The adoption process is a nightmare, tho, and efforts to clean it up should be taken.

I know a lot of pro-life people who have adopted, even if they had children of their own.

Sunja-ya, a woman’s life is endless work and suffering. There is suffering and then more suffering. It’s better to expect it, you know. You’re becoming a woman now, so you should be told this. For a woman, the man you marry will determine the quality of your life completely. A good man is a decent life, and a bad man is a cursed life—but no matter what, always expect suffering, and just keep working hard. No one will take care of a poor woman—just ourselves.

Ever since I was a child, I wanted to be a writer. But not anymore. Now, I’m a housewife. Now, I realize full well that I’m not cut out to be a writer. I’m sure of it. I would exhaust all my ideas in a single work. I would end up writing about a woman whose life, both past and present, is just like mind. In Japanese context, that would make it an I-novel, I suppose. But the genre wouldn't matter. A novel featuring a woman just like me would appear on the bookstore shelves, and then someone would buy it. That reader would point to me and say: See, she’s written a novel about herself.

Even if I could write a book worthy of stirring people’s emotions, something that might bring them to tears, that wouldn’t change the fact that I’m still just an ordinary, mediocre person.

Sometimes, we hear a song, and a quote from the song grabs onto us, even if it’s for a moment, and grants us a better understanding of how we relate to the world around us. However, songs are not the only vessels with this magical power. Books can also make the same powerful impact.

So, without further ado: here is a place to post some quotes from books you have read and would like to share. Be sure to cite the name(s) and author(s) of the book(s). ☺️
She feels around the collar of her jumpsuit. The familiarity tries to fish for some memories of what was happening, but nothing came forward. Her mind continued to be a vast ocean of distant memories she wasn’t sure how to reach.

Her eyes looked around the room, again. Maybe she should try opening the other pods. There were probably people, like her inside of them. Her eyes canned the lockers for a moment before she moved towards the closest a pod and studies it’s outside. (Action: Move & Examine)
