Intro post up for the child of Eris. Feel free to interact, come hit the doob or something lol. Gonna scribble two NPC characters tomorrow morning. Another male and a female, just debating on which cabin would be easiest to drop them in. I seriously want to do a child of a Gorgon, not Medusa of course. That would be cliche but one of her sisters. If my memory serves me right she had one sister hell bent on mercileas mudering?
Julius fidgeted under the burgundy sheets of his large bed. The sound of roars, cheering, and proclamations of victory reached even through the Cabins outer layer of stone and passed the obsidian walls of his bedroom. He froze in place, before ripping the sheets from over his head revealing his unkempt afro. Without looking over, still staring at the ceiling, his hand reached out to his nightstand. He blindly fumbled for his lighter, then his morning breakfast. Still laying on his back he slipped the RAW cone between his lips, flicked his Bic, and began his morning routine, inhaling until his chest poked out as if he was standing at attention.
Cabin 21- Designated to the Children of Eris. The lack of demigods in this place makes it easier on Jewels, being around too many people constantly while trying to piece his memory back might not be too beneficial. He sat on his California King Size bed, exhaling large clouds of smoke into the air. āThe bud wiser he told himself as he always does. Jewels threw his legs over the edge, slouching in his long white socks and boxers. On the opposite side of the room hangs a bulletin board with pictures of all the children in Camp Half Blood. With his joint hanging in his mouth he used his two free hands to lift him up off the bed, and proceeded to approach. The children's pictures were all grouped with their respective Cabins.
Jewels recently created the board in order to keep up with those he chooses who to rebuild relationships with, and amongst other things. Others were pulled from the cabin groupings in their own category, potential friend, beneficial, dangerous, potential enemies, not to be trusted. Next to the board were tendencies of such campers he's observed and noted in the past two weeks. He didn't know what to expect from his peers or what they expected from him. The only thing he was sure about was, he belonged here.
Dressing himself with no intentions for the day besides observing, simply a pair of black basketball shorts, and throwing his camp shirt over his bare torso. The smoke eventually engulfed the upstairs, impairing his sight. He had to wave his hands in front of his path just to get a gist of direction. The entire cabin was built like a studio apartment, being Jewels was the only occupant.
The bedroom was open visually from downstairs only separated by railing. An spacious lounge area filled the bottom floor. A dark colored sectional sat in the middle, smoking paraphernalia littered the floors. Posters of athletes, terrorist, and music groups splattered all over the walls. Kicking through a pile of HighTimes magazines, he pushed through the revolving door leading outside to the camp grounds.
The vibrant sun smacked him in the face, blinding him momentarily. Smoke seeped out from behind him, the aroma of āHerculeavesā trailed with him as he stepped onto the greenery. It didn't take long for his eyes to adjust to the light. The obvious direction of pandemonium was directed towards the Obstacle Tower. If it's one thing he enjoyed more than being stonedā¦ā¦. Okay maybe not more but close enough, was the conflict and rivalry that brewed during Camp activities. Taking another long drag, and exhaling all in the same motion, he casually strolled towards the Tartarus Tower.
Walking in the general direction he caught eye of someone tagged āBeneficialā. Blonde hair, entering the Morpheus Cabin, name starts with a M last time he checked. Now wouldn't be a good time though, Jewels was more interested in the pink haired girl. His assumption of her having more experience in the dream realm being the get respective Cabin counselor. Dreams hold memories he hypothesized.
Arriving to the event, he could feel the power in the area. Conflicts between rivaling Cabins sparked left to right as they cheered on their brothers and sisters. He didn't even have to activate his power, today he chose to just soak in the essence of the arena. A sly smirk crept on Jewels face, his eyes barely open but his vision keen. He spotted the girl of dreams, protected by her bodyguard as he label the Child of Hades. āNo direct approaches. The girl will chop my head off. Their sitting with their friend, one of Mr.Dās crazy kids. I'll slip next to the hell spawn and keep my mouth shut. Possibly get more info on herā. he mumbled to himself between drags.
Walking up to the stands he sat in his targeted destination next to the girl he has posted on his wall. She was the center of of a particular group, a group Jewels refused to not go unwatched. Erin Marie Chaseā¦ā¦ Potentially dangerous.
@Vicier SUCCESS!! Also just reviewed the first quest details. Who'd better to be affiliated with potential war of the gods then Eli's mother. I'm now debating on joining the quest (if possible) he may be a target at Camp if he stays. But staying and leaving both holds potential benefits that I'm not yet ready to reveal.

@Vicier I'm almost positive Eli is ready for the character page and his intro post. Corrected the drug cabin pact, and focused his Demi-abilities on more of his legacy but he still inherited a core ability from Eris but the description of shorter than the other because it's kinda hard for me to explain how someone could manipulate Discord besides the obvious.
I'm virtually done with Eli King. Just have to throw in a few tweaks for his ETc information and get his relationships squared away. Can I request someone being my rival and arch nemesis but still my best friend? Like a love/ hate type of thing

Eli doesn't necessarily hold ties or relations with anyone in camp at the moment. His memory was targeted in his last quest erasing most social connections he's had at camp. But he's already determined that he can form these bonds again.
Personality:
Julius has always been a misguided youth. Due to his unique traits inherited by his mother, trouble always seems to follow the young demigod. Even til this day he wondered if it was his uncontrolled aura, or his father was just unnaturally that bad of an influence. Growing up in a city of expensive gamblers, loan sharks, drug dealers, and women? No chance of influence on a kid right? He's always rebelled, openly and frequently opposing authority. Constant run ins with law enforcements has driven him to resent authority and those with titles of power. This resentment stretches even to the Thrones of Olympus, though not arrogant or outspoken to know his place, but will still challenge anyone's power he feels necessary none the less. āThe Fallen Guru Jewelsā as he grew in age so did his mind.
Eli lives on playing the odds in a sly manner, no matter what they be. He watched his father whom at the time was employed at a Casino, play coworkers or other shady individuals at their kitchen table. Practically losing their apartment one game! Constantly watching, hand after hand, shuffle after shuffle, tantrum after tantrum he could sense the adrenaline in their frustration. Their act of throwing bottles and swiping cards of the table, all the disorder. This is what kept the youth around at the games. From the ages 3-13 he stuck around. Learning, not just how to gamble on a table but how to gamble in life. How to bluff your way out of a sticky situation. How to con your way from nothing to something. Having to take a potential loss to possibly gain more in the long run. The simple possibility of getting caught, hurt, exposed just boosts his enthusiasm. Spontaneous and impulsive are also words to describe him.
When the time calls for it; such as during a battle or exchanging opinions in the war room, young Eli doesn't necessarily straighten up from his casual slouch. Though a change in tone and facial expression is easily noticeable. Very few have ever seen him express any emotion outside of his normal character though kids in Cabin 21 claim he gets militaristic when heās focused on a task. Like a completely new person possesses his body and he becomes iron willed, strategic, and analyzing. Living on the thin line between order and chaos; he still has trouble balancing the two out.
Lastly, Julius is very obsessed with his sense of purpose - to find out the truth, to find out who he really was. Even though it's already defined that he is the Son of Eris he still searches for his meaning in life. What's he too become? How will he impact the world? All he knows for a fact is he'll be great. This drives him to find the answers by any means, most campers are confused when he drifts off in conversations about purpose. In truth he simply wishes for everyone to find their purposes (personally thinks some is worth more than others). His abstract and unorthodox views on certain topics have been seen as philosophic and enlightening. Given his natural chaotic nature and unique insight he's attained a label of āThe Fallen Guru Jewelsā.

When Julius used to gamble in the āGold Slumsā he was extremely paranoid though the other troubled teens felt their was no age restriction on finding your own way. Eli was well aware if he was caught in the Slums word would get back to his father. So he took the steps in honing his situational awareness; the ability to observe his surroundings and make detailed assessments about his environment? So that he could mark exits and other potentially useful resources for any occasion.
The young demigod also has an aptitude for extreme and combative sports. The adrenaline he receives from partaking in such events almost gives him the feel of ecstasy. Combat sports are focused on conflict, an area young Eli thrives and draws power from making his common rivals in that particular field to be those in Ares cabin, whom also draws power from conflicts. Extreme Sports are dangerous, and potentially hazardous to health and well beingā¦ā¦. Which is why Eli dices in head first. His almost addiction to adrenaline and chance taking has proven to be beneficial. Granting him skills in fields that many care less to dwell on.
Lastly āThe Great Fallen Guruā is quite adept at using his hands. With movements smoother than a magicianās whom he'd visually studied from. His pickpocketing is awful by anyone's standards though up close āmagicā and precision with thrown objects has proven useful to himself.
Biography:
Mommy Jewels; his father wouldn't hesitate to call him, childhood was not a common one. Most kids are told to stay away from gambling, and the casinos in general. But not Julius, without a trustworthy babysitter his father was forced to turn his usual work schedule to āFather and Sonā. Locked in a hotel room with a promiscuous hostess most of the time. ,āThe monsters here are way less scarier ā Cedric would jokingly warn him. Little did he knowā¦...
At the very beginning of brain development Eli was bred in a environment of sin. Once old enough to, the young demigod eventually began sneaking out the room to go watch the tables and soon escaping the entire hotel. The Luxor is where Eli learned about life at an extremely fast pace. But the streets of Vegas is where he learned how life works. Mentally he was already a man by the time he was 8. Attending public school, you can't imagine how much of a badass you'd think you are by telling your bus mates āI live in a casinoā.
At the age of 8 years old regulars at the Casino knew Eli better than the dealers. He was a bad luck charm, and the individual gamblers would pay the young demigod to lurk around a certain side of the table, or stick with (trail) someone to disrupt their odds of winning. This was money, money is what Eli liked. He retained everything he saw; the poker faces, the lies, scams, and deceit. By the time he was 10 he was sitting at the tables now, conning the richest out of a $100 just to shut up. Refusal would cause a scene, Eli jumping or throwing something on someone, out vice versa. Pulling out chairs for beautiful women to distract a group of male players at his father's blackjack table.
Eli and Cedric moved up the ladder together. As his father took promotions in the Casino, Eli promoted himself. His own scamming would improve or need find a new outlet. As he continued to progress in age, the more his father stressed staying at the hotel. Naturally the more the youth wanted to explore. Once young Eli hit the double digits it was almost as if security worked for his dad and not the Casino. Someone always followed, watched, caught, or meddled in Eliās affairs. With his business mind developing, a regular day riding home from school became a rally. Eli promoted his idea of āThe Gold Slumsā a series of alleyways and abandoned evacuation tunnels on the strip.
It took āThe Slumsā 2 years to gain any notice. Kids would ruin away from home in dreams of shooting dice and getting rich enough to live their own life. Others their to simply pick a fight, done hiding from truant officers as by this time Eli was also. The Slums were created not only by the demigod though with other kids of similar interests. A common place for random police cars pulling up for the illegal activities poisoning the youth. Though Eli thrived in the environment. In tight situations he could always find a way. āThe Slumlordsā a gang started by Eli and done of the top con artist and gamblers his age didn't last long before he was sent away to Camp. The Slums are more rumored to be even more flooded then before, with the majority of unfortunate youth picking the Slums over a government run orphanage.
On his 13th birthday it was revealed to Eli that he was not normal like the rest of the children. He only expected as much, if he held a grudge towards someone something significantly pleasing would happen. Sometimes he'd touch things that fall apart, always around an argument or fight. It was explained that the Casino strip was a great place to keep you hidden among the mortal monsters (gamblers, prostitutes, gangsters). And Cedric thanks Eris & Mercury birth for their assistance in watching over him. It wasn't much longer before his goatley companion hauled him off to a new life at Camp.

Demigod Abilities:
Discord Manipulation- Eli has the power to manipulate discord to cause conflict, disagreement, and incompatibility between others to disorganize individuals/groups or cause internal strife. The young demigodās ability has been perfected over time at the camp. Though sometimes uncontrollable through certain emotions. Hand in hand with the ability to cause discord, he can also absorb it. Thus neutralizing potential chaos, threats, and strife
Enhanced Dexterity- Eli can precisely control his movements and muscles, making him (for the most part) unable to be clumsy or fumbling. He can keep near perfect balance, or juggle effortlessly without ever tripping or falling over. He can even move his finger or toes effortlessly, with tendon strain no longer being a problem.
āThe Fallen Guruā (ironic noe isnt it) can only fall over when physically uprooted or pushed, though most times he still can land on his feet. Eli has proven to be able to stand up right on even the most unstable of surfaces, such as a moving vehicle, a collapsing building, or an earthquake. He also is able to regain balance or bounce back to his feet quickly and perform feats such as, throwing a knife, or fighting at seemingly impossible angles and positions.
Business Intuition- Possesses incredible skill in running businesses and companies. Using this ability, he can perform such feats as always making the right choice when it comes to advancing said business and predicting sources of money crises. This particular ability has many real world and mythical applications. Paired with his situational awareness and long history of conning he's quite the business man. Any topic of situation involving trade or currency he will excel at beyond expectations.

Attributes: The Nimbus 3000 Sneakers are a pair of winged shoes, the last gift from his father before leaving to camp. These particular kicks grants the user inhuman leg based abilities (Though without proper training this attribute could prove useless). With the 3000 activated, Eli is able to defy laws of gravity such as; running vertically on any surface, magnetic influence, increased leap ability, and doubles the overall leg strength of the user. The sneakers lastly provides a āCloud comforting cushioningā giving the wearer a feel of walking and landing on the softest clouds of Olympus.

Eli will almost never be seen with a weapon. He excels at Hand-to-Hand/ Close Quarters Combat (CQC). Although training classes on weaponry is an everyday thing at Camp Half Blood, and virtually everyone has a weapon of choice, Eli has not. He much prefers to move lighter and quicker than his opponents; utilizing his natural agility and speed (Son of Hermes/Mercury) to gain an advantage. This has not stopped him from continuing to practice with ranged weapons such ; throwing knives, shuriken, and at times playing cards.
Julius has a business contract written by himself with an anonymous camper in Cabin #4 for a continuous supply of marijuana. The strains the Children of Demeter create are visually appealing, and most importantly more potent than anything possibly found in the mortal world. Once he smoked some white bud that literally made him float 2 inches off the ground for a few hours.
Eliās memory was recently tampered with during his last quest (2 weeks prior) though he seems to have retained all knowledge besides his social connections. Smoking has actually been helping with his memory. Though superb in their abilities, even the efforts of Morpheus Cabin has proven futile to piecing his memory back together through locked away parts of his consciousness and forgotten dreams.

As for a character idea I wish to create a son of Eris Goddess of Chaos. In a odd time for her, she seeked harmony in an attempt to defy Zeus for her purpose. (Basically saying you want me to destroy, I'll build instead. REBEL!!!!) Which led her to Egypt where she encounters a god of order and much more, Ra.
Ra the Sun/Sky God would be the boy's legacy seeing how direct descendents from Egyptian gods seem rare. Say Ra was in possession of a vessel while engaging Eris.
