Haruhi Suzumori - Kirigakure Genin - Heading to the gates of the Hidden Mist

Haruhi awoken that morning with a rather uncomfortable knot in her neck. Eventually, after going through the motions of the morning: washing up and dressing, eating breakfast, shuffling around in a sleepy daze, the kink had faded away, and what was left was a growing enthusiasm to start the day off right. Some time had passed before she noticed her sensei, Mika, was not in the house, and after looking around a bit, she saw a note that sat on the table she had just finished eating at.

"Hm? How did I not notice this before?" she wondered as she picked it up and read it. It was from Mika of course, telling her that the teams was going to meet that morning at the gates of the Hidden Mist. Haru frowned at that. Why would she even want to go near Chou after what happened the last time? The girl pushed a bit of her blong hair out of her face, and as she kept reading, her scowl would get deeper.

Yes, you have to go. was written down. She had read it just after asking that to herself in her head. Damn Mika.

And you may perhaps learn something new. was the last line of it, and Haruhi knew her sensei had taken advantage of her curious side just then. Crumpling the paper in her fist, Haruhi tossed it in the trash and went to gather her things. Of course she wouldn't miss something like this. Now she had to go because Mika had spurred her curiosity, and not going would hurt more than showing up. She snuck into her sensei's room and stole one of her many bands to tie her hair up with, and used it to draw her dirty blonde locks into a ponytail. Careful not to touch anything else, Haruhi left then and headed out into the village. It was not like Haruhi to rush to these kinds of meetings, often because she purposely strolled through the areas where some villagers were out selling food, and restaurants were just starting to open. Just like every time, Haruhi was compelled to buy some food, Taiyaki as it is her favorite, and had purchased enough to share with Mika and Chou. For once she didn't eat her share because she had some idle hope that they could maybe share a meal together. She was not aware, however, that as she finally made her way to the gates, that a new teammate would already be there waiting for everyone.

She had looked around and thought she was the only one present. Pouting and then sitting down with her pouch of food, she groaned out loud. "How in the world did I not even try to get here on time, and I am still the first one?" she said loudly, not caring who heard her or who thought she was being obnoxious.

Chou Minori

After waking up in the incredibly usual manner and knowing she needed to go and meet her team at the gate, Chou was eating breakfast in a rather quick manner. It has been a while since she had felt like this, but today she had a goal to achieve. She needed to try and find a tiny bit of information, one which could possibly lead to her finding her old mentor. She wanted to slap herself upon thinking this, but she realised this meant she will need to be nice and somewhat cooperative with her team and sensei. Knowing Mika will see right through her act, she wondered if she will tell her to stop or not.

After leaving the house, she headed out and went in the direction of the village gate. Several minutes later she arrived there and noticed Haruhi was already there. She had also spotted a boy sitting on a rooftop nearby, but she had no idea if he had any kind of importance. Taking a deep breath, she approached Haruhi and while still keeping a few steps away, she put on a friendly smile "Good Morning, Haruhi-chan. Please excuse me for the way I behaved the last time we trained together. I just truly dislike being touched and I had a rather bad day, as you most likely saw. You are not a tool, and it was wrong of me to say so." She spoke in a rather casual tone, and knew that those were all empty words to her and thats all that mattered.

Mika Hayashi,
Kirigakure sensei of Team 14.

Giving the assignment to the team.

Mika had paid great attention to where her students were. From the shadows of a roof, she was sitting in the cover of a balcony. Her cold eyes noticed how the first and newest member of the team had arrived. For a moment Mika examined the newest addition of the team. She had read his profile this morning, but she was curious to see how disciplined he would be. That was what would be important for this training. Her attention went back to Haruhi when she shouted out, making Mika sigh as she slowly raised her right hand to her face. Why did she had the most strange feeling she would need to order Takeshi that he shouldn't be soft with Haruhi? Then Chou soon followed, walking behind Haruhi. Narrowing her eyes, Mika couldn't hear what Chou said, not even while being a master of Silent Killing. But that was to be expected as everything had its limits Raising herself up, Mika began to move. With making a water clone, using the water from the mist, she would form the required signals to use the Body Flicker technique. Just like her clone did.

''You really make a lot of noise, you aware of that?'' Mika asked as she poofed next to Haruhi. Her left hand on her hip, Mika looked at her student. ''Now, that is the newest member of the team. Michio.'' Briefly Mika threw a glance at Chou, a clear warning to be read in the eyes of the jounin. Mika had no clue what Chou had said, but it was clear that she was distrusted by Mika.

The water clone appeared silently behind Michio. ''Michio, please move towards the real me and your other team members. Over there. Now.'' Ordering the genin to move towards the two, the clone dispersed into water after it had given the instruction. Meanwhile, Mika spoke to Haruhi and Chou. ''I am going to need to take care of something. That means you're going to be in charge.'' Mika told Haruhi. Pulling out something of her pocket, it was a folded paper. Stretching it towards Haruhi, Mika began to explain it. ''You and the others are required to find several objects that I have hidden in the training fields. There are several traps laid around the hidden away objects. You and the others have till the evening.'' Waiting for Haruhi to take the folded paper, Mika would then use the Body Flicker Technique to disappear again.

Haruhi Uchiha
Konohagakure ANBU.

Onwards, to the Water Country!

Harumi checked her gear. The note she had received just a hour ago had made her wary. She had been given a mission. But not just one to hunt down a missing nin or capturing another shinobi of the Sand like the one before. Or guarding somebody. No, this was a mission where she had to operate more on her own in a ''neutral'' country. Once she had checked her gear, Harumi placed her bag over her shoulders. Dressed as a traveler, she had dressed herself on purpose like that. For once she was blessing herself for not having the dojutsu that some of her clan had. Not that she had once regret it. In her eyes, ironically, it was a weakness to see the sharingan as a way to see yourself strong. Weren't there strong clans out there that had no actual blood line ability? Clans much stronger than the Uchiha's? So much then for that ''blessed'' eye.

While Harumi left the Uchiha compound, she took a look while heading to the main gates. It would be some time before she would be back. Which was good. Far away from Hisoka and that troublesome father of his. Busy with something that made herself feel useful. A smile crept on Harumi's lips as she walked out of the compound. Already she felt a surge of freedom rushing through her body with each step she took, distancing herself away from that clan.

Thinking about her mission, she was nearing the main gates. Walking in a relaxed pace, she had little trouble to leave the Leaf. With the right papers and with the message being sent that she was leaving for a mission, Harumi was walking out of the village before she had even noticed it herself. Closing her eyes slowly, raising her head, Harumi began to smile again. It felt really good. Being away from her clan for some time. Maybe I should get myself a souvenir.'' Haruhi thought cheerfully to herself. Yes. And bring Hisoka a head. That might disturb him. Or irritate him? Just a sign that I am glad with him assigning me on a mission. Heading on her way, Harumi started to pick up the pace.

Michio hurriedly jumped down and moved towards Mika-san, so far he liked Chou more than he did Haruhi but that didn't really matter right now as he had to work with both of them. He stood next to Haruhi who was apparently going to be in charge. The mission sounded interesting at the least, he wondered how dangerous the traps were going to be, they were only Genin but he doubted that Mika-san would be going easy on them.

Kumogatarui Dobustu

Origami Tsubaki was the one who was going to help them on their mission, she was an impressive woman, but now wasn't the time to think about that when they had to tell her the plan. Kumoga looked to the other two. "Shiratori-san, Fujiwara-san, would either of you like to explain the mission?" She said briefly, gesturing towards Origami as she looked at them, she had said she didn't want to lead, so it was best if she could get one of them to explain instead.
Niji Yakei

Niji's retort to Shinichi was quick as he made a slight joke about her apparently being excited. "Well excuse me for being excited about finally getting to do something aside from training." She at least accepted the map and looked at it briefly. "I mean let's be honest, when was the last time we had a mission?"

With map in hand, and regardless of Shinichi's response to her, Niji would begin leading the walk to the town they were supposed to be helping out.

(Sorry for the tiny post, I've got nothin' to really add right now.)

Eiji Emiya

Somehow it was again the start of a new day. It felt strange because less then twenty four hours he had been fighting a monster. Less then twenty four hours ago Kuni's life had changed forever. And now he was prompted to train a new Genin. Eiji wasn't sure how to feel about that. Sure, Kuni was still in his team, but shouldn't they get time to... settle? Should he be starting training immediately? He didn't think so, so as he stepped out his door and called goodbye to Sachi and the nanny once more, Eiji came to a conclusion. Kuni wouldn't like being treated differently, but she would have to live with that for a moment. It was only fair that he would assess her first and then bring her back up to speed with the training. That could take a day or a month or a year, whatever was needed to convince Eiji that she was ready.

He stalked to the field he knew so well. Trainingsfield E was still by far the best field, but he was seriously wondering what kind of kid he would find there. Ryuu Uchiha was the name he had read in the file. Uchiha. At least Eiji was interested as how an Uchiha had come to live in Amegakure and had passed throught he Academy here. Even though Amegakure was part of the Fire Union Eiji didn't expect such a major Konoha clan to have members in his city. But who knew, maybe Uchiha's didn't carry much prejudice as to where there members lived. He doubted it though. Still training one could prove insightful and perhaps difficult seeing as Eiji didn't carry the typical Fire Release that Uchiha's carried. It was always more difficult to train a student that didn't have the same nature affinity. But he had done it before, and he could definitaly do it again. Maybe this time the guy would stay. Maybe this time he would get it right.

In about eight minutes he arrived at the field, nothing the boy already present. There was no Kuni in sight. As he stepped towards the center of the field he wondered if he should wait for the kunoichi to arrive. He wanted to have a talk with the Ryuu first anyway so maybe she would show up then. If not, then Eiji wouldn't press the matter. She might want to take a day off anyway, though she didn't mention it... Frowning slightly Eiji decided to wait first then.

"Ryuu Uchiha I pressume." He spoke to the boy as he arrived before him. The tree blocked the rain slightly allowing Eiji to push some of his red locks out of his face and see his new student before continuing. "Eiji Emiya, your teacher. Good to see you on time here. It seems the rest of the team is not here yet so, which gives us a moment to... get to know each other. After all we are going to be spending quite some time together if you want to achieve something as a shinobi. How about you tell me something about yourself?"

Chinatsu Hon
Konoha Team 6

Chinatsu breifly glanced at the boy, thats what he was, nothing more. Looking back to the summoning, Chinatsu gave a nod of adknowledgement, keeping it breif and quick. She was focusing on the mission, on the details and how she thought of it. Turning to Sayuri, she gave a lofty grin and pulled out a red apple to hand to her. "Surprise, you get an apple," Chinatsu said, pulling a second one out, it was green. Shrugging, she glanced at the boy and took a bite of her apple, not bothering to offer one to the new genin in their team. Chinatsu felt uncertin of the new team 6 member, she didn't know what he was or what he was good at. What did he offer them? Would he get in the way?

"Alright, so we need to get going. Sayuri, are you prepared?" Chinatsu asked, then turned to the boy. "Stay out of the way, if you mess anything up then I will feed you to the Giant Spiders in the Forest of Death after I shove Spider-ka-bob down your throat, got it? Good." She admitted, to herself, it was a pretty harsh thing to say to someone she just met but they couldnt afford to mess anything up, he should not be here anyways. He didn't get a bell, he did not fight giant spider and spiderlings. He had no place here.

She reached back, adjusting her bow that rested her back and touched the arrows that were held in their sheath. Mother had once asked why she liked a bow and arrows so much, she had answered that she was a hunter, and she was she hunted those who got in her way. "I am a hunter..." Chinatsu said, it was barely audible.

Ryuu looked up as he heard somebody speak to him. With a shock, the boy realized he could read the man's lips and even guess at what he was going to say before it was said. It took Ryuu a full 10 seconds to realize that the dark thoughts he had been having earlier must have activated his Sharingan without him meaning too. Upon reaching that conclusion, the boy forced his Sharingan away, so his eyes returned to normal. No point in wasting his Chakra for no apparent reason. After doing this the boy looked at his teacher again. "Is there something you need to know, Sensei?" The boy said, ensuring that he was being polite. After all Ryuu would need the Valuable lessons that he would learn in order to prove himself worthy of being an Uchiha.

With that the boy straightened up from leaning back against the tree. Waiting patiently for his teacher's response to his question.

Fujiwara Takeshi

Takeshi listened to Tora-sensei as he introduced the woman when she landed amongst them 'Origami Tsubaki'. Takeshi would have sworn he had heard that name before but he couldn't place it. Tora-sensei left her students to scout the area. Origami asked them to explain the mission to her. Takeshi hid his surprise to her voice very well, it was completely emotionless, how could someone even talk so monotone, so... dead, while completely alive? Kumoga turned to Him and Naoto asking if they would like to explain the mission to their new arrival. Takeshi just looked at Naoto, or did she expect him to explain their mission to the analyst-expert?

Nazari Suta
Jounin Sensei, Team 15

With an irritated sigh, she turned in the direction of the Amekage and listened. The attack, the injured and the probably now dead few brave ninja who fought with them were all weighing heavily on her. What was the reason for this? What had they done besides just be here? She didn't think they was a reason, but maybe it was something she was not capable of comprehending it or maybe she was, it could just be eluding her. She glanced around the area, looking for Kazen and couldn't see her. She was torn between going to look for her and checking on Shu, where was he?

Deciding that a Jounin, once Anbu, was more likely fine than a genin fresh from the Academy and sighing again, she took off in the direction of where the genins were being held for their safety. Upon arriving at the place, she searched the faces of the genins until she found the one she was looking for. At first look, Shu looked fine and not injured, so did everyone. Now that she was satisfied with what she saw, she left back for where the battle had taken place and helped some of the medical nin carry injured back to the hospital. Her mind focused on a possible mission for team.

A mission for Suzaku!
The Uzumaki ANBU makes his return."

He never thought it will happen again, but it happened. He was reading a scroll that contained a mission for him from Lord Hokage. It was more than a mission for him - it was a sign of trust. After his blunder on his previous mission that almost get him killed and forced him to recover for an extended period of time, he was thinking about his ANBU carreer as an already finished part of his life. The medics in the Konoha managed to patch him up and after a lengthy rehabilitation, he was declared fit for missions once again. And the mission he just received was probably the most important in his carreer. And also, the most difficult - moving around in The Wolf Country as a shinobi was already difficult because of the attitude of the locals. They Wolf Country was ruled by Samurai, not by Shinobi - and even though the conditions changed, he will still be under close surveilance. And he prepared for the mission accordingly.

While still taking his Leaf ANBU uniform, he will be travilling by disguising it under civilian robes. A travelling cape with a large hood was his choice for this time - and he can always rely on trying to use the Transformation Technique. He was carefully checking his gear - his kunai and shuriken were already strapped to his belt and ready to be used, together with his sealing scrolls. His blade was cleaned and already attached to his back. Then, he hid his Konoha Forehead protector into one of his pouches - he might end up not using it at all. After all, this was a covert operation that required him not to be caught. But if that would happen, he will use the last condition he has given to his mission - he is allowed to use lethal force in order to preserve his undercover status. He was not fond of killing, but if he will ran out of options, he was prepared to do so. When he was done with strapping on all his gear, he looked at his right shoulder - the only place he still had bandaged.

Slowly unwrapping the bandage, he revealed his ANBU tattoo still on his right shoulder - the one that was badly burned on his last failed mission. Seeing it was still there strengthened his resolve not to fail this time. Placing the bandage on the table, he picked up his last missing piece of gear - his mask. He strapped it to his belt on the side of his body. After that, he took the cloak and wrapped it around his shoulders - just as he hoped, it completely concealed his gear. Placing the cape on his head, he walked to the window and looked out through the window. The roads will be full of travellers due to the nice weather, making it that much easier for him to blend in. Making his way down to the street level, he blended in with the crowd and set out towards his destination.

Onwards, to the Wolf Country.

Hiroshi Hon & Sayuri Cho

Troubles on the horizon.

Hiroshi was not satisfied at all, and neither was Hirudora. The tiger eyed the team with unhidden dislike - the proud tiger did not take great liking to being ignored as he was just now. He started to growl just as Hiroshi placed his hand on his back. The tiger looked at the Jonin and hissed a bit, but remained silent." Enough! I will not have any of this on my team! I mean especially you, Chinatsu. We will talk about this later. The same goes for you, Akira ... being this quiet will not help neiter you, or our team at all. And Sayuri ... we´ll also talk later." The Cho girl was puzzled, but decided that if Hiroshi-Sensei said they have to talk, he had a good reason to do so. She bowed her head and sighed a bit." Yes, Hiroshi-Sensei."

Hiroshi observed them for a while before continuing to speak." As I told you, we will be giving a chase to a Leaf traitor. For this mission, we have to work like a team - a true team with me leading our team and you doing exactly what I say to you. Compared to our first mission in which Akira did not participate, the conditions of the mission are not under my control. We will have to cover a much larger area at a quick pace, so all we can depend on is good, coordinated teamwork. Use your communicators - they are a great asset." Hiroshi tapped Hirudora on the back and started to move towards the door of the dojo." While we are out there, all we have is each other. You can depend on me and I can depend on you - and we can all rely on Hirudora, just as much as he can on us. I want to see teamwork out there. I expect it will not be a problem ... right, Chinatsu?"

Sayuri mentioned to her teammates to follow the duo. She wanted to give her best on this mission, and that meant teamwork. While she had no problem on working with other people, but their composition was making it a bit different - both Chinatsu´s personality and the fact that Akira was a great unknown to them. She was a bit worried, but with Hirudora and Hiroshi-Sensei on their side, all should be fine. Or she hoped so." We will give it our best, Hiroshi-Sensei. Right, Chinatsu, Akira?" She hoped that her teammates will confirm it, as she wanted to avoid making Hiroshi to be nervous even more - he seemed nervous enough solely by the mission. Their teacher looked at them from the opened door and gave them a smile.

" I am counting on all of you. Let´s go!"

Somewhere in The Rain Country ...
The seeds of troubles are sowed.

Several men wearing black coats were standing on a hill, observing the largest food plantage in the country. Strike at this point and they can cripple the Village Hidden by Rain, as the Amekage was causing too much trouble lately." What shall we do, Leader?" The man called Leader observed the plantage, hatred burning in his eyes. He clenched his fist and pointed on the horizon." It is unwise to move all in without any intel. Amegakure is sure to not miss a threat like this ... not with him being the Amekage. We will send in a few men to scout. Make sure they will not be recognized ... and gather as much information as they can. We must move cautiosly, but we are running out of time ... if the village is to burn, we must succeed here. Send them immidiately."

"Yes, Leader." The other man left without saying anything else, but the Leader remained to observe the horizon, together with the plantation. Dark clouds were gathering over the horizon. He know it and he smiled. He was decided to make the times for the village he hated so much as hard as he could ... and if possible, to draw out him. They had a score he waited for years to settle. This was not only about bringing down the village ... this was about killing him." I hope you still remember that time ... when our ways separated ... and if not, I am going to remind you by severing the past ... so be on your guard ...

Itsuo Takata

Itsuo sat in the mud, placing his back on the wall with his head lowered and hands hidden underneath the cloak. He had the rat handsignal concealed as well as his two fingers dug deep into the dirt as he felt the nearby area with his eyes locked on the ground. He could hear some coins click in front of him, feeling its shape through the Nature's Ear. It was a child who'd fallen behind his parents to give what she thought to be a homeless person. A small smirk curled on the young shinobi's lips.

He'd tried to find a proper place to hide and stay out of sight but he decided against it, coming to the conclusion that people who were wary of him as a raider would stay away and those who were actually attacking the village wouldn't care about his presence or at least approach him for goods. Though it wasn't very likely that his open presence, even if in the guise of a faceless wanderer, would attract the attention he wanted enough to help him significantly, it was still better to feel the ground on the street than in a building. This way both the eyes and the Ear could help him.

Akira Kurasawa
Team 9

Akira narrowed his eyes and looked to Chinatsu, he had hoped that after leaving the academy he'd leave behind the bullying and ridicule but it seemed it was simply the way of things. He watched the way her tone shifted, how her entire personality changed in an instant as she handed an apple to the other team member who likely had similar views but hadn't had the time to express them only to snap back as her attention turned back onto him. The threats went in one ear and out of the other, no point dwelling on them, the only acknowledgement he gave was a simple shrug and the blinking of his eyes. The girl muttered something else but Akira didn't hear it, he looked to Hiroshi.

Why he was being reprimanded for his silence was a mystery to him, lowering his head slightly Akira sighed quietly. "My apologies Sensei, Hirudora, I didn't have anything useful to contribute and I don't think idle chatter is something you'd want to hear." He was tempted to add something along the lines of 'Neither are death threats' but decided against it, no sense in starting an argument right before an important mission. His Sensei's words also shed light on why Chinatsu was acting so superior, the team had already performed one previous mission, that made Akira smile inside, she was really quite petty to hold a single mission in such high regard.

Raising his head to follow the team leader he looked to Sayuri and gave a faint smile, so far she hadn't made any comments leading him to hope that she was at least indifferent about him which meant he'd be able to make a good impression. Then he looked to Chinatsu, keeping the smile up, there was a slim chance she was just in a bad mood and that treating them correctly and showing each of them he was useful would improve their current relationship. His gaze shifted forwards to the open door and he gave a swift nod to Sayuri's statement. "Right!"
