I'll get my history and such up today some time. How's the I.C. coming along?

We have an IC?

Here I thought all we were going to do was post character sheets.
I'm within reach of finishing my nation sheet, just have to elaborate on the descriptions of my ships and airships, the glorious coal-fueled behemoths they are.

Also, I have no southern neighbor. I don't know what I am supposed to do about that, just make up a nation or pretend it doesn't exist?
Quick question, how would disputed territorial claims be handled?

Assuming you mean in the roleplay, what he said. If you mean otherwise, whoever picked to start in that area first.

You could also come to some sort of exchange or agreement. My race is going to have a cultural reason to expand all the way west to the end of the peninsula, which likely will bring them into conflict with the Snow Brutes.
@Mihndar I finished the part of my history that involved you, let me know it its alright.

Looks good to me. Will adjust my sheet to reflect it.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I offset things I had slightly ahead of time (the PIAT-style weapons, which were on use like three years later) with things I don't have (tanks, armored vehicles, gasoline-based ships). Sure some stuff is OP in comparison, but you also have to take into account weaknesses.

But it is important to remember this is a roleplay, not a strategy game. You cannot "win". The point is to create an evocative story.
Well, I have Siberia.

And if I look at present-day oil production?

Russia: 10,107,000

Saudi Arabia: 9,735,200

Take that, fundamentalist scum.
@Mihndar As long as they have weaknesses.

Of course. There's only so much armor you can put on an elephant, so they would still be quite vulnerable to tank fire if they get hit first.
My nation will have a strong airship program, since after all we don't have the technology for conventional planes, but we'll already have them and they will be primarily filled with helium, since we produce that ourselves. And Kataylabinsk will also be a producer of bulletproof plastic fibers (yay chemistry) that they will use for their airships to make them resistant to flak cannons and such.

My particular thoughts, however, are around our ground military. Instead of tanks, I was thinking war elephants, like those used in India, except these would be armored and mounted with some kind of small cannon that shoots thermite rounds to disable enemy tanks.

And I was also going to outfit troops with rocket-propelled grenades to deal with enemy armor, since again, we don't have them.

Airships.

Fair enough.

Well the idea wasn't that nobody else would have submarines, it's just that I'd have the most/best submarines. But like I was asking, what are your thoughts on that? Would it be too much for me to have a big population, the most land, and a bunch of submarines to boot?

Sounds fine to me. I was also planning on having really good submarines since we're both down on technological expertise in the mechanical area.
@Mihndar

Aww sorry! I just got around to reading your NS in detail only minutes ago and was like "Uh oh.... they ain't gonna be happy about Kavuria...." XD

I can just sell to those who have bad relations with you, so it'll be fine.

Wait for someone new but I'm pitting down a little claim on the peninsula above the nation that looks like Africa because I have little land and no empire.

But... you have no ports... so how would you even get there?
