I’ve worked min wage jobs and I’ve done the bare minimum and have still gotten the measly ten cent raises yearly and good references from them. There really is no point, bare minimum gets you by.

"A party? Damn bro, You just want me to violate parole huh?" Grane picked out a business card from his stack. It seemed professionally made, something he hadn't expected, but, what the hell. At least he was getting a party! sort of. It didn't seem as if class was starting anytime soon, the professor was MIA as far as he knew, so it was a perfect time to invite everyone. Grane began tossing cards on the desks of students present in history class. "Party coming up. Call my man Gren for more details!" He haphazardly threw cards and people, as if they were singles and he was the richest guy to have ever lived. "It'll be great! Booze, noodles, steak, blackjack, hookers, we're going to have it all! Grane soon had cards on everyone's desk, and took his own seat to prepare for class.
Are you doge? Because wow.
That may or may not be a thing that happens. But I'll put that on the list.

Bringing up Robert's family, huh? That's low, man. Really low. (You'll probably find out why eventually, he's not the kind of guy to keep secrets.)

"When the hell did you learn to write? Shit dude, you could barely read the last time I saw you, let alone write your own damn name." Grane gave Gren a firm handshake, with bone crushing pressure, just like the old days.

"You know how it is in Vacuo. Fucking hot as hell and nothing to do man, cept burn alive. And last I checked, ditching our last employers didn't really sit well with em. Pretty sure they were trying to track you down for a while. Didn't wanna give them anything to trace back to you ya know? Seems like you're the same as usual- Just do, don't think. Me, well, I slipped away for a while and decided I would go to Beacon because my old buddy Gren always wanted to be a Hunter! But look who's here, in the flesh! You keep contact with that mother of yours still?"

Despite his rowdiness, it occurred to Grane he should probably introduce his squadmates. It would be the polite thing to do after all.

"Delta! come over here! See this guy? He's a bro. Gren, Delta. Not much of a name, I know, but Delta seems like a chill guy. Likes coffee though. But you know me. More of a liquor kinda guy, but every man to his own I suppose. I think he's army too." Grane lowered his voice a bit, hopefully so Delta would not hear his comments. "Kinda like those Atlas dogs we fought way back when eh?" Grane chuckled a bit before continuing on in a normal tone of voice. "I think I can get along with him. It's the team leader I'm more worried about. Seems to be zoning off a bit. A bit desperate too. Dunno if you know him, but his name is Robert. Sure did... I guess break down if you haven't noticed." Seriously, their so called leader couldn't apparently stand a few moments of alone time. Did he need his mother every once in a while too? In the deserts of Vacuo, this man would be easy prey. Not that anyone would waste their time killing someone this pathetic.

"I'm honestly worried for my well being if Robert's going to lead us into battle. Me and Delta seem to have calm nerves. We can handle ourselves. I'm afraid Robert is going to simply panic or zone out and be a liability. And you know how weak leaders always get more than themselves killed."

For the moment, Robert and Eve seemed content with the conversation they had going. Did Eve even acknowledge his reply? Who knew. Robert seemed to answer all her questions anyway, so Grane assumed Eve merely believed conversation with him wasn't interesting. It was apparently genderless, so that threw human right out the window. He was slightly curious of it's origin, but Grane wondered if it would be rude to ask Delta directly about Eve. People had a tendency to take innocent questions as insults for some reason.

The walk to class seemed oddly solitary, despite his teammates being literally right next to him. So far there wasn't much comradeship, but Grane supposed they had only just met and he was being a bit harsh. At least the next class was history, a subject he had no trouble with. Walking into the classroom, he noticed there was already students that had arrived, though few in number. Funny, he thought his team would have been first. There was a tiger faunus, a few humans...

And a familiar face. Grane wondered for a moment if he was hallucinating- The liquor did that to him sometimes. Wouldn't be the first time. But, Gren did tell him he was going to be a hunter. Grane just thought they would be rational enough not to enroll the crazy bastard. But lo and behold, he had been proven wrong, if that was Gren in that chair. There could only be so many boar faunus in Beacon anyway.

"There is only one motherfucker I've known that is as ugly as you. I'll be damned if that isn't you Gren! How the hell did you trick these humans into letting a poor excuse of a faunus into Beacon?"

Good and evil are defined by actions, both methods and results, but intentions will always blur that line. This is the simplest form of how to make good and bad characters and some that are near the middle, but if you want to make it even more convoluted... Take a page from Metal Gear Solid. They blur the lines of good and bad so frequently you yourself even find it hard to trust characters you meet. I can't explain how they do it. I only just got into the series' deeper story.

Using character example, I considered putting Lucius, my senior character as an antagonist, even though originally I planned on writing a new one for that. The reason being was that he had the ruthlessness and methodical approach that the cool calm collected types of villains have. I moved him over to the senior side in the end though.

Metal Gear Solid frequently shows that even "villains" have kinder, un-villain like personality traits. Well, when they're not trying to kill everyone who are against their goals. Take a look at Sniper Wolf- Even though she is part of a terrorist organization who hijacked a nuke, she wounded, then used Meryl to draw out snake, basically told snake she would dedicate her life to killing him, turns out to have a soft spot for animals, particularly wolves, and even shows regret for joining said terrorist organization. There are probably more and better examples in MGS, but sniper wolf was always the character I regretted killing.

I could also say that many of the "good" characters also have traits deem villainy, but an example escapes me at the moment.
Is there still room or am I screwed when it comes to joining this

I'm just about to be against including any more people. The sole remaining places left are the final member of the undefined senior team with Onarax, Crimmy, and Sho on it, and the fifth member of Midnight Squad.

After that we will be closed to new signups.

By the way, to all the new people: take a good look at the Conference Document and add yourselves to the player roster and other things.

This should answer your question.

I'm pretty sure both of those slots were filled too. Lugu can clarify for ya once he gets on the thread.

I want to strangle you right now. Oh my gosh, I had to spend so much money, my hard earned cash to buy the models, paints, paint brushes, glue, clippers, blades, templates, dice, and even several tape measures. I also spent so much of my time assembling and painting, maybe more time building the darn things than playing with them. Cries.

Dang! Two of those things!? That guy must have been popular in Apoc Games.

Well I sorta do those things now, and whatever free cash I have from my minimum wage job I usually am able to buy 1 model or something lel. Maybe two if I'm lucky. Currently trying to build a regular IG army in my free time. I managed to save up to have enough money to buy two leman russes, and thats currently all that my regular army composes of.

He sorta gets the ire of everyone in an apocalypse game because they're so damn big, and you can get that kind of firepower with tiger sharks (and also not take up 1/4 of the tabletop) and usually none of us have the expensive models required to take it down. Maybe someone will be lucky enough to have a reaver titan, which is definitely not enough to take down both of them >_>

Elysian Drop Troopers Army!?

Holy crap! That is like a Forge World Army! Oh my gosh, that must have been expensive as hell as you have to convert the money into pounds! I wasted over 1000 US dollars buying just some 2000 point armies of Orks and Ogres! You must either have a lot of spare cash for some reason, or you are rich.

Actually, an uncle of mine used to love w40k, and play it every moment he was able to. But he got a job which required him to travel in several states, and didn't have much time to play w40k, (nor was he interested in bringing all his models with him) so he told me I could take it all. I didn't have to paint anything or spend a dime. Lucky break for me, as the prices these days are cancerous.

There is a guy in my local hobby shop who bought 2 tau mantas (Which are 1.5k US dollars apiece)
