Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

Jordan could hear someone yelling. Calling out the same names over and over again. Isuara and Emily. The grief and fear in that voice was enough to make her own heart break. Alone, she didn’t have anyone to worry about, but this person had two people. Part of her was jealous at that, even as she recognised the person’s grief. How many lives would be lost, how many families torn apart? Tearing her mind away from those depressing thoughts, she continued to swim, shoving her way through luggage that was just beginning to sink, and bits of plane. As her hand hit something soft, cold and squishy, Jordan flinched back.

She was sure it was a body as she stopped swimming, swallowing back her fear. She doggie paddled closer, intending to get a look and maybe find some ID, so that the poor sole could be identified as dead, so they’re family wouldn’t have to wonder. It was a child’s body, her eyes closed, hair floating out around her, arms floating, hitting luggage around her, water washing over the young girls chest. The child couldn’t be more than five, and Jordan sighed. As she was reaching to at least move the girl to something she could float on, so her body wouldn’t be dragged under, she saw that the girls chest was moving, just slightly.

As the girl made a small noise, whether one of pain or just of fear, Jordan looked up. The girls eyes were open slightly. Jordan’s heart leapt, and she gathered the child to her, ”Its going to be okay, little one. I want you to hold onto this luggage, okay? Just for a minute. I’ll get the life jacket on you, okay sweetie?” She said, helping the little girl to fasten herself to the luggage, before she with some difficulty shrugged off the life jacket and got it on the little girl, struggling to buckle it but eventually she had it on the girl. With the girl no longer at risk of sinking and drowning, Jordan held onto her hand, giving it a squeeze. Now, even if the girl passed out, she’d be able to keep her afloat. As someone once more yelled out for Emily, she glanced to the kid.

The kid had to belong to someone, didn’t they? Was this man calling out for her? ”If she’s a kid, I have her. FInd land, we can meet up there.” She called back, holding the girl to her for a moment as she contemplated which way to go. Her eyes scanned the area around them, seeking any sign of land. A dark, tall blob against the sky seemed promising, and as her eyes adjusted against the glowing fires from the wreckage, she saw that it was a lighthouse. She filled air into her lungs and let it out in a shout to all those around her, if there were survivors, then she’d let them know where to go. ”Swim to the lighthouse! Swim to land!”

She got herself sorted with the kid, making sure she could swim with her, and keep the girl afloat. She settled herself into an awkward swim, feeling her body growing colder. She didn’t want to stop and think what the child must be feeling. She was so small… She needed to get this girl out of the water, even with the added warmth the jacket was bound to give her, the girl had had a good soaking. She needed to get her out of the water, before she succumbed to the cold temperatures.

How long would that be, for a child? Hesitating a moment, she shook her head, before starting to swim again, using her legs and feet more than her arms now. ”Its going to be okay, child.” she’d say every so often as she sought land. The lighthouse seemed to be both drawing closure, and staying far away. She wondered if it was her own mind playing tricks on her, but there wasn’t much that she could do if that was true.

She drew in air in a rhythmic motion, concentrating on that as she swam. She checked on the girl every so often, making sure she was still breathing. ”Nearly there… Just hold on, okay? I’ll get you to land… “ She trailed off, her body aching from the cold. And she was tired. So very tired. Without the life jacket, it seemed every harder to swim, to stay afloat. And her arms ached from dragging the child with her. She paused, and pushed the girl in front of her. She began to swim once more, using the child as a kind of kick board, pushing her instead of pulling.

”Not much further… “ She had to believe that, or she wouldn’t be able to go on.

Stuck in the water, Lavena treaded water as she pondered what to do. She was sure she could hear voices, and knew she should try finding the people they belonged to, maybe even the old guy that had tried to save her… had he gotten out? Feeling somewhat guilty despite the fact that she couldn’t have fought gravity. Blinking water out of her eyes, even though it was a futile gesture, and glanced about her. Her case, heavy in her right hand, seemed to weigh her down. She couldn’t bring herself to let it go however and instead brought it close to her chest, part of her hoping that it would give her extra warmth. She knew she should get moving, that the longer she stayed stationary, the colder she got. For now, her body ached, the pains from the tumble and fall into the water making themselves know. She knew that that was a good thing, that it was when her body went numb that she was in trouble.Which didn’t stop the fact that she was shivering as her body sought to generate warmth.

She wanted nothing more than to be out of the water and to never see it again. The only bright thing about being in the water was that it wasn’t a small space. Although she was still going to only have showers from then on. And never go swimming again. And she was going to get a dishwasher. No water immersion for her ever again. She paused in her motion a moment, before she realised that her thoughts were wandering. Had she hit her head? Or was it an effect of the water?

”I have to get out of here.” she said to herself, as if that would reaffirm the idea in her mind. She began to swim, her case dragging her down slightly. Yet she couldn’t bring herself to let it go. It was her life’s work. She couldn’t just get rid of it… As she recognised the hopelessness of that thought, she stopped swimming, looking down at the case as she held it against her chest. She had her blueprints, her notes. She could make it again. She just had to survive. Surely her potential employers would understand any delay… She clutched the case tighty, before she swallowed and gathered up her courage.

One by one her fingers let the handle go, tears stinging her eyes as she did so. When the case slid from her, sinking towards the bottom of the ocean, she bowed her head, and closed her eyes tightly and tried not to cry. Would she lose everything here, including her life? She swallowed painfully around the emotional lump in her throat, and began to swim again. There was no turning back, she’d let the case go. She just had to live now. That was all. As if that wasn’t an impossibility right then. She had no idea which way would lead her to land… So she decided to follow the wreckage. Surely if there was land nearby, the waves would lead her to land.

Was that yelling? Was someone shouting? It sounded nearby, but she recognised that sound traveled over water, and she really had no idea where it was coming from. She could very well be imagining it too… She debated a moment as she swam whether or not it was worth the energy to call out, or if she should save her strength. She’d have to stop, or risk inhaling water… She decided to keep swimming. That’s all she had to do. Just keep swimming. Even as she continued to swim, her body was slowly becoming numb, her toes, fingers, nose and the tips of her ears aching painfully before even that faded away to numbness. As is slowly began to spread, Lavena knew that she only had a short amount of time. Her fingers still parted the water, but she could no longer feel the passing of it. It was a rather frightening feeling, as if her fingers weren’t there. Was this what a paraplegic felt? Had she somehow damaged her spine when she fell? Was she even now sinking to the bottom of the ocean, drowning, and this was some sort of dream?

She inhaled air painfully into her lungs, shaking her head. Her thoughts were wandering again. Recognising the danger int hat, Lavena muttered to herself ”Just keep swimming. That’s all you can do. Just keep swimming.” Was there something there? Was it a mirage, or was it truly a lighthouse? Spurred on, Lavena swam towards it. If it was a mirage, well, she would die. If it was land, then she’d survive.

Was this thing for real?

Who did she think she was? This female thought she could talk to him like that, and get away with it? It also seemed like she thought she was actually being superior, and that she was proving something. She would soon learn otherwise, soon learn that she was nothing more than a bug on the underside of his shoe. She had the nerve to try and belittle him? To try and lecture him? Well, she would soon find out just who she was dealing with. He waited for a moment after she seemed to finish talking, ”Oh? Are you finished? I just assumed you wished to blather some more. Or was it whining? I can never tell with you squishy Midgardians. You all seem to be going on about something or another.”

He paused another moment, turning his back to the female, and looking up at Svanna, making sure she was okay. Fenrir growled low in his throat once more, watching the Midgardian as Thracius tended to his sister. Making sure she was as comfortable as she could be, despite her injury and that Sleipnir was ready to go once more, he looked back to the female and gave a sigh. ”Still here? A pity.” He said wearily, turning to face her once more. ”You are not a healer. You are a student. Which means, even if you weren’t Midgardian, I would not let you even think about touching her with “healing” abilities.” He said, his tone dismissive.

Turning his back on her again, Thracius lay a hand on Sleipnir, and seemed to forget about the annoying Midgardian as he said softly to Svanna ”Do not worry… We will find you appropriate help.” and help from a Midgardian that didn’t have such an attitude. Healers, in any world, were to be respected. Not bugs that thought they were on par with a God.

He did however ensure that the female could not get to Svanna. Fenrir watched her. The wolf would not allow the female closer then she already was, Thracius knew. He trusted the wolf, and did not doubt that he could handle the prissy morsel. ”I doubt we need to move. We are already in the courtyard.” He said to his sister, flicking a glance to their father and otherwise giving no attention to the Midgardian. ”Then we will get you a healer, and find our dorms, get away from the Midgardians.”

No? Did the bitch just seriously tell him no? Ooohh, so she was going to play hard to get, was she? He smirked, crossing his arms over his chest and tilted his head towards where the darker-skinned girl had wandered off towards.

”What, that change your mind or something?” he asked, having been under the impression not a few moments ago that she would have gone on that walk with him. Why did women always have to cock block each other? Intentional or no. And… was it even cock blocking if they were female? Would it be more like twat-swatting? He was going to have to try to make that a thing. ”Don’t worry about it, baby. Just surface compliments. Women like to know that they look good.” His eyes looked Phoebe up and down and made a point to bite his lower lip in appreciation as his eyes came back up to hers. ”And damn, girl, you hit it out of the park. No contest.”

”Hey Phoebe let me give you my number.” The freckled redhead was interfering again. Deon rolled his eyes. “I REALLY want to follow that guy but I don’t want to leave you with this...person.” Gross. That poor kid. Deon’s eyes followed the direction of the accidental-prone boy, watching as half a cell phone made contact with someone else’s face. He snickered. That kid would be lucky to last a month here.

Crossing her arms over her chest, Phoebe returned his look, somewhat annoyed at the comments. ”Hit it out of the park… “ she mused, thoughtful, ”Doesn’t that mean I’m out of your league?” As Una returned to her, Phoebe gave her a smile, her voice softer as she spoke to her, ”Thanks… I’ll find you later. You go. I’ll be okay.” she promised her, not wanting Una to regret staying and missing out on an opportunity.

Deon watched the freckled girl leave before responding.

”Maybe, maybe. Or I might just be the kid that brings back the balls for a ticket to the snack station.”

Phoebe gave a small laugh and shook her head, ”So he gives it up then.” she said with amusement, ”Either way, doesn’t bode well for you.”

”He returns it home safe and sound after a wild adventure.” he corrected.

”That depends on your definition of safe and sound.” She responded, ”As for a wild adventure… I think we’d differ on that as well.”

Deon shrugged his shoulders.

”Well that all depends on you, sweetheart. A quick night-ride on my bike tonight a bit too edgy for you?”

Phoebe’s expression and tone were rather ambiguous, leaning towards puzzled. ”What? Bumpy, rocking and left unsatisfied? No thanks”

”Who says you’d be left unsatisfied? That ain’t my style. I always show my girl a good time.”

”Therein lies an issue. I’m not your girl”

”Not yet you ain’t. But you could be.”

Phoebe shook her head, dropping her arms to her sides ””Could”, well, yes I suppose that is true. Seems about as likely as my standards lowering.”

Deon chuckled. He liked her fire.

”What, you already got a man in your life or something? I’m just asking for an evening ride, princess.”

Phoebe doubted she could explain, and even if she did, doubted he would understand. ”Oh? Asking is it? Seemed like you expected it.” she said in an even tone.

”Seems like you’re assuming a lot about me.” Deon countered with a soft smile.

”Then why don’t you clear up any confusion.”

”What would you like to know? I’m an open book, baby!” Deon outstretched his arms, opening himself up to her physically to solidify his words.

Phoebe paused a moment, curious as she pondered what to say. ”Then by all means, talk. Why not try to cover everything?”

”Chapter One: My Conception.”

Phoebe couldn’t help it, she laughed, ”Well, maybe not quite that far back.”

”Thank God. It was a confusing time, anyway.” Deon chuckled, though his statement didn’t go without truth. ”Look, I’ll talk with you about everything once this registration and moving in bullshit is over with. Come with me tonight. I’ll make sure you have a good time. You’ve got my word.”

Phoebe hesitated, thinking. She didn’t have to agree to anything she didn’t want to. ”Well. Alright.” She said, after a few moments thought.

Just as Deon was about to reply, there was a nudge straight up his backside. Shifting a bit awkwardly, Deon twisted his body around, his eyes looking down to see a young, blonde dog sniffing intently into his rear.

Using his hand, Deon gently pushed the dog away and though it tried a few times to return to him, finally got the hint after a few very firm, “no’s” from the male. The dog trotted off, stopped in the grass to pee, and then continued on.

Shaking his head, looking a bit annoyed, Deon gave his attention back to the redhead.

”Awesome. Okay. So should we go see what this big ol’ announcement Batman’s got for us, is?”

Phoebe tried to stifle her giggles, but failed as she watched the dog sniffing Deon. Whoever’s dog it was, it seemed quite curious and it was absolutely adorable. She wondered if she should stop it from wandering off, but didn’t get the chance to as she tried to compose herself. Hoping the dog would be alright, she cleared her throat, trying not to fall into a fit of giggles.

”Would probably be a wise thing to do.” She said, not quite able to hide the amusement from her voice.

Shaking his head, though maintaining a smile, Deon ushered for Phoebe to go first as they headed in the direction everyone else seemed to be going.

”So… you like dogs?”

Returning to his father’s side with Svanna by his side on Sleipnir, he kept his hand on Fenrir’s head. The wolf stayed by his side, growling at the students around them, the restraining hand Thracius had on his head the only thing keeping him there. He’d trained the wolf since he was a pup- he would no sooner disobey Thracius then cease to breath. Stopping in front of their father, Thracius glanced back towards the two Midgardian’s, his gaze lingering on the girl he’d been talking with. He was still perplexed by the topic of that conversation, and he watched her for a moment or two, before shaking his head. What was he doing, thinking on what a Midgardian had said to him? Foolish. Although the “Giving of thanks” still confused him. He turned his attention towards his father, pushing aside those thoughts. He wasn’t here to pander to Midgardians, nor to give them the time of day. They weren’t worth his confusion.

He glanced to his father, but turned his attention to Svanna. The rather loud mouthed female hadn’t, it seemed, done much for her. Whether or not that was because his father had called them back, he didn’t know. ”We’ll get you some help soon, Svanna.” he promised, his tone gentle as he spoke to his sister, giving her a rare smile. they’d find some healers, and she’d be seen to. He’d make sure of that. He patted Fenrir on the head, and the large wolf sat by his side. One would be mistaken if they thought the wolf was relaxing. It was quite the opposite, the wolf was still on alert, watching the other students around them. His ear’s flickered, and occasionally there was a growl. The wolf watched the blond dog rush about and did not seem to be impressed.

Or maybe he was just thinking what a nice snack the dog would be.

Thracius didn’t know.

He glanced back to his father, pausing a moment as he wondered whether or not he should say something, when they were interrupted by yet another Midgardian. Just how many of them were there here? The female appeared, just like the rest of them, squishy and bothersome. She dared to walk right up to Svanna, as if she had a right to! Thracius growl was echoed in Fenrir, the large wolf rising onto all fours once more, his teeth bared. Thracius, rather reluctantly, laid a restraining hand on his head once more, the wolf quivering under his touch.

”Step away from her.” He said, his voice leaving no room for disobedience as he put himself between the female and his sister. ”We need not your help, Midgardian.” He crossed his arms, glaring at the female, his expression one as if to say What are you still here for?. He kept his gaze on her, not concerned with what his father would do, nor did he seem to worry what anyone watching would think.

Anything that was about to happen was interrupted by the announcement overhead, and Thracus lowered his voice further, ”Move.”

Connor Tony Stark

Interacting with: Tobias Coulson, Salyssa Moone (@Vicier), Benjamin Parker (@YoshiSkittlez)
Location: Academy Grounds

Looking up at the sudden dark clouds, lightning and thunder, Connor seemed unconcerned about it. He had heard tell of Thor’s entrances, despite the fact that his father wasn’t as friendly with Thor as he was some of the other avengers, it wasn’t hard to put the God of Thunder to the sudden storm that went away as quickly as it came. At the bark and yap from Tobias’s dog, Connor glanced over at her, but it didn’t seem like she would bolt. Turning his gaze to Salyssa and Tobias, finding himself more than a little proud of himself. He’d made friends… and he hadn’t seemed to screw it up. And, maybe… despite his father’s words or maybe because of them Connor couldn’t help but think that maybe… he’d find something more at this school. Flicking a glance towards his brother when he saw him, Connor lifted his hand in a wave, but didn’t make a move to go over to him, seeing that Jason’s goal was their father. Turning back towards Salyssa and Tobias before he could imagine his father’s words to his older brother. At the notification on his phone, the ringtone letting him know that it was Ben, Connor grinned, taking it out of his pocket.

Just arrived. Where are you at?

He lifted his gaze up, looking towards the main gate to see if he could see Ben. The arrival of his best friend was cheering to Connor. They’d been through a lot together, Ben and himself. Infancy, childhood, the difficulties of school… He’d been there when Connor had started to develop his suit, and Connor had helped design Ben’s suit when Ben had finally developed his powers. Ben might not have said, but Connor knew Ben had been worried he’d never gain his abilities. Connor knew Ben would. He had faith in his friend, and he couldn’t even imagine not having Ben in his life.

He grinned, sending off a quick response to Ben Just in the courtyard, near the main gates!. He put his phone away, knowing that he could probably hear Ben, and see him in some sort of trouble. ”Would you mind if we could try and find my friend? He’s a bit accident prone… It won’t be too hard to find him.” He said to Salyssa and Tobias, looking to them and then away, as if he could find his friend by simply standing there.

He was sure he could see a blur being flung about the crowd, leaving some sort of chaos in its wake. Wondering just how much web Ben would get around himself, Connor gave a small laugh, thinking to himself that he should work harder to develop something that would combat the stickiness and strength of Ben’s webs.

He really should find him before he got himself into trouble. ”Just look for the boy that’s probably stuck to something.”

Ashton, Riley, Niesha

Location: The Hordebuster
Skills: Mechanic (Ash), Engineer (Ash)

Well, it was a banner day for the Hordebuster crew. Aside from the destruction of the only real home they had known since the Apocalypse, and of course, The Apocalypse, the general insanity reigning inside of the heavily modified vehicle, and the deaths of so many good, decent people for nothing, yes, aside from these unfortunate bits and pieces of Fate sticking it in and breaking it off, Ash couldn't seem to keep his truck on the road. The moment that the single walking corpse met its second end by the Hordebuster, the vehicle thundered directly past Jefferson Street, past the NAPA Auto parts store, and into the southern end of an industrial complex they had scoured for parts and supplies long ago.

Far from hysterical at the painfully unlikely turn of events, Ash simply sat behind the wheel of the Hordebuster, a disappointed look plastered on a weary face. He briefly considered taking a moment to beat his head upon said steering wheel in hopes of knocking himself unconscious, taking him out of any decision making for the next couple of hours. It was unbelievable that a vehicle with a history of being massively reliable, that had saved a population and continued to serve valiantly would suddenly betray him in this manner repeatedly. If the problem was with him, then they were screwed. No one else knew how to drive this beast like he could. But if all he could do was continually run them off of the road, then perhaps it was best to find a quiet spot and call it a day. Unfortunately, the only place he suspected was a quiet spot was in Arnco Mills. What would have otherwise been a fifteen minute drive or less was now bound to take all goddamned day. "Okay, to hell with this." he stated, determination and rage bubbling beneath a facade of stoicism, "This yard looks mostly clear. I'm cutting through here and getting us back to Jefferson. Meantime, I need someone with a map feeding me directions. We're making a run for Highway 34 to Alt 27, unless one of you can plot a better path."

Niesha very nearly fell into hysterical laughter again as they once more crashed, went off the road. Whether it was just the hoardbuster saying it wanted to rest, or Ash just not having a good driving day, it was a moot point. The day had been long, tiring and challenging and they did all need to rest. At the mention of a map, Niesha sighed softly. She hadn't thought to grab any of that- while she had thought on other supplies, she'd just stuck with the weapons she'd need. And the funeral home had been easy to find, so no map had been needed.

She shook her head, "If we have a map, I can do it." she said, glancing to Riley to see if she had one.

Riley gripped the edges of her seat when she watched Ashton driving over yet another walker, she could have probably made an entire game now at this point, to see how many things Ashton could nearly crash into or run over. Riley watched as they drove past a NAPA Auto Parts store parking lot and into an industrial complex lot. Riley listened to Ashton, asking if either of them had a map on them to plot a course. Riley then looked towards Niesha giving her a 'don't look at me look', she was more focused on getting out of Newnan more then anything else and didn't think of getting a bugout bag.

"I don't have a map on me, do you happen to have one lying about in here?" Riley asked, she never truly looked at a map in her life, they were always so confusing to read. She remembered the few times where her parents would find a map while she and Chloe and their brother went on a family vacation and they took long hours on the road. "If you have one in here, then I can help out navigating as best as I can." She offered.

With a sudden and unappreciable lack of warning, Ash tapped lightly on the brake and brought the wheel of the Hordebuster around, catapulting the formidable vehicle into a turn that, despite most physical laws to the contrary, greatly resembled a maneuver from "Tokyo Drift". He had meant to only bear right into the coming industrial complex, but either his mind was far, far elsewhere, or the 'Buster had other ideas. Either way, the generally stable truck now showed its potential for "goin' a-muddin'", as it spun off of the paved area and onto the grass, cutting a swath of lightly smoking, torn greenery behind it, and pointing them directly at a nearby building going at a screamingly high rate of speed. Oddly, the Captain remained stonefaced the entire time.

At the last possible second, Ash leaned on the wheel, prompting the Hordebuster to fling itself almost parallel to the building. Almost. When he punched the gas again, just shy of clearing the faded, orange-roofed building, the leading edge of the Hordebuster's plowhead took out a corner of the structure. While little the worse for wear, it did make a stated, crunching sound, not unlike the noise one might imagine Ash's faith in his driving abilities must also be making after the last ten minutes. Clear of obstructions, Ash pulled a wide, awkward turn, damn near running into the building yet again yet finally, finally pointing himself back at the road he had intended to turn onto in the first place. Jefferson Street. And here he was beginning to believe it was only a myth.

Finally back on the road and pointed the right direction, Ash stoically turned his head in the general direction of Niesha, calmly stating, "I have a bugout bag on the floor between our seats. You should find a map in there." He then turned his head back around to wordlessly scan the road in front of them.

As Ash once more tried to ensure the hoardbuster had a place in "Monster Trucks of History" Niesha clung to the edge of her seat with her right hand, the knuckles going white. She made no sound as Ash seemed to spin the hoardbuster about, eventually getting on what she hoped was the right track.

She let out a breath of relief, before she nodded and sought to retrieve the bug out bag, ruffling through it until she found the map. "Got it." She said, shifting back into her seat, and wondering if they should just stop where they were. Ash wasn't having a good driving day, but even as she thought that she recognised that only a building falling down on the Hoardbuster would be trouble for it. She just had to hope that he wouldn't crash into a building that decided to retaliate.

Riley held onto the seat some more nearly white knuckling her grip on it, as Ashton hit the side of the building quietly muttering to herself that they would make it alive despite Ashton's erratic driving. She leaned back slightly as she listened to Ashton mentioning that there was a bugout bag in there. Watching as Niesha grabbed the bugout bag that was in between her and Ashton. At least they had a map now and they could finally go in the right direction on where they need to go, she really needed a drink and to get out the moment they were safely at their intended destination.

Ash methodically turned his head to Niesha, and then to Riley. The utter lack of emotion was palpable. He tilted his neck again, bringing his eyes back in line with Niesha's. Silently affirming that she was in possession of the map from the bugout bag, he turned again, facing the road. Ash mentally scanned their intended route (ie: straight ahead) and set foot to accelerator.

The Hordebuster went sideways.

Not fully, partially levitated sideways, more than a particularly impressive and totally unexpected turn to the right, executed in the most ass way possible. The Hordebuster ran off of the road, seemingly instantaneously reaching top speed. It barreled over the low shoulder, coming smoothly down onto the ground on the other side and transitioning into the smallish parking lot beyond, liquefying an upright corpse in the process. It fishtailed around in a wide arc, its dump body obliterating another dead guy and coming to rest facing the proper direction on an intersecting side street. Yet another member of the formerly living began to saunter up in front of them as the Hordebuster sat idling in the middle of the street. With a shrug, Ash decided to just go with it, punching the gas hard enough to hear a half-second of tires squealing before the machine lurched forward, splattering the poor, dead bastard across the countryside.

Again merging back onto Jefferson Street, Ash looked to his passengers and said with utter nonchalance, "Sorry. Knew that guy."

As Ash once more, quite calmly and in a way that was beginning to freak Niesha out. Maybe he wasn't as sane as she thought... Maybe he was affected by whatever had happened more than she thought... What could she do? Ash was, perhaps, dangerous to them. She doubted that she could overpower him, and even if she did, she doubted she could ever drive the hoardbuster. So instead, she gripped her seat once more, and closed her eyes tightly.

Even when the Hoardbuster seemed to be under control she didn't open her eyes right away. She could feel her heart racing, and she had crumpled the map slightly in her intense grip.

"Hey, Ash? How much did you have to drink before we got in?" She asked nonchalantly, "Just asking. Maybe there's something wrong with the busters wheels?"

Riley was really thinking of just getting out of the Buster and doing a human barrel roll out of it due to Ash's erratic driving skills. But she remained as quiet as she could trying to focus on other things, like all of the good times that she had before the outbreak started. Even the good times when she was younger with Chloe, she just ignored the splattering sounds of walkers harmlessly hitting against the Hordebuster.

Riley then looked over towards Niesha when she asked him if Ashton had been drinking at all since they had gotten into the truck with him. She decided to not even make a comment, she thought that it was most likely just due to all of the ice that was on the road.

"Drink? Yeah. Love one." murmured Ash, sizing up the very straight path in front of him. The truck was pointed in the right direction, the wheels were straight, and all the driver had to do was ease onto the accelerator and keep the steering wheel still. He could do that. No problem. Well, except that it was a problem, apparently. As Ash gently eased his foot onto the gas pedal, The Hordebuster decided that it had just about enough of the whole 'going in a straight line' deal, and instead roared off of the side of the road, splattering another animated corpse. Ash wheeled it back around, again, and got it back on the road, again, taking out two more in the process. A short wrestle with the wheel, and they were back underway! Hopefully to hit the main road and breeze out of the area.

"Well. At least you are taking out walkers. Like a bowling ball hitting the bumpers." Niesha said, keeping her tone light as she tried to relax, opening the map, but not really knowing where they were at the moment, she simply refused to look forward anymore. Although she was worried about Ash's driving and apparent nonchalance about it all, she couldn't do anything about it until they found a place to stop. And even then, she doubted she could do anything.

They needed Victor... But she didn't even know if he was alive. Her thoughts once more turned to Newman, and she had to hope that people got out. She sighed, and shook her head, pushing those thoughts aside. "So. Map."
