Khosin laughed a little at Tonka’s words, guessing that the Krogan had heard the tail end of their conversation, his laughter only increasing at the banter between Vellios and Tonka. He forced his laughter to stop and to calm himself down as Tanya began speaking. He had to agree on some of the points that she made, particularly the one on how things were proceeding rather well up to that point. “Guess we do work rather well together.” He thought with a certain amount of amusement, after all the group continued to amaze him in it’s diversity; even if it sometimes brought uncomfortable situations, such as finding that Iosif was a former slave at Aratoht.
He listened as Tanya said that they would split up between, with the Technical going along the right fork as it was piloted by her and Iosif. He thought for a few seconds on what to do but quickly decided to follow the vehicle down the right fork “Wait, going down the right fork as well.” He told to Dex as she nodded towards the truck, following behind her as she jogged after the truck.
He tensed when he heard the sound of two machine guns firing into the vehicle “Damnit, that vehicle won’t last too long under that kind of fire.” He thought and was about to ask the rest what they should do when he noticed that both Dex and Drono were gone, barely catching a glimpse of the shimmer that their tactical cloaks gave as they walked towards the emplaced MGs “Well, good luck with that.” He muttered under his breath, hoping that whatever they were planning succeeded. He was pleasantly surprised when the Machine guns stopped firing but felt himself tensing up slightly as he started picking up the sounds of an all too brief confrontation.
Seconds seemed to stretch into minutes when he heard Dex speaking into the group's general comms, followed by Drono shortly after that, but felt himself shifting uncomfortably as Dex mentioned going behind enemy lines. They would only find whatever slaves that Three-Eyed Zallack’s group kept captive and would probably have little to no chance of doing any damage, at least not without hurting or killing a few slaves, but Khosin thought best of mentioning that.
He took in the air of the cramped tunnel, shivering slightly as old memories threatened to surface in his mind. The place in which they were was all too familiar to Khosin and, sometimes, he felt like past and present blurred together, having to shake his head more than once to keep his focus on the mission. “There will be item for regrets latter, not now.” He admonished himself, turning his attention as Serena -the human that had come with Vellios- voiced the question on whether or not they should continue to go down the right tunnel, mentioning her capabilities afterwards.
“I too have a drone and could help with doing some repair to the truck I guess, though I am no expert by any means.” Said Khosin, clearing his throat slightly to bring attention to himself “Otherwise I could keep watch or help by drawing fire away from the vehicle in case we ran into any more enemies.”
