A Hidden Report

After making sure Origami is keeping her students distracted by beginning the mission, Tora moved a bit further away. Being informed by her operative that most Kiri are currently somewhere else made it clear that she was most likely safe to use that technique, while making it seem as if she was merely ensuring the area around her students was safe from any rouge shinobi. What her students didn't know is that the whole part about rouge shinobi was completely made up, to give herself a reason to become seperate from the others while Origami looked over them. After a bit of running away, she stopped on a tree branch and looked around. After a few moments, she closed her eyes and focused on the Dragon seal that was hidden beneath the very weird looking tattoo "Zakito, I have a report to give you. Please reply." She did not speak out loud, but in her mind. She knew the seal would send the message to him, regardless of how far away they might be.

There was a brief silence before she would hear a voice responding back. ''I am all ears.'' Zakito answered back.

Hearing his voice, Tora nodded "It has been about a year since I last gave you a report, and now I have several things to inform you. During the past year of being under Rika, I have noticed she is managing to keep a rather stable appearance in front of the whole village and even raising a son. I am aware, however, that she is still keeping a rather large eye on any previous agents we had in Kiri, which is why currently, I only have a single one under me, and I am managing to keep myself and the other agent under the radar. We also have a way to ensure Rika will not interfere with our activity, at the case she does find out." She told him, and then thought about what will be the next thing she will inform him.

"Earlier today, according to the knowledge of my agent, Rika had gathered many ANBU agents and left the village. She also told me that she managed to see they were heading towards the docks, but not if they reached there. I suspect, and the other agent agrees with me, that something big is going on, and Rika is trying to cover it by only using ANBU agents, the shinobi no one will notice are gone. I do not know why she would need so many ANBU agents." Tora decided to inform him of that fact first, knowing this was the more important thing on the table.

There was yet another brief moment of silence before the stern voice responded again. ''Make a shadow clone. It is time for a meeting.'' Judging by the sound, it was a clear order that wouldn't take a no for an answer.

Nodding once more, Tora opened her eyes and did the shadow clone jutsu, and an instant later a clone stood next to her. She gave a nod to the clone before heading away, and the clone bit her finger and formed several handseals before pressing her hand against the branch. The familiar dark sphere formed around her and soon enough the clone was gone, and the real Tora was heading back in the direction of her students, waiting to hear the results of the meeting.

Gathering an opinion on the genins!

Observing how the responsibility of telling her how they planned to take care of the mission was tossed between each other made it clear that they were not properly ready yet. Origami finished making her small origami pieces and then looked at the three of them "You three need to understand that letting one of you speak is already a sign of bad teamwork. By being a team, you should've each explained to me how the mission was going to go, but decided to leave one of you to do it. You should know from now on that each of you should explain your own role, seeing you were each assigned that role for a reason." She said with her blank tone and looked at all three of them with empty eyes.

Looking to the side, she blinked "It appears your sensei is nearly back." She said, and indeed, a couple of moments afterwards Tora landed next to Origami and looked at her team and friend, before looking at Kumoga "Alright, everything is clear. Its time to start the plan and finish it as soon as we can. Naoto, Takeshi and Origami, set up a quick makeshift spot for interrogation here. We will be here within five minutes. Kumoga, come with me." She said with a rather serious tone, but her face still held a smile. After waiting a moment for Kumoga to be set to go, Tora started moving away from the area.

Origami, just before Kumoga would leave, tossed a small origami spider onto her shoulder. The spider would grab a hold of her shoulder "This is so I can keep track of you." She said, and then tossed out of her hands the other two origami creations, being a bird that landed on Naoto's shoulder and a paper snake that moved to warp itself around Takeshi's arm, but not put any real pressure on the arm "Those will become regular paper once we are done. For now, do not try and take those off. Let us begin setting things up." She said and started to look around "Find as many sturdy branches as you can, both of you. We will create a small makeshift chair that can be easily broken." Origami said and looked at the two, hoping that they will not have a problem with this task.

Looking at everything that was going on, Riye now wondered if doing as her mentor told her was the right choice. Obviously he had his reason to be concerned over her and wanted her to be with someone who could look over her, but she couldn't but be curious if this was the nature of all guilds. She folded the job she decided to take and placed it in her pocket before noticing the arrival of a girl who the guy from before went and approached with a rather 'cool' kind of attitude, which obviously wasn't going to work for him.

Deciding that not introducing herself would be rude, she went and approached the girl, who now stood next to the man "Hey there! I'm Riye, and I understood you are his teammate. You know he offered me to go on a job with you two? I hope you don't mind me saying, but while I'm not used to working with more than one person, and even prefer working only in a duo, I would like to give it a try if you are willing to. I didn't accept his offer at the time because of the way he introduced himself and I didn't think he should make the choice on his own." Riye said and then looked at Lazarus "The name is Laxus, right? or maybe Lyrus..." She said and put a finger on her mouth, trying to remember his name.

After Yoshikuni heard the new girl being introduced, she felt like saying something when suddenly the entire class became rather excited about the new girl. Deciding that the humans were very stupid at sometimes, Yoshikuni merely smiled at the new girl who introduced herself. She didn't feel the need to do the same, as she felt her voice would not be heard under all the noise, and figured that if the girl wished to do so, then she could always approach her later on.

Slightly leaning back in her chair, Yoshikuni hoped all the noise would calm down soon enough, though she realised that as long as the people remained the way they are, then the current situation isnt likely to change soon. Its not like it irritated her too much, as it was a pleasant change in her eyes to see everyone so lively, its more that she wished that they would have better reasons to be like that rather than be excited over a new girl in their class.

Chou was still somewhat tired as the new girl, Karen Kuromori, introduced herself. She closed her eyes and counted to three, and indeed, the wild excitement over the new girl had come quickly. She herself decided that it would be rude to not introduce herself, so she stood up, but after thinking about it for another moment, she realised that she wasn't capable of introducing herself.

Looking around, she saw a few other students that also stood up from excitement, so Chou decided to sit back down, figuring that once Karen decides to meet all the people in her class properly then she will be approached by her. It certainly looked like Karen had an outgoing personality from her initial introduction. She just kept looking around a few more moments before moving to draw random things in her notebook, waiting for the excitement to be over.

Summary:
Eiji trains Kuni for the upcoming Chuunin Exams by sparring with her.
*Note: This takes place about a week before the exams and does not interfere with the present actions of Eiji Emiya.

Kuni Trains! Part 2

Closing her eyes the moment after she saw Eiji close his own eyes, she waited for a second for the tag to stop working before opening her eyes and looking at what Eiji was doing. He appeared to be taking extra defensive measures against anything that might be coming at him from any side. Which meant he was clear open for her. She formed a few seals once more and touched the ground, this time make the ground beneath Eiji to lower itself until he was complete gone from sight, and then forming the seals again to make the earth on Eiji's left side come at him, intending to crush him in a manner that will simply make him unable to move, but not seriously damage him. Then she kept touching the ground and a moment later she vanished into it, holding out a kunai and heading in Eiji's direction at the case he managed to get out.

Of course the only possible action with him defending like that was for Kuni to attack from below. Eiji was very much aware of this. And he was ready for it. He could open his eyes again a bit more and as soon as the earth shifted he dove with it, hiding in the earth once more. The poi had hit the earth twice. In the ground Eiji formed a seal, before immediately moving upwards again. Before he could reach the surface however Kuni was there. He smiled slightly and then blew himself up, taking chucks of the ground with him, the real Eiji heading the other way.

Just barely managing to stay in the ground as the explosive clone blew himself, Kuni looked at her arm and saw it was slightly burned. It wasn't serious or even bleeding, but it meant to her that she needed to be more cautious. Looking around, she spotted Eiji moving up towards the surface, so she put the kunai away and started heading up as well, knowing he could see her and she couldn't waste any time, she formed a few seals, holding the last one until she was just about to pop above ground and then released the seal. While the real Kuni appeared above ground, a clone stayed beneath the ground, waiting for a signal.

Even though he was an earth user Eiji preferred to be above ground then in it. Besides explosions looked way less... explosive while underground. As he emerged he blinked against the light of the sun even though it was hidden behind some drabby rain clouds. Not far behind him Kuni popped up from the ground. He could see the burn on her arm and wondered if it should make him worried. Then he decided that would not be fair. She could handle herself and he would never kill her anyway. He had enough control for that. He stretches his arms for a moment and turned back to his student. The poi had already come loose from his wrists. They hit the earth a couple of times.

Putting her hand in her pouch, Kuni smiled for a moment before taking out three kunai and throwing them at Eiji's direction and then taking out another kunai and getting ready for whatever Eiji might send in her direction, while the clone moved to be directly below Eiji, with an explosive tag in her hand, slowly bringing her hand up behind him and then leaving the tag above ground before doing the seal to activate it and quickly moving away from the area, to avoid being caught in the explosion.

Still more kunai. Whatever was she going to acomplish with that really. Eiji didn't know, but almost lazy deflected the projectiles, his eyes still focused on her. But then something changed. As Kuni might have noticed Eiji's poi had been hitting the ground quite often now, especially in the area around him. He himself was perfectly aware where the little mines were seeing as he had created them and they were linked to his chakra. When she raised her hand however above the ground she came to close and triggered one of the make shift bombs burried in the rubble. Before Kuni could even detonate her own bomb Eiji's already went off, alerting him on time so that he could jump away, using the poi as a shield against the rubble. "Huh..." He said not sounding very intelligent. "Well that created a blast. You are going to blow up your sensei who uses explosives?"

As soon as the explosion from Eiji's mine went off and made him move, and Kuni knew her clone was most likely gone, she charged towards him, forming seals on the way, but holding the last one until she was close to him. She released the seal and an Earth hand would appear from Eiji's side, moving towards him with great speed while Kuni took out a kunai and threw it from the close range at him, figuring she could try and make it so he needs to defend from both attacks before jumping, thinking that they are no longer where the mines were planted, and trying to land a kick at him from above.

What Kuni didn't seem to get was that projectiles, especially those of a not that high technique, simply didn't work. Eiji seperated his hands, creating two shields in stead of the one that had stopped the most of the explosion. On one side he deflected the kunai, on the other side the earth hand was met with a metal resistance. Neither of the two came in contact with him. His eyes never left Kuni. Then there was Kuni above him. It was a good idea to distract his poi, but it didn't mean that he couldn't use his hands or more. Because she came from above she gave him a little moment to react. A moment he used to simply step backwards and avoid the first blow. Yet it got him close to her and he used the poi on his right hand to lash out to her, aiming to ensnare her with the weapon.

Seeing Eiji step backwards made her realise that it nearly worked, but she needed something to block any possible movements to the sides. Deciding it wasn't safe to wait and see what he might try to do, she formed 4 seals which ended with Monkey, making a defensive clone be ensnared by the poi and attempt to release herself for a moment before it crumbled into smaller rocks. Slightly breathing, Kuni realised that she needed to go easier on how she used her jutsus, as well as her vision became slightly blurry, due to the effects of the improved seal. Rubbing her eyes for a moment, she looked in the direction of Eiji. She had reappeared not far from him, but far enough to let her think about something. Then it came to her mind. Deciding that she won't even need to try and use a jutsu, she took out three more kunai, but instead of throwing it directly at Eiji, she threw them at the ground around him, wondering if he had previously hit the spot with his poi.

It didn't quite work, but Eiji knew that Kuni was burning to her chakra, which had always been his goal. It was all about outlasting your opponent when you fought a defensive war. He wondered how much chakra she had left as he observed her rubbing her eyes. He didn't say anything. This time he was not going to call it quits when he thought she was done. She would have to tell him that herself. Next his eyes went to the kunai that had appeared before him in the ground. He raised his eyesbrows slightly as nothing happened. Was she hoping that she could blow up the mines that lay scattered around the places where he had been walking and jumping? She would have to observe then and look well and then throw well. Could be a nice excersize, he thought suddenly as he slowed down his poi. "So?" He asked as the poi came to a halt and rested along side his body.

Letting out a small frustation noise, she formed a seal but then stopped. She felt somewhat dizzy and understood that it would take a bit to get over it. Sighing, Kuni sat down on the ground "I wanted to keep sparring with you, but whatever that Meisa woman did to my seal is bothering me now. I don't see too clearly." She said and rubbed her eyes once more "My next move was to try and use the fact you stopped moving the poi and get an earth hand to appear from right below you and grab you while I threw a blinding tag, to try and see if I can make you be blinded again for a moment and then... I'm not sure. I didn't plan three steps ahead." She said and then looked at where Eiji stood, still seeing him with blurry vision.

As soon as Kuni lowered her hands and called out to stop the fight Eiji flicked his wrists and let his weapons wrap around him before quickly walking over to his student. He kneeled down before her, a slight frown of worry spread over his face. This alteration of the seal was troubling him slightly. If it was making Kuni incapable of functioning as a shinobi then it was a problem. "Steady now," he said. "I'd say you did well. You understood clearly what my weakpoints were and were capable of thinking of attacks that made me split my attention, that made me loose my footing."

"Glad to hear so. My main aim was to try and make you move as much as possible. I figured that if I could do that, then your focus will already be somewhat lessened, seeing you would need to also ensure that you are not moving to anywhere dangerous. But I guess I didn't quite get to do that part too well." Kuni said and looked down at the ground. After rubbing her eyes a bit and blinking a few times her vision became clear again. Looking up again, she gave him a smile "You don't look good when you are worried. And don't worry, I'm sure I'll get over this thing eventually, or just get used to it. Hopefully get over it." She said and moved to sit on the ground in front of Eiji "Do you think there is anything else I need to think about while fighting?" She asked and wondered if just finding the weakpoints is enough or not.

"You can't tell me to stop worrying when my most energetic student ever told me to stop the fight." Eiji said, but he spoke it on a light tone. "As for your fighting..." The man decided to screw the fact that the ground was muddy and sat down next to her. He had to do the laundry anyway. "I'd say that your strategies all look very alike. At first your opponent may buy that thinking you stupid for using the same thing twice. But as the fight goes on your opponent might think twice about reacting the same when you pull out the, seemingly, same trick again. He might think something is up, as I did during the fight. Besides that I think you got the basics pretty much down and the only thing you can do then is get experience. Which is a good word." He said the last sentence with a smile.

Nodding, her smile grew bigger as she saw him smile to her "Well then, I guess I'll need to train for the next week. I might ask Mei or Naoko to help me train a bit if they are around. I think they wouldn't mind. But I still want to train with you, obviously. I just want to focus on training on my tactics a bit with you, seeing what you just said. That sounds alright with you?" Kuni asked and her smile grew slightly smaller. She hoped that he wouldn't mind her training with more than him, but she also knew that she now had 2 other teammates and that he also needed to pay attention to them.

"That sounds totally fine. Sounds like excellent plan. Training only with me will only train you in certain aspects anyway since I can not do everything." Eiji said. "Besides, you need some more friends around." He nudged her shoulder. "Now are you coming home with me to see how Sachi is prancing around the room? It is really adorable."

Jumping to her feet and accidently tossing a bit of mud at Eiji's shirt, Kuni's smile grew as big as it could "Of course I'm coming to see that!" She said and only afterwards noticed the muddy shirt "Oops... Sorry, Eiji-sensei. But it looks like now you really need to get a change of clothes." She said in a slightly teasing tone before starting to walk casually towards the gate, wondering if he will try and get her or not for that accident.

"You..." Eiji said pretending to sound threatening. It failed miserably however. "Watch it, or you won't get dinner tonight. And then Sachi will be sad because you aren't there and you don't want to make Sachi sad." Even though his words might sound not as happy Eiji too was wearing a smile on his face. The seal did still trouble him and he would inquire after it, but not now. Now they would just go home.

Stopping on the spot, Kuni looked back towards Eiji with tearing eyes and a frown "You...you....you won't let me see Sache if I hit you with mud again? But... It was an accident!" She said and appeared to start to cry a bit, tears running over her face before her left hand, which was partially hidden behind her back, came to the front with speed and more mud would be heading towards Eiji "That bit of mud, however, was on purpose. I'm gonna get a change of clothes and I'll meet you at home, Eiji-sensei!" She shouted to him before running off, quickly leaving the training field before he could say anything. She knew him too well and she was well aware that while he won't be too pleased about it, he wouldn't leave her outside of his house. Smiling about that fact, she headed towards her apartment, wondering what will Eiji make for dinner.

Kuni Trains! Part 1

Standing at the entrance to the training fields, Kuni looked around. It wasn't like Eiji-sensei to be late, but she assumed that there might've been something with Sachi that made him be delayed, or that he was needed for something that too more time than expected in the Amekage's office or such. Looking down, she placed her hand on her belly. Ever since that Meisa woman had worked on her seal, she had been having a lot more trouble properly talking to Son-Goku. She found that she could only contact him by focusing a lot, and only when she was completely alone. Wishing it wouldn't be like this for a long time, she raised her look and wondered how long will she need to wait for Eiji.

She would only have to wait for six more minutes. Eiji had indeed been running late, not because of Sachi or any duty work, but simply because he had slept in. He felt slightly stupid for that, but he didn't get much sleep overall so sometimes he just had to make up for it, making it indirectly Sachi's fault. He didn't want to blame his daughter though. As he arrived at the field he pushed his cap away from his head and walked over to Kuni who was already waiting for him. "You here al ready. You are really getting the word "early" down. Which is good. Good word." He spoke to her as gave her a smile.

"I didn't get the word early. I was here on time. You were getting to know the word 'late' a bit better, Eiji-sensei." She said and stuck out a tongue towards her sensei and father-figure "I'd ask what made you be late, but I know there are plenty of possibilies. So how about we get to the main thing straight away? I feel a bit impaitent today." Kuni said and gave him a smile while moving to stand across from Eiji. She had never sparred with him before, unless people counted the silly little things, and she was slightly curious to see how she will do against him, but at the same time, she didn't want to hurt Eiji, but she knew that as long as she watched her step carefully, she could ensure he wouldn't be seriously injured.

Eiji pretended to be annoyed. It didn't work. After all, she was right in her own way. He gave her another look and wondered what the beast inside her was thinking of this. Of course, he was aware that the seal had been strengthened and he wasn't so much afraid that Kuni would let the beast go. She wasn't stupid. It was just strange to think that there were now two beings there instead of one. He stuffed his hands in his pockets. "How is your chakra control going?" He asked even though he knew that she wanted to start the fight. She was free to do so, as she probably knew, but Eiji still wanted answers on his questions whether they were fighting or not.

Kuni shrugged "I think its improving, but not sure. Ever since that Meisa woman messed with the seal I've been feeling a bit odd whenever I use a jutsu. Like something I'm not used to is being added. Also felt a bit dizzy from time to time, but I usually manage to get over the dizzyness." She said and then did the seal of confrontation, knowing that was the proper way of beginning a spar.

"I see." Eiji said as he removed his hands from his pockets for just a moment to form the seal as well. Then he put them back and just looked at Kuni. As her teacher he had a pretty good grasp on what she could do and she knew quite a bit of his capabilities. But he doubted that she knew the full extend. There was a reason why he was the teacher and she was the student. Yet, he looked somewhat forward to the day that she would beat him and rise higher. She was now bound to the city after all and he was pretty sure that Kuni wasn't going to just take that. Miss Ichi might think she had her all cornered and Eiji agreed with that, but he also knew Kuni. A grin tugged on the corners of his mouth. "Well then, a spar. A proper one. Don't go to easy now. You need to want to hit me to actually achieve something today."

Nodding, she took out a couple of kunai, one with an explosive tag, and threw them at each of Eiji's sides before starting to form a few seals. Upon finishing to form the seals, an earth hand would raise from the ground behind Eiji and would attempt to block the route behind the man, in an attempt to force him to either go to the sides or in Kuni's directions "I know I need to hit you. But first I-" Kuni stopped talking the moment she realised she nearly gave away what she was trying to do. Giving away the plan to an opponent wouldn't be good for her.

As Kuni moved so did Eiji. It was not like he was just going to stand by and wait for her to attack and hit him. He might not be a very offensive fighter, but he knew how to hold his ground. The kunai came flying, but he didn't want them around. He should be the only to drop the explosions, not she. The two poi lashed out with a flick of his wrist and knocked the kunai away from him. They hit the earth once and then returned close to Eiji's body. Then he waited.

So Eiji just defended against both kunai without moving. So that would be the main challenge for her. Force Eiji to move as much as possible. Looking at the Earth hand behind him, Kuni made it head towards Eiji's legs, but instead of trying to crash into them, she gave the hand the instruction that the moment it was about to hit to switch directions so it would try and hit Eiji's back instead of his legs, figuring Eiji will try and break the Earth hand with his poi and then she might be capable of still sending a few earth shatters in Eiji's direction.

Eiji turned his head slightly, the poi spinning around his body. He took a step to the side so that he twisted his body sideways, meaning his whole side was basically protected from an incoming projectile. The Earth hand was a nice technique, but it was still a projectile that had to get close to hit him. It connected with the weapon and blew apart. Meanwhile Eiji had turned his head back to Kuni, his other hand no longer spinning a poi, and send his own kunai her way.

Seeing Eiji send kunai her way made Kuni jump to the side, not wishing to try and delfect them unless she was in a bad spot. Deciding that staying at the distance won't do her any good, she grabbed a blinding tag and slipped it into her sleeve while still inside the pouch and also took out a kunai. Throwing the kunai in Eiji's direction, she then formed a few seals and as the earth formed around her fist, she used it as cover as slipped the tag into the Earth Fist. She begun charging towards him, and mid way she slipped her hand out of the Earth Fist, making it become a projectile and knowing that the moment Eiji breaks the Earth Fist, he will be blinded by the activation of the blinding tag and she will get a chance to attack him.

Eiji wondered what Kuni was trying. She knew that projectiles weren't going to work so well against him. He knocked the kunai aside with ease which was strange. It was way too easy. Kuni was better then that that was for sure. So it meant one thing, she was up to something. That meant that Eiji had to do the same thing. It might look like he often did the same thing over and over again, but this was not the case. There were just a lot of... small changes in his way of fighting. Luckily he had high reflexes. That certainly helped. He turned sideways again as the fist came towards him, the poi followed the movement of his arm and went for the flying stone. Instead of destroying it though, it wrapped around it. Eiji pulled the poi around and send the thing back to Kuni's face.

So Eiji figured out she was up to something. She watched as the Earth fist came towards her and then moved to the side, keeping her hand in the route of the thrown rock. Soon enough her hand went through the rock, just like before, but it came out empty as before, as Kuni had slipped the tag into her sleeve as quickly as she could while it was still inside the rock, before letting it drop the ground. She then formed a few handseals before pressing her hands against the ground and beginning to make the earth beneath Eiji to go upwards. She appeared to be planning something else, as she also kept her eyes on the upper edge of the earth that Eiji stood on.

As a general rule a defensive fighter shouldn't be losing his or her footing. Because his footing was the foundation of his strategy to beat his opponent. So when Kuni started to make that basis unstable Eiji didn't hesitate a moment. The poi crashed into the ground, sending up smoke while he disappeared into the shaking earth himself like he had seen Kuni do so many times before. He didn't see himself having a chance underground. It was her place most of the time. So he didn't stay hidden for long, but emerged right before Kuni sending an open palm filled with explosive chakra her way.

After seeing Eiji strike the earth and bring dust and vanish within it from her sight, Kuni begun forming seals, figuring that she would need to defend herself from whatever he may bring against her afterwards. And indeed, Eiji appeared from the ground in front of her, and she did the Monkey seal. As Eiji would strike her, she would appear trying to block his explosive chakra, only to explode into smaller rock pieces and reveal it was a rock clone. However, the real Kuni would appear backing up from the clone, smiling as it would become apparent that she moved herself to right behind the clone and hid the blinding tag within it. She activated the blinding tag and stopped in her tracks, waiting for a moment to see what will Eiji do as the tag started to let out light.

She had gained good reactions, Eiji thougth as he pulled back his hand only to be met with a light which started to brighten before his face. He didn't waste his breath on a curse and snapped his eyes shut while flipping backwards. His eyes couldnt help but catch some of the insane brightness and he kept them closed. His hands started to move around him in a fast manner, the poi zooming past his ears. Without his eyes he would be vunerable, or at least more vunerable then he would normally be so needed to protect himself until his sight was again 100%.
