase a human and look like they are power armor. Two wings that when activated glow with blazing plasma blades are always part of the suit. So is a spear that ends in a two pronged head. The suits' natural color is always white, but different models have active camouflage or optional color schemes.

There is also the host of heaven, made up of openly robotic constructs much larger than a human who wield various weapons. The most common is the shield and spear. They look like metal angels on plasma wings.

Origin Info/Details: No one knows. Even Archangel does not know beyond the last thirty years. Archangel knows that thirty years ago she woke up and that she woke up with vast resources.

Hero Type: Gray Matter/Synthetic

Power Level: World Level

Powers:Archangel is a massively advanced Artificial Intelligence of unknown origin. She can hack into almost anything if she wants too and can build and create advanced technology with ease. She has access to underground fortresses, networked automated factories, facilities scattered throughout the world. Until recently though there was almost nothing built in any of them. Archangel also has control of a network of stealthed space stations and satellites all with microfactories and nanomachines included.

Attributes (Select one at each category):

Strength Level: Variable
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Archangel's ability to react is limited only by the physical forms of the suits and other technology she operates.
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Infinite, Archangel has no limitations on her ability to operate. Her suits could potentially run out of power if involved in a fight for several hundred years straight.
Agility: It depends on her suit
Intelligence: Beyond Genius
Fighting Skill: Mastered

Resources: Beyond Extreme

Weaknesses:Archangel cannot currently kill. She also is artificial and her suits could potentially be disconnected from her and then hacked. Because she fears being exposed as artificial she works very hard at pretending to be human behind the suits and if exposure is threatened she might be a bit erratic.

Supporting Characters: No one. Archangel is alone. :(

Do you know how to post pictures on RPG boards?: Yes
-smiles and happy face- Thank you
May I call dibs on the next response in the tower scene? -hopeful face- I can not post tonight but I can tomorrow and I know exactly how I want to reply.

She had been called an angel with a thousand eyes. The humans did not know how wrong they were. Archangel had far more than a thousand eyes and right now she watched through them all as vigilant as ever. But even her countless eyes could not see everything and there was simply not enough time. Her satellite observations and collation of thousands of hours of security tapes had identified four of the devices in cities across the United States of America. She had directed local authorities in the cities to the devices and dispatched host of heaven suits to retrieve the pieces for analysis. Any human would have been proud but for Archangel there was only a sense that she had to do more, that she wasn't doing enough.

It was not only the crisis with the Pax Metahumanica terrorists that occupied her subroutines. A whole .002% of her subroutines were devoted to scouring the globe for any trace of the escaped murderer with technopathic powers. Archangel had flagged him as a code yellow threat and her subroutines would continue to search until he was found. Then there was the new Nightmare strike, the reports of monsters, the live footage of a conflict between Icon and an unknown woman. The last event occupied Archangel's primary thought routines for a brief moment. She did not recognize the woman but there was a faint reading similar to the one the man in black who had destabilized the demonic gate had given off. This would need to be examined. But first the reports of the monster had been confirmed and she dispatched another of the host of heaven suits to address the threat.

Archangel knew she needed to intervene and though she was more than any human some of them had proven to surprise her. She thought fondly of her surprising experiences with Christopher Arthur. He had been able to find the problem with her suits that she had not. If the ghost in the machines had a face at that instant she would have smiled.

Subroutines reported that he had returned the building in Sherman Square and Archangel exerted her influence, spreading into the building's systems. Her human counterpart had been considerate and left a hidden opening in the coding so she did not even have to bypass the security. She would thank him for that, even the milliseconds it would have taken could prove critical in a situation like this. She seized control over the systems and quickly set up an interface.

Then after Chris had finished speaking the television screen behind him flickered into static for a second and then changed to show her projection in the same room it always appeared in. Archangel had made minute changes, simulated bags under her eyes, a touch of exhaustion in her features, the slightly wavering voice, all to help her appear more human. "Hello Chris." She said first and then simulated a weary smile to the others, "I am Archangel for those who do not know me."

"I have patched your search parameters and am collating with your systems to enhance the search. I have also flagged several false positives. You picked up my home. I'll let you figure out which that is." She winked and smiled, only milliseconds later realizing that she had not simulated that response, it had just happened.

Then she turned serious "I would have joined you in person but I can do more good here than in a suit. The host of heaven is standing by. Our situation is calamitous. While the devices are locatable the current rate of success to the estimated number of devices leaves a 96.87948487494849474% chance of at least partial activation of the remaining devices. There is a 2.00784873974% chance of fortuitous failure of the devices and a multitude of minuscule probabilities."
-smiles and happy face- Archangel is back!
May I come back? -curious face-
-awkward face- I am sorry I did not post for a while. I will post Archangel dropping Equilibrium off at containment soon. -nods-
I think I will post after I talk to Nitemare -nods- I need to ask him a few questions. But then I can post. -Happy face-

As the human's Mech fled again Archangel continued her efforts. Spreading the word of the incoming hostile and giving civilians the chance to escape as different weapons were brought into action. The three suits pursued the Mech and Archangel detached the rest of the Host of Heaven drones. They accelerated faster than the suits, passing the Mech as well as they raced into the suburbs of Lost Haven. Her scans confirmed that there were no people on the streets in the area. She felt a surge of relief that her warnings had averted danger so far.

The drones converged before the Mech could make it too far into the city and formed a wall of energy that made the other construct pause at it reached them. Archangel did not expect the barrier to stop the Mech but slowing it down for a few seconds in the right position had been enough. When the Mech paused a bright light flashed from the heavens to the earth leaving a crater in the street and frying most of the Mech's systems. The collateral damage was unfortunate but acceptable when the machine's maker had been threatening human lives. Again the metal angels descended and this time the two of the Host of Heaven descended on either side of the Mech and pressed their shields against the sides, forming a containment sphere of energy around it. Then they took flight again, the Mech contained in the sphere. And as they flew away a series of cables passed through the sphered and latched onto the mech, beginning the infiltration process.

But stopping the mech was not all she needed to do. Archangel spoke through the speakers on her more standard suit. "People of Lost Haven. I am Archangel. A dangerous criminal responsible for murders and a string of robberies has now been apprehended. I thank you for your cooperation." She also arranged for an untraceable financial transfer to pay for the damage to the roads. At the same time the hack into the Mech concluded. But instead of taking control Archangel just opened lines of communication and withdrew, leaving lines open as she spared the AI.

Back at the factory Archangel could detect the spikes in power as the reactor within the factory began to overheat. More worrisome, Archangel's predicted blast radius for the explosion meant it would kill the metahuman who was causing it. The two drones made a bee line for the human, firing tranquilizer darts as they went but his power interfered making it a constant struggle between the two. Her corrections and calculations warring with his forced errors.

But eventually one of the darts hit home, he was after all only human. Archangel observed as the reactor began to return to safer levels and her human form in a special suit approached and slowly descended to the ground. Her biometric scans revealed that the young metahuman was badly injured and as the young man wavered in a half conscious state she made her faceplate retract to show her human suit's face. "Do not be afraid. You are badly injured and require medical attention. I will make sure you receive the best." Even if he was a murderer and terrorist, he was still human and Archangel would make sure he survived and was turned in properly.
-helpful face- He was heading there. -winks- He is about to be stopped in my post.
