The people who wrote the instructions for my sister's new printer failed to consider that I might be tripping balls while trying to help her set it up.

Met a guy yesterday who looked and sounded exactly like Hank Hill. Made my week. Logged in today and realized yesterday was this accounts sixth birthday. The universe gave me a gift for the occasion.

Finally getting to that age where I realize that I'm becoming my dad. Called some guy at work "old boy" because I couldn't remember his name. If I order any ww2 books just put me down like a dog, man.
This, this means war. We will break their spirits, their minds, their bodies. And when they've lost all hope. When they've been defeated. Only then, will we mercifully grind them to dust under heel.
The year is 2029. An exciting new energy source, dubbed Vestis, is changing the way the world functions. None of this matters to the Immortals. They have existed since the dawn of man, unable to die. They still walk the Earth, their numbers unknown, hunted by every world government. Some use their abilities to ruthlessly obtain power, some take the time to learn every skill they can, others search endlessly for a way to die. Whatever they have done in the past no longer matters. For nigh is the dawn of a new age. Like it or not, they will be part of the Age of Immortals.
The Immortals are human-looking beings that have walked the Earth for longer than they remember. They seem to vary in appearance of age, most look to be between 19-30 years old, while others can look as young as ten or as old as eighty. They have no outstanding abilities aside from the fact that they cannot die. Any wounds they take will begin to heal themselves within hours or even minutes depending on severity. It has been confirmed that they do feel pain. It seems as though it may be possible for an Immortal to die if another Immortal inflicts the wounds.
NOTE: Many Immortals make for dangerous enemies, they may seem almost superhuman in whatever skills they may possess. They’ve had all of eternity to hone them.
Vesits is a new energy source synthesized of unknown materials. It is found naturally, deep within the Earth, but in such small amounts that it isn’t profitable to find and refine. In it’s raw form, it takes the form of a syrupy liquid. In its refined form, it takes the appearance of a crystal. Most weapons and vehicles are either enhanced or powered by Vestis, with special slots for Crystals. Some individuals have the ability to trigger whatever element the Vestis crystal is (Fire, Water, Earth, Lightning, Dark, Light, Healing) with only their hands, the element coming off in different colored “streams”, similar to Force Lightning from Star Wars. Crystals may be broken for a sort of “explosion” of the element.
Technology is mostly the same as it is in present day, with the exception of Vestis powered or enhanced machines and weapons. A sort of Laser-like weapon using fire Vesits has been created. Most firearms use bullets with tiny Vestis crystals implanted into them, giving them strange elemental effects.
And that’s the interest check. What do you guys think? Have questions or comments? If I gather some interest, I’ll add a CS.
Appearance: Oz is 5’ 11” and 146 pounds. He’s slim and lean, but not muscled. He has light brown hair and beard that makes him look significantly older than he actually is. He has an unreadable face and pale green eyes. When not working, he tends to dress more formally than is required. When working, he wears his standard uniform.
Skills/Abilities:
Sidearm Training: “Rifles? Too much kick to them. Give me a pistol and I can put some decent shots down-range”
Extensive Medical Knowledge: “My parents were army medics, I grew up reading medical textbooks.”
Exceptional Cook: ”I should’ve been a chef, really. Not as much life-saving, but so much more money.”
Archimedes PDP M3: A common pistol with plentiful ammo, high accuracy, and moderate stopping power.
Abrams Medical Operations Suit (MOS): Lovingly referred to as the "Moss" by users, the A-MOS can be found in some form in almost every Hospital, Infirmary, or Doctor's Office. The combat version of the suit (see Uniform) worn by Oz is very lightly armored, not enough to stop bullets, but enough to slow them to a non-fatal velocity. It has a holster for the PDP on its left side, as well as a pair of Medical Analysis Goggles. The "Mags" can, given about three minutes, display the vitals of any one patient that Oz observes.
Medical Supplies: Fairly run-of-the-mill medical supplies. Synthetic medicated bandages, antibiotics, a field surgery kit, and three syringes of Adamerol, an emergency coagulant and painkiller combo, useful for high-risk situations in which the wounded are needed to fight.
Personality: Oz has a reputation for being fairly mild-mannered. While he’s not quiet in his opinions, he does know when to keep quiet. He’s exceptionally intelligent, but never had to speak out loud very much most of his life. He has a slight stutter, but his words are carefully chosen. He has a good sense of humor and doesn’t take himself too seriously, making him good at making friends.
