Hello and welcome to the madness guild! Hope you find what you're looking for RP wise

Me too, Nani!

Thank you for the welcome!
Hello hello to all my roleplaying family out there on this forum!

I must say, I've been looking for a play by post forum on and off for a VERY long time now, and I'm thrilled to have come across this website. My name's Matt, and I've been a fan of roleplaying ever since I discovered that it existed. As a younger man, I was always a massive fan of fiction literature (usually fantasy, but there are a plethora of genres that intrigue me); specifically those stories with epic lore and truly in depth worlds that suck you right in and make you feel like you could easily live in them. My mind would always be coming up with original characters and storylines that existed within the worlds/stories that brilliant authors created, attempting to build upon or enhance their original ideas so I could find my character's place within them. In those days, I was participating in RP chat rooms (dating myself here for the old school AOL/AIM users,) and had actually found several forums like this in which I would collaborate with other like minded individuals to create plotlines and characters that stoked the imagination and creativity within each other, as well as the lurkers who simply liked to read what we had to say. Eventually, I created a world of my own on a forum very much like this one, and we had a good run for a while, but like these things tend to do, it fizzled out.

For a while, I was content with simply scribbling my ideas and characters into short stories to satisfy the urge to create, but it never felt as if my itch was being scratched. I genuinely enjoy collaborative storytelling and learning about what other people came up with as far as characters and storylines and their own enriching lore and worldbuilding. Fortunately, I rediscovered D&D after MANY years of not playing, and have been an avid player and DM for several years now. And while that certainly helps with the desire to create, I've always been missing the narrative form of play by post roleplaying and storytelling...until I found this website recently.

I'm hoping to join in some unique and creative worlds that you guys build, and hopefully enhance and contribute to it in a positive way that keeps people like us coming back for more. Collaborative storytelling, when done right with a crew who really vibe well and have excellent chemistry, can produce some straight up magic.

So that being said, I'm excited to embark on my journey with Roleplayer Guild and see what stories I can hop in on.

Let's make some magic together!
