Daggerfall Castle, City of Daggerfall

A figure stood silently behind a castle window, a gloved hand parting the curtains enough to catch a glimpse at the crowd steadily growing larger just outside of the castle grounds. Merchants closed their shops in the market early, taverns ran short-staffed, and the Knights of the Dragon increased their presence in the streets as a general sense of unease settled in. The people of High Rock had known nothing but prosperity throughout the Fourth Era, the Great War itself having little affect on their daily lives (apart from those who fought). Daggerfall had even sustained itself quite adequately after the fall of Wayrest, one of the major hubs of trade in the Iliac Bay, but combined with the recent fall of Sentinel... even the common-folk knew times were about to get rough.

"It is just as I said when this whole damned conflict in Hammerfell started." The hand drew away from the curtain, the man pivoting sharply on his heels. "We'd have to take action sooner or later, but you'd rather keep the peace despite the consequences of inaction. Well, look what you've accomplished now. Wayrest itself lies in the hand of mercenaries and corsairs, dragons are ransacking Orsinium, and the Aldmeri Dominion are raping the children of Yokuda." His gaze fell down upon an infirm figure lying in the nearby bed, a soft sigh escaping his lips as he took several measure steps over to the bedside. "Conflict wasn't in your nature, was it?" He paused, "Or your fathers before you."

"A-alboran." A series of weak mummers came from the otherwise silent and infirm king.

"I suppose even now as your own voice seems to fail you, you'd attempt to steer Daggerfall away from intervention, but you've not to worry about such matters anymore. I believe that this affliction you now face in the wake of Sentinel's fall is a sign that you're no longer fit to rule Daggerfall." Two hands reached out to gently remove the pillow from underneath the kings head as he spoke. "I'll miss you, father." He spoke under his breath as he pressed the pillow tightly against his fathers face.

@NarcolepticSailor, your post?

Finishing it up now, only one question who exactly is Alunaushbah? I'm not seeing any other mention of him in the thread and a google search doesn't turn anything up.

*Hugs*

Well, gtg delete the part of my future GM Post dealing with High Rock, then.

When is that post supposed to go up? I can send my orders ahead of my post if you'd like.
Apologies for my absence, a close friend was severely depressed and attempted suicide and I haven't been home much. I'll have a post thrown up tomorrow afternoon.

Nation: The Kingdom of Daggerfall

Location: The Kingdom of Daggerfall is composed of two regions; Glenumbra the westernmost region of High Rock, encompassing most of the large peninsula separating the Iliac Bay from the Eltheric Ocean, and Betony a heavily fortified island at the mouth of the Iliac Bay. Daggerfall borders Wayrest (more on Wayrest later) to the east and the Kingdom of Shornhelm to the north, however Shornhelm and Daggerfall are separated by the King's Guard mountains.

Total Military Numbers:
Knights of the Dragon; 10,000
Knights of the Owl; 2,500
Knights of the Wolf; 1,500
Levies; 30,000
Naval Forces; 6,500

Icon: The Crest of Daggerfall mimics that of the former Daggerfall Covenant which had united the various factions in the Iliac Bay region during the Second Era.

History: The Kingdom of Daggerfall, founded in the first era, is not only the oldest of Kingdom in High Rock, but the staunchest supporter of the Empire. The City of Daggerfall is the de facto "capital" of all the Imperial Province of High Rock and it is perhaps due to this that it serves as a headquarters for the various guilds within the region, including the East Empire Company. In fact, Daggerfall has been the location of such prosperity that it seems to have escaped entirely the turmoil other regions have seen since the end of the war. There are multiple reasons that Daggerfall has continued to prosper where other nations have suffered be it through strength of arms or their own diplomatic resourcefulness.

While Daggerfall has always been a force to be reckoned with, boasting the largest and most powerful naval force in High Rock, it often preferred expanding through diplomacy rather than force of arms. The Kingdom of Daggerfall ever interested in maintaining peaceful relations with their neighbors former multiple bonds of marriage with various kingdoms in the Iliac bay area. This act would eventually lead to particular success with the Kingdom of Camlorn which would eventually find itself in union under Daggerfall towards the end of the Third Era. The union continued until the Kingdom of Camlorn was integrated into Daggerfall as a Duchy, the position of Duke of Camlorn typically being given to the heir-to-be.

In more recent history the neighboring Kingdom of Wayrest has fallen after having its capital city of the same name sacked and taken by a coalition of criminals, bandits, and pirates. This coalition has styled itself the Corsair Republic of Wayrest, using the city as a base to which raid outlying territories in the Illiac bay along with towns directly outside of the city. The King of Wayrest still maintains control over the majority of territories outside of Wayrest, but his forces are scattered and demoralized after failing to regain control of the city. An influx of refugees from Wayrest has been steadily filing into neighboring kingdoms including Daggerfall.

Daggerfall stands ready to defend both her territory and that of the Empires as it has steadily expanded its military might since the integration of Camlorn. An already formidable navy has only become stronger, along with an expanded force of knightly orders and levies that may be called upon if needed. The island of Betony has been transformed into a fortress to safeguard the mouth of the Iliac Bay from both the Dominion and Corsairs. Should Daggerfall decide to make war, it will surely be a force to reckon with.
Oops, my bad, Hammerfell did accept the offer of aid from the Direnni!

Yeah, but is only the Direnni aid they accepted? In the middle of filling out my thing just playing League at the same time.

Daggerfall is open, but partly NPCed; it's currently part of an Anti-Thalmor, Anti-Dragon Coalition that the Direnni are putting together, and is offering covert aid to Hammerfell.

Is it currently lending soldiers anywhere or is it only sending financial aid?
Is there anyone that is currently in control of the Kingdom of Daggerfall? I assume that I am not allowed to actually control the entirety of High Rock since it is actually five various Kingdoms. I'm down for playing Daggerfall though if it is currently open I will fill out an application immediately.

Didn't the bloodline die out during the events of Oblivion?

So long as it only pertained to the Septim bloodline. I believe that in Oblivion the last of them ended up dying when Martin went full Akatosh.
