You way overestimate China and Japan. The Russian Far East is the finest territory for guerilla operations in the whole world. Invading and defeating Russia from the east is impossible.

Basically this. I don't think that China or Japan can do anything else aside from having taken Vladivostok. I mean, are they going to force march through Siberia? They'd basically kill their soldiers so they can say they have control of basically nothing.

Russia's putting a lot into a war that it doesn't actually have a whole lot to gain from.Since we like complaining about things being unrealistic, it seems really weird that Russia dedicated the entirety of its forces to helping Prussia form Germany, so much so that it's probably going to default on its debt, is totally blockaded, its navy totally beaten, and is fighting a war on three separate fronts.

I don't think we should start going down this road again. As no matter what Russia is currently doing it is nothing comparable to the one that will eventually be brought up should this topic continue.

I feel so sad for glorious Rus. They have been fully blockaded and have lost the tsar's gem city in the Far East... I'll feel better once I see more of the motherland's enemies lying dead in the dust.

I don't imagine they can do a whole lot more in the far east unless they plan on killing themselves marching through Siberia.

Edit: By they I mean China and Japan.

In their defence (Ha see what I did there), they had the Carpathian mountains as allies.

Aren't the mountains passed now though?

You did good...with all your damn numbers. I'm curious to know how you knew we were going to invade though. Either way, it was just a preliminary shove. Wasn't expecting much. Why I only sent that many troops.

I've had that army positioned down there since the start of the war in anticipation of such an assault, then once Greece shifted sides it was fairly obvious that they might attempt the same thing since we're only a narrow passage apart.

Their effectiveness in battle comes in no small part due to their extensive use of sign language, which the allies have not yet decoded.

Indeed. We have found a way to work spaghetti into our sign language as to further confuse the 'allies'.

I love how the Greeks turned on the Coalition, only to launch a futile landing onto Italy. It will really suck if the Allies end up losing even after they switched sides.

I like how my officers don't understand how to proper use trains, but they manage to stem off two invasions of Italy along with push into Austria. Italian officers are best officers.

He started like 8 rps and seemed disturbed to me.

He was from 4chan. More specifically I believe /b

If people made more realistic decisions there would be less overall for Outcast to do, not more.

I concur.

I also don't believe there is anything "hyper-realistic" about what our concerns are in the first place. Nobody here expects the RP to follow in line with history, as WiRs are meant to deviate from the normal course of things. Except it happens in a manner which doesn't border on insanity and if something huge happens that doesn't make a whole lot of sense there should be consequences behind doing so. Many things that call for such have rarely been addressed properly, or if addressed got off extremely easily.

I threw it out there just to state that there is no point in nit picking as this rp long deviated from the proper historicaltimeline and am asserting it is pointless to nitpick on history as we know it as it is an alternative history and damn near anything can happen.

We aren't nitpicking on the fact that there is alternate history taking place. The main issue that a fair number of us have had for a while is the fact that a lot of the decisions made that have led to the alternate history doesn't make any sense and gives little or no consequence when there should be.

One strange event having happened in the past doesn't mean that we should all throw our arms in the air and not even pretend to make actions that are at least somewhat realistic.

Pretty much this. I don't want things to follow history to the book, but if things are to deviate from the normal path of things there at least needs to be some semblance of realism behind it. One of the rules of this entire NRP in the first place has to do with maintaining a sense of realism and I believe the example given had to do with 'gorillas in New York.'. I'm fairly certain some of the things that have come to pass have transcended that example and become something else entirely.
