Violet Ray

The room was bright. White walls surrounded them in this insidious room. Violet couldn't help but stare off into space, getting lost in what was left of her mind. Although, from the outside, it just looked as though she was staring blankly. Like a dog without a bone.

The food in front of her was plain and stale, she wasn't about to eat it and apparently she wasn't the only one. Her thoughts continued to race about the center and what she was going to do with herself in this place. What kind of hell are we in. That was the only thing she could think about. Everything was so new to her and nothing seemed right about this place.

It was more than just a prison.

Her frustrations built inside of her until she could not longer hold them back. With a swift swipe of her hand, she slapped the tray right off her table. This caused the tray's contents to fly wildly through the the air and landing on several unfortunate passers-by. She would never even notice, nor hesitate. She just continued to stare blankly.

I think I will have her join STEM. It seems like the most suitable place even though she still remains to be a feminist.

A Moonlit Hunt

River quietly entered the town hall from the door at the back of the room. William was already speaking to the group and she could tell that whatever it was, it was serious. She slunked to the center of the room where she leaned her shoulder against a wood beam to listen. His words were hard to comprehend with her tired mind but it was passionate and so she continued to follow along.

After his speech was through, she left out a sign of relief. No specific word of Lycans in the area yet, so I guess that's good. She thought to herself. She stood up straight and waited for the others to begin to leave as well, but only one headed out the doors, Ryan. She followed behind him, not wanting to be left in the room much longer.

River still did not know anyone from the town yet and was nervous to start getting acquainted with so many unfamiliar faces. However, she did sometimes wish that she had a familiar face to run to when she was unsure, but for now that was just something she was going to have to get used to. She continued her way outside into the dark sky that seemed to be forcing just a few lonely drops of rain from its clouds.

Appearance: River's wolf form is dreary compared to her rather elegant human form. Her hide is white and gray, unkept and typically matted with blood. While her skin is smooth and clear with a fair amount of freckles sprinkling her face. Her human hair is silver, similar to the furn of her wolf form. Her eyes in both forms are a golden amber.
Creature: Lycan
Type of Hunter: Vampire hunter when in human form. Keeps the fact that she is a Lycan a secret from other hunters.
How long have you been hunting/afflicted: Has been a Lycan since she was 18
Background: River grew up in a family of Vampire hunters who participated in hunts with both Vampire and Lycan hunters together. She trained with them since she was only a small child and became great at her craft. After a night out on the hunt, she was separated from the group. The darkness engulfed her as she became surrounded by three Lycan's. No mastery could have helped her at that point and she was bitten, left there in the forest to fend for herself. At first she tried to hide it from her family. But she had little control over it and she knew so little. Eventually, her family found out. At first, they feared her, claiming that she had let herself become a monster. It was not long after that they realized their love for her.
Her family helped her learn how to control it, all while trying to keep her hidden from society. The risk was starting to weigh in and there were too many questions being unanswered. Eventually, her family decided that it would be best that they support her from afar in order to keep her safe from the other hunters. That is when she moved to where she is now and devoted herself to controlling the beast within her.
Reason for Joining: The hunt is all that River knows, it's what she grew up in. She participates to keep people at bay about her and to help rid the world of the vampires that she hated so much.
Arrived: River just arrived to the village late in the night last night. Today will be the first she has seen of it in the daylight and in human form.

In case you haven't read the last few OOC posts, the original GM has gone AWOL and, through a bloody civil war that pit brother against brother and friend against friend, I became the new GM... Okay maybe it didn't happen quite like that, but the point is I'm the captain now so I'm choosing who gets accepted and who isn't. And I say... your character looks good. @TheUnknowable I am not sure how the internet would work but I assume she would be able to use them just fine so long as they are run on older technology. She is essence has no existence when it comes to technology. So any technology that requires and actual presence to function would not work with her such as mentioned before. However, she still has her physical presence that allows her to type on a keyboard or possibly use a landline (though I'm not sure where it would still record a voice). She may just have to use typed communication when in long distances.

@Vocab That would be fine. Espionage is kind of the line I was thinking of leading her down since it could help in multiple facets of the story. So if I am accepted I'm sure I would do fine in your faction.

Name: Violet Ray

Ability: http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Technological_Invisibility Violet is invisible to technological means of surveillance and communication. Security systems, motion sensors, and laser trips are all useless in detecting her. She puts off not heat signal and cannot be picked up by thermal camera's or heat seeking devices. She also cannot be photographed or video taped, this is something sometimes referred to as the vampire effect.
The down side to this ability is that she is also not able to use any form of advanced technologies such as touch screens, video communication, fingerprinting, etc. She is not able to communicate via cell phone or radio wave. Her interactions have to be personal to varying degrees.

Biography: Ray grew up in the foster care system in downtown Chicago. Here she was taken in at the age of 12 by a typical American family consisting of a mom, a dad, three biological children and 7 adoptive children. However, soon after she was adopted, she began to start noticing strange occurrences happening while she would go out with the family.
Her adoptive family would take a family trip to Disneyland every year. It was her first time on the trip and more importantly, her first time on a plane. Violet remained excited as they got in line for the security check. Her bags were placed in the machine and she was asked to walk through the x-ray machine and metal detector. The officer asked her to step to the side so they could use the wand on her. The machine detected nothing and they sent her on her way, stating that the x-ray machine must have a 'bug' and was not picking up her image. She brushed it off and thought nothing more of it until more strange occurrences started happening. Every year during the trip through the airport the same thing would happen but only to her.
So she received her first cell phone at the age of 16, but not matter what she did, she could never get anyone to hear her through the phone. Similar instances like these happened until she reached 18 and she was now on her own. Soon her awareness of her abilities grew stronger as she tested every theory she had about what was happening to her. She would then start to learn how to use this power.

Personality: Violet is a free spirit. She is reserved and keeps to herself most of the time. Because of her tribes reverence towards her, she is used to being a leader. She can be vindictive if double crossed but tends to make close bonds that keep situations like that from occurring often. With a "take not shit" attitude, violet tends to keep people on their toes and tends to have a taste for power.
