Sorry for being gone for so long, I've just been going through a lot of shit recently. Work has wrung me out dry so badly I got fired from one of my jobs. I'll try my best to post something for Kyra.
Anitta watched as everyone started to interact with each other. For a bunch of monsters, they seemed quite friendly! At least... Until the lich arrived. She boasted herself as better than the others, to which Anitta simply ignored. She suppose it wasn't surprising that some people in this guild was full of themselves. But Anitta certainly wasn't going to cause a problem. Another, Mark, was more than capable of getting into trouble himself. Initially Anitta saw Marx as a rather curious fellow; not many would call themselves heroes except the young or naive, and he didn't seem the type to be foolish. But his words towards the Lich, while perhaps not entirely undeserving towards the lich, showed that he had a particular view about her kind. Anitta wasn't sure how to feel about that. While she certainly had no particular love towards the undead, she doesn't have any hatred either. If one came to harm her, she would slay it, but she'd not go so far as to condemn all undead or anyone related to them. But perhaps that was only because Anitta has never confronted the undead before. Perhaps Marx has a tradgey in his life related to them. She shouldn't judge... Though Anitta still did.
"Please... Let's not fight..."
Things weren't looking much better when others joined in in both in the defense and opposition of both parties. Anitta watched but didn't participate, though seeing the two exchange verbal blows, Anitta did distance herself. And she started dancing. She planted her naginata into the ground to brace herself as she began to weave the magic around her. She expected violence and wished to stop them, but she knew that she couldn't simply stand between them or try to trade blows. She had a... Different idea. Onlookers would see Anitta dancing around with her naginata, twirling and weaving through the air. But the magically inclined could sense the flow of mana following her movements, growing in power and intensity. Some may even notice clouds starting to form. Anitta hoped that before her dance was done, everyone would have settled down peacefully. If not... Anitta could only hope for the best. But prepare for the worse.
Anitta was never one to judge a book by it's cover. She's heard plenty of tales of brave heroes and mighty warriors who have fallen against a seemingly underestimating foe. And this lone debilitated building was no different. Sure, it may be empty. Sure, it lacked much charm or character... But it was going to be home. Her home. And where her legend begins. It's humble beginnings would only serve to make the rise to fortune and fame even grander. Anitta knew this.
As for her future company, Anitta was optimistic. While some communities and people distrust monsters, the Dawnstar tribe was no stranger to girls of different species. While still mostly human, Anitta was no stranger to the likes of beast, demons, and fairies. Admittedly many of the girls she saw here Anitta has never seen before, but she was certain that they would be good and honorable. If they weren't, Anitta would sort them out soon enough. Soon a meek young man came out to greet them, introducing himself as Neil. Apparently Bart went out to get furniture. How one man would do that himself Anitta wasn't sure, but she trusted that her new guild master knew what he was doing.
"Greetings," Anitta stepped forward and bowed. "I am Anitta the Blade Dancer, of the Dawnstar Tribe. I am pleased to make your acquaintance. Please take good care of me." Anitta's voice was soft and gentle, like the hands of a seducer. Though she introduced herself, Anitta still wore her mask; the blank white wooden face plate hiding her expression. Only her cold blue eyes could be seen through the slits.
I made a human! Albeit a human with magic, but hopefully she'll be able to carry her weight.
Appearance:
Name: Anitta The Blade Dancer Race: Human Magic/Abilities: Anitta can do a variety of dances that have magical powers from increasing her strength, summoning magical storms, to healing her allies. She can do these dances as much as she wants, but if anything interrupts these dances her spell fizzles out.
Dervish Dance - This dance is Anitta’s main dance while she fights. The longer she dances the more powerful she becomes, as she gets faster, stronger, and tougher. It has the benefit of being the easiest dance that Anitta can do thanks to all her training, so that even if she’s struck she can recover and continue the dance without breaking the performance.
Maelstrom - A powerful dance that allows Anitta to summon a deadly storm to rip apart her enemies with powerful winds and fry them with lightning bolts. It takes a while to summon however, up to ten minutes of constant and uninterrupted dancing. But once summoned, she can control the storm freely and direct as long as she continues dancing.
Restoration Wave - A new dance that Anitta has learned, this fairly short dance will heal her allies nearby, mending wounds, curing poisons and ailments, and restoring their stamina. The only drawback is that Anitta herself does not benefit from the dance, only her allies.
Personality: Anitta is a confident and seductive woman. Knowing that many lust for her, she uses her charms to manipulate people into doing what she wants. Fortunately for most, what she wants tends to be things other people want too, or at least nothing too big for people to give. She’s a free-spirit who doesn’t like being bound to one place, but also treasures her bonds with others, so she generally seeks to befriend and accompany close companions. That being said Anitta does have a vengeful streak and once she sets her sights on an enemy, she’ll be very determined to one-up and defeat her foe by any means necessary.
Background: Anitta was born in a nomadic tribe called the Dawnstar Walkers, a mystical human tribe who have an intricate relationship with magic. Each one is capable of channeling magic through rituals, and the skilled ones become Dancers. Anitta was raised to become a dancer, utilizing her natural agility to weave the magic around her even in the most dire of circumstances. When she was seven years old, she was one of the few children who was selected to become a Dancer, trained in warfare so that she could protect herself as well as expand her repertoire of dances.
Anitta never saw much outside of her tribe. They were very protective of their customs, and as a Dancer Anitta would always be bound to the tribe. It wasn’t a fate she chose, but one that was forced upon her. She loved her family and her people, but she longed to see the world outside of the walls that kept her inside. Her chance came when she was eighteen years old: as part of her training, Anitta was to finally see the world, and use everything she was taught to change the world somehow. Only once she has left her mark on the outside world would she be allowed back to the tribe and complete her training as a true Dancer. Eager to finally see the world Anitta was one of the first to leave, exploring everything she could and seeing all sorts of people both good and bad.
A few months out of the tribe, and Anitta became a sellsword. Dancers from the Dawnstar Walkers were rare and fairly unknown, so Anitta hoped to spread their name and glory for all to recognize. That being said, their lack of popularity worked against her many times. Most people aren’t looking for graceful dancers when they need hired muscle. Anitta was never discouraged, but she struggled to find work. It wasn’t until she received a mysterious letter from a man name Bart that she saw a chance to spread the word about Dawnstar Dancers. The money was good too, but a chance to go out into the world and become famous was what Anitta wanted most. The world was her stage, and Anitta it’s star.
I might have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with centaurs...
