Political Parties: United Communist Party, Liberal Democratic Party (effectively neo-fascist), Just Russia Party (social democratic). The UCP has a considerable supermajority, followed by the LDP and JRP with small percentages.
Type of Government: Constitutional monarchy. The reigning monarch is Vyacheslav Putin, who possesses all of the standard executive powers of a president or prime minister, plus the ability to dissolve the Supreme Soviet and Politburo if necessary. The standard legislative and administrative functions are carried out by those two entities, the Supreme Soviet serving as the representative lower house and the Politburo as the upper house.
Economic System: The Soviet Empire is a planned economy, but greater democratic participation in the planning has allowed it to become more efficient and eliminate some corruption. The recommendations of the lower soviets are taken into account when planning the next year's production. Small-scale capitalism, such as small family farms and stores, are allowed to exist but all of the core industries are nationalized and planned.
Military:
Active-Duty Army: 3,250,000
Reserve: 2,750,000
Due to the Soviet Empire's uninterrupted development and enormous military spending, Russia's military remains one of the most powerful in the world. It still possesses more tanks than any other nation, mostly composed of the T-44 main battle tank and T-36 heavy tank (both equipped with railgun cannons and conventional machine guns) but with a fraction of remaining conventional T-90s from the beginning of the century. The pride of its land military, however, is the SB-48 combat exoskeleton, an armored exoskeleton worn into combat that radically increases the physical abilities of its user while protecting them from all but the highest-caliber bullets and tank shells. However, this model can only be used for short periods of time (around an hour and a half) due to the high power consumption. Its air force has been fully upgraded with stealth technology, the centerpiece being the PAK FA fifth-generation fighter. Finally, its navy remains fairly lackluster as a mostly land-based power, but the Soviet Empire does possess two aircraft carriers, one newly built in 2023 and has modernized and maintained its twentieth-century navy to remain competitive.

History of the Nation: The Soviet Empire of Greater Russia was established in 2018 due to the elapsing term of President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation. To cement his power, he crowned himself Emperor of a new, both Soviet and Imperial, state. Putin's United Russia party merged with the Communist Party and formed one cohesive program for running the nation. Over the next twenty years he secured his power, crushing protests and revolts, and succeeded in accomplishing the membership of Belarus and Kazakhstan in the Empire. During World War III, Ukraine was successfully annexed into the Empire fully, and the Baltic states were also conquered.
The Soviet Empire mostly stayed out of the main conflict of the war between China and America, and instead pursued more local concerns, staging an invasion of the remainder of Ukraine, the Caucasus, and Central Asia in the hope of consolidating power and regaining its former borders. As a result, though the Soviet Empire was affected by the war it was affected to a significantly lesser degree.
However, in 2028, leading his army in Central Asia, Vladimir Putin was assassinated by Islamic extremists, and the war was called to a halt as his son, Vyacheslav Putin, was crowned the new Emperor. Since the end of the war, Vyacheslav has been consolidating his power and improving the economy and industry of Russia to prepare for war once again. The Soviet Empire has close ties with the Second Ethiopian Empire, due to their funding of the government and due to their mutual struggle against Islamic extremists in Central Asia and North Africa, and hopes to continue such a partnership. The rise of the Hellenic Kingdom as well attracts the attention of the Empire, as it may provide the potential for a new alliance of Orthodox countries.
