Personality: Aurora is a very noble wolf. She is by far the diplomat of the two alphas and much more flexible than her mate. She strives for understanding and cooperation between everyone but understands that diplomacy can't solve every problem. Violence is a last resort for Aurora and she will make honest efforts to avoid it if at all possible. She has a passion for cooking that stems from her nurturing attitude toward her pack and acts as something of an unofficial counselor for anyone who needs it. In general Aurora is motherly and diplomatic by nature but most importantly she supports her mate and his decisions even if she herself doesn't necessarily agree with them.

History: Her ancestors were Lycans living among the Siuox tribes, known as Lakota. The Lakota Lycans were forced to merge with the Blue Ridge Pack after the subjugation of the Sioux tirbes and the persecution of hunters who acme over from europe. Aurora is the last surviving descendant of the members of the Lakota Lycans and the direct descendant of the Lakota Alpha Bloodline. Her lineage made her an obvious choice as Niall's mate and she gladly accepted the responsibility associated with becoming the Alpha. Her heritage also gives her a unique perspective compared to the rest of the pack.

Extra?: As a proffessionally trained and certified chef Aurora is more than just a simple cook. She manages the food stores and works with the farmers to create the healthiest and most nutritious food for the pack. She does of course cook for everyone as well.

@WhiteStar19 Hmm... Earth and Korallia are both members of the Federal Union of Planets so they wouldn't really need an ambassador. Meeting a Korallian on Earth, or any other race, isn't uncommon in the least. Earth has the most diverse population in known space, excluding the expanse.

If he's going to be the first mate I want him and the Captain to have a lot of history together since she wouldn't trust him otherwise. I'm going to get her CS up soon and then we can work out their relationship. I want them to at least be close friends.

Is hyperspace a thing in this universe?

Hyperspace is a really broad term but if you mean faster than light travel then yes we have FTL capabilities. The way I had imagined FTL is through the Alcubierre warp drive which creates a bubble of seperate space around the vessel and then contracts and expands space time around that bubble to propel it forward. That way we bypass the universal speed limit without actually moving, since hte ship itself isn't actually accelerating.

God I've had a really hard time for some reason coming up with a new concept for a character, now that my generic "nobly-dishonorably discharged commodore" isn't going to happen.

I think I'd still like to make a Captain, so I figure I'll run this new idea by you:

Reformed arms smuggler: believes strongly in everyone's right to defend themselves with any means available, and made a living selling firearms to non-criminal elements looking for safety, running against legal institutions who disapprove of his actions. Strongly moralistic, with an emphasis in not only his own life but his general philosophical outlook on freedom and its necessity/merit/status as a right for all thinking beings. Enthusiastic part-time gunsmith, decided after one too many close calls to go legitimate and broaden his trading prospects, and now flies his old smuggling ship legitimately, a freelance trader looking for profitable contracts and not afraid of a little danger in his endeavors. Probably brash, strongly moralistic, relatively traditional with a particular rhetorical interest in history, deep down a thrill seeker and adrenaline junkie despite what he may tell himself. VERY strong distaste for government or what he perceives as tyranny, but rejects the anarchy so prevalent among spacers and tries to, in all situations, avoid violence, despite his shameful love of danger.

Did you want your own ship? I will be taking the role of Captain of the Odyssey and everyone else was going to be the crew. Maybe I didn't mention that before? I thought I did. Anyway you could easily be the first mate with a few tweaks. I should note as well that the first mate will have a close relationship to the Captain and so we'll need to work out a few details between them.
