Personality
Tinu has a fun-loving, friendly soul that tends to accidentally cause trouble from time to time. Her respect for life shines through in all aspects of her life, like her fighting style and her adamant refusal to eat meat. Often, she goes on unannounced detours, enjoying meeting new people and seeing new places. She has a sense of humor that includes slightly annoying her friends, potentially to their chagrin. She has little difficulty empathyzing with anything, ranging from the small and short lives of the pharaoh ant to the lives of people around her. Her biggest downfall is not only stubbornness, but also anger when people act without care for the world around them.
She tends to be protecive of life in general, being her friends’ lives or her enemies’. She opposes strongly against the act of killing in battle, the exception being Grimm. She is unafraid to do whatever it takes to uphold this value, even if it ends up ruining a mission. When there’s someone injured or weak that requires aid, she’s the first to throw herself in front of them. If she can be a distraction and save a life, then she’s succeeded in her eyes. This trait is more of a negative rather than a positive. It can lead to her making foolish actions in battle that negatively affect her health, not that she would care. Her protectiveness can also lead to emotional outbursts, especially when she feels as if people around her don’t realize the preciousness of life.
In battle, Tinu tends to be playful and condescending, abusing others’ anger or annoyance to her advantage. This, along with her high mobility and her fighting style focusing on evasion, lets her play the role of decoy. She excels in the act of provocation and enjoys making her opponents feel played with. This allows her to fight devensively and avoid seriously hurting anything (with the exception of the Grimm), while still being effective. Her main goal in battle is to abuse the enemy’s emotions to make them focus on her.

Fears
The fear of losing control over her emotions is prevalent. She herself is a ticking time bomb, and something in the future will make her explode.
The fear of fatally hurting something out of anger.
Motivation
Her main motivation is her deep desire (and sometimes impulse) to protect everyone so that they themselves don’t have to. This ranges from children, to the elderly, to animals, and even to other fully capable students. She also believes that the spread her parents’ teachings could change the world for the better, and even inspire the next generation to make a group based off of them. To become a Huntress would allow her to protect others with the ability to become respected enough for her ideals to be considered.
Brief Bio
“Anyone’s capable of great good and great evil. Everyone has to be treated like they’re worth giving a chance.”
The quote that defines Tinu herself is also one that comes from her parents’ teachings. Her parents’ great-grandparents had once been part of a tribe, one that was almost nomadic in nature. The teachings of the tribe had been of peace, that all living things were precious and connected and life was meant to be preserved. The nature of the people was tranquil. The culture of this long-forgotten tribe was passed on by Tinu’s lineage, and it was seen as her duty to uphold these values.
Upon hearing of Tinu’s want to learn to fight, her parents were slightly put off, yet not surprised. They taught her a way to fight that would have the greatest chance of preserving life, and also taught her to travel the path of least resistance. This fighting style was defined by its’ coiling and uncoiling motions, swift and evasive in nature. The constant circular movements were made to represent something peacefully flowing through wind, and they were said to evoke the explosive power of it. Her parents hoped after learning this that she would still opt for a life of peace.
But learning of Huntsmen and Huntresses only further increased her want to protect others. It was a profession that her parents first expressed disdain of, telling her that it went against her teachings.
Their opinion changed after witnessing Tinu go through several events in her life. They all had a similar pattern; a person, injured or simply physically weak, was in need of saving from someone larger than them. In all of these situations, her semblance activated, diverting the bully’s attention from the other person long enough for them to escape. It wasn’t as if she had only done this when she knew she would come out safely, either. Many of those situations were with people much older and stronger than her, yet she showed little to no fear in the face of these events. After her parents became aware of this, they began to realize that the Huntsmen and Huntresses were the embodiment of the desire to preserve life.
As a result, they allowed the young Tinu to begin studying more and more about the outside world, while still teaching her of her culture. She quickly became proficient enough in martial arts to take down Grimm, and her ability to fight them only improved. Her parents allowed her to apply for Beacon, and she had been accepted.
She chose Beacon because of the name. Beacon made her think of a beacon of hope. A beacon of hope was something she wanted to be for everyone, no matter who they were.
Semblance
“All Eyes On Me!” - Tinu’s self-named semblance represents her desire to protect. To be activated, Tinu must first have eye contact with the target. When activated, Tinu makes her presence unbearably known to her target. The target would describe it as like they couldn’t keep their eyes off of her no matter how hard they tried. The semblance requires concentration, meaning if she is hit or if something happens that makes her divert her attention from using the semblance, it’ll deactivate. The main downside to the ability is that because it requires extreme concentration, it becomes hard for Tinu to move without crashing into something and unconsciously deactivating the semblance. It can be activated in quick succession as long as it was consciously deactivated. If she was hit or something suddenly got her full attention, the semblance would not be able to be used for 60 seconds. Most powerful with a team.
Weaponry -
Lom and TamTwo 12-ribbed, iron folding fans. The fans have both the ability to parry strikes when unfolded and to strike while folded. Both fans have air dust crystals imbued within them. The crystals can be charged, but only while the fans are unfolded. They are charged by either the wind itself or going through movement that is similar to the wind. In Tinu’s case, her fighting style perfectly compliments these weapons. Her aforementioned swift, circular, and flowing movements simulate the wind and allow the dust crystals to be charged (albeit slower than just having wind blow on them naturally.) If she was just moving and doing nothing else in an attempt to charge them, it’d take about a minute for them to fully charge. Only when the crystals are fully charged are when Tinu can fold the fan with the charged crystal. This releases the energy in the form of a blast of wind, one that can propel her in any direction she chooses. It can also be used to hit far away enemies.
Other
Tinu is a strict vegetarian.
She has many quotes and proverbs memorized.
