*looks at IC OP* Well, I assume that means I'm accepted? :P
So, here's my updated CS. It's mostly the same as the one on Iwaku, except for that this one is actually completed. Also, I've made a few adjustments here and there.
Name: Lily Rhine

Gender: N/A, though 'she' looks Female

Apparent age: about 20.

Actual age: N/A; reasons are explained below. This form has existed for 19 years

Race: Water sprite

Physical appearance:
For the most part, Lily’s outward appearance is pretty much human, aside from a few key differences. For one, her fair skin has a slight blue glower to it, something which quite obviously is not found all that often in humans. Second, her hands and feet have a webbing of sorts to it, another hint that she’s an aquatic being rather than a terrestrial one. Third, both her hair color and the color of her eyes is a bright blue – albeit not the exact same tint -- , which again are not natural colors for humans. Of course, with the help of magic, no hair or eye color is truly unavailable, but still. As for her hair style; it mostly falls straight down to about her shoulder, with a small white curly bit right at the bottom, creating an effect much like the foam of a breaking wave. Her ears look somewhat like an elf’s, having a similar point at the top, with the difference that in this case the pointy end is somewhat curled back, creating a droplet-like shape.
In terms of length, Lily stands at about 1,70M. Her build is quite tender, meant more for easy movement rather than combat. Due to how her species’ biology works, the Sprite’s chest is pretty much completely flat.
Clothing:

Character Concept: Water mage, healer (sort of)

Equipment:
* An enchanted water bottle filled with, well, water.. Although it's not much larger than the average field bottle lots of people have, the content volume is much larger. Put simply, it's like a Bag of Holding, but only for water. It is, however, not truly bottomless, and it can and will run out if not refreshed every once in a while. The contents of this bottle are both used to drink and to serve as fuel for her magical attacks.
* A simple staff, used mostly as a tool to control aforementioned magical attacks. (By 'Staff', I mean the classical mage staff, not the Eastern Monk-type Staff). It's set with a large aquamarine gem at the tip, and the side has several runes on it.
* A custom magic sleeping bag . It has a special enchantment on it to allow it to keep water inside instead of out, essentially turning it into a bubble of sorts.

Due to plot reasons, Lily lost her other items some time before meeting up with the rest of the team. Not that she needs a whole lot of tools, mind you, but normally she at least carries some of the most basic of the basic adventurer’s supplies with her too.

Personality: Lily is quite grown up when compared to the rest of her species, which for the most part consists of nothing but pranksters. Of course, this is almost to be expected when you’re talking about a race that’s inherently immortal but doesn’t keep any experience through each phase, locking the most of them in permanent childhood. Lily, on the other hand, is a bit more serious. Sure, she still likes pulling a prank on someone now and then, but she’s had it blown up in her face often enough to make sure to only try something when she knows she can get away with it. Not to mention the fact that, right now, she has bigger things on her mind than playing games.

Goals:
- To become strong enough to get a certain jerkass monster to leave her spring.
- Finding friends.
- Having fun.

Beliefs:
- Have respect for nature; Whatever you do to it, good or bad, it will repay the favor.
- There's no reason to be sad about things from the past. Either fix your problems or move on, but don't pout over them.
- Whatever you do, make sure you have fun doing so.

Background:
A spirit of nature, 'Lily' has technically lived as long as water itself. Whenever a Sprite’s body 'dies', his/her spirit is drawn to the nearest large body of her element -- in Lily's case, water. As a result, they're technically immortal. However, under normal circumstances, Sprites do not retain their memories if such a thing happens.
As for her current Cycle, Lily's been living in a spring in a forest near the kingdom for quite a while. Recently, however, a monster has come in and claimed the spring as his own, chasing off any and all of the original residents. Lily, not being an idiot, decided to go away for now. Taking her enchanted bottle and trusty staff , she set out to find calmer waters (pun may or may not be intended). Eventually, though, she's planning on reclaiming her spring, both for herself and all the other Sprites who lived in and around it.
In an attempt to get strong enough to defeat the beast that had taken over her home, Lily went on a quest together with a group of other adventurers. It… didn’t go quite as planned. The party was surprised by a group of monsters, who swiftly took the unfortunate souls out one by one. Lily was the only one to survive, barely managing to drag her battered body to a nearby pool of water in the midst of the chaos. In there, she slowly recovered her wounds. Of course, seeing as she was now partyless in a part of the dungeon where her entire party just got wiped out, the Sprite has been stuck there ever since.

Racial Traits: All Sprites have innate control over their element. Which, in Lily's case, would be control over water. This includes water vapors (And technically steam. However, see below for why this generally causes problems) , but does not include ice or other solid forms of water. On an addendum, this also means that she is effectively immune against water attacks pointed at her -- assuming that it's not ice or something like that, of course.
Although Lily cannot truly create water from nothing, she can draw water out of the air if said air is humid enough. In addition, she can use her own body's reserves to attack enemies with. However, this drains her out even faster than she would normally, so it's pretty much only used as a last resort, when not doing so means imminent death anyway.

As a Water Sprite, Lily is very dependent on, well, water, and needs to drink/absorb large amounts of it in order to survive - failure to do so will first lead to her powers weakening and her starting to feel dizzy. Further lack of hydration will result in hindered mobility and grogginess, unconsciousness and eventually death. Of course, this would technically happen to humans too, but it happens far quicker with Lily. If completely derived of any source of water, the process might take as little as 24 hours, even shorter if the area she's in is abnormally hot. As a precaution to this, she always carries an enchanted bottle filled with water on her, which she guards as if her life depends on it. Which, to be fair, pretty much is the case.
She has a low heat tolerance, and can't stand freezing cold either. Large open fires are an especially big no-no, for reasons that should be obvious. Open water, on the other hand, allows Lilly to regenerate any injuries she might have. However, this process is far from instant, depending on the severity of the injury. Small injuries like cuts and bruises are healed relatively fast, but major injuries (Pretty much anything that would be deadly if not treated quickly enough) can take several hours.

Known skills:
- Obviously enough, Lily is a great swimmer, both in terms of speed and grace. Due to the fact that she can breathe in water, she can stay underwater indefinitely.
- Similarly, she can use her control over water to sort of ‘dance’ in/on the stuff. Of course, this doesn’t really have any use in combat, but at least it can raise the mood a bit, and it tends to net her some small change when used in a town. Which, given that she doesn’t really have the skills, knowledge or physical strength needed to do pretty much any other job, is a good thing.

Known spells/powers:
-Aside from her race’s innate ability to control water, Lily doesn’t have all that many abilities. She’s relatively weak physically, instead relying on a combination of her magical abilities and trickery to either take down enemies from a distance or to run away from them.
- While still in the city, Lily picked up some healing magic. Although she’s not nearly as skilled as any of the priests who have trained their entire lives, she’s able to heal smaller wounds. The fact that healing potions mostly consist of herbs diluted in water, allowing her to apply it directly to the wound and keep it there helps a lot too.
So, that's a thing. Is this okay?
Well, like the others said, it's not really a nice thing to do. Not only are you skipping work without an acceptable reason (If you had one, you didn't have to lie about being sick), causing others to have to do your work too while you still get paid for it, but it also causes some major problems if you get caught. Your teacher/boss will not only be distrusting towards you, but also towards anyone else with the same excuse, even if it's actually legit for them. So yeah, don't do it :P

...That being said, I would be lying if I said I have never done this in the past for whatever reason >_>.

4 months, 29 OOC pages later, the setting is falling apart and the heroes are thinking of leaving the place.

Ooh, new idea! Let's turn it into the evil overlord's (read: GM) fortress! :D
After one last torn look at Euclid, Leon followed GM, who at least seemed to be switched out of Murder Mode. After all, there was no sense in making the guy wait, possibly ticking him off again. As small as the delay was, though, it was enough for Leon to still be in the hallway when GM reopened his computer. Even from there, the sharp light from the monitor caused an unnatural glow to radiate into the hall.
With his eyes half closed, Leon stumbled into the room, blindly searching for the light switch whilst muttering something about stupidly bright lights. Where is the stupid light in this place anyway? Seriously, it has to be around here somewhere...
As if on cue, the young man found the light switch moments later, the slowly activating lamp bathing the room in a far mor appreciable light. "Seriously, how can you work like that? Don't you know that that's really b-b-b... bad for your eyes?," he started, his voice drifting off in confusion when GM switched the laptop into hologram mode. "You'd figure I wouldn't be surprised by something like this after everything that happened," he muttered, staring at the image of what was obviously the beast that had attacked him, albeit not in a starving state.

"Meh, whatever. Anyway... To answer your question: 'Rin' leapt up and attacked my arm," he continued, subconciously rubbing said arm -- which, as you might expect to be the case with touching somewhat fresh wounds, turned out to be a bad idea. The pain, which up until now was reduced to an annoying throb, came back in the form of a sharp surge. Grunting, muttering and biting his hand in a poor attempt to suppress actual screaming and cursing, the poor kid had to take a short break in his explanation. When he finally managed to catch his breath a bit, he went on. "...After that, Rose stabbed Rin with a kitchen knife. I don't know if the thing had any special properties though. I think I then used the bag I was carrying as a hammer of sorts. The fact that it was filled with several heavy bottles amongst a bunch of other stuff probably helped in that end. Not to mention the adrenalin."

I am not talking the specifics of human history such as this country won this war, or this group committed atrocities. I am talking about human history of the species being violent evil garbage.

Yes, humans are assholes, I agree with this. If not corrected, we will tend to choose what's best for ourselves and/or out "tribe". It's simple nature to act like that. However, just because this is true does not mean that violence is the only way in which you can correct such behaviour. In fact, I would dare say that violence alone does nothing to solve the underlying problem, the reason why people act like that in the first place. As long as that problem is not fixed, it will happen again, either with you but with more force, or with someone else who does not have the strength to fight back.

Hmm. How about we try approaching this from a different position since we're not all getting through to each other, using clarification.

#1: If it's non-verbal abuse, what do you do, what avenues are available, and in what order do you do those things? (ex: Do you first attempt to communicate, then turn to others for help, then resort to violence as a last resort? Is there an ordered structure, is it one option only, is it situational dependent?)

#2: If it's physical abuse, what do you do, what avenues are available, and in what order do you do those things?

#3: If it's physical or verbal abuse by a parent, what do you do, what avenues are available, and in what order do you do those things?

It seems we all agree these things are problems but we don't agree on resolution, so lets try to clarify the questions a bit more, then put the solutions more in a list of most favourable to least favourable as opposed to some generic "my way is right". Isn't this the sort of situation where there are multiple solutions, but some might be better than others anyway?

About the first question: Did you meant to say "non-verbal abuse", or did you make a typo of sorts and meant to say "verbal abuse"? I want to assume the latter, because the former is incredibly vague. Also, on that matter, are we supposed to think from the victim's position, or from a third party's?

Don't fight violence with violence you fight violence with even greater violence.
If a bully hits you, put his ass in the hospital. If a bully breaks your arm or whatever put his ass in the ground.

I'll ask you a very simple question: Why? Why do you feel this way?
So... I'm going to go against the flow here and say that I'm wholly against using violence just to 'teach people a lesson'. I mean, using violence to stop someone from harming a third person at this moment makes perfect sense to me; it's not like mostly anyone will listen to rationality in the heat of a fight anyway, regardless of the reason of said fight. This also includes the somewhat over-the-top tyrant argument; I can completely understand using violence to break up a spree of abuse. However, when such immediate danger is not present, using violence against someone will more than likely only cause them to be more pissed off. The underlying problem, the reason that they're acting out in the first place, has not been fixed at all. In fact, it might very well reinforce their thought pattern of "Might makes right." Not to mention Harris's note that, in this day and age, using violence against a school bully could just cause said bully to bring a weapon next time.

Mind you, I am NOT saying we should just say "Bad Peter, you shouldn't punch Jimmy in the face, that's not a nice thing to do", then simply walk away. What I am saying is that there are other ways to stop people like that. When we're speakig about adults, throw them in jail for the crime of physical abuse and force them to undergo therapy. If it's still a child (Which, as far as I care, would be anything below 16 at the least, possibly anything below 18 even), punish them by taking away their priviliges and, if it's more than a momentary outburst, force them to undergo therapy -- which, of course, should be age appropriate. The main goal here is to, especially with children, make them understand that using violence is flatout unacceptable in current society and to show them what effects their actions have on their victims.
Now, I hear you thinking; 'But what if the guy is a true sociopath?'. Well, in that scenario I doubt that using violence will magically cure said sociopathy. They tried that in the past, and generally it only made things worse, further screwing up the person in question. The best we can do is to just protect society as a whole and cast them out/throw them in jail.

Anyway, short version:
Using violence to stop something that's happening right now: Okay, within reason (No bringing a fully automatic assault rifle to a school bully, to give an extreme example)
Kicking someone while they're already on the ground, or so to speak: Not okay.
Understandably, Leon was shocked when GM made Rose quite literally disappear. Before Leon could actually say anything about it, the perpetrator explained that he didn't kill her. The wordings he used were a little strange, though. 'Stored away'? What was that supposed to mean? Not that Leon had any time to think about it, though, seeing as GM then turned his attention to his soon-to-be-minion. The young man's eyes widened for a second, fearing that he would soon share Rose's fate, then closed in submission. ...only to slowly open again in confusion when what he expected to happen, well, didn't. Instead, all that came over him was a strange, hard to describe sensation. It was almost as if someone had stuffed cotton in his head, causing a somewhat detached, dizzying feeling, which then disappeared just as suddenly as it came.
Once again, though, Leon barely had any time to wonder about what just happened to him, seeing as GM started to talk to him almost immediately. Much like the last time, the exact wording of how he was supposed to help with Rin sort of worried Leon about what could happen in the future. But, seeing as he wasn't really in any state to talk back, the young man didn't raise any objections. "Uhm, I think you left in my room. ...Well, the room where I was sleeping, that is," he answered GM's questions. Then, with a questioning look on his face, he continued. "Shall we go?"
So uhm... what did GM just do to Leon? Also, should I feel violated? O_o
