So just to clarify a few questions. If I am medium and move 2 spaces normally, 4 spaces on a sprint, does this change moving to medium-heavy? The thrusters on my pack move me 3, this is in place of regular movement, I assume, is that usable only once per turn, or can I sprint with it too for a total of 6 spaces?

The shield barrier, is there a recharge period if it breakdown, or is when it's done it's done?
Ok, great. Like I said, I am going to wait a little bit in case someone else wants one.
Throw them in the direction they need to go in for the healers, and just have the heavy cannons attach to yourself and set to autofire.
Ok, so if Black Star gets one, I would go with Boosters, Migi-Hidari(kinetic), Rifle, and Shield.

Again, if anybody else does want one, I am willing to give it up for the sake of strategy. I'm flexible, I promise!
Well, obviously Jason and I want them, but if someone else wants one, then I am open to debating who gets it based on strategy. Otherwise it becomes first come first serve, which isn't very fair in a gaming environment of this nature.
@Jasonhero Its true, heavy hitters are already intended to f sh up. But a melee combatant that cannot reach the target is nothing but a decoy, adding ranged weapons gives them options. Also, melee frames tend to be lighter, so the added weight would be less a detractor compared to a heavy unit getting heavier. It is like going from Medium to Heavy, instead of Heavy to Extra Heavy. I understand your argument, and it appears to be a bit of a moot point as Mox doesn't want one anyways.

I am still willing to give mine up if we think using my stealth is a better option over going heavy assault if someone else wants it.

Also, as this is all extra, modular equipment, I assume that it could be dropped in the event of needing the extra speed for some reason. I.E. Shield generator is toast, out of propellant, out of ammunition, so lets just drop those pieces of unusable stuff and get the speed advantage back.
@Jasonhero Lies. Zim is best girl, this is established.

I'll volunteer for the other assault pack? Really, Atty and Blackstar are pretty much the best strategic choices for the packs, as we are both primarily melee range units. Everyone else has some sort of ranged weaponry. By that same token, Blackstar also has his stealth factor, so being able to, hopefully, approach without drawing fire might allow him to attack the turrets as a first wave attack to make an opening for others to approach.

Based on the description of the assault packs, I am assuming they are going to be more like option 2 from the previously presented things where we would continue to carry the bulk with us rather than being able to disengage when not needed/in use. Even so, example 2 has 11 weapons and 4 shields if you count each missile pod as a separate piece. 5 if all missiles are counted as 1. If we assume one of those is the machines Primary weapon; then 4 additional weapons and 4 shields, which is still a lot of carnage, as a maximum, lol. We should keep in mind that we want to do damage, but not destroy indiscriminately, at least no until we get the PoWs out of the station, even then, I'm sure that Lorenzo's crack team of scientists would love to get their hands on a cruxi space station, so maybe not completely destroy it. So assault packs should me made for focused carnage, not stuff that will rip the place in half, like your moon killer.

Can these assault units have a system pack on them as well to assist in targeting or what have you? Or is it reliant on the machines existing systems? Because the sample picture looks like there is some sort of maneuverability vernier rockets on the back.

Side thought: It occurs to me that Katya's heavy little turrets can mount on other werks with their magnets and auto fire on their own, too.

So, for Blackstar, do we want me to stay stealthy and attempt to make an opening, or do we want to go guns blazing and maximize firepower? If maximizing, then Atty and black star should get the assault packs, if 'mox wants one. If we want me to attempt at stealth, then I give up my claim. I might get one, maybe two, of the auto turrets before they just start randomly firing at me...

If black star gets one:

... I just realized that this assault pack is taking my three primary characters from overwatch and bashing them together. Bastion in Turret mode, Reinharts shields, and Pharahs barrage and rocket jump, and then throwing a rifle on it. So my three favorites, and widowmaker, because why not, oh and soldier 76's tactical visor.

Also, space combat, huh? Are we going to have an x,z, and z-axis map this time? And as we are in space, does this mean our movement speeds will be faster?

Sorry, I like making things complicated.
I have a head cold, canceled all plans for the day. I was hoping that there might be something here for me to post to today, but alas. Oh well, I'll just play overwatch for more than an hour today, maybe.
That's an excellent question... It's so quiet and lonely here...
