Nariata, shall I post my character sheet here first and wait for approval? Because I don't know whether we should post in the character tab immediately or not. I plan on re-using my cold character(s) for this RP though.
Post it here first, are you using the same character as last time?
Typically this time frame uses the BBY to specify the year. Since the Battle of Yavin hasn't occurred yet and may never occur. I propose we use the BBG (before the Battle of Geonosis) & ABG (after the Battle of Geonosis).
The year in which the Invasion of Naboo took place would be 10 BBG (Episode 1) The year in which the Battle of Geonosis took place would be 0 ABG (Episode 2) The altered events that lead to this RP took place in the year 3 ABG. (altered Episode 3) The year in which this RP takes place is 8 ABG.
That works wonders! I will defiantly use that in this RP and give you credit
<Snipped quote by Nariata>Can you point to a specific instance from one of the six movies, Clone Wars, The Clone Wars, or Rebels where a crystal provided a benefit or a shortcoming?
Gameplay mechanics are not a valid reason.
Not in those instances no. There are other instances throughout the Star Wars Universe where crystals had provided some sort of benefit (e.g. Lambent, Kaiburr, etc.). So there are crystals that have appeared in some form or another in the Star Wars Universe other than games. You got me on the drawbacks, however. As i could not find any information regarding any Crystal's negative effects. So that will be removed from the OOC.
Mental Description: Peaceful by nature, Vishara does not enjoy fighting, but understands that it is a tool that must be utilized in certain circumstances. For this reason, she maintains extreme discipline with force and lightsaber usage, practicing both on a daily basis. She is a centered individual, but is fiercely loyal to the Jedi and the Jedi Code. She believes that the Jedi Code must be upheld to ensure peace in the galaxy, and grudgingly knows that she may have to fight to maintain its survival.
History: Vishara Aashtii was born on Shili, the homeworld of the Togruta. At a very young age a visiting Jedi discovered that she was force-sensitive and took her back to the Order for training. Despite hardly ever living among her people, she still retained their strong communal spirit, and thus devoted herself quickly to the ways of the Jedi, perhaps moreso than most. She lacks a strong sense of individuality, as she considers all Jedi to be one Whole, and each Jedi is simply an extension of the Whole. Despite this, she focused her lightsaber training in Form II, focusing on one-on-one dueling styles, finding the form to be beautiful and elegant.
Because of her strong devotion to the Jedi Order and her communal nature, she doesn't function well independently. She is known to get lonely easily, and does not handle isolation well. For this reason, she is never given missions that require her to work alone. She truly shines when working in a duo or a team, and will do whatever she can for the greater good of her companions.
Mental Description: Although she has been with the Jedi Order for over 200 years, she still considers herself somewhat an outcast within the order. She is also not the most... Upholding of the code. She does care for the order, knowing that without them, she would be consumed by hate. But at the same time, she is in a secret affair with Canderous, her Clone Commander, who she feels unwavering love towards.
Due to her actions during the Stark war, she has little confidence in her ability to command men. She usually leaves the actual commanding of the troops to Canderous whilst she is leading the charge.
History: Born on Dathomir, she was born into a Witch Coven, she grew up learning to control the Dark Side of the force. She grew strong in the Dark Side of the Force. When she was 20, she was sent to assassinate Jedi Master Plo-Koon, and failed. She was taken prisoner and exposed to the ways of the Jedi. All of her life, she had been taught that hate and passion were the only true means of attaining power, but here were the Jedi. They were the most widespread and powerful force weilding groups in the universe, who showed compassion to others. Perhaps, their way of doing things was the true way forward.
At first the Council forbade her entry into the order, the Witch's of Dathomir were known for their deceptiveness, but feeling no ill intent in her wish to join, Master Yoda accepted. She was placed under the direction of Jedi Master Plo-Koon, who taught her the Jedi way. Over the years, she fought for the Jedi for over 2 centuries. Although, she showed during the Stark Hyperspace War that she was rather a brash commander, her actions, though effective, showed that, as far as she had come, she was not ready to command many yet.
When the Clone Wars broke out, she was unavailable for the assault on Geonosis. But soon after, took command of the 139th and took part in a campaign to try and take Equipment:
Name: Name: CC-0023 (N-8) "Canderous" Race: Mandalorian (Clone) Age: 15 (Physically 30) Sex: Male Affiliation: GAR Rank: Commander Physical Description:
Mental Description: A Commander that fights with the ingenuity of the progenitor. Unlike his brothers, he is not bound by the programming of the Kaminoans. As such, he will question orders and often come up with his own way of doing things. This has made him somewhat a notorious member of the army. His strategies seem to be inconstant flux. Sometimes fighting with everything and wasting no expense to assure victory, but other times, he will fight to make sure that the battle ends with as many of his brothers safely returning home, as possible.
History: Although officially, only 6 Null class Clones survived the incubation process, a 7th was saved by their creator, his embryo kept in chemical stasis, then placed into the first batch of commanders. His creator believed that by allowing him greater freedom, he could become one of the greatest commanders that the Clone army had ever produced, thus proving that his Null's were not as poor an idea as originally thought.
Growing up, he managed to pass out of the clone training at the top of his class, due to his out of the box thinking. His most notable act was to sabotage the final test, slicing the droids before the test so that they would assist his team, rather than hinder them. He Equipment:
Name: CG-7825/7, informally "Whit" Race: Clone, modified Human Age: 18 Sex: Male
Affiliation: Grand Army of the Republic Rank: Captain of Gamma Company, 1st Battalion of the 3rd Infantry Regiment, Coruscant OrBat
Physical Description: A clone with few unique characteristic. Has aberrant blue eyes, as is common among early batchers. Is slightly taller than other clones.
Mental Description: One of the oldest surviving clone troopers in his Regiment, he is a commander who places a high value on the lives of his subordinates. He is straightforward and determined, experienced at knowing when to follow the field manual and when to improvise, but is by no means a risk taker (a factor no doubt contributing to his survival). He is perceptive, calculating, and is still filled with the absolute loyalty to the republic instilled during his indoctrination. He does not share the same reverence for the jedi that most of the less seasoned clones are filled with, seeing time and again the pro-jedi nepotism of command assignment put untrained greenhorns into ill-fated commands that led to horrible failures. He has a stronger impulse than most clones to protect civilian lives, something that he has picked up during his battle experience despite indoctrination ordering him otherwise.
History: Whit has been fighting the CIS since nearly the beginning of the Great War. He entered service four standard months after the battle of Geonosis, and served in dozens of battles leading up to the high water mark of Republic dominance, the Outer Rim Sieges. He earned his captaincy on Mygeeto and has served in the position for the last 5 years, earning a reputation in the Regiment for impressive skill in swift offensive operations. He fought on Dantooine, Torfan, Tythe and Sluis Van, and earned his Jaig Eyes at the doomed battle of Second Kashyyyk under the command of General Skywalker, after rescuing the wookiee head of state during the final siege. He has undergone ARC training, but due to a quirk in the increasingly disorganized oversight of the GAR he has never been a part of or directly commanded ARC troops.
Equipment: Phase IV-F Clone armor, colored red to indicate his captaincy. DC-22A Blaster Rifle, DC-17 pistol as a sidearm. Four frag grenades, two droid-poppers. Binoculars, dataslate, rations (three days), rappeling wire, full medkit, variable-wave command radio.
Other: Not Much
I like him. Let me know when he's finished.

If you're being a holdout for Disney's new canon, then no, I don't think so. That said, there were at least a couple crystals in the the old canon (actually in the comic books) that supposedly had powers. By name, all I can offer you is the Kaiburr crystal (Luke mentioned them when he was talking about lightsaber creation), though I'm sure a quick trip to the Star Wars wiki would give you a few more.
I'm thinking of making a character. Not 100% sure, but I thought I'd chime in with that and this. They'll more than likely be a separatist, given the amount of Republic characters. Maybe a gray Jedi or a bounty hunter.
Indeed you're right about the Kaiburr crystal. I am following more so the old canon then then new, i think they call it Star Wars Legends now. That is where I'm basing a lot of this RP in.
Name: Gin Intjausti
Race: Human
Age: 30
Rank: General
Physical description:
Mental description: Gin's sort of a mix of things. He can be arrogant, mostly in a fight, yet be the gentlest person you meet. His arrogance can be troublesome, often leading to flashes of anger that result in it being projected in the battlefield. Something that his superiors feel can lead him down a path to the dark side. On top of that, he can also be extremely vulnerable. There's also a lighter side to his engagements, often being sarcastic (something that helps keep him calm in dire situations).
History: Gin had just completed his training in the early stages of the Clone Wars. Trained under Ki-Adi Mundi, even at a young age, he was thrown into the heat of war, fighting alongside his master against the Separatists. Two instances; one where he returned to Coruscant, a bloody mess after being left behind on a mission where he was presumed dead by others, and another, where at impossible odds, he rallied a small bunch of Clone soldiers to fend off a hoard of Separatist droids resulted him in obtaining the rank of General. Regardless of the promotion, Gin still fought alongside his master when duty called. He didn't mind so much as he felt that there was still much more to learn in terms of leading soldiers.
Equipment: Lightsaber with green blade. Telescoping phrik staff that he utilizes along with his lightsaber from time to time.
Other: In terms of lightsaber technique, Gin's quite skilled in Form IV which is his favorite form. Thrown into the fray of war, where he encountered endless barrages of enemy blaster fire, Gin felt it necessary to touch up on Soresu as well. Gin can pilot crafts.
Name: Ardur Skor Age: 33 Sex: Male Orientation: Straight
Position: Security officer (Glorified mercenary.)
Qualifications: Served several years with the Targathian Freedom Fighters in the civil war on the planet of Agatha. Prior to this he was apart of the Agatha Military reaching the rank of Sergeant before defecting to the rebels. Since the war ended in a loss for the Freedom fighters Ardur has been working as a freelance mercenary for numerous factions/pilots/armies and has landed a gig as a security officer aboard the SIRIUS.
Appearance:
Personality: Ardur often comes off as a very rude man. He is quick to speak his mind and even quicker to punch someone when they come across as rude to him. He often carries a very demeaning demeanor, which often causes discomfort to those around him. Yet he is also very reserved with a part of him that he rarely shares with everyone. Stemming from his time with the Agatha army and the Freedom Fighters, he is quick to change the subject to something else very quickly when asked questions about this time period. But above all else he is an idealist, and as such he has a strict code of what is right and what is wrong. He is not afraid to do whatever it takes to see his ideals through to fruition.
Likes: Ardur loves a good beer, almost as much as he loves watching or playing a game of Agatha football. Though the combination of both often leads to disagreements in the bar, he welcomes the chance to prove once and for all that Agatha Football is the greatest sport out there. Ardur is an avid fan of any type of card game, be it a simple game of poker all the way to a drunken game of Ring of Fire. When he finds himself with some free time, he often focuses on keeping both his body and his skills honed. He also holds the native Agatha population in high regard, regardless of their affiliation or status.
Dislikes: Ardur hates talking about the civil war he participated in. Even the good deeds accomplished through his help bring a scornful look, and sometimes the threat of physical violence. In general the same could be said about politics. He also hates trying to hold an intellectual conversation, as he often gets confused with higher concepts.
Strengths: Since the day he was a young lad he was taught how to handle a rife. Over the years he has honed his skill to becoming quite proficient at shooting, He is also skilled in dealing with many undesirable people, through both force and choice of words. Weaknesses: Ardur is not the smartest man out there. He will often confuse what others consider a simple concept. Open to relationships: How the story progresses will determine this. (Yes) Relationships/family: None
Biography: Born and raised to one of the original settler families that colonized Agatha. His family often worked side by side with the native Agatha population. The Native Agathaian's were a proud, hard working sentient race of creatures. Their strength, and dexterous frame allowed them to work jobs that many considered 'hard' with little or no complaints. It was for this reason the Netyi Mining cooperation came to the planet, seeking to exploit the cheap and effective labor pool that was in abundance here.
When he came of age he enlisted with the Agatha Guard, serving for several years reaching the rank of sergeant. When the Agatha Civil War broke out when the native inhabitants and their sympathizers began attacking the mining operations, he initially fought the insurgents every chance he could get. But one faithful mission drove him away from the military and into the ranks of the rebels. The mission is something he will rarely talk about, but with often mutter "Damn Netyi Mining" at the mere mention of it.
Participating with the rebels in their conquest of the valuable mines located near Valinburg. He made a name for himself as a crack shot in the Battle of Toris, where the rebels dealt a serious blow to the Agatha Guard, defeating the military in open combat in the city of Toris
He fought the good fight for a few years, before the mining cooperation brought in mercenary forces to quell the rebellion. The brutality of these mercenaries, combined with their lack of Rules of Engagement, was unexpected. Within a year of their arrival, the rebellion was crushed and an example was made out of many prominent alien and sympathizers alike. Those unfortunate to survive this all were put back to works in the mines under harsh working conditions while a lucky few, Ardur included, made it off world. Since then he has floated from job to job, both reminded of his past in each job he takes while still looking for redemption.
What does SIRIUS mean to your character?: A chance for redemption. Ardur see's this Motley Crew of characters on board this ship and feels this is one of his last chances to do something meaningful, even if it's protecting a bunch of know it all's
A.O.B: Openly confident, inwardly conflicted.
Other: Ardur met Wymond Oroland while working for the Dumont Transportation Company when they were both hired on as additional guards for a high risk transport run. No sooner did the transports leave the city did a group of bandits attack, forcing both Ardur and Wymond as well as the rest of the guards to engage in an hour long rolling firefight. Nearing the end of the fight, when they had disembarked their vehicles to finish off what bandits still gave chase, Wymond managed to take out a bandit that had brought his gun to bear on Ardur. While it might have seemed trivial at the time, Ardur never forgot it. So, when he got a job as a Security Officer aboard the LWSC SIRIUS, he was fast to call Wymond in as help.
Sample post:
Sliding a hand across the front of her face to swipe away a fly which had flew a little to close for her liking, Anora found herself in an unusual spot considering. Sitting on a stack of crates down the road from the tavern where she had stayed, Anora was examining this city on the look out for an interesting story to listen in on or a good deal on something she needed. Around her all she could hear were merchants trying to explain why their goods were better than the shop next door and why they should pay extra money for it, or the odd conversation about how a night went wrong when someone drank one pint too many at one of the taverns. Those annoying fly s were jumping from people to people, stall to stall trying to find their next meal, and annoying her in the process. To her, this was as usual a day in the city as she had ever seen; those merchants were ripping off their customers, while those ill-tavern patrons were reciting a story she has heard ten times over while the flies were, well, the flies were flies.
But what was unusual was not the fact that she was sitting on a crate outside a merchants shop more so it was that she remained sitting in the middle of a cities market district and was not out the gate guarding another caravan or looking for work on one. But times were changing, Anora has heard stories about strange murders involving random people and a golden trinket. If ever there was a place for her to listen in on what people knew, this was the second best place in a town. The first best was in actuality was the tavern, in her limited experience alcohol has a funny way of allowing people to tell all sorts of strange tales. But it never got useful till later in the night, those who fancy the tavern would either be at home nursing their mind or on the street complaining about it and not there telling the information she wanted to hear. So here she sit, twirling three coins in her left hand waiting for information to present itself.
She would have craved information had it not been for the merchant who owned the crates returning to find this young woman sitting on one of his crates “Excuse me lass. Either ye buy sometin' or ye better get off me crate.” Arona stopped twirling the coins as she noticed a patient sound in his voice. She had been sitting out here all of ten minutes and she was getting no information on what was going on, begrudgingly she decided to play a game and see what he knew of those golden amulets. With a sigh, she turned her gaze towards her left to size up that who either wished for her to be gone or for her money. Her vision was greeted by the frail appearance of an elderly man in the twilight of his life. He appeared to be a couple inches shorter than her, while also having a slight hunch in his back. Reaching her hands up, she lowered her hood as she put on a fake smile as she spoke “I am sorry to bother, but I was told that maybe you might have some arrowheads here.”
The man gruffed a bit as he walked over to a chair she had not noticed before and he sat down. He looked over and with a frown on his face he spoke “None t'day. Anythin' else ye need?” His tone was direct, her response followed suit “I'm in need of a new cloak, my current one is rather old.” She paused as she did a quick examination of his shop, both outside and what she could see inside. “But it appears you have not, would you be kind enough to point me to a shop that has some?” As she finished she positioned one of the coins on her finger and flicked it to the old man, it flew for a second before it bounced off his shirt and fell to his lap. He quickly looked down and with a friendly smile on his face he simply said “Magnus might, 'tis over there.” He said while point a short walk down the street, she thought she saw which one he refereed to. She gave the man a smile, deciding to ask if he knew anything about the amulets as she left she stood up. “Thank you. If you wouldn't mind just one more question, have you seen anyone wearing a gold amulet of sorts around here.” But as she finished the face of the man grew confused, so without a hesitation she waved goodbye and was on her way. Taking his advice she soon found herself outside what she thought was Magnus's shop. She took a quick glance inside noticing a couple customers and the owner she presumed was Magnus. With a sigh she found yet another crate to sit on, this time crossing bother her leg and her arms and began to wait once more, while she listened for any useful information from within or around.
Name: Anora Divinio – Smuggler name: Selen Age: 25 Sex: Female Orientation: Straight Appearance Anora stands at a height of just five foot seven inches tall. Under her Eclipse shades she has sapphire blue eyes. Position: Knows a guy who knows a guy kinda gal -Pseudo hacker- She has some skill with hacking via the Intergalactic Net. Not proficient. -Inventor- Her main skill lies in inventing numerous gadgets that either work to perfection, or more commonly, fail miserably. -Smuggler- As she has developed a keen relation with many “merchants” on numerous planets, she can find a job that pays very easily. Qualifications: Has invented numerous devices that aid in both smuggling, and escaping from enemies. Has worked with numerous “business men” who always have a package or two needing to be discreetly taken off planet and moved to a secure destination elsewhere. Has contacts in certain parts of her parents company that can “lose” a valuable package or two. Has contacts in other parts of the underworld.
Personality: Most people, upon their first impression, would say that Anora does not have a personality. Rarely will she start a conversation and she feels no obligation to break awkward silences, no matter how long they last. Most strangers are greeted with the same “what do you want?” question. Yet once they get to know the woman who hides behind her Eclipses, they come to learn that she does not keep herself distant because of her lack of personality, more so because she is a very reserved woman who has a troubled past. Trust, at least for her, is the keystone of all relationships. At the start, she trusts not one stranger. Anyone who is an unknown to her has the possibility of being someone sent to get her, or get information out of her. But once you give her a reason for her to trust you, she will open up and a friendlier side will emerge.
Likes: Anora likes to make things, whether it works or not. Be it something as simple as a robot that cleans her rooms for her all the way to the complicated stuff. Any time she gets an idea for an invention she will find time and try and turn it into a success. She also likes making her parents lives hell. She is not against having a drink, but hates getting drunk. She is also an avid fan of any board game, be it chess or Galactic 500.
Dislikes: She hates, above all else, her parents company “Divinio Enterprises”. While the company originally helped her get into the bests schools, it also stole her technology and passed it off as their own. Anytime she see's her Eclipses knockoff, Moon Shades, she will often crack a smile at her family's inability to recreate what she made. She also hates anything to do with violence, preferring to find a way to talk herself out of any disadvantageous situations.
Strengths: Her inventions are her biggest strengths, as is her ability to continually make new ones. She also has contacts on numerous planets that will both offer her jobs or buy goods taken by means deemed unlawful. Anora is also a very smart woman, her upbringing allows her to both think effectively and quickly when thinking of a solution to a problem. Weaknesses: Fighting, metaphors and a good story. Open to relationships: How the story progresses will determine this. (Yes) Relationships/family: None worth mentioning
Biography: She has been long heralded by her family as a child prodigy of inventing. From an early age she could be found making trinkets and simple devices that made her life easier. When she entered her teens she was sent away to the best schools money could pay for, with degrees like Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering being just some of what she archived in this time. When she turned seventeen, she made a prototype device that she called the 'Eclipse'. This device would allow the wearer to have access to a series of maps, directions, as well as notice things of importance, like a police officer nearby or a potentially good sale at a store. It was a simple device that looked like any normal sun glasses. She left the prototype at home when she left for school one semester, and by the time the second week came around did the Intergalactic Net become flooded with this new technology called “Moon shades”. It looked like hers, functioned at half capacity and was released by her fathers company. Anora quickly returned home to find the first prototype missing and her family bragging to their friends of their accomplishment. When she confronted her father, he bragged that there was nothing she could do, that whatever she invented was his as way of repaying him for school. Yet the prototype they stole was just the first one she made, primitive compared to the next model she had planned to make. So, packing a few things and taking enough money out of her fathers account to be secure, did she set off into the world on her own; planning to both make her gadgets for herself as well as making her family's life hell. Things as simple as a smugglers HUD, that displayed a simple map of where the pick-up and drop off locations while being only usable by the smuggler himself, to things as standard issue on a smuggler ship such as the black out device.
The blackout device is her crowning achievement, one that has allowed her to have a name among the many in the smuggler field as well as pocket some hard earned cash. It uses an algorithm to break into encrypted channels unnoticed for a short duration, allowing the owner of said device to listen in on the chatter as well as flood it with noise to disrupt an enemy's response to anything a smuggler did.
It has been many years now, and her family still searches for her. Not just because she ran away, more so because they haven't been able to work out anything new with their 'Moon shades'. She knows if it was up to them, she would be stuck in a lab for the rest of her life making things that nobody will know were hers.
Though she has made many inventions that work to perfection, she has made many, many more that fail miserably. Often leading to both chaotic, and sometimes explosive, results.
What does SIRIUS mean to your character?: SIRIUS means a place where she can both feel safe from her family while contributing to something bigger than herself.
Name: Anora Jakae Age: 29 Sex: Femaile Race: Bpfasshi sub-species (Detailed by growth of thorns like objects from their heads) Affiliation: Sith - CIS Physical Description:
Mental Description: Anora views personal freedom as one of the most important aspects of life, as do her fellow Blackguard. She will fight and she will bleed to see oppressive regimes such as the Republic and the Jedi Order removed from power. She herself strives to keep the balance between the two sides of the force and make it one. But this is not to say this is an easy feat for her. She often gives in to the darker side of her mind. Becoming brash, over-confident and above all else short tempered. Yet when she allows the balance to keep control she exhibits a surprising amount of control and composure, often being very rational and quick thinking when in balance. Though she and her fellow Blackguard side with them, this is not to say she trusts that the CIS is and will be any better than those they fight, it just shows that she is willing to fight for their right to break off from the republic. And if tomorrow the CIS win the war and are no better than the Republic, Anora will gladly side with whomever has the courage to lead a rebellion against them.
History: Anora was born on one of the few habitable moons surrounding her races home world of Bpfassh, in the Sluis sector, during the year 43BBY. She was not born into a wealthy family nor was she forced to survive in the slums, rather her family managed to live out a precarious existence in the middle of the Grey area, often falling below the line of poverty and rarely making it above that Grey area into true comfort. Even from the young age of five Anora would attempt to help her family whenever she could, be it through helping her mother clean or what have you. Yet in her sixth year of her life, she received a blessing in disguise, though at first it seemed like a very badly scratched knee. Anora was on a walk outside when she tripped and fell, where the scratched knee came into existence. Immediately tears began to fall from her young face as she rocked back and forth on the ground, calling out to her mother and father for help, yet they never came. Many strangers were on the street that day and most would have walked passed her and none of them offered their help. As the tears continued to flow, her young self began to feel an anger building deep within her, anger that she was hurt and anger that she was alone as no one came to help. It was with this anger that Anora appeared as a blip on the proverbial radar of force sensitives, and one such fore sensitive was nearby and he came to her aid.
The man called himself a friend in the sea of strangers and told her she had much potential in her to be a strong Jedi one day. At the time, Anora did not know what a Jedi was nor what they believed in, but he was a man who had offered her help when she needed it. He took her back to her home, and with much persuasion, managed to get her parents blessing for her to be taken to an academy to hone her skills with the force and be taught the way of the Jedi. Though to a academy, she did not go nor the ways of the Jedi did she learn, for this man was indeed a Jedi but of a different name. He was called Jar'Rega, leader of the Dark Jedi conclave on Bpfassh and one who was brining in as many force sensitive children as he could find and was training them in the dark side of the force. This conclave was located on the main planet, and Anora remembers her first experience of setting foot there which stands out in stark contrast with the faded memories of this time. She remembers back at home, people would often talk about how easy life was on the main planet. Money was easy to make, people were happier and life was easier. Yet her eyes showed a different tale, they showed that it was all the same. People were still poor, always fighting a losing battle to make an existence while those in power wanted to keep it that way.
But training would not wait while she sat idly by and observed the similarities, rather she was ushered into training almost immediately where she trained in light saber combat and mastering the Dark side of the force. Among the twenty odd pupils she was easily seen as the best come her fifteenth year of age, being able to defeat all her fellow trainees as well as some of the more experienced Dark Jedi. She had learned long ago, she never wanted to offer any allegiance to the normal Jedi, her upbringing had her itching for more freedom than what was offered her, and the more she studied the Jedi code the more she despised their order. Yet being the best at this point was of no importance to Anora, she had already fallen in love with the Dark Side of the force and she had aspirations for the future. She studied as much as she could in improving her control with the Dark Side, saber combat and, what would prove most useful in the years to come, the old history of the Sith empire and their old teachings. She loved the idea of the Sith at the time, their ideals and their purpose excited the young Anora. Like many other Dark Jedi she wanted the power that being a Sith lord would grant, and while none came to take her as an apprentice she strived to learn as much as she could about them. One of the things she managed to find was a brief text on the Brotherhood of Darkness, telling of how every Sith was considered equal under this group.
Though she thought it did, her studies did not go unnoticed from outside sources, a member from the Blackguard discovered her and her Dark Jedi enclave and described her potential to her superiors. They tasked the young Elite Wielder named Vansk with bringing Anora in and begin her training at once. Though she refused at first, feeling like she belonged to the Dark Jedi, Anora eventually accepted upon learning that the Blackguard could trace back to the split of the Brotherhood.
But leaving these Dark Jedi was no easy feat, as Vansk lead Anora to a shuttle which would take them to the Blackguard base four of the senior members of this Dark Jedi group confronted them. They were angry at the pair, their anger at Vansk for poaching their most prized associate and their anger at Anora for her willingness to forsake everything they taught her. When words from Vansk failed to reason with them, it came down to a brief yet chaotic battle between the two groups. Anora, who had her lightsaber with her, lit it immediately and came to the defense of Vansk who had already slain two. As Vansk was finishing off a third, the fourth and final enemy started his attack from her left side. Anora, acting on instinct, rushed in and after a brief duel found her light saber had found a new home in the chest of the men, who's surprised and pain filled face was instantly burned into her memory. Anora deactivated her weapon as the man began to fall, her senses completely oblivious to all that was going on. While her mind was long ago dedicated to the Dark Side, her soul still yielded hope. Though the moments for her to ponder her first kill were few as a returned Vansk quickly rushed her into the shuttle, away from the twenty odd Dark Jedi's now racing towards the shuttle pad before they started their journey. As they left the planet Vansk spoke for the first time since before the conflict “You are no longer a Dark Jedi, if you can pass our trials you will be an Elite Minnion with me as your master.” The rest of the journey remained silent, as they made their way to Mustafar. Anora endured the trials, brutal they were but they were designed to thin the week from the strong and this is what made the Blackguard powerful. For the five, including Anora who went into the challenge only she passed. She was taken to an old Jedi academy, now the site of the Blackguard base, after this.
It was here where Anora learned what a Blackguard was. Unlike Dark Jedi, Jedi and even the Sith, Blackguard's viewed the force as one thing, with terms such as the Dark Side and the Light Side being nothing more than two ships sailing on the same stretch of space. Here, at the old ruins of a Jedi base, Blackguards who travel the Galaxy at large learning different philosophies and abilities of other force traditions come to both spread the knowledge, and teach the few that are brought into balance both sides of the force within themselves. This is something Anora found very frustrating, for her mind had long along given itself into darkness. Though she excelled in the additional training to these powers, as well as learning additonal saber techniques and learning to use and preferring a side handle lightsaber, she often felt her masters unapproving gaze upon her as it came time to practice the light side of the force.
It was on her twenty fourth birthday, eighteen years since she last saw her family and nine years after leaving this areal behind, did Anora get the chance to let the light back in, for Vansk took her back to her old home. It started off with a walk down a road than felt familiar to Anora, Vansk was talking about a great battle which took place not a few months back in her home system. The Dark Jedi,to who she had aligned, had decided to take their war to the people. They rampaged across the system and it was not until one of the most famous Jedi, master Yoda, and his forces were they put down. Vansk said, as per speculation from the people, that not one Dark Jedi survived the battle. Anora was hit hard by this news, not because of the fact that she owed them any allegiance any more but because she could and would have died there. Her master talked about how they were going to meet a friend who had witnessed the battle nearby, and a couple minutes later they found themselves at their door. What happened next surprised, and provided enough light back into her life to become balanced once more. What followed the door opening was a rush of an older man and woman, screaming her name, as they gave her the warmest embrace in her memory. Though at first her memory betrayed her, she did not remember who they were until the images of her parents flooded back in.
She spent a long night with her parents new home, where she learned that they tried to find her after the Jedi reported that any child which was supposedly taken to the Academy was in fact trained as a Dark Jedi and was recently slain. They had feared the worst for their daughter, for they recognized the man who had taken her as one of the deceased. She also learned that her parents, with out the struggle of making sure their daughter was provided for, managed to make their lives a bit more enjoyable. And after much time, both Anora and her master departed to return to her training. Though it was hard at first, she began to let the Light side back in and she began to become more balanced. Within the next couple months, she began to gain experience in many more aspects of the light side, eventually gaining the rank of Wilder and soon after to one of the few elite wielders on the blackguard, similar to that of a Jedi Master in rank and function. It took only a few more months before the death of Palpatine and the revelation that he was the Dark Lord of the Sith shocked the galaxy.
In the five years since, the Blackguard has aligned themselves with the CIS, providing the leadership and incite that was once provided by the Sith. Blackguards from all over the galaxy have flooded back to their academy where the decision was made to launch an all out assault on the Jedi Order. The Blackguard views the Jedi as no worse than the sith, as through their code they restrict the ability of all force sensitive people from being in balance. It was with this decision, and reports from the other factions of the CIS on their strengths, that a decision was made. Anora, and many other Blackguards have made the journey to the Capital city and now find themselves in orbit in one of the many battle-stations who are burning this cities skies. She, and her fellow Elite Wielders, now find themselves in front of a screen as they prepare to offer their terms to the Jedi order. Surrender and survive, fight and die.
Equipment: -2 Side-handle style red bladed lightsabers. The Blades are very short in comparison to other blades, forcing the combat closer to the enemy. This, combined with her powerful grasp of Force powers make her very dangerous in close combat. -1 Elite Blackguard armor set. Because of the fact that the numbers of the Blackguard Wielders and Elite Wielders are so few when compared with their Jedi counterparts, the armor they wear is of greater quality than that of the Jedi. The center mass part of the armor is made of a very durable material, one that is similar yet stronger than the armor of the B2 Battle Droid. The armor can withstand numerous blows from normal Blaster fire before it fails. This armor is only reserved for the Elite Wielders and numerous Wielders, the Minions do not receive any armor at all. The masks they wear pay homage to one of the most famous Jedi and Sith of all time as well as some of the fiercest race, Revan and the Mandalorian's. While the HUD is limited when compared to the clones, the wearers preferring to feel the force to find their targets, their helmets provide a comm system. They are able to change the channel on their right hand guard. While the armor on their chest is great, the armor on their arms and legs are lacking. Able to take one, maybe two shots before failure. There are two versions, that while completely identical in function, differ in appearance. One is for the female members of the order, and their armor contours more to their body while the other is the one shown above. Note; Lesser ranked blackguard wear this
Long long long ago, in a galaxy far away, and divided from this reality, is a place where things went quite differently for the Republic. Now as many of you know, Mace Windu failed to cut down the Sith Lord Palpatine, but what if he had? What if Anikin controlled his anger and let Windu deliver the final blow of justice? Logically a lot would have changed. Order 66 would never have been given and thus the Jedi thrived. The CIS leaders stationed on the planet Mustafar, would not have been killed by Anakin and without the fall of the CIS and the deactivation of there droid army, the Clone Wars would continue on. Worse, knowing the CIS, their manufacturing would increase over time and practically triple their armada in a span of five years. Then of course with their new found strength, they would dare to attack the Capital Planet of Coruscant itself!
This is where our legacy begins. As the droids fall to our planet, and their ships set fire to our skies, the Jedi and the 717th clone division struggle to hold the Jedi temple. At the same time as more and more men are cut down by blaster fire, the clones make a brave attempt to recapture the airfield where they can take the fight to the enemy. Will you as a jedi chose to help them? Will you defend the sacred temple? Or as a clone will you battle your way to the airfield and try to take the battle spaceward? Or do you believe the Jedi are the key and rush to assist them? Dividing your forces?
One choice can affect many lives, the force sings through everyone even to those who can't hear it. A critical moment approaches, what will you do?
Decide.
Hello everyone. This is Nariata, formerly Tankian and formerly Zeoul here bringing you one of the first RP's i mostly wrote. I say mostly because i need to give Chii her due for her help in organizing and fixing many of the errors i made in the process of writing this all those years ago. Now, for the RP the story is clear enough but i will allow you, the player, some freedom in creating your character. You can play as a Jedi, Clone, bounty hunter, sith character and so on. All that i ask is that you keep this as real as possible. Death and understanding will be a central theme in this story, things won't be as they seem.
This will be high casual so i ask for 2 or so posts per week, it's ok if you don't match this all the time but if your away for some time let me know. This rp has numerous destinations for us, the players, to take it so i ask that you keep an open mind as we go on.
Name: Race: Age: Sex: Affiliation: (Jedi - GAR - Sith - CIS) Rank Physical Description: (You can add a photo, just no Anime) Mental Description: History: Equipment: Other: (Whatever else i would need to know)
What has happened
All of this will be what has happened prior to the start of the RP. This is all that has been revealed but five years has been a long time. -The Clone wars have dragged on for another five years after the death of Palpatine. -After learning of his dual role, the CIS spends the first two years consolidating strength and rebuilding most of their power. -The CIS without the handicap of Palpatine had managed to make a resounding comeback to power. -Their fleet is on par with the Republic's in terms of numbers, and specialized ships, yet falls short in power. -The CIS have made an unlikely alliance with a faction calling themselves Blackguard. They are an order of Force users who, unlike the Jedi and their Sith ancestors, strive towards balancing the One force in themselves. Training in both the light side and dark side of the force, as well as whatever light saber techniques they could. In terms of the force they fall short, both to the Sith and the Jedi in both their respected sides but make up for it with their saber skills. -The CIS make an alliance with the Mandalore and his Mandalorian forces. Using them in tandem with the Blackguard as well as other Dark Jedi. -The CIS dose this in part of their effort to diversify their forces. The many problems facing the battle droids have provided the Republic with many victories. -The CIS, with their new found strength, assualt the capital planet of Coruscant for a second time. Forces on the planet have thus far managed to take an Airfield where three Imperator I Liberators (Not Star Destroyers, name change :P) are currently located.
I would like to join your Role Play, Nariata. I am interested in participating as a member of G Co. 1-3 IN (Coruscant), as a clone trooper serving under Captain "Whit" CG-7825/7, Eschatologist's character. I have not decided yet. I'll choose either a Lieutenant, Platoon Leader within the company or an NCO, possibly even his Company First Sergeant. I have no clue what if any chain of command exists for Star Wars Universe. The Company Senior NCO could possibly be Company Sergeant Major, since the films had a heavy British Influence. I assume it would be customary to use the same photograph of Temuera Morrison, who played Jango Fett and every clone trooper after him.
Welcome aboard! While it is the most common template, by no means is it the only template available for the clones. If you can create a plausible reason why the GAR would clone soldiers from another template then i'm all ears.
Expect the OOC to be live in around 8 hours time. Im off to work!
