☆mariemaia & protettore & videl☆
Jecht's crew were all experienced when it came to dealing with his tantrums --you wouldn't be able to survive for long without it-- but nothing could have ever prepared them for the fit Jecht fell into when he heard about Trixxtal's disappearance. " That could have gone better." Mariemaia sighed to herself as she hid with the other crew members in the crow's nest, safely away from Jecht's wrath.

" Si, there are a number of ways you could have handled it better, but it would all have had the same outcome," Videl added solemnly. " Mi dios look at all the damage he's causing!"

A stray lightening bolt flew over Protettore's head and he clung tighter to Cepheus' arm, " When will he stop?" He was close to tears and the only thing stopping him from crying was the fear of Jecht hearing them and getting more angry than he already was.

Mariemaia ducked lower behind the wall of the crow's nest as she heard Jecht's anguished cries. Who knew that he and Trixxtal were so close? Sure, it was understandable that he was so angry, given that it was his best friend that had been taken, but destroying the whole ship because of it? Now that was going a little overboard in her opinion. When Jecht gave his last cry before falling to his knees, Videl poked his head out to survey the scene, making sure it was safe and to access the damaage. " Look's like he's finally tired himself out, pobrecito."

Mariemaia however, was not so lax upon seeing Jecht collapse on floor, covered in his own blood. "Jecht!" She cried out, jumping over the wooden ledge to land gracefully on the floor, rushing to his side without a moment's notice. Videl on the other hand was not as brave and remained where he was. He would wait until Jecht was truly down and out before going down there, incase there was more fight left in him. He rested his arms against the ledge and watched as a panicked Mariemaia helped Jecht to his feet. " Amazing what love can do to a person, huh?" He asked Nemesis with some amusement in his tone, unsure if he was talking about Mariemaia or Jecht.

VALENTE Valente's gross sobbing had drowned out anything Adrian had to say, so he didn't hear when he said 'Valhalla Mancini'. If he had, he would have packed up shop right there and hit the road, never to be heard of again. He liked Protettore and Marcellina just fine, but he couldn't be around others who knew about his homeworld, or the Council, or anything even remotely connected to his past. He knew that he couldn't keep running forever, but he couldn't stop now, especially now that he knew that his little brother was looking for him. He finished sobbing with the help of his friends reassurances. " T-thank you, that sounds really great," He told Marcellina, pulling a handkerchief from his shirt sleeve, magically, and used it to wipe his tears. " C'mon, we should do what the Boss told us..." He muttered reluctantly and began to walk over to the discarded bodies on the ground. They weren't even worth healing if they couldn't fight off a simple spirit, but orders were orders. He began healing them one by one, placing his hand on their foreheads for a minute or two, before moving on to the next one. " They should wake up in the next 30 minutes. I know Boss said to move them to the medical room, but they'll be fine if we leave them here. It'll be like they're having a slumber party!" He cooed, his earlier distressed mood gone. As he reached the final guy, his phone jingled in his pocket. The text was from Protettore and Valente could already tell what it was going to be. From -> The Boss Subject -> You Idiot -- My Uncles will be arriving soon. I want you to escort them over here. And fix Jecht's hair before he kills you. -- Valente laughed loudly and showed the text proudly to Marcellina, " Looks like the grandpas are coming over! I hope Jecht likes the new hairstyle I gave him! Centuries of having the same hair style should be a crime, y'know. I don't know what he's so angry over." He had even been so kind enough as to give Jecht multiple colors instead of picking one for him. The least he could do was be grateful. He gleefully texted Protettore back that the job was done and that he would be leaving the castle. All the magical seals and charms would still be in affect in Valente's absence, but the fortress would no longer be able to move. " Well, jobs done so I'm off. Oh, Adrian! You haven't met the Grandpas yet. Oh, you'll love them, they're real fun! Make sure to compliment the one with the rainbow hair, he worked really hard on it," Valente laughed and casted a protection spell around himself. It blocked out his magical energy, so others wouldn't be able to sense him, and it also served as a barrier, incase Jecht tried to attack him. Again. " If you could, can you watch over Adrian? Make sure he doesn't get into trouble, or that...er, no one wants to eat him." He asked Marcellina, his most trusted confidant in this place. After a quick transformation spell, turning him to a beautiful golden bat, Valente casted another spell, this time a transportation one, and he arrived at Trixxtal and Jecht's private Island. Or well, what he expected to be their island. Everything was dark, cramped, and smelt slightly of sweaty feet. He heard muffled voices from above, but couldn't quite guess where he was. It was only when a sudden ray of light appeared and a foot was coming towards him did he realize where the spell had landed him. Before he was smushed to death, Valente sunk his tiny teeth into the foot and heard a loud yell, the foot retracting instantly and the shoe falling to the floor. Valente hastily headed towards the light and emerged out of the shoe, flying up to the ceiling where he was safe, and looked down. Damn, so it hadn't been Jecht that he had bit, but Trixxtal instead. But it was all good, he wasn't that fond of the blonde anyway. TRIXXTAL " Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!" Trixxtal cried, hopping around on one foot while carefully holding his wounded one with his hands. He had only been getting ready to leave for Protettore's fortress and went to go grab his shoes. He wasn't expecting to be bitten, or for a bat to come flying out of it. He had only worn those boots yesterday anyway, so there was no way a bat could be living in there without him noticing! He looked up at the ceiling, finding the bat, and was about to try to shoo it out the window when he noticed the strange color of it's fur. It dawned on him then that this was not any ordinary bat. " Jecht! Jecht!" He cried out, hopping to their bed so that his bloody foot didn't have to touch the floor and ruin their perfectly white rug. " Oh, you're going to fucking get it this time." He muttered darkly to Valente.
Ryoichi Rousseau

Ryoichi was born in Japan in the late 1980's, but was abandoned at a very young age. It was unclear whether or not his parents died or simply left, but Ryoichi grew up on the streets mostly on his own. During the early years of his life he was looked after by a kind old man who could hardly take care of himself, but he died when Ryoichi was seven. After that, he went back on to the streets with nothing but the clothes on his back. It was there that he met Ryuunosuke, a fellow orphan, who was in a similar situation as him, and also close in age. For a long time the two looked out for each other on the streets, stealing food, finding shelter, and generally surviving together. They became close enough where they referred to each other as brothers, and thought that nothing would ever be strong enough to break their bond, but then Protettore came along, and everything changed.

It was a dark rainy night and the two little boys hadn't had anything to eat in a while. They were on the brink of starvation when Ryuunosuke noticed a wealthy looking foreigner walk past. Ryoichi then got the great idea to steal from the man and use his money to buy food, and before Ryuu could say anything, he was already running to catch up to the man. His hand was already halfway down his coat pocket when a iron grip latched on to his wrist and pulled him away. It wasn't the wealthy man who had done it, but instead the other man who he was with. Ryo was about to kick and fight his way out of the situation when the wealthy man put out his cigarette and took out his wallet, handing Ryo a stack of money. Overjoyed, Ryo went back to Ryuu with the cash and that night they ate more than ever before. The next night, the same wealthy man walked past the alley way where they had first met, and handed them both a bento box. Ryo and Ryuu were confused, but they wouldn't pass up the chance of free food. The next night after that, expecting the man to come again, they were surprised to see that the man had brought a car with him and told them to get in. Ryo was uneasy at first, afterall, the man was a stranger, but with nothing else to loose, he went into the car, with a reluctant Ryuu trailing behind. In near fluent Japanese, the wealthy man asked them if they would like to come live with him in a strange place called Italy, and that he would adopt them both if they said yes. Immediately Ryo agreed, as he was tired of living on the streets and wanted a real home, and together with Ryuunosuke, they went to Italy.

It turned out that the wealthy man was even more wealthy than they ever thought and he lived in a giant mansion just outside the city. Adjusting to life in Europe was difficult at first, especially getting used to the language, and they would often have to ask their new father, whose name was Protettore ((another word they couldn't say so they just called him Papa)) to translate for them. But translating every little thing became tiring and soon Protettore hired an Italian teacher to teach them, as well as a league of teachers to teach them about all the other subjects that they missed. Within a year they were mostly caught up and could even speak in Italian. Now able to talk to others, they began forming relationships with other people who lived in the mansion, including the man who had been with Tori in Japan, who they would soon come to know as Mama.

After a two years of being adopted, their father's work picked up and he was out of the mansion a lot more. Scared that they were going to be thrown out on the streets again, the boys tried to convince him to let them come with them, but he told them that his work was dangerous. Instead of hiring a nanny, he left them in the care of Vencentio, the other person they were familiar with, where they would stay on weeks on end. Soon they too began to form a familial bond with Vencentio and Ryo began to affectionately call him Mama, since he already had a father. When Protettore returned, he found it funny that they had taken such a liking to Vencentio and never bothered to correct them, leading them to believe that Vencentio was apart of their family too.

It wasn't until he was much older did Ryoichi discover what Protettore really was. He knew that his Mama and Papa weren't normal, since they never went out during day time or any of the normal things people did, but he never knew what to call it. When he hit his teenage years, his father finally sat him down and confessed that he was a vampire, and required human blood to survive. Rather than he shocked or frightened, Ryo instantly thought it was cool and asked Tori if he could become one too. Laughing, his father told him that he wouldn't want to be a thirteen year old for the rest of eternity, and told him and Ryuunosuke that he would give them the choice to become and vampire or not when they got older. It wasn't until they were older that they discovered that their family was actually apart of a mob, and that Tori was the Don.

But during his teenage years, a rift began to form between Ryo and Ryuu. At first it started small, with small arguments here and there, but once they hit puberty, it erupted into full blown fights. Tori and Ven were always fast enough to stop them before anyone got hurt, but the emotional damage was still there. The once close brothers were now becoming quick rivals, and it was all for Tori's attention. Tori thought that they would cease their fighting when he turned them into vampires when he were twenty-two, but the fighting only continued, and became more destructive, now that they had their supernatural powers.

VALDMAR SHAKKIR MANCINI
06/03/967 - 29/12/1085
died at 118 | would be 178 in present day

Valdmar is from a small nomadic village in the East and ended up being the grandfather to the Prince and Princesses of WIz. Born Shakkir Xuen, he left his small village to travel to the Main City to look for a job. His own father was a sheep herder and Shakkir did not want to follow that line of work. However, he was not rich enough to afford a boat ticket to get to the Main City, so he decided to travel on foot. It took a little over 2 months, and by the time he reached the city gates, he was half dead. Halfway through his journey, he was mugged by bandits and they took all his supplies, forcing him to fend for himself the rest of the way. Shakkir survived on different wild berries and whatever fresh water he could find. He was underweight and very malnourished by the time he passed out infront of the gates and only managed to live with the help of Valkyrie Mancini.

Her father accidentally ran over him with his cart as they were returning from their vacation home in the South and Valkyrie insisted that they bring the unconscious Shakkir back to their home where he could receive treatment. Her father was reluctant to bring the strange man into their home, but Valkyrie reminded him that he was the one who ran over him in the first place, so he agreed and packed Shakkir into the back of the cart and took him home.

When he woke up a few hours later, he was greeted with the face of an angel and he fell instantly in love with Valkyrie, who personally tended to his wounds. Surprised to find that she was the descendant of the legendary Valhalla Mancini, Shakkir tried to leave prematurely, thinking that he wasn't worthy of being in her presence, and attempted to escape through the window. Sadly the healing room was located on the fourth floor of their mansion and Shakkir broke his arm and leg in the fall, causing him to stay at their home for longer. Valkyrie found him incredibly endearing and began to court him, giving him expensive treasures and jewels in attempt to whoo him. But due to the different customs in the East, Shakkir had no clue about Valkyrie's intentions and remained oblivious. Eventually his arm and leg healed and he was getting ready to leave the Mancini manor when Valkyrie was attacked by some rouge wizards. Shakkir made to save her, but somehow ended up getting hurt by the wizards. Seeing Shakkir hurt enraged Valkyrie and she unleashed all the magic she had been holding back and defeated the wizards. Completely captured by Valkyrie's beauty and power, Shakkir hesitatingly asked her out, to which she replied 'about time!'

The two got married after 2 years of courting and Shakkir found a stable job in the city as a construction worker. Shakkir changed his name to Valdmar Mancini because of Valkyrie's noble lineage and they started their new lives together. They had 2 children together, Valentia and Valiant and were a very happy family. Shakkir looked intimidating with his height and all the arm muscle he gained from building houses but was actually a giant pushover, while it was his wife who wore the pants in the family. She was humble and raised Valentia and Valiant like normal children, unlike the other noble families. They were expected to treat those less fortunate then them with respect and not to look down on them, but help them. When Bellarose took over, Valkyrie convinced Shakkir to move their family out of the City and the family relocated to the East temporarily, moving in with Shakkir's elderly father Shabant.

They moved back to the City after Bellarose's fall and Valiant joined the newly created Wizard Council and became Belzeneff's Protector. After Valentia moved out, Valkyrie and Shakkir moved to the South, to the Mancini vacation home and lived a quiet, peaceful life together. They would regularly visit their children to check up on them, especially after Valiant's loss of his eye and Valentia's engagement to the Prince. Valkyrie was uneasy about the sleazy Prince Belzeneff, but Shakkir was just glad that there was someone who made his little girl happy. They attended the wedding and watched their daughter become Queen with pride. Years later they attended Valiant's wedding to Dionysus and greeted her into the family with open arms.

Years later, after the birth of Valiant's third child Valtreks, Shakkir died suddenly from a heart disease at the age of 118. It was so suddenly that he had only shown symptoms of being sick that morning, and by the next day, he was dead. Valkyrie was so shocked by his passing that she became a recluse and shut herself away in their home, not even opening the door for her own children. She too died a few years later from the same disease, that seemed to only effect people in the South. Their home was destroyed after Valentia and Valiant refused to sell it and the plot is reserved by the Mancini name. Shakkir and Valkyrie are buried in the family plot in the Main City, along with their grandson Valor.

PROTETTORE
Now that the spirit problem was (somewhat) controlled, Tori had the time to finally check up on Vencentio. He didn't know if he made it to his room or not, but he had given his son an order to do so, so he probably had. Tori knew that his son's would never defy him, especially on something concerning Vencentio, and pride swelled in his heart. It hardly ever showed on his face or actions, but Protettore was actually very proud of his sons.

His phone beeped again as he was going up the stairs and he stopped to sigh, expecting it to another broken text from Trixxtal about Jecht's hair, but was surprised to see that it was from Ryuu. He read the message and simply sent back an Okay before closing the phone and resuming his trek up the stairs. He had forgotten to talk to Valente about messing with Jecht's hair, but now that he and Trixxtal were dropping by, they could do it themselves. It was poor timing for them to visit, considering the evil spirit was still hanging around, but it would be useless to tell them not to. Jecht was probably going to beat the shit out of Valente, or try to, and there was no stopping him once he decided on something. Protettore didn't even plan on intervening with this strife unless Valente was winning or Jecht had beat him within an inch of his life. He just hoped the spirit reacted kindly to his uncles because he has had enough weirdness for one week.

On his way to Vencentio's room, he stepped over the unconscious bodies of his men that were strewn across the floor. It unnerved him that the spirit was stronger than his own men and he planned to do more training exercises when they healed and Videl came back from the city. If the spirit ever attacked again, with a little of his 'special training' and Videl's one hit death punch, they would be ready...

Get Valente to heal the people in the hallway. And for fuck's sake get them out of the hall. He texted Ampellio, not bothering to seek him out in the castle. He reached Vencentio's door and opened it slowly, not even stopping to knock, and saw him asleep in his bed. A soft smile graced his lips and he silently closed the door behind him, leaving the vampire to his rest.

Now, next problem.

He took one more lasting look at his unconscious men before heading to his brother's office.

VALENTE
"Well, aren't you just a burst of sunshine," Valente huffed, frustrated over this human's pessimism. Sure, the chance of him dying in this fortress of vampires was high, especially because of the blood running through his veins, and vampires, y'know, DRANK that blood, but it wasn't like Valente was going to let him die! Having that spirit on the loose was his worst nightmare and he was determined to do everything in his power to keep that from happening. Even if it meant he would have to be Adrien's guard dog the whole time. " Of course not! I just told you that we're best friends now, so how can I let my best friend die?" He smiled, but his whole demeanor changed in an instant due to Adrien's next question. "I....Er..." He was wary about telling others that he was a wizard due to the Wizard Council breathing down his neck. There was no telling who they had sent out to search for him and who those people talked to and who Adrien had met before coming here. There was no evidence that Adrien knew any other wizards, or even knew about wizards at all, but it was better safe than sorry though.

" I'm a human, just like you. Just a simple, plain human, yep. I dabble in light magic here and there, hence the creepy woman hanging around you, but other than that, completely normal!..Oh look, Marcellina!" He called out enthusiastically as she approached, eager to change the subject away from himself. " This is Adrien, he's joining the family as of today! It's kind of...a special case," He laughed nervously, trying to signal to Marcellina with weird hand gestures and facial expressions to not mention that he was a wizard. The poor wizard was forever paranoid about his uncle finding him and dragging him back to Wiz, where he would most likely be executed....or given over to the demon clan. All of Protettore's men had been instructed to never mention Valente to anyone, just as precautions; even Protettore's uncles, who didn't even like him, kept his existence a secret for the safety of everyone else. And sure...he would tell Adrien one day, but he figured the poor kid had been through enough already.

"Ughh, that spirit is the bane of my existence, I swear to Oz." He shook his head dramatically, fresh tears welling up in his eyes. " Why was I cursed with such a beautiful face? Why, oh why?? Damn my beautiful genetics!" A single, shining tear slipped down his cheek.

AMPELLIO
It was only by chance that Ampellio had been passing by the wizard when he got Protettore's text. As Valente spoke with Marcellina, he soundlessly approached them, stopping right by the human. " Ah, Marcy, Lenti," He greeted them, using the same strange nicknames he had made up since their first meeting. " Adrien," He nodded to the human. How he knew the human's name...? Well, that was a mystery. " Here, I have your lucky items for today." He reached into his plastic bag, exactly identical to the one he had given Ryo--and when had that gotten there?!--and pulled out a paper talismen. " This is for you Lenti. I got it off an exorcist. It's special and only works once, so use it wisely. And Marcy, this is for you. They say that goats blood is an ideal gift for beautiful ladies. Also, it comes in handy for Satanic rituals, though if you were to summon Lucifer, I suggest your own blood instead," He calmly side-eyed Valente, who was already crying behind Adrien.

" And for you Adrien, here," he pulled out a book--and where did that come from?? the bag didn't even look strong enough to carry all those items! and where had his sandwhich gone??!--and offered it to the human. " If books helped keep Belle entertained in the castle, then I hope they do the same for you." In the distance, Valente sobbed loudly, but Ampellio paid no mind. As suddenly as it came, the bag was gone and was replaced with his cell phone, showing them Protettore's text, " The Boss wants you to heal the people in the hallway Valente. Marcy, you and Adri can assist him in taking them to the medical room. I hope you enjoy your gifts and always praise your lucky stars for another day of gracious life. Amen." With that, he continued down the hallway. He had to prepare the rest of the fortress for the arrival of Jecht and Trixxtal, and a mystery third guest.

Behind him he could hear someone telling Valente to please stop crying.

ANASTASIO
Truthfully, when he imagined joining the mafia, Anastasio pictured guns an action, illegal drug smuggling and assassinations...not desks and paperwork. It wasn't all bad, since he had Izel for company and he got to see his brother everyday, but there were times when he got bored. Just like now as he stared down a giant stack of papers that he had to order alaphabetically, as well as degree of importance. He let out a sigh and began at the top, until he heard Izel yelling down the hall. He quickly sprinted to the door and opened it, poking his head out to see Izel running towards him, salt in hand. " I told you this wasn't necessary Izel, my brother probably fixed it already. Afterall, Mister Mancini is on his side and I've heard he can do anything!" His eyes sparkled in admiration, his hands clasped together." But I'll help you setting up the ritual if it'll help you feel better."

RYOICHI
"Yes," Ryoichi sat down at the table, throwing the hotpocket over to Oliver. It was still in it's packaging so he didn't care if it hit the ground or not. Infact, he wasn't entirely sure he wanted to eat it...but then Ampellio's face filtered through his mind, making him shiver. He began to twiddle his fingers as he waited for the food to heat up until he remembered Oliver was in the room, " Hey, my grandparents are coming over, so make this place look good, okay? They were pirates once, but they still like this place to be cleaned," He commented, flicking a piece of left over food off the table. Strangely, for vampires, they sure did eat human food alot....
