I enjoyed both movies. No sense in being a hipster, since it's not like there's not thousands of other movies using the same kinds of themes as another movies that are still enjoyable.
I was being a hipster when I refused to watch the movie for years because fuckteenmovies, today was me giving it a chance and it dropped the ball. I did not enjoy this movie.

Basically Battle Royale written for kids.
Really all I had hoped from it was a better excuse for the survival games than Battle Royale, but in my opinion it even fails to do that. At least BR embraces how ridiculous the concept is, Hunger Games tries to take itself so seriously with a concept for the games that really isn't all that different from Battle Royale's.
