Henryk payed little attention to Rama as he walked by wet and smelling like blood. He walked over and leaned on the wall of one of the buildings. He still kept an eye out for whoever or whatever was hiding to come out. He let his axe rest against the wall next to him within arms reach. He eventually noticed that one of the new hunters was approaching a wolf, he'd picked up that wolf's scent stalking around on occasion before and knew it was a lycan, he didn't try to intervene but kept an eye on the two as well.

Pain shot up Egbert's right arm. The severed part mostly though, staring into his hand, pain yet again shot through it. Lycans usually didn't regenerate limbs, that part was new to him, but he somehow managed to get his arm back after his brother ripped it off at the elbow. For forty years he pondered how the hell that happened, and still he had no answer.

"I'll pout about that later. I've got to find the guy who brought this together, I need to kill something, hopefully not him." Egbert pushed himself upwards slowly, getting his feet under him was hard, being old kinda did that to you. Egbert flared his jacked and checked all of his equipment. Nearly out of methane, he'd have to fix that, can't burn something with no fuel to burn it with. Egbert threw his coat back over his hips, re-concealing the armory that laid under it. He dipped his hands into a jar of salt he left on the dock, rubbing them together vigorously, salt on your hands helped fight vampires, throw it in their eyes and they're as helpless as any man. Egbert picked up the jar of salt and threw it into the water, it was his ritual to throw salt into water for good luck, he didn't know why he did it, but he always had, sewer water usually, though above ground water was not new to him. He finally turned around, took one last look at the sky, and then walked back into town.

The new arrivals already annoyed him, as soon as he saw them he knew that he was the most experienced hunter there, though one of the Lycans looked woefully out of place in this time period. He snorted and then walked into the closest building that wasn't occupied. The door fell off the hinges as he opened it. Egbert threw off his jacket, revealing his many devices and traps. He wore Kevlar armor with many things strapped to it. Three closed bear traps, some vodka with cloth in it, knives, pistols, and the elephant in the room, the saber on his hip. Egbert took off the Kevlar vest, and by extension, all that was on it, revealing a yellowed white T-shirt and black jeans under it. Egbert grabbed a scroll tied piece of plastic, unraveling it to reveal a bed-roll. Egbert laid down upon it, and went to sleep, nightmares were sure to come.

Do not continue brother! You've exhausted your last chance!

Roze was happy to hear a positive response, and with another smile towards the group, walked into the village.

It had been fairly easy to find an empty building - she'd even managed to find one with an intact roof and walls. After throwing down her sleeping bag and blankets on a somewhat clean patch of floor, Roze began pawing through her large bags. Within them were as many weapons she had managed to carry, along with a few other essentials like holy water, silver, various religious books, salt, iron pellets...

Oh. And clothes.

Once somewhat unpacked and settled in, Roze changed her clothes, removing her heavy travelling clothes and putting something a wee bit lighter on - a cotton sweater, with a leather jacket thrown over the top. With her scarf and heavier coat removed, one could quite easily see the several bite scars peppering her neck - a few years ago, she would have gone out of her to cover them up, even in the hot summer months. But now, there was no point, especially if she was going to be spending quite a bit of time with these people. But in no time, her apparently enticing smell would attract attention, and the scars would eventually be known to everyone.

Might as well show 'em off now." Roze muttered to herself as she stepped outside, taking in her surroundings. There were a few people milling around, none of them looking all that dangerous - apart from this one guy who was covered in blood. Roze sincerely doubted that a vagrant would be comfortable chilling in this place with the people that were here, and there was no way in Hell a human hunter would be comfortable walking around like that.

Which left her with the conclusion of either a Lycan or a Vampire - either way, she would be giving him a wide berth. He looked the type to rip her neck open without hesitation, just because she was a delicacy.

Instead Roze walked in the opposite direction, towards the seafront.

Ingrid had begun familiarizing herself with the village, seemingly walking about aimlessly as she inspected the various empty buildings. As she walked, she took note of each hunter she passed. They were a diverse lot, that much was certain. Even in unfamiliar territory, her personality was nearly entirely unfazed. She meandered about, gingerly humming to herself and swinging the briefcase back and forth in her right hand. As she walked, she took note of a rather intriguing member of their new group. The man appeared homeless, or at least he seemed that way. Even if the aroma of blood were to be completely ignored, he seemed like a rough fellow; a man most would probably avoid. Thus, Ingrid was led to follow him.

Eventually, the strange, smelly man came to a stop, and began producing a multitude of machetes from his coat. Quizzically, Ingrid watched as he unloaded blade after blade from his person. For a moment, she was impressed that he'd managed to store so many. A quick overview of the man strongly suggested that he was a vampire, and if her intuition was to be trusted, not a very old one. A small smirk crossed Ingrid's lips as the man dropped the last of his weapons. Seemingly with no regard for normalcy or her own safety, the woman strode over to Rama, still grinning. "Quite the collection you got there." She motioned towards the pile of blades with a nod.

The worn hunter felt rather at peace within the candlelit town hall. Now he had two different pieces of paper on his lap, and he repeatedly read each one over. They were both from two different Night Hunter Organizations. One from the North American region, and the other from the Primary Night Hunter's Hall in Europe. William still had a few friends left back in his previous place of work, but his good friends were long gone. He slid the letter from Europe back into his coat, and continued to read over the other. The letter spoke mostly of the activity in Maine, and about the few things the hunter and his group should be on the lookout for. Maine certainly wasn't short of things to do, but William knew he shouldn't stay here for too long.

William left his seat and approached the podium at the front of the town hall. He left the letter there and paced back to the front door. By the entrance was a slightly rusted and cracked bell. He gave it a good couple of rings, the noise being easily heard throughout the village. With that, he walked back down the aisle and returned to the podium. It was time for the hunt to begin.

Allowed large, rounded auds to flatten upon skulls surface, blend of fur almost concealing them completely as nasal bridge rippled lifting curtain of lip and baring quick glimpse of hidden ivory daggers. Bright hues watching as what smelt like a human approached, no vocal was made by herself as she quickly glanced about watching others arrange what they needed alongside vanishing within buildings innards. The sound of human treating her as if she was a house pet caused a snarl to emerge as she shook out her scruff and paced around him out of the brush further, her size more visible at this point and quickly separating her from the standard domesticated dog, "Oh boy," was all she could even think at the way the strange person seemed so clueless, "What kind of hunter is he even meant to be?". Thick pelt shuddered over large silhouette as she allowed slither of pale pink flesh to emerge and run down maws length, she would of shifted by now, but she had nothing to put on at this point so she just prayed she wasn't too high of a target by the hunters that seemed to fill this unnatural group.

Ace perked up as the sound of ringing bells struck her ears, the sound very loud and partially irritating as she huffed hefty breath and replaced her sight upon the closest figure of young human. "Guess I'll just follow him... He doesn't seem so dangerous compared to the rest," she'd allow to pass through her mind. She'd wait for him to move towards where the group was to assemble before trailing after him and keeping a wary distance, she had little to offer to the group at this point, but she was a quick learner in most things and would listen in and follow along until she was at all needed. She just hoped she'd find some form of clothing soon so she could return to a more comfortable size and blend a little better with the crowd rather than sticking out like a sore thumb.

Rowan Hurst is a strange looking man with jet blood red hair and dark brown eyes. However his right eye is covered with an eye patch and it looks like little black veins connect to it at the edges of the eyepatch. His figure is more or less rather meek compared to many of the warriors coming in. Had he been a vampire or at least someone able to shapeshift into a werewolf his meager fortitude wouldn't be that much of a problem. Alas he is but only human. Humans are the weakest of the species but strangely he never felt any desire to be anything else.

Getting up slowly out of his bed he looks about the nearly empty room. There is a single twin size bed in a wooden room with nothing on the walls but shreds of old and decayed wallpaper. There is a single tiny dresser on the other side of the vacant room which is still covered in dust from its lack of use. He had already unpacked many of his things into the dresser but all of his 'essentials' were still in his bag. Standing now he makes his way to the bag and opens it with a snap. The black leather bag opens easily and its highly organized inside. He does a quick double count of all of his items, several bottles of holy water, jars of varying substances (most of which look like slightly different colors of dust), a silver amulet with a strange design, chalk and a tiny book far to small to be a book of scripture.

With a look outside Rowan suddenly realizes what time it is. He must have slept far longer than he had intended. The sun was already on its way down. Reaching into his vest pocket he pulls out an old wind up pocket watch. He flips it open and a small picture of himself with an older priest decorates the other side of the watch. Scowling at the time he quickly closes the bag and walks out of the room. he didn't bother to turn off the light as the light didn't work in that room. It didn't work in any room actually as there had been no power to this building for quite some time. He liked it specifically because it was rather quiet and there was less broken glass than the average abandoned building in this small god-forsaken town. He made a quick mental note to get to work on the electricity problem when he was able to. But today was the day the rest of the people were supposed to arrive.

Stepping out of the front door he closes it behind him carefully. Turning to look at the setting sun over the ocean port. The salty fresh air filled his lungs and it just took it in for a moment. However he started to shiver slightly as it was getting rather cold and the port wind didn't help matters in the slightest. Though a new face appeared in his line of vision as Roze had made her way in his general direction. Of course he highly doubted that she had done so intentionally and probably was just going to look at the ocean. None the less he felt the need to approach her.

"Hello there!" Rowan says with a slightly Irish accent. It seems he has mostly lost what was once a stronger accent but you can still hear it faintly. "You one of the new ones to arrive today? My name is Rowan. Pleased to make your acquaintance miss..." he lets his sentence trail to give her an opportunity to introduce herself.

"Ooh, you're a big girl aren't ya'?" Ryan said now that she had gotten closer. He was suddenly startled by the sound of ringing bells, his attention soon taken off of Acacia and toward town hall. Seems they want everyone to gather up. He turned back to the "dog" he had been previously talking to, Ryan had still not realized his mistake even after she exited the bushes and allowed him to get a better look at her. "Come on, girl. If you've got an owner, I'm sure we'll find them. If not, maybe I can keep ya'," Ryan said cheerfully as he made his way to what he assumed to be the group's improvised headquarters.

Opening the door to let Acacia enter first, always the gentleman that Ryan, the red-haired young man entered afterward and took a seat on one of the benches in the middle of the rows, next to the walkway. First, he took in his surroundings. Besides himself and the lycanthrope-girl beside him, the only person in the town hall was the man that had called them here and had met him at the edge of town. What was his name, again? William, right? Ryan then turned toward Acacia. Seeing such a cute animal, yes he apparently found wolves to be cute, he had to fight the urge to begin petting and scratching behind her ears by sitting on his hands. Even though she had followed him inside, he wasn't completely oblivious to the fact that she had bared her teeth at him when he first approached her. Ryan had the suspicion that Acacia would most likely bite his hand off he tried to touch her now.

Henryk's attention was caught by the bell ringing on the town hall. He'd since stopped watching the Red haired boy and the wolf and kept an eye on the tree line but now he picked his axe back up and brought it up over his shoulder and made his way to the large building in the center of town. He entered just after Ryan and Acacia, though instead of taking a seat in the middle he took up a spot at the back of the room, somewhere he could see everyone when the meeting started. He set his axe back down beside him, leaning it on the wall and doing the same with his weathered-looking blunderbuss before leaning back in the chair and waiting for everyone to gather.

Ivory wasn't sure how much time had passed since she came inside the bar, but it was long enough to allow her to drift off to sleep for a short while without her even realizing it. However, the sound of a bell rang through the small village, instantly waking the light sleeper up. The sudden noise undoubtedly startled her, but it only took a few moments for her to regain her composure and get to her feet. It was safe to assume that the ringing was the cue that the meeting was about to start.

After grabbing her crossbow and calling Tikaani to her side, she began the short trip to the town hall.

Once she had opened the doors and stepped inside she observed those that had already gathered in the room. Of course, the first to catch her eye was the canine, which she immediately scowled at. It didn't take an expert to figure out that it wasn't someone's pet. The fact that Tikaani had begun growling only supported her assumption. Not wanting to cause a scene, especially in front of a group that undoubtedly had other beasts in it, she whispered a word of reassurance to her companion and beckoned him over to one of the far walls and took a seat near the edge.

"I've returned brother! You will pay!" "Do your worst Egbert!" Flames erupted around the hall. James Pitt raised his hands and tendrils made of blood shot out of his wrists. "You fall here!" More flame, loud noises of tendril striking ground, blood splattering on the walls. Egbert fell to the ground, his flamethrower slamming into it as well, letting out it's last light, before the propane tank exploded, fire erupting from it in a fantastic fireball. Egbert flew into a wall back first, coughing up blood and bone. He sat on the ground for a second, coughing from the smoke and from the bone lodged deeply in his heart. He stumbled to his feet, smoke and fire ravaging the once beautiful and elegant manor. Then a wave of flaming liquid flew from the inferno, transforming into a flaming aberration that once was James Pitt. Egbert couldn't even react before his saber buried itself in his chest. Egbert coughed up blood, staring into the eye sockets that once held James' eyes, traitor's eyes, bastard's eyes. James lifted Egbert by the throat, and drew the saber loose from Egbert's rib-cage, the grind of sword against blood filling the room. He let out a deafening screech, the sound of a true terror of the night, like a dying animal mixed with true, unadulterated anger. James held for one second longer, and decapitated Egbert with a stroke so fast that he couldn't even scream. Egbert's arms fell limp, James dropping him to the ground with a thump, his head rolled to James' feet. James collected Egbert's head in his hand, held it to the sky and let out the screech of a dead soul before the manor collapsed on top of him.

Egbert awoke, flinging himself up into a sit. He raked his hands through what little hair he had left, his hands rejoining on his nose, he rubbed his face vigorously for a few seconds before he heard a ringing. Egbert stood up and grabbed all of his things, he looked out the window to see the other hunters coalescing at the town hall. He looked at a clock on the wall, it somehow still was running after so long of the house being abandoned, just a few minutes after he fell asleep. Egbert sighed, and then threw on his coat, strapping his things to himself, before walking out of the door to the town hall.

Egbert arrived at the town hall, and immediately he felt a surge of... something upon seeing Henryk, he didn't know why. Shrugging, he decided to speak to the old lycan, something interested him about the man. He walked over to where Henryk was sitting and dropped his jacket at the lycan's feet. "That was to get your attention, I have no ambition of sleeping with you this fine night, I just wanted to ask you a few questions." Egbert said, crossing his arms, an action that was made harder by the amount of weaponry strapped to him.

As the new voice pierced the quiet of the night, Roze turned swiftly, her eyes doing a small double-take at the appearance of the young man before her. He didn't look to be any older than herself, but as for his species... he didn't have any characteristics of a Lycan or a Vampire... but, shit, he wasn't a regular old human.

"...I'm Roze." She said after a moment of hesitation, turning fully to face Rowan. He had a hint of a foreign accent about him, and seemed to be rather chipper for a hunter. Roze unfolded her arms casually, placing a hand on her hip. She'd prefer to have her hands free around strangers - far easier to go for a knife when you haven't tangled yourself up.

"Yeah, I just arrived. This place sure is..." She trailed off, glancing around at the dilapidated housing. "...cosy." She finally said with a smile. Well, at the very least she could say that she'd stayed in worse places.
Absent-mindedly rubbing her bare neck - the scars always seemed to ache somewhat in cold weather - she glanced up as the tolling of a bell sounded from the center of the community.

"Gods, I hope that's a dinner bell." She muttered hopefully, stomach growling as if to accentuate her words. Looking back at Rowan, she gave him another smile. "Care to accompany me to the town hall? I'm better company than some of the other things I've seen running about this place."

Henryk's gaze lingered on Ivory and her hound as they entered and followed them till they took a spot off to the side. Shortly after his attention was drawn around to Egbert as he dropped a jacket at his feet. He looked up at the weapon-clad hunter as he spoke and folded his arms across his chest before responding "If your questions pertain as to what we will be doing or why we are doing it you're best off asking William. other than that i suppose you could ask me whatever's on your mind. but i'll not guarantee an answer." @bluetommy2

As the last of the hunters entered town hall, William cleared his throat for the news he was about to give. "Thank you all for joining us tonight," he began. "Recently, there has been a major decline in Night Hunters and, regardless of whether you've noticed it yourself or not, most night spawn have. Activity has gone through the roof and the Night Hunters are spread too thin to deal with it. That's where we come in. I left the Night Hunters because they refused to let this plan pass, but this a war and they can't fight it on their own. They need allies and that's all the more proven by this letter here," the worn hunter said as he lifted up one of the papers that he had been staring at not too long ago, bringing it to the attention of everyone in the room. "Despite the number of people who disagreed with me, there are a few smart men in that organization. This is a scouting report of a forest not too far from here. There was a fairly large cabin found out there in the middle of nowhere, and it was littered with human remains. Upon closer inspection, the scouts realized that the cabin's occupants were necromancers. Ill-equipped and outnumbered, the scouts returned back only to be told to 'let the situation handle itself.' Basically, wait and hope for the best. With how much magic was detected in that area though, the only thing that will come out of this are the deaths of a lot of innocent people. We can't let that happen. They'll have the advantage if we attack at night, so we leave tomorrow before dawn. That way, we arrive just as the sun is beginning to rise. Now everybody find a place to rest for tonight. Dismissed," he finished, walking away from the podium and to his own claimed sleeping quarters. Let's hope they can put their differences aside long enough for me to get a good night's sleep. I can already tell there might be trouble brewing between some of them.

Ryan listened to William's speech with apt attention. The young man felt like he was about to go on a mission to save the world from complete annihilation. This... is going to be... soooo epic! It was once the veteran hunter had told everyone to leave that Ryan realized that his leg had been bouncing up and down with excitement for almost the entire time. Oops. Hope no one found that irritating or anything. Rising from his seat, he let out a loud yawn while making several very exaggerated stretches. The young hunter began to walk towards the aisle to leave until he noticed Acacia still sitting next to him. "Hey girl, want to head to my truck and sleep with me? It's probably a lot more comfortable than some rotting, wooden buildings. Soft chairs and everything. Even got blankets," he told her excitedly while kneeling down in front of her so he'd be at eye level. Wait, she's a dog. She probably doesn't even understand what I'm saying. He shrugged before getting back to his feet. Oh well, hopefully she'll follow. As Ryan walked into the frigid air outside, he let out a small chuckle. Funny. If she was a human girl, what I said would've been interpreted completely differently. Hehe. Like I'd ever have the courage to ask that of a real girl... or the douchebag-like personality as well.

River quietly entered the town hall from the door at the back of the room. William was already speaking to the group and she could tell that whatever it was, it was serious. She slunked to the center of the room where she leaned her shoulder against a wood beam to listen. His words were hard to comprehend with her tired mind but it was passionate and so she continued to follow along.

After his speech was through, she left out a sign of relief. No specific word of Lycans in the area yet, so I guess that's good. She thought to herself. She stood up straight and waited for the others to begin to leave as well, but only one headed out the doors, Ryan. She followed behind him, not wanting to be left in the room much longer.

River still did not know anyone from the town yet and was nervous to start getting acquainted with so many unfamiliar faces. However, she did sometimes wish that she had a familiar face to run to when she was unsure, but for now that was just something she was going to have to get used to. She continued her way outside into the dark sky that seemed to be forcing just a few lonely drops of rain from its clouds.
