It is all in the application, my friend. If I make a field before my character and keep pushing it forward as I walk, I've got a shield, allowing my sword wielder to wildly charge into battle. I can convert Thermal to kinetic as well, and use any heat source to launch my character through the air. I can put it on the ground and simply have the field change the direction of the energy, as long as the output is the same as the input. So I can make my opponents misstep, and instead of dodging, they step directly into my blade, or conversely, I can jump onto the field and it'll take the downward momentum and shove me forward with the same force, giving me a faster than normal speed....

Yeah, it can be pretty lame, but when we talk about teamwork to get objectives done, I picture my character filling more of a support role, allowing the rest of you guys to be pretty crazy in your methods. Meh. We'll see.
@Jewelsroleplayerguild.com/topics/90816-amnes.. is where the thread is happening. We have another player who is keeping it flexible, so you can do that too.

But, ultimately, the first step in the campaign is to figure out what is going on, why you don't have memories, and then decide what you want to do from there. As I will be controlling what you do and do not remember, when you regain your memories, etc. We can totally play it by ear so far as your history is concerned. If you piece something together later on, run it past me then. If it is something that could affect role play, well then I will adjust the story accordingly. Fill it out what you can of a profile for now, and we'll get the ball rolling!
ok. disregard, apparently this thread is dead.
I totally have a character idea for this, but I think it might be a bit overpowered perhaps? We'll see what the character sheets look like and go from there, of course. But I am thinking of an Angel, might go half angel. But the Angel of Equality, or their progeny. Wields a sword, but can make small conversion fields. The conversion field changes energy from one type to another. So Kinetic Energy could be converted into thermal energy, making a force field that not only stops motion through it, but burns whatever is attempting to pass through it as well. A slow moving object would take less damage then a fast moving object.

Yay, nay?
Lol, sure. We can flush him out as we go.
Pilot Sheet
Name: Zim Hero, Nickname is Zero.
Appearance:
Hero stand a diminutive 4'9", but is built like a fortress. His body has been tempered towards high gravity situations, perhaps this is part of the reason that he is so short. High gravity planets, tending to stay hotter on average then most other planets, Hero keeps his head shaved habitually. When the stubble does begin to show through, it grows in pitch black, just as his dark unkempt eyebrows project. Below these black lines are piercing ice-blue eyes. The high gravity life he has lived thus far has made his bone structure extremely dense, giving him and anyone else from his home planet a much stronger frame, and his muscles are also just as compressed, giving way to much higher definition of his anatomy. From sunken eye sockets, to raised cheekbones, and a prominently dimpled chin, Hero has an otherwise chiseled complexion.

On his right shoulder is a tattoo of a black star, an un-tattooed line flies through it, giving the viewer an impression that it is meant to be a falling star. Otherwise his body is riddled with scars from his hard life and his previous encounter with the Cruxi. There is a burn on his left hand that has permanently left his otherwise pale skin a deep red. The burn encompasses his entire hand and runs raggedly up to his elbow. On the right side of his chest there is a scar from a puncture wound, with a matching scar on his back were the impaling spike exited his body.

Gender: Male
Age: 25
Experience: 79%
Synchronization Rate: 36%
Personality: Hero is a relatively level headed individual, the hard life on his home planet left little joy in him. He is serious in all things that he does, and has little patience for stupidity, naivety, ignorance or arrogance. He is, however, very respectful to everybody he meets unless you have made a particular effort to cross him. The closest thing to humor for Hero is sarcasm, but it is generally intended as an underhanded insult. The Cruxi are about the only thing that he shows an overly aggressive personality towards.
Background: Hero comes from a planet that is known as Fortress. The planet's upper atmosphere was unique in that it reflected much of the heat away from the planet despite its close proximity to the systems star, putting it much closer in comparison to what is generally considered the 'Hospitable zone.' In addition to this, the planet is surrounded by debris from a long destroyed moon, making approach from outside rather difficult. It did not take long before this debris field was rigged up to be controled to make entrance and exit easier when needed or nearly impossible when needed, valuable resources have long since been mined from the debris field, and synthetic weapons platforms have replaced many of the debris that have been destroyed or mined out of usefullness. Despite protection from above, life on this high gravity planet was harsh, the heat made it very difficult for most fauna to florish on the planet surface. Most of the food from the planet comes from synthetic sources, or is removed from subterrainian growth veins. At twenty he moved off planet with an exploration and settlement team and found himself on a planet near the outer ring of planets. The planet hardly had a name before the Cruxi came. When they did, they didn't just destroy the settlements to reclaim the world for their own, rather they destroyed the entire planet itself. Hero was lucky in that he was on a topigraphical scan at the moment from a satilite oribter. Debris from the planet made the orbiter unusable, including a large piece of debris from another satilite orbiter punctured the cabin and impaled Hero. It was due to the self-sealing nature of his space suit that he survived. It sealed the suit against the vacuum, and sealed the jagged pole into Heros skin, stopping the bleeding. The force kept him moving through space for three days before his pod was found by a merchant freighter and transported him to the nearest planet.
Notable Deaths: His family all remained back home on Fortress, and his personality made making friends difficult. However the person he was closest too, he quietly reveared as his brother. His name was Fleck Jawstone and was a ship navigator on the expidition ship that brought him to the new planet. Hero regrets not being more open with him.

Framewerk Code Name: Black Star
Appearance: http://gundambuilder.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/img-ms-gundam-deathscythe-hell.jpg
Number of Framewerk Systems: 1 primary, 1 secondary.
Signature Weapon System: Thermal Scythe. The Thermal scythe has a pair of super heated blades that can be deployed when activated and can be turned to face different directions or point straight out of the staff like a spear head. This puts the black star in a relatively close combat position, but gives him reach over most other melee combat frameworks.
Secondary Weapon System: Armor Wings. A set of armor wings that fold out of the way during combat for easier maneuverability, or fold down and add an extra layer of protection during blitz maneuvers to break through front lines.
Weight Class: Medium weight. Other than the armor wings adding much heavier armor, the Black Star is relatively lightly armored for faster maneuverability in combat.
Special Ability:
With a shudder the crew members of the ship woke up, one by one. Green was first to awaken from her cryopod. Her HUD display from inside of her helmet flashed the red symbol for low atmosphere. This was the start of the questions.

Why is the Atmo low? Why was I in a Cryopod? What is this ship that I am in? For that matter? What the hell is my name?

Everybody had the same questions. But before Mr Orange awoke from the pod next to hers, she was on her way down the hall. Her body navigated the low gravity well. She was used to this environment, even if she didn't know it. With the agility of a well trained 0G Athlete, she made her way down corridors, comfortably launching herself this way and that as if she knew where she was going. Her mind didn't, but her body did.

The gas hiss of the bridge door opened to allow Green onto the deck and she quickly found herself in front of a control panel. The panel itself was dark save for a single flashing icon in the lower right corner. For the life of her, and that may end up being literal, she couldn't remember what actually meant. She reached for it, but just before she could press the button, she was greeted by the hiss of the pneumatic doors swishing open again. Behind her came Purple Patches, Turquoise, and Dark Red.

What was going on here? Did anybody know what was happening?

All at once, everybody seemed to ask the second most important question that came to mind in that moment, "Who are you?!"

Everybody had various smears of blood covering visors, or elsewhere on their skin-thins. Quick logic would dictate that it wasn't their own blood, otherwise their skin-thins wouldn't be able to keep the atmospheric pressure up and stop their bodies from decompressing. Besides, if they had been bleeding before going into a Cryopod, there was a good chance they had been in their for a while, and more than likely they would have bled out slowly through their hyper-chilled veins. So it had to be someone else's, a fourth person perhaps? But whose?

These questions, any many more, had no immediate answers. But, before many of them, the most important question was how to fix their ship, they only had a few hours before their skin-thins stopped providing enough oxygen to sustain conscious thought.
How about a nice 25 year old pilot?
@Korkoa,@SleepingSilence, characters approved! Move them on over to the character section!

@Rune_Alchemistwell, I've got two more characters in, and a third coming, so I think we can make it work.

All: I will get the opening IC post up soon!
@SleepingSilence I understand. Nothing interrupts Pizza consumption.
