Welcome to Shine City! :D

Why don't you bring Ayane out to socialise with us? It would be difficult to reach her in her apartment, after all...maybe she could be passing through the park to meet up with Zac and Shizuka? Or the arcade to see off Kyle and Nori?

Or she could even be at the aquarium for the celebrity Aoi Iwata's little visit!

...or, she could go to the gym, or the Tiny Snowflake, or meet up with Amaya or she could always come home to the Mochavine. xD

Your call, girl!
@Oz Don't push yourself, little one! I hope you get better soon. :( Don't exert yourself too much and take good care of yourself, too.
@Stern Algorithm Hnng cute maids.

Also, boss, @Dynamo Frokane, I'm really sorry to do this to Aoi but I think I'll have to let go of her ;; Life really is too hectic to manage the both of them, so I leave her in your, or someone else's very capable hands, and offer my sincerest apologies.
...I'm sorry ;;

@Narcotic Dollie I noticed Nori finally used the name we thought up in the old RP for Shou, huh...
I Shou could get used to being called "fox", heh.
"Ah, good morning." Shou replied absently to the gentleman who had just greeted him, his gaze having been caught by the alluring hue of yellow of a scarf on a woman dressed otherwise quite monochromatically. Shaking his head, he turned his attention to the man who had addressed him, and gave him a gentle, if a little apologetic smile. There was something about his tired brown eyes that really gave away the blaring, obvious fact that Shou Matsuoka was not, and probably never will be, a morning person.

Shou couldn't particularly place his dark brown hair, or his azure eyes, or even his incredibly laid back manner, though he could swear he had seen this man before.
...a lot.
Were it not for the fact that he had forgotten his spectacles, Shou might have recognised him as the young man who worked at his favourite optician's, An Eye For Fashion. The old man there was a delight, and he often saw the boy helping him out, as well. Though, as far as he could recall, he had never personally spoken to him. Maybe it was just happenstance or bad timing, but it was most certainly happening now.

"It's very cold out. Almost couldn't get out of bed to make it here." Shou almost whined here, boy did he really hate the cold, but he could definitely agree with the man. "But it definitely warrants a lot of customers. I wonder if there'll be somewhere to sit at all? Usually, you can walk in and sit wherever you'd like. Today...just doesn't seem like it's going to be one of those days, heh."

Upon hearing the question, the professor's eyebrow quirked and he flashed the man, or rather boy, as Shou looked him over properly, a lazy sideways smirk. He was younger by quite a few years, but there was a comfortingly casual air about him. "I do. I presume you're a student there...?"
His sentence lingered as he tried to grasp for names, but unfortunately, to no avail. He really had never spoken to this man before face to face. In the midst of said grasping, an unexpected yawn made itself apparent. The silver haired man's hand moved to his mouth to gently cup it, as if capturing the yawn itself.
"Aah, excuse me. It...mornings are my bane, an-"
And here came another one. Goodness, was he awful today. "For...give me, hah. Haven't even introduced myself. My name is Shou, though since you asked whether I worked at the academy, next time you're by, ask for Professor Shou Matsuoka." he continued, still of the impression that the boy was a student, probably doing a completely different course. He looked like one of those students...those who did a subject like computers. Though, Shou could appreciate that. Statistics, technology and science worked hand in hand like charms.

As he busied himself with surveying the crowd at the Mochavine, casually leaning against the edge of what seemed to be a notice-board, a small figure and flashes of blonde hair seemed to dart through the crowd of the increasingly long line waiting to be seated.
Was the whole damn town here?!

And, out of the corner of his eye, he saw the figure emerge from the mass of people, a woman with brilliant amber eyes and carrying a stack of flyers, that she promptly began to put up without another word. He found himself fascinated by her, his eyebrow quirked, though it was still too early and coffee was calling. He let out another yawn. "Ah, pardon me, miss." he stepped aside to allow her more access to the board.
She was, after all, separating him and the darker haired boy, after all. Maybe once he'd gotten something to drink - and eat - he'd give her poster a glance on the way out. It looked quite homely compared to some others, he assumed off the bat that it was a pet-adoption flyer or lost-pet advertisement.

Just as he was contemplating finding someone who did not look too opposed to the idea of sharing their table with him, Rosanna's familiar voice called out from behind the counter, and his head turned to find its source. There she was, cheeks a little flushed still (she was sporty, as often she had her bag of a change of gym-clothes with her as she changed shifts) and simply glowing.
"Ah, Rosanna! You've talked me into it now." he offered her a casual wave and as enthused a grin as he could manage, but with his appearance, dark circles and all, it probably was not very convincing.

Worrying for her sake as she seemed to be the only person working there, he called out over the rather noisy crowd, "Are you the only one here today, Rosanna? If you want, I could help you out, after my coffee?"

"I..." he began, still a little hesitant and in contemplation still about what to do, and moreso where to sit. The bar looked full, so he was reduced to only the cafe area and the many (mostly occupied) chairs and sofas to choose from.
One section caught his eye, however. There seemed to be a young lady in a red scarf sitting by herself in what would have otherwise been a space for four. Of course, it was rude to intrude upon anyone's table, but Shou was getting antsy. Manoeuvring his way past the crowd, he made his way to the counter and his words came softly, breathlessly to Rosanna. "Coffee, black. And cheesecake, definitely. Thanks, Ro'." he shortened her name, giving her a grateful bow of his head before moving away and to the table he saw where the girl with the red scarf was.
He approached her with caution, realising just how odd the situation must have been, but on any other day, maybe even weirder than this.

"Pardon me, miss. I...would you mind if I were to share this table with you? If it bothers you, that's alright. I'd just like to sit for a coffee and a bite to eat." he spoke to Akane with his hands loosely half-held in his pockets. Hopefully his generally tired look would not frighten her too much.

PLOT TWIST:

This is out of the complete blue, but...
Nobody really knows what Shou's natural hair-colour is.
Since it's all dyed silver.
...and when I have to find a picture for his brother (probably a total NPC who doesn't even show up, but his name is Yuusha)...
...WHAT ARE YOUR HEADCANNONS FOR HIS NATURAL HAIR, GUYS?
OH MY GOD THE SHIPS THEY'RE SAILING
HALP

Ryoki seems like she'd be a match made in heaven for Shou! (BUT YUTARO IS LIKE THE SEXY EQUIVALENT SATAN SENT BECAUSE WHY NOT I MEAN DOESN'T HE REMIND YOU OF SEBASTIAN FROM BLACK BUTLER WHY AM I FANGIRLING THIS HARD)
Ryoki and Shou would be quite a pair, he'd be red and flustered and often caught off guard by her flirting, I bet. And he'd shove his hands in his pockets and lean back, away from her, while she'd probably be standing right there with her hands on her hips and grinning.
"M...mnhgh, Miss...Ryoki. G-gah!"
I still don't know for sure who he should be with. Too many lovely ladies to even choose from. ;)

As for other ships:

James and Molly, definitely! I mean, who coulda' doubted those kids?
Kaori and Livius was a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY strong ship for me, for some reason. Sadly, @Oz has not posted yet. :( We hope to hear from you soon! (And if things get too hectic, don't worry! We understand!)
James and (you're gonna laugh), but I think Sakura would be super adorable too.

Zac and Sabine maybe, too...for some reason, I can totally imagine her being lifted up and spun around by him and it's adorable.

Nick and Nori best ship 4evr. Actually, I always shipped Nori and DJ DANGERMOUSE BECAUSE HOLLA.
...Nori and Kyle though too... :')
To be completely honest, back in the old Shine City, I shipped Shou x Nori really hard. Because what is a good relationship if not based off of blue orchids?

Amaya needs someone more sombre for her, though.
...so I totally see Amaya x Shou happening, for real. Someone to just take her into his arms from behind and nuzzle into her hair and smirk and tell her in that husky voice that tastes like lollipops and cigarette smoke (plot twist she hates smokers, so maybe she could help him stop and maybe more plot twist it was a habit he picked up after Alex died, so with a new lover, he finally lets go of the last piece of her he held onto?
...what.)

Shizuka and Yutaro, I feel. Because he'd take good care of her in Shou's absence...
Actually, I really like the idea of Amaya and Yutaro too, for whatever reason...eeeeh.

Zac and Akane is a ship that I can totally see blossoming, too.

Am I forgetting any ships? I hope not.
Apart from Aoi and Rosanna...

Aoi and Ryoki Yutaro, yummy delicious.
And...

Rosanna and Shou should also be a thing. Why aren't they a thing? Why can't Shou x Everyone/Everything be a thing?!
In the stead of that, Rosanna and Zac. :')

Note: @Dynamo Frokane Boss, we're gonna need some more men up in this crib!
So if anyone knows anyone who'd be interested in contributing for a male character, and would love this kind of goofy RP, let us know. :)

Hey, boss! @Dynamo Frokane
(I'll get to Aoi when I have time qq)

What are all your ships for our current cast? Go, go, go!
Shou's eyes widened in surprise at the manner in which Shizuka began to panic, and he held up his hands to reassure her that everything was fine, and he wouldn't have had her head if she hadn't marked the papers (he'd have done it himself anyway worst case scenario). Romeo rested his head on her lap, blinking up at the young woman affectionately. He was, if not Shou, the receiver of most of her affections.

He smiled both innocently and nonchalantly (or was it knowingly?) over at Nick, who began to grow increasingly more fidgety. Something about the moment was peculiar, indeed, and just as he mentioned the lack of fangirls around the professor, when he went to interject, a bouncy little lady with pink hair so bright it startled Shou a little came into view.

...she was so young, he only just caught himself from asking why she shouldn't be at home this late. It was nearing 9:30, in the evening, after all. Fortunately, after a handful of seconds of staring with his mouth slightly agape at how to answer the question, it registered where he had seen her before. She was a student of a colleague of his, and often made rounds around the staff room asking for them.
Ah, I...see now.

"A paper, at this hour...?" he began, glancing at the girl blankly. It was definitely odd, but for some reason, be it his politeness or otherwise, he could not have turned her down. "...I suppose I could look at it, young lady, but I'm sure Ms. Fay would be better suited to such a task. You're one of her students, are you not? I'll convey it to her tomorrow if you hand it to me."
He gave her a reassuring smile, followed by a tiny wink as he gripped the stick of the vanilla cream flavoured lollipop he was having between two of his fingers. "We'll make sure she gets it before the weekend, so you won't get in trouble, little lady."

"Shizuka, I-" he turned back to the girl and upon expecting to find Nick still there, found the seat beside her absolutely empty. Romeo had gone to inspect this new girl's hand, sitting at her feet and being quite large compared to her petite frame. His tail thumped quietly against the ground.

"...I see." Shou murmured, resting his cheek in his palm and his elbow on the table. He gazed right at Shizuka, who still seemed stiff and nervous in her chair, and after a moment of hesitation he leaned in closer.
His voice in a soft, husky whisper now, he could have almost kissed her, but that did not seem to be his intention.
Incongruous with his voice, his facial features actually remained...worried?
"It's very late, Miss Otonashi. I would be gutted if I were to let anything happen to one of my students, this late. Would you allow me to walk you home, at the very least?"

Saturday, 10:30 AM.

Shou woke up with a raging headache.
...again. Fridays were those days where you'd let loose irresponsibly and inevitably regret it every Saturday. Every single Saturday.
His routine was pretty usual, but Saturdays were one of those exception days where he had the liberty to do as he wanted. After Friday night gambling and staying out way too late and a glass too many at the casino, he never thought he'd get accustomed to this feeling, but in an odd way, he did.

The morning consisted of odd jobs, like sating one's hunger with measly sandwiches and becoming more...presentable. His disheveled hair had a mixed reputation amongst his students. It was either loved or hated and noting but absolute.
This morning, he preferred to style it a little better.

After a quick shower and a lazy throwing on some casual clothes consisting of a scarf, beige turtleneck and a pair of dark jeans, and a cologne with a woody scent, he took a quick espresso before leaving the house with his car keys in tow, and two dogs well fed and left to spend the day relaxing as well.

A bad habit as it had become, he was itching for something from the Mochavine. Anything, really. It was one of those places that kept you coming back.
...and he never did see the cute barista, April, ever again. It was disheartening and he had only hoped she had moved on to something better, living a happier life.

Parking the car quite close by, he shoved his hands in his pockets and shivered against the lingering cold, before pushing the glass doors open and being met with the ever present warmth of the cafe and bar.
What he hadn't anticipated, however, was the noise.

The place looked completely packed!

He stood there, a little stunned, not finding a single table free. Frankly, that really was not in his plans.
There were lots of seats where he could join someone else, though. Many men and women occupied single tables.
Maybe he could...

Perhaps I should wait for someone to seat me. I'm sure they'll have something, anything, free. If not...goodness, will I really have to sit with someone for something to...eat? What a Friday...winter must be bringing in so many tourists, too
Bumpy-trot?
@Narcotic Dollie
Sweet baby Narcy! :') I'm so glad to have you back!

And hello, fresh new faces! Welcome to Shine City!
Amaya and Nori, our favourite blondes, but Shou has a thing for brunettes with hazel eyes. Probably because they remind him of Alex...
...aaaah well. @Verdaux
(I see you've changed the picture since then so we can see it. Thank you!)

@Delta44
A woman above 25, maybe...I'm not into pedophilia, surprisingly. xD
Anything you'd like, really. Pick the gender you'd like to play, because we're almost at break-even at this point, which is lovely.

Though oh my god, Shou and Yutaro would actually make the perfect couple.
Passionate yaoi ensues.

@Takashi

And @BeastofDestiny, my darling, would you not agree it is positively beautifully chaotic anyway with just one character per person now? :') I love it.
However, side characters are a full on okay! Most have one but they're NPCs and you shouldn't be able to date them...
