Current In the beginning were the Words, and the Words made the world. I am the Words. The Words are everything. Where the Words end the world ends. You cannot go forward in an absence of space. Repeat.

Bio

Call me Ginger!

Future veterinarian, presently irreverently funny self-deprecator and literature hobbyist.
Casual-advanced. 1x1 and Group RP, no preference.
Up to make mischief, make memories, and make a fool of myself.
And maybe roleplay a little on the side. :)
Dating @Mateotis who is much more active than I am here, but also decidedly a much more gifted writer/poet. Hound him if you're looking for me.
A little sickly and evidently severely lacking in impulse-control, so patience is appreciated in general.

I'll remain forever royal,
I'll repay my parents' debt.
Duty means doing the things your heart may well regret.

And with that, around the same time, four years later...
Shou Matsuoka, who had lost his fiancée, now has also lost his best friend.
And he had absolutely no idea what had happened.

Expect a tragic breakdown scene if ever he meets Nori and she tells him. That's gotta hurt like hell, even I in real life feel bad.

@Bozo Sniff, evil...
...but Dee definitely has me interested.
@Rekaigan A genetics major! Oh, Shou is going to just love Kazu. :D
He's super passionate about it, himself. Of course, it's his subject area of choice, too...
@Daxam I volunteer Tomoko as tribute. :)

Also, @Stern Algorithm Shou sent Shizuka a text about marking papers, hopefully she doesn't have too much fun!
;)
It was a little jarring seeing two people I quite admire in an argument...
:(
But it's over, huzzah! Now to get back to bitching.
:)

I actually really dislike when someone is not used to the same temperature as you and then you fight over the thermostat oh my god.
And when they lose their shit when you flip it? Yeeeah...

I never thought 'room temperature' would ever be a subjective term, as a child and now as a budding science student.
Ha! Boy was I wrong.

And @Dinh AaronMk Amen.
Being someone who lives in the middle east (which might explain my reptilian preferences and affinity to the heat), it's not...fun.
What I especially hate is the process of visa acquisition. Like, if you're born in certain countries, nobody bats an eye, even if you're awful. But if you're say, Syrian for example, everyone loses their shit.

I have friends who suffer it.
Smh, it makes me so mad.
@Dynamo Frokane Hey boss :)

I know, I just sent Shou out for a smoke on the veranda don't worry.
It's still Sunday
When in doubt, be sadface panda always.

Besides, it seemed like a good way to wrap up the events of Sunday and leave Shou doing nothing in particular and preparing for the time-skip to Sunday. :) As soon as boss does, that is. And then we can have Christmas and new year sometime soon.
It's a shame he doesn't frequent the casinos on Sunday nights, he should really have met Amimmity. And seen Ryoki and Yutaro again...
Perhaps another day,
Another biology class.
9:30 PM, Sunday

"Well, it was worth a shot." the silver haired professor stared hard at his phone. He had just met one of his best friends the day before, and not even having had the decency to take down his new address or his new number in his inebriated state, he was regretting it now.
He said outside the door of a familiar old house. Nobody came to the door. This was where Oliver J. Holland himself used to live, all those years ago. Though it took him a little while to get there, especially in the rain, it was useless. Nobody was in.

Little did the man know that there was a very peculiar reason that the detective wasn't in tonight.
He quietly made his exit, German Shepherd cross keeping the man's stride by his side. The building must have smelled of the detective, because the dog surely was excited to stand at a familiar entryway once more. But nobody was in. Shou hadn't noticed Romeo's behaviour, either.

Pulling the silvery scarf he wore up to cover his face, the couple exited the premises and into the Ford, champagne green colour an ominous murky olive in the night's light.

The earlier part of the day was reflected on as the man cruised through the streets of ever-illuminated Shine Junction, on his way back home. A Sunday meant an early morning the day after. Mondays meant...work.
He had, however, spent the day doing everything and nothing. After speaking to Ryoki, he did end up heading to the Tiny Snowflake. Unfortunately, he just brushed past a blonde waitress who appeared to be leaving, and when he entered, noticed they were a little short staffed. Nevertheless, he had a hearty brunch (by that time) and was off soon to do the usual Sunday routines of grocery shopping and picking out anything else he might require. The manner in which the rain was coming down hard, and had been all day, warranted the purchase of a single blue orchid stalk from The Enchanted Florist. He kept it in a little vial of water in a cup holder of his car, by the passenger seat where Romeo now sat with his nose on his paws and ears alert.

As he stared blankly out at the road, green light of a traffic light just turning red as the car was brought to a stop, and the light shining off the trails of raindrops streaking down the front of his car, he couldn't help but be lost in thought. It got late. And it got late fast.

One hand on the wheel, he used the opportunity to fish out the little piece of paper from earlier. Her name and numbers stared back at him.
Ryoki Mochizukki.

He pondered giving her a call, but decided against it. In two days, he had gotten two sets of phone numbers. Luck? Perhaps.

The light changed again, and Shou snapped out of his thoughts, pressing down on the accelerator to bring the vehicle back to life.

It would be a quiet night.

He drove for a while longer.

It would be a quiet night.

He pulled into the parking of his little house, rain still pouring.

It would be a quiet night.

The massive hole in the wall of the Enchanted Florist drifted to mind as he prepared himself a dinner of a bowl of cereal and a cigarette to smoke out on the veranda.

It would be a quiet night.

Washing up and shutting off the lights on the bottom floor, he made his way up and took a quick shower, however donning just a light robe as he grabbed the pack and made his way onto the veranda. A flicker of a flame and then a light trail of grey into the air.

A text to Shizuka asking how the marking was going buzzed on his cell.

He stared out at the skyline of Shine City.
Alessandra would have loved it.

It would be a quiet night.
Current status:

Smitten for all the male characters due to rl gender and fangirl hormones and shying away from the female characters all out of Shou's league - feeling confused but flirty.
@BeastofDestiny A-aah. ._.
Four yeses, too?

...you Americans confuse little old me oftentimes. Quite much.

...hers really is bigger than mine pls.

Now, since I've been so busy, I'm pondering what to do with Shou. If anything at all...
@lovely complex

Ah! The irony.
