Current Anyone know how LARP works? Like, are there clubs? Is it Skyped? Is it pre-written and then acted, or just done in the moment? Very confused by the concept...

RP is basically playing pretend on the playground, but fancily, if you think about it...

I got sunburned on July 4th, and it STILL hasn't healed. Can't I just buy a new face somewhere and call it good?

Bio

Hullo! I'm MushyKetchup, a 15-year-old girl from the southern U.S. I'm an aspiring journalist, as well as a tap dancer, actress, dramaturg, and terrible fiction author. At the moment, I'm sticking to free and casual RPs, as I'm fairly new to the concept of forum RP (although I've RPed in chatrooms and games with multiple people for years). I'm most comfortable with RPs from the past 500 years, sci-fi RPs, fantasy RPs, and realistic RPs. Feel free to shoot me a message for a chat or an invitation to a RP. I'm in the Central Time Zone, by the way. If you wanna know more, I have an ask.fm right here that I'm dying to use.

Want a friend or someone to RP with? These are some great people to check out.
@CanisMajoris2 is a newer member to the site, but has roleplayed for many years. He's casual to advanced.
@Tombprince is a great person to know who will happily go the extra mile to interact with other characters in a RP. Typically does casual.
@Dragonmancer is a fantastic guy whose passion is forum RP, but who will also RP in other places. He's mostly advanced.
@Wade Wilson is a talented (and EXTREMELY British) writer who enjoys hanging out in the spam and off-topic conversation forums when not RPing. She does casual and advanced.
@DisguisedDemon is a user who has been my GM a few times. She's very dedicated to her RPs, has fantastic ideas, and drives stories along like they're monster trucks. Sticks to free and casual.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to hear from you!

P.S. If you're curious why I picked this username, it's one I invented years ago to use on all of my online accounts. It's gender-neutral and doesn't suggest age or appearance, and let's face it - would you rather have MushyKetchup or sexygal69?

@Overlord24@MushyKetchup do you guys need a minster? You can copy and my speech.

I bet we'll just copy. I was waiting for a reply from Overlord, but if he doesn't feel there's much more to say, we can skip to the minister part. :)

Ellanore sighed to herself and dug her heels into the horse's ribs, forcing him to stop. From there, she fished around in her pockets, realized Fin wasn't there, and spoke instead to the air around her. "Finny, I know her policy seems... cruel," she offered lightly. "But this is not a personal game she is playing. She is playing the game of politics, which is impersonal and involves many sacrifices. She is not sending thousands of her men to war with this policy; she is eliminating single people in different realms, which, in terms of numbers, is far better when one considers ethics. And she has attempted to influence the Grimm brothers, truly, but we both know it has been in vain. They wouldn't even speak to me and hear my story. The only way she can convince them is to bring others into it, and even then, I have yet to hear a single report of her going through with her promises yet."

"Yes, the 'evil queen' is a rather alarming title," she continued. "But she has ruled alone for years and years without any family to keep her company." She paused, thinking back to her father back at home, who would nearly always call on advisors, family, or both to make a decision, since he found it so impossible to be certain of a choice alone. "I'm not sure how she does it," she murmured. "Of course the toll on her mentally has been harsh. She lacks a council, she lacks a family, and now, even her subjects are turning on her."

She finally noticed the speck of weight on her shoulder and reached over, gently plucking Fin from her perching place and looking her in the eye - or, at least, where Ellanore thought her eyes would be. Two digits felt around until they found Fin's back, which she gently massaged with her fingertips. "She has noticed the pains and frustrations the brothers' tales have brought upon the people. Now, it is up to her to stop them. And unfortunately, the course she has chosen to accomplish her task is one not many who are not part of the political world would understand. Please, try to understand why I have assisted her. I wish to revert the plan, of course, since she is so clearly opposed, but I know why she chose this path and I will support her.

"Will you?"
Right.

Left.

Right.

Keep walking, Nicky, her brain demanded firmly. Don't run away. Don't look at the man too closely. Don't examine the audience. And above all, don't acknowledge the fact that you can already feel he won't be The One. Just keep walking. Keep walking.

So she did. Her fingers hung so tightly onto the bouquet, one of the flowers snapped off and fell to the ground. The shoes that held her fragile frame wobbled and wavered. But she kept walking, as she promised herself she would when this time arrived, and finally, she was at his side. A speaker began to drone on, and she quickly zoned out, eyes firmly directed at her flowers.
I'm so sorry guys! I've been really sick! :((

Aww, I'm sorry! :( Get well soon. If there's anything we can do to help keep things moving or anything, let us know.

Oh.

Oh, look. A perfectly ordinary object that definitely isn't a mimic. Hello. Welcome to Roleplayer Guild, thingy. How are you liking our corner of the Internet so far?

Ellanore tugged on the reins gently and murmured a few words in the stallion's ears, leading the couple into a steady trot. She had decided the Arabian was to walk around the castle once to warm up before the journey began. As her skirts rustled and the two of them bounced lightly, she tipped her weight slightly to grow closer to Fin. "Hopefully, such violence will not be necessary," she called over the noise of the horse's footsteps cutting through dried grass. "But in the unfortunate case it is required, I suppose it would be in our favor for you to unleash your worse, Finny."

The castle, though it offered a dark and mysterious tone, was magnificently grand. The many pillars and towers were strewn with huge banners and perfectly-aligned shingles, the former of which offered the country's flag, coat of arms, and many other images it held to its name. The path they traveled was along the courtyard, which hummed with the murmurs of a brook nearby and the joyous tittering of birds. Some of the elements, such as the pitch black birdbath lined with rubies or the dark needles cocooning the pine trees lining their path, suggested the gothic theme the queen seemed to savor, but all in all, her outdoors were far more cheerful than her indoors, and as such, Aspe- whoops, Ellanore's mood lightened. Her mind kept flitting back to the same topic, which was why the queen's countrymen seemed to hate her so. Sure, her policies were somewhat questionable at times, and she wasn't the most pleasant all of the time (Ellanore thought back to the hearty serving of screaming Her Highness had delivered to the Grimms) but as for the queen herself, she seemed a woman of good will and intentions.

Suddenly, Ellanore leaned down to call on Fin yet another time. "Fin, how much do you know about the queen who hosts us at this castle? What do you think of her?"
