I'm all for your darker fantasy themed stuff. Maybe we can craft something in which we can combine some of the ideas you have.
I'll all for world building and plotting and I love it to be more than a one shot and they lived happily ever after kind of stick.
All right here goes nothing.

Are there people out there that are interested in a Fantasy RP with elements of ASOIAF/GOT, Lotr, Dark Crystal, Shadow and Bones?
With which I mean medieval setting, potential families vs families/nations, mysteries and secrets, High magic set upon a world shaped like a Ring?

Why the 18+? Well, the horrors of war mostly and anyone who's seen the Dark Crystal series knows the 'this can't be a kids show' elements.
Not that that will feature heavily, but luck favours the prepared.
If all this hasn't put you off please continue reading:

"A Broken world was reformed.
A Serpent defeated.
A Sun was born.
And a Raven burned for it."

A lot of mystical nonsense spoken by dusty old mystics believing and reading too much into those mushroom dreams they kept having.
Well someone had to pen down a reason for the world being as it is and what better to 'inspire' the simple man than to butter him up with fairy tales?
After all the harsh truth is a more bitter pill to swallow.
Those that have travelled Sphere will have a more nuanced vision of reality. They know that it isn't all sunshine and roses, but that those happy endings are hard won, by sweat and blood. Or more precisely by Magic and Steel.
But those happy endings won't remain, already I hear of unrest brewing near the borders of several kingdoms. The scent of Blood is in the air and it almost seems like the world is waiting for something terrible to happen.
You can almost sense it...

-Lord Senroth Grenshaw

Welcome to the world of Sphere, its mystical land filled with magic and strange creatures alike.
So my hope is to jump with you into this world and create a nice adventure together, featuring wars, monsters and cataclysmic events.
And maybe we'll find out whether the prophecy holds any truth to it.
I'm willing, back from a relatively long break and need something new to get my hands on.
I love worldbuilding so perfectly fine with working with you to make something nice.
A few questions though:
What would be the prefered level of technology? (so are we talking Middle Ages or more advanced?)

How much of a fantasy aspect to you want to keep this in? So are we talking High fantasy/magic or Low with strict rules to them?

Will this be purely centered around the artefact or are we talking ASOIAF level of nation/family scheming?
Hi @Omni5876,

I've been absent for a long while too, just too much happening in RL to be able to post, I am back now, but see that I just missed you.
Hopefully you're doing well and I'll keep it stored away, just shoot me a message when you get back.
Take care aswell, stay safe your friend Deia

A story centered around two young individuals. One fleeing from a life of horror and fear, while the other find himself in an unsual predicament. Both having to set their deals, the question is however is; How far will they go?

The common name for the place will be The Half finger Woods due to a creepy legend that goes around the human towns:
(I'll post it here later)

As for tech well I am thinking Plumbing yes (Romans had it), as magic fixes a lot of things when wielded by a proper trained user (Hags and Shamans and the like) a lot of our tech won't be necessary or even considered since they have 'Tibault' to do that.
So smithing yes but why build canons when one can throw a fireball?
Also no computers, but we can have the equivalent of stored electricity (though it is forbidden and mostly used by mad men) not sure what you want to use it for but you can have it ;).
Also money is a real thing in this world, a simple farmgirl can't afford a horse, not unless she coughs up the proper money for it.

In this world Evil tends to use glamours & illusions to maintain their facade and being approachable.
This can be in form of their own magic or by a magical object.

Mankind is a mixed bag of friendly to plotting your murder for their own gains.

Hags are opportunists and enjoy their little games, but in the end they WILL get what they want from you. Tend to keep slaves. They wear glamours all of the time and are highly skilled in magic.

Ogres: Often loansharks getting their 'pound of flesh' so to speak, whilst most fairytales depict them as stupid, ours won't be. They're the ones that rule the underworld in the cities, where as the Hags prefer the civilized company of the upper classes. They keep slaves.

Giants: Large and Monstrous they mostly roam the lands, whilst their homes are mostly in Fellmound, using the landbridge to cross into our world. Yes, the landbridge of Fellmound holds a barrier that normally holds the giants out, but every once in a while one slips through.
They feast upon all that moves, large and animalistic and are always hungry. If they catch you you're dead. Say your goodbyes and final prayers.

Sirens: are alluring and beautiful Mermen that try to drown you and kill you. They're not in the habit of releasing their prey. They are vunerable though, especially out of the water.
Nyx are the female counterparts to the Siren, equally as beautiful, though they are more neutral in what they want. They tend to seduce young men as they can shapeshift and look for the right specimen when they desire their own offspring.

The Otherman: A Mysterious individual that is feared by all, even the Hags. Some say he is Fate personified others swear he's a Elder being whose motives are lost to insignificant creatures like us.

Morbrands:

Tenderlurers:

Well I want to take you along a grand story.
To deliver good quality such as Martin's own storytelling from ASOIAF. Anyone who knows the North Remembers book version knows what a brilliant writer Martin can be. (Here's to hoping he'll finish).
It's no problem, but should you want to work something out yourself or have a storyline and bits of lore to bring to the table by all means bring it.

I just had to give you a little impression in what the Tahjai will be like, cause it won't be the last we see of him. Have to keep you on your toes aswell.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOsFQ-VUeMw link to the song Eilis is using

Eilis barely believed her own audacity.
She’d kissed him.
And he had kissed back.
It had been innocent of course, a rush of desire and naivety instead of a hunger filled kiss.
Not that she didn’t have those feelings…It was just…Well…She blushed bright crimson at the thought of them…of her doing, going, all in so to say.
She wanted to berate herself. She needed to reel in those dirty thoughts, before he found out that she wanted him to warm her in quite a different way.
Heavens forbid he could actually dip into her dreams of late. She knew the Thread connection allowed for a lot of transference, but hopefully she would be spared that particular embarrassment.
She had particularly imagined those roughened and adept fingers of his trace…
No, no, no! Eilis shush! She cried at herself feeling her cheeks flare again as the images filled her head. As she shook her head for a second to mentally wipe her mind she knew she would have to keep it occupied with something else otherwise it would wander off again and heavens knew what would come up then.
As Eilis settled back against Arn, finding her spot she couldn’t help but shift her back for a moment of comfort, it was easily found, almost as if it were second nature. As she laid her head back against him she hummed softly and it wasn’t long before she softly whispered the words that had worked themselves on her tongue and filled her soul.
Her voice though soft was layered with magic, each breath forming a magic of its own as it was released in the air, creating an illusionary imagery of the gentlest light and the softest colours. It was one of the few things that she had been taught in the coven that she truly enjoyed doing.
The spell was child’s play and yet to be able to so clearly project one’s thoughts into a visual narrative of such detail and careful crafting not to mention giving it movement and life was of a different level of control.
Before them formed a two figures, each distinctly different from the other by appearance and colour, yet it there was no doubt to their identities.
The first that formed was a lithe dancing female form only to be surprised and joined by taller male figure, first circling one another before after a simple connecting of hands drew them closer to one another. Now they were no longer moving and weaving their spells separately, but by their connection grew closer and more complementary to one another. Moving in pace and turned to waltzing eventually. They twirled and swayed and soon there was no telling where one began or the other ended.
Eilis gazes at them lovingly and longingly, hoping her foolish notions of love and romance, the ones that she had gotten from fairytales and storybooks were not all lies.
Her fingertips softly glowed as they maintained the magical image, just for them, just for Arn and her.
It seemed somehow more magical than it already was. Perhaps it was because it was because the magic itself wasn’t shining brightly, so it was not as taxing on their eyes. More luminous, a softer glow using the little light of the stars to fill the figures with light and colours.
The spell however allowed Eilis to move into a sort of peaceful trance, instead of worrying all the time she found her solace in her little imagery.
So lost she was gazing at it that her mind didn’t register Umbra’s soft rumble. The wyrm made a noise that could best be described as something between a wavering purr or an uneasy growl.
It had registered and noticed the large Shadow moving through the darkness below them, circling now widely.
As the Night’s light slowly started to lighten by the tiniest and thinnest of slivers of dawn, they all were rudely torn from their slumbers as a rushing of air brushed past them, the Dragon and Wyrms barely dodging the large behemoth that had rushed up between them.
In that mere light the hungry glint was reflected in its dark eyes and in the wide mouth filled with razorlike teeth, ready to tear them apart and send them down a hole of bloody death.
It was a Gargantuan, the stuff from legends and nightmarish stories to frighten children. Not truly a dragon, nor a wyrm, but Serpentine in nature. It glided through the air silently ready to pounce upon unsuspecting prey. Using the extra skin as a sort of kite it bend the air and sky to its will and the fan on its tail allowed for extra acceleration. This thing would eat them for breakfast if it got the opportunity and it was perhaps a blessing from the All Mother that this horror didn’t have the claws to grasp his prey with otherwise they wouldn’t have stood a chance.
Tyrhallan was the first to regain his senses, name it battle instinct or simply not wanting to be a sitting duck, he ordered Viscera to rush up to Tobhias and Alexa.
“GO! And Mage keep an eye on this bastard, help her evade it!”
An otherworldly shriek silenced the rest of his words as they all covered their ears in pain at the loud pitch of it.
Eilis looked on horrified wondering not for the first time whether she was some sort of bad luck charm.
Here is my work in progress I had in on paper first, but found Inkarnate then and here's a little glimpse of our world as I envision it.
@TheMerlinTM's of creation are yours obviously I wouldn't dream of stealing, gotta give credit where its due.
