First of all, thank you so much for clicking here. This is an 18+ only rp, so if you're underaged, please move on. Nothing personal, but this will contain mature sexual themes and rules are rules. Now for those of you still interested, this will hopefully have a balance of story vs smut. I'm still getting used to the PM system here, but it looks like it'd work well, and as we won't be fading to black for any adult scenes, we'll have to use that. I'd also like any applicants to be capable of putting out at least two paragraphs of text in each IC post, and try to uphold a certain standard of spelling and grammar. For the sake of neatness we will also be splitting the IC and OOC posts into separate threads. That's all pretty reasonable, right?
A Summer at Camp Amber Lake

Many years ago, the old Amber Lake Camping Grounds, nestled in the mountains of Japan, were shut down. Many Locals were saddened by the news as the amber glow on the water at sunset, for with the lake was named, had made the camp a beautiful and popular vacation spot. Eventually a woman named Kinako Sakamoto bought the land where the old camp had been, reopening it as a summer camp. Since then Camp Amber Lake has become quite popular for youngsters seek somewhere to spend their summers. Kinako has recently gotten up there in years, and is forced to entrust more and more work to the young loyal Counselors who work for her each summer. This Summer however, to compensate for the growing workload, Kinako has decided to hire an additional Counselor.

Bio: Izumi is the granddaughter of Kinako Sakamoto. She's a well mannered, studious young lady. Her serious attitude can occasionally put others off, but she carries a clear passion for the Camp and wishes nothing more than to see it's continued success. Her head for administration duties has lead her to adopting the role of de facto Head Counselor and acting manager, sharing much of the workload of running the camp with her grandmother.

Bio: A bit of rock'n'roll lover when she was in school. Kasumi was forced to take a summer job at Camp Amber Lake to support her musical aspirations. Sadly she hasn't had much luck in that regard, but she retains her love of music and enjoys trying to pass on that passion to the children she works with. Since she began working at Camp Amber Lake, she's come to consider her fellow Counselors a second family, a sentiment that the others share.

Bio: A predominantly quiet girl, Ryo's talent for arts and crafts has made her the primary Counselor for leading such activities. While on the surface she can see a bit apathetic towards the world around her, emotionless even, she is in fact extremely perceptive and caring of those she considers her friends.

Bio: Ever the sport lover, Tomiko, an Amber Lake local, began working summers at the camp when she was still in school. At first it was simply a way to make a bit of extra money, but not only did she find herself enjoying her time there, but she also developed a bit of a crush on one of her fellow Counselors. This has kept her coming back year after year, even after graduating. Unfortunately, despite her usual confidence and energy, she's inexperienced when it comes to relationships and surprisingly shy about it.

Bio: While every Counselor at Camp Amber Lake is trained in first aid, for more serious injuries or illnesses, the Camp employs a Doctor. Divorced, childless and seeking to get away from things, Akiko accepted the position of camp doctor a few years ago, and ended up moving into the Amber Lake area full time when she found herself enjoying the country atmosphere.

Minor Characters
Kinako Sakamoto: The elderly manager of Camp Amber Lake, finding herself with less and less energy as of late, Kinako is rarely seen participating in camp activities. Instead she prefers to remain near the administration building. That said, sh remains the picture of the perfect loving grandmother, always taking time to smile or offer a few kind words to every child or beloved Counselor she passes. She is a symbol of comfort and compassion at the camp.

The Sergeant: True name unknown to everyone but Kinako herself, this gruff bearded man is the Camp's Quartermaster, part cook, part handyman, part groundskeeper. He's a scarred and quiet figure, and tends to be rather intimidating, especially to the children. Having apparently been a member of the armed forces in the past, he insists that everyone refer to him by his former rank.

Places of Interest

Home of the Campers and Counselors whilst they reside at Camp Amber Lake, each cabin holds two cots, cabinets, a closet space, and a table, allowing those residing there for the summer just enough space to personalise their shared space. In the center of the cabin area lies the Mess Hall, where the Sergeant serves meals and campers take part in any indoor camp activities. Nearby one can find the showers and toilets, sadly, due to limited resources, only one set of showers is available, and times are set aside in the morning for their use by male campers, female campers, and Counselors.

The beautiful Amber Lake, located within easy walking distance of the Camp proper. Campers can enjoy such activities as swimming, fishing and boating on the pristine blue waters. Every evening, as the sun sets, the light hits the water prefectly from the west, resulting in the most beautiful amber glow on the water, for which the Lake was named.

An area of the camp that most campers rarely see. It's a domain of paperwork. An office like any other. There really isn't much more to say.

On the far side of Amber Lake, where the forest grows into thick bog, lie the rotting ruins of the former Amber Lake Camping Grounds,
 now nothing but a few dilapidated cabins and half sunken buildings. The area around the old camp grounds are strictly off limits to campers, and even the counselors will not go near the spot, due to the dangerous footing.
