Act two of the original three is done. It is about 100 pages and 23k words. I'll be merging the first two acts into one and the book will end up being about twice as long as originally projected.

Act 1 of 3 is done. It’s about 100 pages and 23k words and has a prelude, 8 chapters, and an interlude. I’m looking at 100k words as an approximate goal.

Bio

Thrawn: "I have read about the nightswan. Have you?"

Nightswan: "You refer to the fact that it sings only as night is falling?"

Thrawn: "Yes. You do not expect your stand to succeed, do you?"

Nightswan: "I know that it won't succeed."

Thrawn: "That does not necessarily mean the end. I can give orders for you to be taken unharmed."

Nightswan: "They will be ignored. Half the troops here are Batonn Defense and Restos is determined to get rid of me."

Thrawn: "Then come with me now!"

Nightswan: "A man must do what he must, Admiral Thrawn. Even if his stand is against the fall of eternal night."

@Emuxe By the way, if you know, on a scale of 1-10 (1 being mumen rider and 10 being the sea king) how strong are the monsters?
@Animal Since your attack has already been approved, do you want to edit your post to include an effect? Also, I'm gonna wait for a post from Spooky since he's on scene too.
@Animal That's kinda what I was trying to get at XD
@Animal Not it! lol But I do agree that the NPC should be controlled by someone. It feels weird to just take control of it when I start fighting
I did the posting thing

As it would happen, the alien-crab thing decided that someone near the ground was more notable than Ventus was. This was a major shock to Geoff’s ego. Not that he had much of an ego but what was there was indeed shocked. He quickly flew after the monster dropping into a steep dive and propelling himself as fast as he could reasonably do. All the while he was working out the equations for his descent in his head as a second measure to keep himself alive. Flying around is cool and all but things still have to obey the laws of physics.

The monster had smashed a car to literal nothing while chasing the someone. Hopefully they’re a hero, maybe Guardian or Panther Man… Though I would like one of the other Class S heros to take one of the other threats… The, actually rather tall, man who had caught the monster’s attention wore a very short blue cape with some misaligned duct-tape on it. It looked like the shape was suppose to represent the letter ‘P’ but Ventus wasn’t sure.

He didn’t waste time with small talk - the P was about to be crushed. Burr was relatively certain that most everyone there had already gone since a crowd was gathering around the dome-building, which must’ve been the evacuation center. He focused on the air surrounding the alien and forced it to contract, grasping the crab. He smashed it into the street, severely cracking the later. The impact threw several chunks of road into shops and walls, smashing windows on cars and buildings.

Ventus never really saw the point of naming an attack, his fans did though but he never really paid attention to most of them. He definitely did not see the point of shouting the name, of said attack, while using it - that just didn’t make any sense to him.

The thing about monsters is that they’re not monsters for no reason.

When Ventus smashed part of the street he’d briefly lost focus on the grasp and the alien broke free and sent two powerful jets of water upward toward the flying hero. Ventus had hardly any time to conjure up a wall of condensed air to deflect the water, in fact the wall only partially did that. He’d misjudged the force needed to keep the wall steady and it shot back and slammed into him sending Geoff flying upward until he’d caught himself. It was becoming apparent that Tiger was too low of a threat level for this monster.
@Phobos Oh, that makes sense. Didn't think of that XD
@Phobos To be clear, I should hold off on posting for Geoff for just a bit to see what the crab-monster-alien-watershooting-thing does?
So how are the monsters going to be controlled? I'm currently waiting on a GM to do something with the monster in city S so I can respond unless that's up to me to decide.
I had Ventus rush to city S with all haste.
