So has anyone else ever spent several hours on an RP, reviewed it, posted it, and then thought “This is garbage.”?

Once my drawing and sketching abilities improve a little more, I intend to start incorporating my own art into future RP’s of mine.

Thomas made a forward motion, but Liam was quicker. He leapt forward, eyes burning with hate, extending his knife-hand outward as he sailed through the air. Thomas jumped backward from the lunging strike of Liam's blade, then again as Liam swiped horizontally at his face, the blade barely missing. Aleera immediately surged forward, taking advantage of Liam's opening and tackling him to the balcony floor with a beastly snarl.

While Thomas rushed forward, Dalton stepped back into Alice, extending his arms behind him and lightly wrapping them around Alice.
"I'll protect you." he assured her.

Aleera was straddled atop Liam, she had Liam's right hand gripped in both her own hands, trying to wrench the knife away from him. Both grunted and snarled in struggle as Thomas closed in. It was then that Liam channeled his Vampiric strength into his left arm, and thrust a hard punch directly into Aleera's nose, causing blood to spray across her face and onto Liam's white coat sleeve. Aleera gave a short cry, and Liam took advantage of her stunned demeanor to jerk his right hand from her and plunge the blade deeply into her left forearm, resulting in another gush of blood and a cry from Aleera. Liam writhed himself backward and then kicked Aleera hard and sent her tumbling backward past Thomas, her black dress flailing widely as she rolled across the floor. Thomas started to look back to Aleera, but caught himself as Liam leapt toward him, the now bloody blade raised high. Thomas caught Liam's right wrist in the air, while Liam caught Thomas's left wrist as he attempted to take his now revealed claws across Liam's face. The two men stood grunting and snorting as they pushed and twisted against one another.

Aleera slowly stood from the floor, her face and left forearm, now exposed from the ripped sleeve, were covered in her blood. She winced intensely as she tightly grabbed her left forearm, blood now oozing across her right hand.

Hello, Welcome, and Thank You for your Time!

This is a concept for a Low-Fantasy Roleplay I've had in mind for a short while now. It is a story of greed, treachery, vengeance, and dishonor. It tells the story of a young princess, future Queen of the Kingdom of Alvion, whose whole world is turned upside down and her birthright stolen away by her evil aunt, and how this forsaken princess cuts a bloody swathe across Alvion as she looks to reclaim what is rightfully hers and take revenge against her aunt, the Serpent Queen of Alvion. This will be a very dark and morbid story, a tale of vengeance by blood, and redemption at the point of a blade. Though it will have it's high points of morality and empathy, for the most part this will be a very brooding Dark Fantasy RP.

Read below for further details.

PREMISE

The primary protagonist, or main character of this RP, is the princess, whom my partner will role as. The princesses' father, King William Alderton of the Alderton bloodline, rules the Kingdom of Alvion from within the royal capital of Dalhorst. A widowed King, his only remaining family is his daughter, his sister Malva, and his young nephew Malcolm.

When King William's wife died in childbirth, instead of resenting his daughter, he named her that day as the rightful heir to the throne on his death, much to the bitterness of his sister Malva and her husband Ambrose, who died several years later after the birth of Malcolm. Since her birth, King William as raised his daughter as any King and any father should. He saw that she was tutored and highly educated, well mannered and properly tempered, and taught the duties and traditions of courtship and princesses. He showered her with love and gifts, at times at the behest of his advisors and the castle servants, not wanting the princess to be overly-entitled and spoiled, which she never was.

The storyline begins at a tournament. The King, the princess, Malva, and her son Malcolm are watching a jousting tournament on the day of the Spring Season Festival, a yearly festival held on the first day of Spring. Amidst the events, the King is poisoned by way of wine and dies within minutes right in front of his daughter.

After the King's funeral, the question of succession comes up. The court declares the princess to be the rightful heir, declared so by the King. Malva however argues the princess to be too young (she is aged between 13-16) and states that she must take the title of Queen of Alvion. Many of the nobles support Malva, as do many amongst the common-folk, believing such a young girl to be unfit for the title of Queen and easy to manipulate.

In the end, despite the King's wishes, Malva becomes Queen of Alvion with the help of her supporters, as well as additionally gained support via bribery and blackmail.

On the day of her coronation, an assassin makes an attempt on Malva's life, though he fails and escapes. Evidence is found in the princess's chamber (a forged dossier planted by Malva) that falsely implicates the princess in plotting to have Malva assassinated. The princess is arrested, tried unfairly, and jailed.

The story then basically time skips up to the princesses twentieth birthday. Malva arranged for the princess to be executed when she turns twenty, as her supporters stated it unwise for Malva to have a child executed, the former heir to the throne no less, immediately after her coronation as Queen, a title many believed she had wrongfully taken. Basically, for these past 7-4 years (character age dependent) the princess had rotted in the dungeons of Proud Spire Castle, a prisoner in her own home at the doings of her power hungry aunt.

Basically, on the day of her execution, the princess is freed by unknown allies whom soon reveal themselves to her, and promise to restore her to the throne as the rightful heir to Alvion. A feat this young princess will carry out with a bloody vengeance.

CLOSURE

So then, I require a female partner to role as our unfortunate princess. I require someone who isn't squeamish or hesitant towards violence and negative character transformation. Someone who isn't bothered or conflicted by a pampered little princess becoming a vengeful, vindictive harpy. This RP won't be built solely upon violence and revenge, as I said far above it will hold other elements as well; innocence, bliss, romance, drama, and ect.

So, I await eagerly and hope to hear from someone, as I'm rather self-hyped about getting into this!
EPISODE 5: NEW FRIENDS, OLD FIENDS

_______________________________________________________________________

Grim.

This was the best word for the scene at hand.
There he stood; Liam Enduro. The source of all of Alice Lynch's disaster and grief. The one who had effectively ended her life as a fragile, naive, and innocent mortal, and had forever cursed her as a Vampire, a creature of the night who feasts on the blood of mortal-kind and holds power beyond human belief, and must forever live inter shadows. Unseen, unwelcome, and forever forgotten.

Liam stood now before Alice and her three "companions", her mutual friend with Liza, the laid back and rather carefree Dalton, the snowy haired Vampire Aleera, and her dark-haired companion Thomas, a rather dry man, also a Vampire.
The three of them stood in rather alert positions, feet parted, backs slightly arched, and arms at the ready. Before them lay their discarded masquerade masks, casually strewn on the concrete balcony floor.
Thomas and Aleera's eyes burned a deadly red, while Dalton's shimmered a unique golden-yellow.

Liam was in a crouched, rather primal position, his eyes an evil crimson, his nose and cheeks wrinkled like a snarling animals, white fangs glimmering in the night.

From where he stood by Aleera, Thomas spoke,"You haven't a chance, there's nowhere to run, and your outnumbered."

"Alice," Dalton said lowly without turning,"you stay right behind me." His udually casual tome of voice now a chillingly gruff rumble.

Liam hissed and, with a dramatic, flickering twirl of his right wrist, revealed an eloquent yet deadly looking knife now gripped in his frosty pale hand. The blade was about eight inches long, sharply tipped, slim, and double-edged. The handle was a milky polished wood with ornamental black swirling designs and symbols.

Liam responded to Thomas harshly,"You will regret this, for your folly will now cost you your lives. All of you."

@Apocalypse

I'm not well and truly familiar with Air and Earth Dragons.
I'll try and read up on them tomorrow.
I'm not familiar with Dark Dragons either, though I love that concept.

I suggest that we concrete Fire and Ice Dragons, consider Water Dragons, and I'll read upon the other three (Air, Earth, and Darkness) tomorrow.

Perhaps we could spiff up Dark and Light Dragons as primarily magic reliant. What do you think? They could be the masters of magic and the two castes of Elders while the elemental based Dragons are lessers.
Thank for your input!

I do like the idea of a coming of age quest, a ritualistic deed for young dragons to prove their mettle. I'll have to start thinking of something for that.

Regarding number two, I was thinking Orcs, since humans and dragons are so cliché and Elves versus dragons has been done before. (Inheritance)
I feel like Orcs would be a fine foe, regarding their fearlessness and battle and drive for war and military conquest.

In terms of castes, I actually was thinking of four separate "classes"; Fire Dragons, your standard "run of the mill" dragon, Ice Dragons from the northern mountains, solid white or gray only they would be, Water Dragons, which are basically overgrown sea serpents with wings, but no fire or ice breath, and finally, Elder Dragons, which would just be huger and more armored and brawny than normal fire dragons.

As for the magic idea, sounds like it could work yes.

As for the clan ordeal, of Prides as they will be called, that also sounds fair.

As for help, I would gladly take you on as my Co-GM if you'd like.

Bump
If not tomorrow then I suggest that Friday we continue @LadyRunic.

Unless you wish to wait a little longer, which is alright by me.

So, I have developed the concept of what you might call a "dragon land" Roleplay. This Roleplay as you can imagine is centered around a fantasy land untouched by humankind. Neither Humans, Orcs, Elves, nor any humanoid race has set foot on this land, and it has been dominated and ruled by dragons for centuries.

Players will of course create their own dragon, basing the creation off of detailed information on dragons which I will provide.

There are however issues and obvious questions that I am facing with this idea, which is where I ask for input and helpful suggestions, possibly debate.

Some of such issues and questions are as follows;
-What would be the ultimate plot or purpose behind the Roleplay? It would need some kind of ultimate plot element or diverse story arcs, because after a while people would get bored just fighting dragons and hunting deer.

-Should I introduce humanoids at some immediate point in the IC? A war or any form of interaction between, say, dragons and Orcs or dragons and humans might be a nice story arc.

-Should the dragons be magical or magical capable, or would this be rather "godmoddish"? (Although magic dragons does sound cool.)

-Should all dragons more or less be the same regarding power and overall potential? Should there be different classes and castes of dragons like in The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim?

-Should their be some kind of hierarchy or "lordship" amongst the dragons, such as an Elder or Ethereal dragon, or should they be more beastly, living in "herds"(Prides) and clans?

These are the most immediate issues that I face in creating this Roleplay, and I will need input and helpful advice and suggestions before I can proceed. I ask only for positive advice and feedback and constructive criticism, not an angry rant.

THE LAND OF ELDENÍR

THE DRAGONS
No big deal. I was just wondering.

I will spoiler to you that Dalton is a werewolf, not a Vampire. So the penthouse fight will be rather hairy.

Would Alice be open later on to learning swordsmanship?
