See as a player, I really did not see any of that fluctuation, nor did I really feel at any point that Zim was really honestly in any serious trouble this time. The worst situation was when he got too close to the turrets, but black star reacted with the shield and we got out of the way before getting 'sploded. I will admit that if black star didn't have the shield to react with, then yeah, would have been hosed- but I as the player, would not have acted as rash.

Initially, as I looked at the sync losses I thought, why would that hurt my sync level, I took physical damage. However, with a little more thought, I realized that this is an emotional link as much as anything. Sync goes up with trust, sync goes down when that trust is lost. Zim does a stupid maneuver and gets too close to the turrets getting us in a harry situation, black star doesn't trust Zim as much to make good decisions. Zim will be going through the data soon and having this same realization and using it as evidence towards his new beliefs that the frameworks are really alive and sentient things.

BTW, can we keep our assault packs ;)

@Ariamis Ok, either is fine. I'll keep mine as 100 (114) as I gained 14 experience this last round. Of course I actually lost sync despite Zim's gains in how he looks at Black Star, but that is still in development, so it is what it is, I'll get it all back and then some.

@Evil Snowman I just did mine linear. It's all addition and subtraction, so it doesn't really matter which one happens first or not, especially for sync, seeing as the scale goes beyond 100, even, apparently, to unlimited numbers. (The Sync is OVER 9000! Can't wait for that to happen) At least, that was how I did it.

So, maybe a stupid question, but I imagine the XP doesn't gather beyond 100? We have seen it possible in sync, so I thought I would ask to double check.

We Protect. We love. We care. We are the good guys. Right?

Well there is a lot of time between now and then that real nations could ebb and flow through. At the current geopolitical rate, you are likely to see a unified European government of some sort, either the USA would have gone total isolation, fractured into smaller nations, or formed a continental government like Europe, but with Mexico and Canada. The south American continent would probably remain a collection of smaller nations, perhaps operating as a coalition or republic when at the global table. Asia is likely to be all under China and Russian rule. Africa will still be the extreme range it currently exists in. They will have the poorest of the poor and the richest of the rich. Much of Africa could have been either outright destroyed by anarctic war,while what remains usable is developed by rich foriegn developers. The middle East will likely be a glass field.

A structure like this would make for enough freedom to do what you want, while still leaving enough geographic history to make it feel more real.

CARE could be an artificial island somewhere that is contracted by a nation or two to provide the services they offer, therefore primarily removing them from the geopolitical landscape.

I'm not gonna lie, I would like it if this RP was faster, but in the end, this isn't the slowest RP I have ever been involved in and I would rather not sacrifice quality in order to speed it up. You know? Plus, obviously, RL comes first. Lastly, I am crazy stupid busy for the next week and a half anyway, so I am not sure that if there was a post to respond to, that I would respond to it next day like I usually do... Though I still pop on and check every single day.

I am curious as to what the technology level is going to be like. It seems like there are some pretty sophisticated containment and brainwashing tech going on, probably surveillance, too.

Appearance

Background: Kaeryn is exceptional... well not that kind of exceptional. She is a genius when it comes to all things medical. Before she joined CARE she was at the forefront of DNA genomic therapies. However, the firm that she worked for closed up shop after allegations of... less than humane test methods. Whether any of that was any of Dr. Rage's doing, well nobody will ever know, as the details of the allegation were sealed when the medical research firm settled the dispute and closed up shop, selling off its assets and research findings to anyone who might have an interest in such things. Despite this ominous black spot on the lungs of her career, Care accepted her with open arms, ready and willing to give her a fresh start doing good for the world, a greater good.
